Does this look like the face of mercy?
looks like the face of someone so mad they age 30 years
It's hard to take someone with huge shiny anime girl eyes seriously when they are trying to look angry.
fuck you madhouse i want my cute shota back
Is this better?
do you even watched the ep
The whole episode was just Gon being mad as fuck that he can't fist that pussy yet, and I loved every second of it.
Never before has an episode where almost fucking nothing happens, possibly been one of the best episodes of an entire series.
I found it quite unsettling that Gon got so mad. Considering how he usually always is.
Is it me or did Pitou's words make it seem as if he actually liked the kings new perspective on life? Like it would be incredible easy to ditch the girl, kill the two boys and blame them for her death.
>how he usually always is
There have been plenty of hints throughout the show that Gon is fucking insane.
>Lie to your king
Nigga do you even LOYALTY
Yeah of course. I mean a 12 year old being perfectly fine with people dying in that hunter exam is a pretty clear sign.
I can't imagine how frustrated Gon must have been. I mean fucking really.
He kind of knew he was going into a potential deathmatch.
Half of those people were trying to kill him.
And then he had Hisoka to worry about.
I don't think he even had the time to worry about anyone else during that.
I hope Leorio and Kurapika gets their own arc. I miss them.
Poor Killua ;_;
I can only imagine how bad it would feel to see your normally happy go lucky friend literally going apeshit out of grief/guilt and a metric fuckton of rage
On the surface he is an innocent boy. But really he is a hopeless battle junkie. He'd be a violent brute if he drank alcohol or a delinquent who would pick fights with bystanders if he had no one to unleash his aggressions on.
>Narrator X Narrator
Also a wifebeater.
Why does he care so much about Kite anyways? He knew him for several weeks at most, so why he so mad when he's seen numerous others die?
Is this some kind of Dragonball Z-like anime?
I want them to hook back up with Killua and Gon for the few remaining arcs..
Because he was Gings student and saved Gons life when he was younger.
Actuallly, he met Kaito when he was a kid. That's how the first anime began.
It's an anime. So yeah, it is dragonball-z-like if that's what you mean. Like all other anime.
And Gon felt he was responsible for what happened to Kite.
You're one of those “Rossiu was right!“ fags, aren't you? Stop hating on Gon.
Though I didn't really feel a strong connection between him and Kite, so almost feels like he's getting mad for no reason. I guess that's just a problem with the story telling though.
animeonly fag detected.
Nigga. Gon is fucking violent and is always itching for a good fight.
pretty much how i felt as well. when i read the manga for this part i thought it was going to be underwhelming but mad house did a fantastic job at making an episode where nothing happened turned into one of the best eps of the series thus far.
>Stop hating on Gon
Where in his post does he even imply that he hates him?
Sometimes I wonder how powerful Uvogin would be if Kurapika didn't outwit him.
I'm just saying due to Pitou's words, it would be easy enough to tell Gon that even if he did kill the intruders if he left her for dead the King would kill him anyways. Pitou's made it seem as if he actually cared how this would change his behavior.
In brute strength he's probably as strong as Youpi or the Royal guards, though he's not smart or cautious so he fails in any other stats I imagine.
I think this is the most important element. Gon is OCD about shit going the way he wants - this sort of scenario is unfathomable for him.
Well we are running out of source material.
So I wouldn't mind a filler arc featuring Leorio or some of the characters who passed the same Hunter exam
I think the chart is rubbish, why the hell are Gon and Killua on the same level as Kite and above Shoot and Knuckle?
Can someone explain why Killua has been so strange in this arc? Is it because of Biscuit telling him that he must leave Gon's side if he can't been shoot?
At this point, I am expecting Togashi to come out and say he is cancling the Manga and letting the anime team finish his work.
Honestly I think it would be for the best, as long as Togashi still writes it.
Just let Togashi take his sweet time, the series should be over in 1-3 years.
He got over that long ago. Killua got morbidly depressed since Gon is going insane and that Gon considers Killua indifferent to Kite.
He has battered wife syndrome. His husband is obsessed with another woman and mostly comes home to abuse him but he can't leave.
If togashi cancels this work with so many loose ends then I am gonna rage.
Jesus Hisoka is going to cream his pants when he sees Gon now.
Longest Hiatus yet, start of a new arc, anime team is catching up. Yeah I don't think we will ever see a new chapter.
I would rather just have some filler arcs despite the fact I usually can't stand them
It might be interesting if they waste time until the manga builds up a few arcs by showing the pasts of some random side characters, for example the past of someone like Tonpa
But I just want to want it to continue forever
I would not mind some canon filler. Like maybe some of Leorios hijinks at medical school.
the scribbles don't really help or hurt the interpretation of things. if anything, the anime would help
>waste time until the manga builds up a few arcs
I don't think they want to make 200 episodes of filler
This was the episode I've been waiting for.
