Am i the only one who gets really nervous when i hear the crossroad warning noise? I feel like someone is going to die every-time. I can't remember what instilled this fear.

I get more nervous when they do those weird shots that make the streets look like completely vertical cliff faces.

>Hear the warning noise
>expect someone to be hit by train
>train arrives
>overwhelming sound of train passing
>people just stand there waiting

Every time.
>>
Evangelion had a lot of hell train scenes, Even Rebuild had some, minus 3.0.
>>

Thats EXACTLY what i mean.

Why do they even do this?
To add drama or some shit?
I like how they used the train passing as a metaphor for letting go in 5cm/s, though.
Still, I always get that death vibe...

/a/ always portrayed this movie as being kind of average, but I just watched it and I really liked it.
I can't put my finger on it, but it just had that spark, I don't know.
Maybe it was the MC.

do you not have trains where you live? it's a very effective way of conveying the feeling of standing at a station
>>
>>102003518
When I was in Japan, in Osaka you can hear the railway crossings really loud on a train and they have the doppler effect which causes it to sound different when you're approaching from when you're moving away from it. It sounded exactly like the train scenes in Evangelion and always caused flashbacks to those scenes.

A similar thing happened after watching Higurashi, whenever I'd see an establishment shot of a typical summer scenery with the cicadas chirping in my cartoons I'd always think back to Higurashi.
