Can't... stop... listening...
Seeing how badass Kotomine is in fate/zero
i ask how on earth did Emiya Shirou even stab the bastard in Saber route.
Because Fate was written first.
He just stood there to take it. It was a kid with some knife, no way it would have hurt him.
Because no one survives Angry Manjew
Why doesn't Shirou just kill Shiki?
Because Shirou shrugged off fucking Manjew?
You forgot your frodo image
Kotomine got old.
Well, Ally of Justice vs dubious anti-hero
Shiriou doesn't even die when he's killed.
>Shiriou doesn't even die when he's killed.
>You said an older brother protects his little sister right? Yeah, I’m the older sister, so I must protect my little brother.
The thumbnail makes Shirou look furry.
Fucking hell man, why did Ilya have to die in both UBW and HF? That's not cool man, not cool at all.
She deserved better.
Even in Fate she only has a year left. I'd say that HF is her best ending, since she came to terms with everything.
At-least it gave me motivation to want to read Gil getting his ass kicked again.
Dammit. It sucks because I know it's true. I suppose I should be happy she got to meet and have Shirou become her brother for a while.
Sucks too, because Gil hadn't done anything to really piss me off until that point. Son of a bitch
HF true/good ends should have been switched.
It's true/normal. There is no designated good end.
Makes more sense to me calling them good given the number of "bad" ends present in all routes. Or do you call them abnormal?
Bad is not the same thing as normal. In the normal ending, Shirou dies but the world is saved, so it's not a bad ending, just bittersweet.
You're missing my point. If there are 20+ bad ends in a route, it makes sense to call a non-bad end a "good end" with the canon ending being the true.
Semantics aside I still felt HF true end was the better end for me
Fuck now I've gone and done it with the typo.
Good end is if everything is fucking great, true end is considered the most fitting end (by Nasu), normal end is if things just end conclusively. and bad end is if things don't end conclusively.
So any news about the Ufotable project? I've been out of the loop for a while.
We know it's a thing. And it's about F/SN.
All we really know is that Nasu is making sure ufotable doesn't fuck things up, along with providing them with some new content. Also, it's coming out Fall 2014.
Good is not "not bad".
The only real good ending is the one where Saber stays and has threesomes every night with Rin and Shirou.
I wonder what Shirou's birth family was like. Not everyone has magic circuits...
>not having magic circuits
Has Nasu ever shit on the DEEN adaptions before?
I never said that I didn't, anon.
Oh man, I just finished the episode of F/Z where Rin saves a bunch of kids. How is it possible that one little girl can be so incredibly stupid, brave and adorable, all at the same time?
God, my heart exploded at least 5 times in 20 minutes. I can't tell if I'm happy or sad she grows up to be cynical and cheap as hell.
Rin grows up to be even more perfect, anon.
That's why I'm conflicted. She's perfect when she grows up, but as a kid she's just TOO GOD DAMN CUTE. I want her as a daughteru and a waifu, there's no winning!
I skipped the F/Z Rin episode because fuck Rin.
Hey anon, it's ok. We all have shit taste at times. But you really did miss out on the cuteness. Magic and nearly dying has never been so adorable.
I uploaded Emiya 2012 to jewtube, and had a fucking lot of views. But then shit happened and only elevens can watch it now.
Listen to Shoujo Shinka instead.
So is this a duel or extermination?
THERE WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH EMIYA REMIXES.
Original is best anyway.
2012 grew on me.
Is this from Fate or HF?
I need to stop procrastinating HF.
HF. Get the fuck on it.
He is obviously less powerful as he is older and has been living a decade without a heart, and he probably didn't think that Shirou would actually be able to do anything (he may not have realized that the knife he was holding was a plot device).
If Shirou got his powers because he had a magical artifact shoved up his ass for a large portion of his life, why don't mages do that more often?
The only thing Shirou gained from Avalon was his bizarre regeneration.
And magical artifacts aren´t easy to find, you know.
My dick would feel funny too if I ever see Tohsaka in that sexy pondering pose.
What is thumping?
Just finished the Grail Dialogue episode of F/Z.
I honestly don't think I've ever seen a character as charismatic and respectable as the King of Conquerors. I want to follow him into battle, god dammit, I want to die in his service and follow him into the afterlife as a heroic spirit.
We get it, you're gay for Rider.
Gay for bara dick, ey?
Are you not gay for Rider?
Yeah, incredibly so. But really, how can you not be?
I am strongly in disagreement with his leadership philosophy.
Despite your opinion, I will continue to adore the big bear.
There's a reason he's the Rider class
By pledging allegiance to a different king.
the king engine!!