Fucking glorious. Gon was throwing a world class temper tantrum and every second was worth it. The hot and cold of him going from disbelief to nearly fucking nuking Pitou from orbit were wonderful.
I personally want to know more about what Hanzo did after the Hunter Exam
Maybe he died pitifully somewhere like Pokkle did. Poor guy.
For all of Gon's bitching he was right, Pitou was lying the whole time.
kite is like the shanks of hunter x hunter (inb4 bashing me for liking wan piss). if you read tha manga, it's kite who convinces gon to become a hunter, not ging. for gon, fighting neferpitou is like fighting blackbeard when he kills shanks (that hasnt happened, but im 90% sure it will)
hiatus* should be over in 1-3 years.
they completely wasted pokkle as a character. imagine if they found him in NGL or something, and he got to help them fight the royal guards.
The story needed to have the bugs learn Nen from somewhere. And Pokkle had the role of being that dispensible side character nobody gave a shit about. It also served a purpose to show how wicked Pitou is.
God I love all these threads.
No, Gon is a sociopath. Killua killed for a living. Some innocent some not. Gon's reaction? "Haha that's nice, you're my friend now."
I must admit /a/ has some pitiful trolls / tripfags.
Even the retarded shit on /pol/ is better than this.
>No, Gon is a sociopath.
That would mean that he could not understand other peoples feelings. Which is clearly false.
I"m pretty sure Killua is not going to be in the next arc. Too busy babysitting his trap brother.
Something upsetting you anon?
It's like you don't even understand the psychological torment Gon is going through here. These were the most dramatic moments for Gon since first seeing Kite after Knuckles and Shoot had rescued him. This episode was great character exploration. "Nothing happened" my ass.
>Zushi lower than Komugi.
You do realize I was praising the episode but stating that nothing much really happened in it.
All it REALLY was was a small conversation.
However it was a fucking amazing small conversation.
Mother fucker have you even been watching the series? There are at least 5 or 6 moments that shows Gon is sociopathic as fuck. Its very subtle.
>Bisky stronger than Chrollo
I would love to see muscle Bisky smack the shit out of Chrollo.
I want to fuck Gon's voice actor. She did a really good job this episode and made me rock-hard.
Honestly, I can't think of any characters I wouldn't mind seeing more of. I'm all for HxH filler.
He visits Gon in the hospital, and I'm pretty sure he shows up for voting.
I often forget he has a woman voicing him since its less obvious than the old series. Too bad the next break down is weeks away.
Depends on the type of mercy. Mercy killing is one that fits the bill
>Blackbeard killing Shanks.
I bet you also think Blackbeard will be the last villain. Filthy commoner.
Pitou is so sexy you guys.
SO FUCKING SEXY
She said that Gon is her hardest role too. But she really nailed it this episode. I really hope she gets more job offers after this showcase of skill.
Serious Gon is no joke.
Pic related, it's scared the shit and piss out of me and gave my grandma a heart attack.
Hopefully there's some decent rage art by now. Yet still no new, and good, doujins.
200 episodes of Mito minding the house it is then.
Cat emperor fulfills all my needs.
Nigga reread/watch the series again. Gon cares for his fellow humans and graps their feelings very well. He is just childish about it when he bursts out. That is not sociopathy.
>Hanzo filler arc would be him having a race against Killua's dad or brother to find the Hermit Scroll
There are so many things they can go off of and be decent.
>"No it's ok. I don't need to listen to it. Mito-san is my Mother anyway."
Am I misremembering or have they not shown Killua's Godspeed form yet?
That was really heartwarming, and he was right too, what use would it have confusing yourself about some skank Gin fucked if you have delicious motherly Mito-san who loves you?
Before they invaded, he was supposed to say something that revealed he had a new ability up his sleeve for the battle.
The anime cut it and changed the line. I guess it will be more surprising to anime-only-fags this way?
Pretty sure that's not until he fights Youpi. And everyone else needs to get a crack at him before first.
Up to this point in time the RG and the King had no reason to concern themselves with debating challengers. And as loyal as Pitou is to the king, it's not surprising that he adopted the king's opinion about Komugi so quickly. In Pitou's mind, it's only right that everyone should care about saving this girl as much as the king does. How could the king be wrong? After all, he's the king.
YOU CAN SMILE AGAIN
Gon has a health dose of skull crushing to dish out before he can relax.
A kid needs to properly vent after all.
Pitou was focused on pleasing Gon no matter what.
