just finished watching guilty crown. it was pretty amazing.
Same here. Funny thing is everyone I've ever met, including /a/, told me this anime is terrible. You lied to me, ./a/.
Posting best grill.
yea im not sure why people would say its terrible. its alot to ingest but its still really good and lots of oh my wat moments.
I had a problem with a few things here and there, especially early on, but besides that it was quite a solid show. 10/10 characters.
yea i agree. first 10-11 episodes arent eventfull compared to what happens later on. its character building etc. and it seems really boring at first but if you stick it through, blows your mind
Well I'm re downloading it, I watched it so long ago I forgot exactly why its shit. But it is shit, make no mistake.
Am I being bated?
well you are entitled to your opinion. i can see why peoople would think it was shit but if you can realize what they actually accomplished its pretty awesome.
I enjoyed it for what it was, a fun ride with an extra helping of Fuck Shu.
Seriously, those writers must have had it out for the poor guy.
yea they definetly fucked shu at every possible point lol. like WHY AT THE ENDING DID THEY DO THAT WHYYYYY, is there a backstory for why they did that to him at the ending? (trying not to spoil)
am i on /a/ or is op just samefagging the shit out of this thread? GC is a trainwreck of plot holes and while i did enjoy it, it was enjoyment one gets watching a train go up in flames with fellow anons.
I liked it too. felt bad for poor little Shu
I think a lot of the hate comes from the overall pacing of the series. Most people I know who watched and hated it (including a large group of /a/nons), had the displeasure of watching this series when it aired.
Shit pacing + weekly waiting = bad experience.
On top of that the series had an ending that left many feeling unsatisfied. It's not the ending I think most wanted, plus it left so much shit unanswered.
If you did have the pleasure of marathoning the series that the pacing problem didn't/shouldn't effect you. However the ending might.
Honestly had the series been a little longer it could have fixed the problems, thought that does not mean it's not worth the watch. Shu is one of the few beta-faggot MC that mature within their own series, and that alone makes it worth a watch..
we were promised the next code geass/eva. we were PROMISED. I was not amused.
Wow, you have shit taste.
>not dropping it before even starting it
Yes. Inori was blind due to the cancer (if you rewatch the scene where they're reunited you'll notice that she can't see him, she says it herself.) and Shu had absorbed it into himself with his Void.
im responding to people who are responding to the thread.
yea i can see that. watched the first 10 episodes two weeks ago and then marathoned the rest tonight, i was like wait what, but quickly remembered. and shu definetly had alot of mood swings, and personality changes that fit the style of the anime at the point in time.
I don't see how the show would have pacing problems. Each episode had a lot of meat to it.
fuck i caught that but didnt fully catch it. dam makes too much sense now.
If only you were here man, you missed some fun weekly discussions.
Amazingly bad, maybe.
It's actually one of the plot holes of the series because
He should have caught way more than just blindness since he essentially absorbed the cancer from the entire fucking world.
The only explanation for this not being a plot hole being that Inori took up the rest of the burden and left shu with only a small part - which came from herself.
No, I watched it a short period of time. It is just shit, thats all. Shit plot, shit abilities, shit girls, shit war, shit robots.
yea yea. thought about that one as well and the 2nd one was the only clear answer for that, makes sense but kinda like what at the same time.
Yeah because since when can inori absorb shit like shuu can? iknorite?
seriously lol. TECHNOLOGY MAN it is you know like 2040 or something
It was a fun trainwreck.
Nah. They're just setting him up to be paired up with best girl. I mean come on.
>both lost their 'loves'
>both have disabilities
>already close to one another
This is writing itself.
In other words they just wanted more suffering for shoe and wrote in a inconsistency just to fuck him over. Sasuga guilty crown writers.
Feelings, reaching, 17%, etc.
Pretty sure Lost Christmas is the last we'll see of this series.
the only thing i can think of is
that inori absorbed the kings power and took the cancer with her into her digital realm
Watch the OP and slow it down. Shoes life is a lie.
well you can kind of see the hip/foot attachments that are from when shu used her void and gave her the ability too walk/fly/superspeed
I wish i had a better picture of this.
I honestly thought they were going to be okay after seeing this clip
Unfortunately only one of them came out of the crystal.
Why did he go blind
Shu is one of the shittest protags in /a/ history
however, inori went from autistic, milquetoast whore into a 10/10 waifu by the end
Hitler mode Shu was the best thing since MD Geist
around the end inori had gone blind (Watch the clips closely). He absorbed her blindness, thus she was able to see him one more time before they parted.
Every Araki show ever.
The expectations for it were way too high and so were the prod values. Noone thinks it worse than your average LN harem we get every season. Hell, its considered to be better that other trainwrecks like VVV or SEED.
Shu was a great protag.
I miss Shoe even though i dropped his show everyweek.
/a/ loved it the first half then the second half kicked in and shit got real fucking real, real fast.
I happen to be an expert on trainwrecks.
Morning /a/ is awful as usual, I see.
It's just OP samefagging.
EVOL was already out of rails. Mugen punch is an example of this.
>implying they didn't run out of track exactly here and enter space
Guilty dropped is so bad it's good.
I enjoyed it. As one of the first shows I watched pretty much all of the cliches were lost on me.
It gets hate on /a/ because it was hyped to shit only to turn out to be a pretty standard affair.
That said, the animation, character designs, and soundtrack are all beautiful. The plot is messy and there are some things left unexplained, but it's a bit 50/50 as to whether those detract from the over all.
I've tried to rewatch it since but always get distracted and never make it. I'll try again in a few months probably.
OK I am wrong. I just didnt say EVOL was a trainwreck, because I enjoyed it immensely.
Bash it all you like, but this is probably one of the most memorable* shows since Code Geass.
*does not necessarily imply the show is good, but it does imply it has enough merit to be... well... memorable
The board has changed since then. The feminist shit going on in video games has made /v/ emigrate here along with JoJo and pseudo-GITS(PP) and there has been more separatism on /a/ since. I really doubt well get something elavate to the memorable status as GC. Valvrave definately didnt achieve such status.
Inori is alive in the crystal world according to EGOIST song lyrics
Is it now? I didn't pay much attention to the songs. Might give the lyrics a read through.
Somehow they need to keep her alive for EGOIST money and potential sequels/spin-offs
GC sold only because Inori.
It's awful, I feel sorry for people who had to watch it alone, I don't know if I could watch it by myself, At least the funny /a/ threads kept me watching it.
It was just awful the story was stupid and Shu was a dumb character, The only plus was delicious Tsugumi.
Considering the crap shows you watch(and I) and post in threads about, I dont think your opinion is serious.
Nah, most people thought that the first half was just generic and boring till the apocalypse happen. Half two was full trainwreck.
But most of the hate just comes from false expectations.
>expecting anything deep from Yoshino and Okouchi
Guilty Crown gets way too much hate.
It's only real problems were a few loose ends that werent tied up.
The segway part broke me.
I mean, you're off saving the world and you're riding a segway?
But he was at school.
>>expecting anything deep from Yoshino and Okouchi
Not necessarily deep, but Okouchi has done better stuff. Then again, GC was mostly Yoshino so...
