Was there ever a time that you didn't like anime?
For the past two or three years I didn't. Even now I'm only watching two shows. Help me.
This last month.
In middle school when everyone that liked anime wore cat ears and cat tails every day and pretended they were Japanese.
If were talking about non toonami shit.
Yeah i hated it until i grew up and stopped hating something because of a preconception that liking the art style would make me a faggot
There was a time when I vehementally thought to myself "I will never be one of those weeaboo fucking faggots that watch anime that shit is gay as hell"
And then I thought "Well at least I'll never ever ever ever play a visual novel"
Now I'm thinking "There's no way I could ever own a daki, I'll never stoop that low"
/a/, honestly I'm scared
its only recently Ive started to enjoy Lucky Star.
Nice blogging everyone! Good Job!
>Was there ever a time that you didn't like anime?
When Madoka went popular.
Good show, bad fanbase
I've actually always been interested in it and wanted to start watching it despite what the preconception everyone held toward it was. I also had a bit of a positive attitude towards it because I spent a lot of time on the internet and read many different things so from a few things I read, I liked it. Then finally decided to get into it.
You will. Stop being such a massive faggot, keep an open mind and accept your interests.
When the fuck did this ever happen?
Also, yes. When I first strated browsing 4changs 4 years ago I though anime was only for manchildren and faggots.
Now all I do is shitpost on /a/ and watch anime. I'm a manchild and a faggot, so I guess I was right about anime in the first place.
OH GOD HELP, I WANT OFF THIS RIDE
Until 2008 I thought everyone who watched anime was a weeaboo faggot that went around being obnoxious and it was all babby shit like naruto
Then I watched TTGL, Akira, FLCL and Rozen Maiden.
Now I've seen over 250 series, I own 2 dakimakuras, have a shelf full of figures, and do nothing but read about and discuss anime, visual novels, etc.
How the tables have turned
When Naruto became popular I didn't even want to care for anime to distance myself from it. It wasn't until a few years ago actually that I tried it. I guess I watched a couple as a kid but I was never really into anime as a whole.
No. There were a couple of times I was turned off of it because I temporarily snapped from stress, but I don't count that.
>When the fuck did this ever happen?
I think there were kids like that in every middle school. How many and how serious varies though. Chuunibyou is real.
There are those who dont seem aware of their appearance. In community college art class there was a girl who wore cat ears and a tail. Although she may have been a furry now that i think about it.
>When the fuck did this ever happen?
Haven't you heard about Chuuni syndrome?
I'm not that anon but I was one of that faggots at my middle school.
>250 series since 2008
Wow, so slow. I made it to over 850 since then. You're probably choosing your series very carefully.
Before I started about 6 years ago I thought anime was just dumb, perverted shounen crap with no redeeming value.
Then I realized that American TV was basically the same thing and gave anime a shot.
Its been all downhill from there.
Before I started watching it I thought it was a shitty brony tier hobby
>implying it isn't
You're in a place where nearly everyone is a little girl.
No. There was a time I didn't know I liked anime, but even as a little kid, all my real favourites were Japanese.
BotP, Dogtanian, Willy Fogg, Ulysses, Cities of Gold.
90s kid who was born watching Pokemon so nope.
Yeah before I was born.