>Hanzo vs Silva
I'd pay to see that If it were done by Togashi. The most entertaining things to watch are matches that aren't fights. Like dodgeball. In an actual fight, Hisoka vs Razor would be bloody and over a bit too quickly. Not even the narrator could stretch it out.
wun u a pitou fully knowning he's male
Especially if there is lots on the Zoldyck family and the Phantom Troupe
For a shounen, I love how non-standard it is. For example I always thought that the Yorknew auction arc would end up in a typical battle tournament fashion but then it just surprised me.
It is almost like Togashi is playing Pen and paper RPGs and then just making the manga about that.
And melody and her battle for those devil tunes. There are so many stories waiting to happen.
What loose ends? Kurapika gets his clan's eyes back. Gon finds his dad, and Killua and Gon eventually make up. Leorio's medical research is steadily getting better, so he's content with where he's at/going. The dark continent hasn't been foreshadowed enough to make it need a whole arc to itself.
>fully knowing he's male
that only makes it better
>Not even the narrator could stretch it out
Underestimating the narrator, do you even read or watch HxH
Will Gon ever get a real fight? I'm guessing no.
>"loses" basically every fight early on
>would have lost to Razor in dodgeball but passed out, Hisoka won the full victory
>only beats Genthru because of a well thought out plan by Bisky, wins a small moral victory before that which cost him a hand
>almost gets killed by some random soldier ant, Kite has to save him
>gives up most of his life energy to artificially reach his "full potential" in Gon-san to utterly crush Pitou
I loved that scene.
HxH is indeed fantastic because it is non-conventional. For much of the Manga it's basically Gon and Killua trying to survive vs people far stronger than them. (Hunter exa,Yorknew, Greed island)
I think people forget just how many times Gon has lost.
I bet his hair is silky soft.
It's too bad Togashi just doesn't hand over all his rejected "what if" scenarios and just said "Yeah whatever, animate it." I want more Troupe and side character action.
The Chairman's "son" is enough of a hook to continue the story.
He's gotten real fights, he just gets his ass kicked.
Not to mention the entire dark continent thing. Which is interesting in and of itself.
No, I realized it. But you phrased it as though if several things weren't happening at once, then not much happened at all. I'd hoped my explanation would have shown you why that wasn't the case. This was a huge mixture of emotions for Gon. Clearly that is a big thing. The episode had a lot of substance, in that it explored Gon's character well. "Nothing happened" is certainly not the way to describe this episode.
They could've just made the Phantom Troupe the true protagonists.
kon is right and killua knows it, he just dont care about kite
Isn't that what the movies are?
If I want to watch this, should I start with the 1999
adaptation or just start from 2011?
Phantom troupe getting revenge for Uvo/Paku
>Its very subtle.
Look at this anon try to make his idiocy sound clever. You really have no idea what sociopathic behavior is.
Again no. What we have is basically a relatively short series of events which barely move the plot.
However it's a perfect execution of those events.
Once again. Almost nothing happened, but it didn't matter because it was done perfectly
2011 is far, far, faaar superior.
2011. It's almost the same story and it looks much better.
Let me know if I'm missing something. Here's all the fights I could think of off the top of my head and how they turned out.
Hisoka round 1:Hisoka inspects his new plaything and brushes him off.
Round 2: Hisoka punches said plaything and brushes him off again.
Round 3: Gon did good, but Hisoka forced himself not to curbstomp then rape Gon then and there.
Cripple Round 1: Gon tried, but got smacked around for being too reckless and not listening.
Round 2: Gon did good and managed to win.
Other cripple: Same as above.
Nobunaga: Gon ran away.
Bomber: Gon got smacked around for being too reckless and not listening but won in the end. Though he looked more like the loser.
Too many ants to remember. But Pitou was defiantly a win.
Captcha: myingsy surgeon
Togashi works hard to make sure Gon isn't OP, and that there is a persistent sense of danger and tension in the series. Gon's loses are probably one of the key reasons why HxH hasn't gone the way of the Big 3.
When Pitou is a futanari?
So /a/, what's your favourite ED?
Alright, thanks a lot guys.
I'd watch that
>Same OP for 100+ episodes
What the fuck. Give me something new.
Pitou a best.
Gotta love how the Phantom troupe just did not give a fuck about Pakus death and the memories she gave them.
You don't want to smile again?
They did in some way, but they're not the kind of people who like to wallow in their sorrow.
They even cut Gon some slack at the auction because of paku's memories.
I completely agree despite the English being god awful.
I still don't skip that OP I love it so much
This is so freaking true. There has to be a sense of danger, character mortality and "fairness" (Regarding inevitable power level bullshit)
One piece doesn't suffer from the above nearly as bad as Naruto or Bleach. But it's got an entire different tone so you can't really compare.
