So, this is a little late, but this ended a few weeks ago. Did anyone else know or read the ending?

What did you think? Without spoiling anything, I feel the ending would be pretty week if it was any other Manga, but it works here.

I havent gotten around to reading the ending yet. The appeal of the manga for me was how believable and genuine Punpun's life seemed (aside from being obsessed with some girl he met when he was like 5 for x years) . It lost that feeling for me when the 'hurr I'm a murderer for killing in self defence' arc started

I feel like his reaction to that was believable. Here's a completly self absorbed character that basically believes everything revolves around him, so of course he's going to over react and think he's this super monster and the worst person in the world, because in his world, that was the worst thing he's ever done. He lacks perspective. They wrap up that arc in a pretty well anyways, so I don't mind it too much.

japanese people are like that though

same thing with the I am a Hero thing of "when the zombie apocalypse is over we'll go for to jail for trespassing and break ins"

It's not so much that he thought he was a murderer that bothers me about the arc. More just that it felt out of place and unreachable for what had until then been a normal, albeit depressing life. Though that's probably the point I suppose.