Because there's only one Noble Phantasm that can still be used by humans (Fragarach) and shoving magical artifacts into people is an inefficient use of them.
It changed his Origin and Elemental Affinity to Swords.
Also Avalon's regeneration only works if Shirou has a contract or is close to Saber, so it's useless under normal circumstances.
>It changed his Origin and Elemental Affinity to Swords.
How can the origin of a persons soul be changed?
Nasu is a good story writer but the rules of his universe get a bit iffy sometimes
I say he has good ideas and he's an okay writer.
No, it also worked before the summon. It wasn't just Rin's magic that kept him alive.
It's explained that as Saber neared the time of summoning, Avalon began to exert its magic.
It's not that they need to be extremely close, but it's that she needs to be in the same time-flow or whatnot.
Fucking fairies, man
Now seeing as how no one has brought this up yet, I feel the need to ask:
Would you Mapo?
With Iri, I believe it required contact with Saber, but Iri wasn't her master. So I suppose that means that it's more automatic if you're her master, the contract acts as a link.
How can sword be an origin?
>Unlike elements, origins are direction-oriented, as in, doing ____ (verbs not just nouns). These are impulsive behavioral patterns on the existential level; absolute orders, not things like "swords" or "fire".
>Azaka - Taboo - Tendency to stray away from the norm.
>Araya - Stillness
>Kiritsugu - "Severing" and "Binding"
>Shirazumi Rio - Consumption
>Shiki and Angra Mainyu - Void/Nothingness - Absolute negation that goes beyond the concept of "presence" and "non-presence."
>Tomoe - Worthlessness
Why was Kotomine so in love with Mapo?
Makes sense since HF has the remnants of the Illya route in it anyway.
Its just hard to have absolute perfect consistency in a large body of work is what I'm saying
It simply can be something like "making swords"
because that's what his magic circuit is for.
It brought the pain he desired.
Because the one he ate was really spicy. He loves suffering to such an extent that even making himself suffer is enjoyable to him. The mapo tofu I ate wasn't very spicy, but I guess it depends on what is in it.
I actually just finished watching that.
He IS a sword, basically.
It's also because Iri had some major shit going on with the grail and her body that Shirou didn't.
I assume, at least.
Shirou also had that inside him for a much longer time, though I'm unsure if that matters at all
Kotomine could only show his full form against an equal badass
Which is why he wasn't full on mode until Shirou was dying, literally made out of swords, and they fought before the devil who was about to be reborn and destroy the world.
>Implying that Shirou was equal to Kotomine even in HF
But his origin is "sword" not "making swords"
I'd say UBW Shirou is the strongest just because he fought Gligamesh
Shirou was regenerating to an extend during his fight with Archer in UBW due to Saber's presence there despite not being her Master. Physical proximity suffices.
Shirou can't be a sword.
Shirou is not a sword, he is someone who makes swords.>>101988833
as his origin would make more sense than "sword".
Shirou knew every sword at first glance and understood their abilities.
If Shirou is a sword, so is Archer, because Archer is Shirou.
Shirou should've known Archer is a Sword and himself simply by looking at him.
The only sword Shirou cannot read is Ea.
Which is why Kotomine also went in there not in full form, but also partially dying to compensate.
We literally know that Shirou in HF is stronger in the short term since he's obtained something far beyond human measure, but he typically won't survive as long if the fight lasts awhile. Meaning HF Shirou will of course beat UBW Shirou since in HF he's literally superhuman tier and can keep up with an executioner even partially, although hen loses if the fight takes more than a few minutes.
Still that was a comment about who's more baddass, not power.
In no small part due to avalon's existence, though.
If "Wothlessness" can be a valid origin, so can "Sword"
Well fuck, that actually makes sense.
>I am the bone of my sword
In all seriousness though, that's pretty valid reasoning.
it's a metaphor, fuck
I believe his Origin became sword when a fucking EX Noble Phantasm related to another A++ NP fused with his body.
Well, yes. That was my point
HF Shirou is technically he strongest of the three, though actually using his powers causes him to self-destruct really fast.
And UBW Shirou was fighting the King of Jobbers who did everything in his power to lose. (And received help from both Archer and Saber.)
It's all due to Avalon.
>I believe his Origin became sword when a fucking EX Noble Phantasm related to another A++ NP fused with his body.
But the origin is the original starting point of a soul.
Being reincarnated doesn't change ones origin, so why can Avalon change a sheathe change it to sword?
Can you summon Rin as the saber class, using Shirou as a noble phantasm?
UBW Gil is weakest Gil, though (Not counting HF). Plus Shirou pulled him into his marble and forced him into melee combat.
captcha: cold-blooded dekths
HF Shirou is strongest in the short term, UBW is strongest in the long term, and Fate... Well, he's probably the happiest, most fulfilled.