If anything, HxH is basically light Sienen in tone.
But that terrible autotune and screaming.
>Togashi works hard to make sure Gon isn't OP
One of the greatest things about HxH is that most of the battles are about logic and not just screaming and powerups. This allows even the seemingly weakest Nen user to have a fighting chance.
And all characters have actual character flaws that comes into play.
So, I'm not the only one who thought of this? I think at some point Gon would have ended up as allies with the Troupe.
If you don't love "Departure"YOU CAN GO AWAY
It really hasn't been hyped that much. Not a reason to hold Togashi's nose to the grindstone for more chapters.
That's not that interesting. When the Phantom Troupe was relevant in the plot, it was Kurapika who the focus was on mostly. PT was just doing their usual thing, but it was Kurapika that was gearing up for something that he had never dealt with before. All the intrigue was on him. Most feel that the two members had it coming. That, and the members' relationships with each other hadn't really been greatly explored enough to convince us of any kind of genuine sense of revenge they must feel. There's not much to sympathize with.
He also seems to work really hard to give clever solutions to enemies/conflicts and probably felt like he failed when he had Gon go full nentard only to retcon the repercussions with a wish.
Are there any interviews that talk about his feelings toward the arc?
Explain. Your picture is nonsense.
I see where you and I disagree now. You're a big fan of plot, I can tell. While I like plot, I like even more exploration of character, or character studies. So, in regards to character exploration, this episode did have a lot happen. If you would have first stated that nothing happened much in the way of plot, then I would have had to agree.
Well we basically agree then. Plot wise jack shit. Character development wise? A great display of character conflict from an already heavily enraged protagonist going through some massive cognitive dissonance because of the situation he suddenly finds himself in.
Do they have any plans for what they're going to do when they catch up to the manga?
Generally the solution is pic related.
You know the answer. Dear.
If it’s not ED 2 it’s wrong
I'll explain to clarify then. Killua and Nobunaga, both ready to kill anyone or anything but hold off on killing said thing because of reasons. I find their reasoning similar. Feitan, an absolute sociopath and sadist freak refutes Nobu basically saying "And?" among other things. Just read it. Gon, not as crazy but can be just as violent, refutes Killua's similar arguments with "And?" among other things his and Feitan/Phink's dialog share.
Unless this only makes sense to me since I tend to look at tiny details as much as possible.
There is a clear difference between their "And?" and comparing them does not feel fair to me. One is simply indifferent and the other is just blind justified rage.
With any luck the entire IP has been handed off to madhouse and they'll continue the story on their own.
Madhouse has done an excellent job on this series. Hats off to them. I am sure that they love the series.
I love it whenever Hisoka is on the screen. Such a clever bastard.
Oh good a HxH thread. Time for those gifs.
I remember quite a few other scenes where Gon acts like a sociopath as well. These are from what I can remember/sticks out.
>Gon against the Bomber guy
>Gon in the dodgeball tournament
>Towards the beginning of the Hunter Exam with the maze
Would love to screencap those moments to prove my point but I would have to go through the whole series again. Those moments where you do see them are very very short that would last 5 seconds at most. It was those moments where it took me by complete surprise like "holy shit where did this come from?"
I wouldn't call it that. Feitan and Phinks both care about the Spider which extends to Paku. After she died, they were still pissed at Kurapika and probably would still be even if Chrollo was safe with them. My theory/point is that I think small things like this would have eventually led up to Gon joining forces with them. They made him angry, but I don't think he's ever said he hated them.
The animation was amazing.
>threw a tantrum
i just want to see kalluto again
Hey Gon calm the fuck down.
Ant-arc Gon is quite possibly the most mad character to ever exist
Whose arm do we have to twist to get more shounen series animated by studios that are actually good?
Pfft that looks more hilarious than arousing.
Now that's arousing.
I get what you mean. And unfortunately we don't have the Bleach fanbase that's willing to compile every single page of foreshadowing and small mentions that lead up to Kubo moments.
>Gon against the Bomber guy
>Gon in the dodgeball tournament
That is not sociopathy. Gon just wants to win no matter what.
Assuming that we could get Togashi to go a reasonable amount of time without a hiatus, what would a collaboration between Togashi and Kubo be like?
HxH+Kubo moments sounds mind blowing
Shonens usually have a fantastically animated episode here and there with important scenes, but Madhouse has a lot of licenses and producers.
>still no good Shizuku doujins
Why must there be this suffering?
poffu thinks you are a faggot
Even if it involves putting his friend through torture and letting everyone around him nearly die. Greatest hero.
