Should I watch Seirei no Moribito and Oh! Edo Rocket, /a/? At episode 3 of both I just find them ridiculously uninspired...
I've seen and enjoyed every other "LOL CIRNO'S UNIVERSAL SCALE" approved 2007 shows, by the way.
Oh! Edo Rocket is excellent, despite the lackluster ending. You won't miss much if you stop at 23.
do it faggot

His ego is great enough.
Why is it "excellent"? Details, please.
It's actually funny, unlike most other anime comedies. The characters are unique and the story is exellect. The plot feel right when it's moving along with the main arc or when they decide to take an episode off and turn half the characters into cats. The music is fantastic, the art is great.
And for all you GL fags, the script writer of GL wrote Oh! Edo Rocket, the play, before he wrote GL. He also wrote one of the final eps of Edo Rocket.
But the direction feels uninspired and extremely awkward...
I guess he used up all his talent on Edo Rocket then.
How are the characters unique? How is the story excellent? That's some extremely generic praise you've got there.
SOMEONE IS CALLING FOR A COPYPASTA
Except for the fact that writing-wise, Gurren-Lagann is top of the genre.
Watch Heroic Age, one of the best of 2007
It's not even in the top 10.
The top 10 including what? Seirei no Moribito?
You list, I dont know how more than 2-3 could be better than heroic age.
I have nothing to say except that Champloo's Francis Xavier episode was a hilarious take on Christianity and foreigners, surpassed perhaps only by the baseball one or the gay Dutchman.
A man who can open up any lock, even the one to your heart. Who also has a lot of internal self doubt over the use of his powers.
A carpenter whose face is made up of his gigantic smile.
A androgynous scale maker who no one ever notices, not even his mother who he lives with, and spends half the show as a pigeon.
A girl who is really a dog and falls in love with her former master.
A retired property owner who has hordes of women following him and has a hobby of turning people into animals for errands.
The story is one of the closest stories you're gonna get to a modern day period piece of a Frank Capra heartwarming story.
Ukkari no Penelope
Darker than Black
Towards the Terra
Seirei no Moribito
GL counterargument GET?
Those characters barely sound unique, they sound gimmicky.
True, epicness with galactic-scale battle.
Also, Toward the Terra (or Terra e...) is a great sci-fi show.
>I've seen and enjoyed every other "LOL CIRNO'S UNIVERSAL SCALE" approved 2007 shows, by the way.
Cancer killing /a/
Don't forget the terrible visual design.
Cirno did not invent deconstruction. Its a form of critical analysis, you fucking idiot.
You are the cancer.
>Should I watch Seirei no Moribito...
>and Oh! Edo Rocket...
Naruto is a ninja that wears orange. SO FUCKING ORIGINAL!
So much fail in your message...
Ginjiro was awesome, even though he was kind of a bad fighter. He had much better chemistry with O-Sora than that loudmouth idiot firework maker.
A gimmick is just somethnig used to bring attention to something (bed definition, two somethings). It's not a bad thing, just watch the dang show.
I'm not saying they're all perfect shows, they're just superior to Heroic Age... which an entretaining show aired in an extremely strong year.
Tell me when its finished
ITT pretentious GLfags.
Get back to bad Cirno.
Denno Coil: no? I hope you're trolling.
BUT YOU ENJOY INFINITE RYVIUS AND CALL IT A MASTERPIECE! HOW CAN WE TRUST YOUR OPINION!?
is dat sum Against A Dark Background?!
Beyond animation, I never saw the appeal. It may have to do with the fact I am not a dog lover, in any respect.
Also, characters were meh.
Ryvius isn't a masterpiece, it's just my favourite anime. I put that one first mainly for sentimental reasons.
POINT REMAINS. HOW CAN SOMEONE LOVE RYVIUS THAT MUCH? IT'S THE EPITOME OF SUNRISE'S CHEAP WRITING!
I'd say if he knows the difference between personal taste and inherent quality, that's all the reason to trust him more. He has a good head on his shoulders.
>>Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
>>Darker than Black
>>Seirei no Moribito
>>Towards the Terra
Wow, tripfags arguing amongst themselves.
Guess you just have to GTFO and go on your own forum now.
>SAYONARA SAD SENSEI
You're certainly entitled to your opinion but I thought it was the most creative show of 07 which excellent animation, a great setting, well-written script and a good blend of humor mixed with some more serious themes.
Only thing I thought could have been improved was the pacing in later episodes.
Ryvius does have it's fair share of Sunrise writing, forced kisses, angry brother, giant robot, but the way the many different characters interact, I loved. I'm also a sucker for politics stuff, so all the power games and the fighting over how people should lead appealed to me. I also loved the escalation to the climax, and how simple events mean more than more grandiose actions.
If I was making a list of Great Technical Achievements in Anime, Ryvius would be close. If I was making a list of The Greatest Anime Ever, Ryvius wouldn't be on that list. If I was making a list of Personal Favourites, it'd definitely be on that list.
BUT RYVIUS POLITICS WERE CHEAP AND OVERSIMPLIFIED!
I LIKED THE ANIMATION ON EPISODE 11, THOUGH.
Seirei no Moribito has a slow start but then its gets good between epi5-10 onwards or whenever the.... uh nvm spoilers
Overall, yeah, but they get better when you start looknig at each of the individual character's motivations.
And the animation sucked. It was on the tail end of 90's anime styles and didn't make any attempt at useing the new cutting egde computer styles that were out. They used techniques from '93 and tryed as hard as they could to make it not look like shit, they failed partially. There's way too many still shots and they also do that thnig where they blurred out two corners to make it seem dark without having to draw darkness.
WATCH EPISODE 11 AGAIN, IT'S ACTUALLY PRETTY COOL.
Party ep? Nah I'm good.
REALLY? THEN I GOT IT WRONG. I WAS TALKING ABOUT THEIR FIRST MECHA FIGHT.
I too hope you are trolling, Seirei no Moribito shit end? For me anyway it was probably one of the most fulfilling series of its genre.
It was predictable to the point where I knew what was going to happen at the end from the 4-5th episode. Also, it didnt quite expand on many elements in the plot which were interesting and pulled an epilogue end, the last lines of dialogue were not interesting at all.