>that single tattoo
That just makes it even cuter.
>Complete lack of personal saftey and saftey of others to the levels of Hisoka
What happened in the Bomberman fight highly resembles the fight Hisoka had with that guy in the fighting tournament who cut his arms off.
I always hear ShaiaPouf as Showerpuff.
This, madhouse delivered
This makes me even more hype fot the netero v meruem fight
This one has that sexy violent expression you liked.
>Even if it involves putting his friend through torture and letting everyone around him nearly die
That has never happened.
What's the best way to watch HxH? In a thread a while back someone said something about watching part of the old anime and then the new one.
Is that right?
>Shonens usually have a fantastically animated episode here and there with important scenes, but Madhouse has a lot of licenses and producers.
Even the best animated episodes of bleach are blown out of the water by the average HxH ep, let alone eps like the last.
Naruto has 98% of its budget blown on its OPs.
anime fucked it
in the manga, Gon was a kid (even more) when he entered by mistake in the territory of a dangerous beast, that beast almost killed him, but kaito showed and saved him, but also called him a fucking useless shit, and talk about what being a hunter is
that meeting and moment is what made Gon want to become a Hunter and find his dad
Not this shittu again.
Tired as fuck but you catch my drift.
Did you forget the part where Gon always acknowledges the risk to his friends and the danger to his enemies, then goes as far as blowing off both his hands to win?
For the sake of consistency, especially with characterization, just blow through the entire madhouse series as is. Go BACK to watch the yorkshin arc after you're already caught up for the sake of comparison.
>Even the best animated episodes of bleach are blown out of the water by the average HxH ep
I wouldnt go so far to say that, HxH does a great job when its needed though.
goddamn this was just a great episode
>I never asked for this.jpg
At the very least, Madhouse is far more consistent with the art through the series. With Bleach it’s blindingly obvious whenever there’s a production team shift.
>that shaking shivering shoulders
Its the little things but jesus its like you can actually hear him when watching that gif.
>Killua's depressing slouch then taking a deep breath, raising his chin and swallowing his tears after Gon bitched him out.
very true, bleach seems to pull themselves together during the big bad bossfights though
whereas I would say that Hisoka vs Gon and this latest Gon rage episode were the best animated so far.
Gon is mad like fuck, choose 5 words to calm the retard down.
I've always liked Bleach's art. The sharp and bold lines, when in the hands of a good team, looks great. Can't wait to see pic related animated.
Shit I should go gif that, I liked that moment too. Be right back.
Kite can be saved.
THINK OF THE CHILDREN
Ok, you can kill the bitch.
calm down you faggot fuck
kill that murdering ant faggot
every little thing be alright
You can fuck Killua's ass.
Hey. Kite still needs help.
Here. Dis be some good animation because they draw the puff of his chest as he intakes that breath.
After the comparison of Pitou to a mother cat the lyrics for Hyouri Ittai really come full circle. Knowing your enemy has feelings as well and that there are two sided
>so mad I vectored myself out.png
Youre a gentleman. Like I said, its the little things that can make a worldly difference that most dont notice,
"Kite would say to wait."
If HxH is really as unconventional and "realistic" as people say, then how come it does the whole
>"you can't use that technique, it'll have permanent consequences!"
>one short arc later
>wow, zero consequences!
It was fucking bullshit.
Negative. "Who the fuck do you think you are, speaking for kite. You didn't even know him you cock guzzling cherry boy"
I want to protect this smile.
Name concrete examples.
You're joking, right?
This anon has a point. If it doesn't involve him getting what he wants (his way), then chances are it wont work.
You clearly are as you cannot do so.
That's a cute little girl.
I'm not even the same anon and he's clearly talking about Gon-san and his recovery. The arc was a lot of fun, though, despite it being a really lazy way out of the problem.
I love that Madhouse loves him. 99 was all about Kurapika and Leorio being a married couple. This time Killua's the abused waifu.
I've always wondered.
How does one pronounce "Hunter x Hunter"?
Hunter Ecks Hunter?
Hunter and Hunter?
Hunter Cross Hunter?
ding ding ding
Hunter times hunter.
On top of that, Kite would choose to kill pitou right there. The risk vs reward is too skewed, as he wasn't even sure if he was going to win the fight in the first place. So the best option is to minimize damage and take the freebie by ending her on the spot.
Remember Chrollo and Hisoka? Yeah me neither.
I'm very much glad for that too, Killua's my favorite.
Citing a Hunter basic which Kite adhered to should be effective; he'll either "act like a Hunter", or be unable to face Kite. Gon might be willing to toss out his Hunter badge, but he wouldn't want to disappoint Kite.
What went wrong?
>Class in 7 hours
>Still in this thread
And the thread isn't even close to 404ing. Not sure if happy or distressed.
4 fucking months.
Depends on the viewer. I know someone who actually hated 99 and dropped the series because of it. I, honestly, prefer it. It's re-watchable and gotta love that nostalgic animation/York New OST.
Would you watch a SoL about the phantom troupe living together doing thief things.
>Franklin gets sick with a flu and the only one to take care of him is shizuku who tries to suck the disease out of him with wacky repercussions
>Machi decides to get her medical license and has to learn to play it cool and not show off her nen abilities in a professional environment
>Phinks gets adopted into a gang of slav nen users and learns the secret of the nensquatting
>Kortopi is walking down the street when a christmas cake invites him to /ss/ not knowing what it means with hilarious consequences
>Feitan has to prove his worth at a nen-user gym despite being a manlet
>Bonolenov accidently is mistaken for a cosplayer and is forced into a group of other cosplayers going to a convention
>Shalnark loses his nen controller and spends the day looking for it only to find it underneath the couch
>Nobunaga goes out to recruit new shotas in the phantom troupe and gets into a competition with other crime syndicates to see who can recruit more of them
>Chrollo lucifer decides to get a job in the mean time at Wgronalds and has to fight off all his previous opponents who come looking for him while taking orders and satisfying the customer
>Occasionally Kurapika shows up trying to find them but they always miss each other by a few seconds, never once meeting.
>kalluto training to be the very best despite his height and being mistaken for a girl
The last episode is just all of them getting home after each having their own episode being exhausted and cracking open some beers and chilling out before Hisoka comes to get his tea set that he left behind and shenanigans ensue.
after the bomber fight gon got a lot more fucked up
I'm mad that I kind of want this.
What went wrong?
I'd watch anything about the Troupe. But, yes. Especially Machi dealing with medical students and a tick constantly on her forehead due to someone mistaking a single tissue for X when she could fix it with Y. Plus I bet Chrollo used his sex appeal for all kinds of things. No doubt he's got a whole trail of broken hearts behind him.
Leorio so useless.
>Leorio punches Ging
>Ging let him do it to use him
That wasn't right and Togashi knows it. I want Leorio to do something cool again. My favorite scene of him was in the hotel and he gave Gon and Killua those instructions.
He punched Ging.
>tfw I thought his Nen would be Kenshiro like due to his massive interest in becoming a doctor and studying anatomy
>you will never watch Leorio pull a Kenshiro and blowing someone's head up with a single touch
Is Togashi stalling on the Ging/Gon continuation because fatherhood is not what he expected?
Now that he has kids he probably lost all motivation to write Ging as he intended.
Will I ever see her again?
Both are probably piss weak.
worst girl in the series
I'd sooner take the two traps and macho bisky over her
We'll never see them again
>no more freaky indigenous mummy with holes
>no more creepy vacuum cleaner girl
>no more based Phinks and Feitan
The Kaito scene when Gon was younger and gets chastised was in the anime you plebs. Did you not fucking watch the series? I cannot believe you when you keep saying the anime missed it out. ADD of the highest order.
Funniest part of the episode right there. Killua got wrecked.
>vacuum cleaner girl
Was in the original anime.
And in 2011 too.
Those who hunt ants
i was referring to the vaccum cleaner
especially when it makes those noises
why is this such a pedophile show
i mean really children fighting grown adults you make me sick sometimes /a/
It's like you don't like Hisoka.
Feitan summons the fucking sun. Get lost.
>you'll never see Pain Packer's other forms
I swear that was line was thrown in just to troll.
Anyone else think Feitan is one of the strongest spiders now? His nen is really OP.
Only because Hisoka was never a spider.
Could Hisoka's bungee gum essentially turn him into spider man?
Hisoka is not strong. He is just godlike at bluffing.
In Hisoka's mind he's the strongest.
>Feitan summons sun
>Ant use dig
Is this a new DBZ movie from Vegetas childhood?
yes. until cell nephew appears.
Hot dead ant
So what is this show about and why should I commit several weeks of watching-time to catching up to the silly number of episodes.
Good thread. See you next week.
No, we will not.
>indigenous mummy with holes
Holy fuck, that was hard to watch.
>CV: Megumi Han
They should have. The Phantom Troupe were easily, EASILY the best part of HxH.
>thread still here
I'm pretty sure that KIllua will be in the next arc since he'll have to get his younger sibling for a purpose.
I know, right. She's amazing.
In GI it showed that they had a makeshift grave for her, they do give a fuck and would kill Kurapika if they could but can't until Chrollo's Nen's removed.
This scene when Gon latches back at Killua, saying he doesn't care for Kite, this was the only thought I had in my mind.
I could feel the feelings Killua had during that moment. That fucking Gon.
I hate to do this, but what's the source? Reverse image search aren't doing much.
Pixiv. Any and almost all good fan art comes from pixiv 98% of the time. the other 2% is half from tumbler and deviantart. But tumblr has noses and signatures while DevArt has a western look.
Thanks, based Pixiv.
but dat thumblr pic
Holy fuck, I knew Gon was voiced by a woman, but I just assumed she was probably older like Luffy's VA. I was not expecting a cute 24 year old to pull that off.
Not even a christmas cake yet.
In the 2011 anime Mito (Gon's Aunt) is voiced by Megumi Han's mom.
Holy shit, this is perfect.
>reverse image search aren't doing much
saucenao.com works 99% of the time for fanart.
Why is she so adorable?
I know they won't show too much when Gon crushes Pitou's skull.
But I hope they use some satisfying sounds. A well saturated and deep crunch would be nice.
I really like when they do stuff like that.
Because gon and killua are stronger then knuckle and shoot? If you're an animeonly person you haven't seen killua's new lightning aura manipulation and gon-san.
They showed Komugi's intestines being prodded, I'm sure we'll see plenty. Before the timeslot change, anything explicit was mainly blood splatters or toned down. Like Killua killing that masked Ant. Her head being twisted out of place was shown but him decapitating her was silhouetted
Will Hisoka be the final boss for Gon and Killua?
He'll die of a Japanese cold all alone and some random by passer will find the body. Gon will find out 2 months later.
>a Japanese cold
The most treacherous of all diseases.
Hisoka is just orgasmic Vegeta. Besides he will be gunning for Gon eventually.
So the top alive being is that old hag
Togashit ressurect and make Hisoka broke Bisky already
>Togashi works hard
>you couldn't protect that smile
I really understand why he got his soul murdered.
>6 episodes until Netero versus Meruem starts.
But Netero is already dead
If only he stayed with us for another couple of months.
>you now realize Kastro was incredibly talented so much that he could materialize a perfect doppleganger despite being a reinforcement user and if he stuck to his nen type he would have been a god-tier nen user
That is the sad thing about him. When you think about it then he was fucking godlike. His nen teacher was pretty shitty.
He picked the wrong fight
>Partison was his nen teacher
He was weak mentally and inexperienced in Nen battles.
he died? I do not remember.
Hisoka stuck a card in his brain, so yeah a little
Would Gon even be able to put a fight against Pitou in his rage fueled state? if she wasn't healing Komugi and all that.
Casually gnawing on your own severed arm.
Hisoka ladies and gentlemen....
Without the giga asspull transformation of doom? No.
I think the plan was for Killua to use Kanmaru to zip Gon around so he could put his fists on Pitou.
Come to think of it, that wouldn't be too bad of a plan.
Imagine what Gon would say to Krillin if they met.
I can see Piccolo telling Gon that he reminds him of Gohan when he was younger.
Even Netero said, that pitou is stronger than him. Sure, his range attack surprised the young cat but it did not hurt her in the slightest. Killua is a shit. Gon is a shit. Gon san is an ... asspull of doom.
>asspull of doom
People keep saying that, but to me it just seems like the natural conclusion of nen = lifeforce. What would tapping into all of your lifeforce at once look like? Probably pretty damn close to that.
>Pitou is stronger than Netero
Pitou has more nen and a stronger body but there is no way he could beat Netero.
Yeah and every shitty 12 years old random boy can develop an ultimate technique out of nowhere, which allows you to use all of your life potential at once. Because he is ANGRY.
>that pitou is stronger than him. Sure, his range attack surprised the young cat but it did not hurt her in the slightest. Killua is a shit. Gon is a shit. Gon san is an ... asspull of doom.
It's not an asspull. Gon sacrificed his life to gain that strength. It abides by the rules of nen. Please read the manga more closely.
>Yeah and every shitty 12 years old random boy
Gon isn't some random shitty 12 year old boy, though. He's a nen prodigy who is the son of one of the top 5 nen-users in the world.
Why are you shitposting.
The protagonist being special is kind of a given in shonen, as is developing ultimate techniques on the spot. Given that his dad is one of the top 5 nen users in the world, (and talent is apparently genetic in manga) it's not too much of a stretch.
>talent is apparently genetic in manga
Talent is partly genetic in real life, too.
Bearing in mind that gon san needed multiple full power jajankens to crush pitous skull, i doubt that netero could harm the cat. Even if he goes all out.
Gon only needed one punch to kill Pitou. Crushing his skull means nothing. And Netero was able to injure the King with Zero.
Didn't Netero inflict some serious damage on Meruem? Are you saying Pitou is stronger than the king?
Netero activated the bomb right when he noticed he wouldn't be able to kill him, which was well after Meruem took one of his arms and legs, if I don't recall incorrectly.
Netero didn't stand a chance, so he wagered it on the bomb, which lucky him, did the trick, since I'm willing to bet if it hadn't poisoned him and killed him, the world would had been doomed to an even stronger Meruem, due to how he consumed most of Poumf and Youpi to recover.
Have you even read the manga? Netero went all out with his zero attack, he put all of his life energy in it. He hardly has inflicted a scratch to meruem. I'm not telling that pitou is stronger that the king, but neteros attack power is shit.
I think there are many loose ends, but not that big (if you ignore DC stuff in the final chapters), but just exposition on characters and what they'd do from then on, the silent chapter calls a few things up, and some things in the clean up ant chapters basically just have wave things along without discussion.
I think I'm just content and disillusioned to really care about full blown closure or anything these days, wake me up in a decade once it's all out.
You know you're bonkers when a bonafide mass murderer says you're fucking insane
Something that bothered me with Hxh is that most of the villains look like generic average joes. Like Sub and Bara.
First-generation Gon Freeccs was voiced by Naruto's seiyuu, FYI. Born 1972. Kind of a Christmas cake but I assume she's already married so yeah.
I thought the same thing about Bomber leader, can't even remember his name. At least he was kind of unique looking, unlike Sub and Bara.
I have never heard that before, but I have a strange feeling there's got to be a tag of it on exhentai with a great deal of porn.
The manga stated that not even the top nen exorcists could even get close to saving gons live because of the massive rebound his nen restriction caused him for a power up lasting a could of minutes.
When you think about the restrictions imposed by others nen abilities, I think "I will die if I dont use this ability only vs [insert]" was the most harsh. Now to put gons situation in perspective he gave his life and body instantly, for only a small amount of time. He bought a one way card to his grave.
Didn't we see the same example when Netero used his Zero Hand, that drained his body and nen to its absolute zero? Very similar situation, except he did not give everything up like gon.
>had been doomed
But anon, the rose is one of the smaller bombs
We actually see him at the election, so he didn't die like a bitch. I'm pretty sure he became OP, but he is kind of irrevelant.
Killua acknowledged Hanzo as stronger than him after the Exam. He may have killed less people but in terms of upbringing they were similar. I'm sure by now he's just as deadly as he was before. We don't know his nen type, but I can only guess his ability will be something from YYH.
>implying Gon is human
>implying he isn't like that guy in yuyu hakusho
>implying gon's mom (some ancestor) won't be some beast-like creature
>implying he isn't like that guy in yuyu hakusho
Yes anon, that one guy. But I can only assume you're talking about Yusuke since he had demon history.
>Gon showing the hiatus card to Yusuke
It's actually funny how subtle Gon's actual physical growth is in HxH.
But back to back you can actually kind of tell a difference.
I like to look out for things that happen more than once or get a bit of extra dialog. Like Wing thinking about Gon's power and Zephile/Meleron thinking about his sanity. You may not pay it mind at first, but when you look back it all makes sense.
>Hurr durr He's a sociopath despite the billion times he actively goes out of his way to help people.
Forced shitposting is still shitposting.
But what did he do exactly?
Create an Enchancer 'power' of 'strong enough to kill all ants, with consequence of my life' or something? We'd never seen such a drastic and barely explained power before. It's always come off as a rage mode power up to me that allowed him to lolHax to being in his mid 30's 'because that's what he needed to win'. And I can't tell if that was meant to have been Gon's plan all along or what.
Anon I think you should look at your post and mine because clearly they don't match up. You need stronger bait to spoil my fun.
>But what did he do exactly?
He became the most powerfull version of Gon that will ever exist (that why the transformation looks like an older version of himself) for a small amount of time at the price of his life.
Not everyone can pull that off because not everyone has the resolve and nen proficiency to do that. But also not everyone has the potential to become that strong even when they're older.
Yeah, he actually looks older.
He used to be such a cutie pie. I never expected this.
>them muscular arms
I rarely see this unless there's an actual age change of like 5+ years.
I have never seen either of them laugh like that, ever.
If you can find a picture of kurapika laughing with his eyes open I will ejaculate.
You got me there. I guess he's just the type who always does the hand cover/eyes closed sort of laugh.
I hope for this
i-if it's you, madhouse (spoiler]anime original arcs[/spoiler:lit]
This exhausted/relieved kurapika laugh is more than enough for me.