Maybe it's because Archer exists outside of time.
How the fuck did Fate Shirou project Caliburn and Avalon without training and fucking himself up?
Well, Shirou himself said that he died that day. I'm not Nasu m8.
>These are impulsive behavioral patterns on the existential level;
He is "sword", that which exists just as a tool to be used by others.
UBW is probably the most fulfilled.
They were a part of him, Avalon was with him for ten years, and Caliburn was with him in dreams. As the original owner knew that sword so did he.
Well, at least with Avalon it's because it was part of him for 10 years, so it's ingrained within him. Caliburn was just lolplot.
Because china-bootleggings swords and sword accessories is basically the fundamental of his magic
>How the fuck did Fate Shirou project Caliburn and Avalon without training and fucking himself up?
Well, Rin gave him the way to activate it. Remember the scene with the jewels?
In UBW he went numb because she didn't open the path when he pulled archer's swords raw.
Avalon was with him for so long that it wasn't an impossibility.
Also due to his contract with Saber. Shirou loses the ability to project Avalon without his link to her. It's why Archer never uses it.
Because Nasu didn't think of limiting Shirou when he wrote Fate first.
If you want something somewhat plausible in universe, I'd go with Avalon was a part of his body already and he had the strongest connection to Saber in that route.
See Heaven's Feel.
I AM THE BONE OF MY SWORD
Why didn't Shirou just work with skidrow to break the DRM on Excalibur?
They don't speak jap
Because even if he could get the damn thing to boot, it would likely crash his system since elevens are known to only use crappy computers to play eroge.
What a cheeky cunt
Kara no Kyoukai had Shiki's origin change from "conflict" to " " after her coma. Literally, in the work that introduced the concept to the Nasuverse.
Basically, a sufficiently traumatic and life-changing event plus the right kind of MAGIC I AIN'T GOTTA EXPLAIN SHIT.
Pretty much. Kind of reminds me of the question "what powers do a vampire have?" Whatever the fuck you want its a fictional setting
captcha: dscrsse grievances
There's no such thing as "weakest Gil", don't forget that he defeated Berserker without breaking a sweat.
The thing is, Shirou and Archer's ability is literally the ideal countermeasure against the GoB because they can replicate anything Gil throws at him (exept Ea).
Zelretch is the best Type-Moon.
Zelretch a prophet.
If Gil was serious about his fight with Shirou, the fucker would have gotten some Ea right up his marble phantasm.
If only, if only...
If Gil was more serious he could have just worn his armor or spammed GoB before Shirou could deploy UBW. No need for Ea.
Never mind that they need UBW up in the first place. Unsurprisingly, it was Gil's arrogance that did him in, not his lack of strength.
>Tsukihime 2 featuring Shiki, Shirou, their harems, Aoko, Zelretch, and Enhance all working to stop the Aylesbury Ritual will never come out
It hurts to live.
That's because Berserker can't do shit if he's stuck at a distance.
Oh gil. Never change
Reminder that Berserker was concentrating on protecting Ilya, not fighting Gil.
What the fuck is that anyway?
Then why could Ilya project Excalibur in Prisma Ilya when she took Archer's form?
Gil is anti servant under those conditions he would've lost anyway as Basakaaaaaa
I want an OVA about those five years that Kiritsugu spent with Shirou before dying of broken dreams.
I want Kiritsugu going to a family restaurant and realizing Kotomine and Gil are sitting in a nearby table.
Or Kiritsugu going to the market to buy milk, realizing there is only one left and touching Kotomine´s hand the instant that bot of them try to take the milk.
>Taking Prisma Ilya seriously
Hercules would have made an amazing Archer. It's a shame Heroic-Spirit Emiya and Gil are two of the baddest mother fuckers ever, since if they weren't Hercules could have actually taken their place.
Also, do we ever find out what the rock weapon the Einzbern's use to summon Berserk? It was the ritual item used, if memory serves, but I don't recall how it was related to him, or if I'm mistaken.
Kiritsugu was out a lot of the time.
What was he doing anyway, trying to see Ilya?
Illya didn´t had a contract with Saber
He would have performed better if Illya hadn't been in Gil's line of fire, but odds are he'd have fallen eventually.
Prisma Ilya is serious though.
Fucking christ, I meant Berserker. That's that 5th time in the past week I've made that mistake while typing.
a slab of an ancient temple dedicated to him
At the beggining yes, then he continued helping people around the work and having sex with hookers.
I don't think they really met each other during those years even if they knew each other were still there.
Also, it sounds like a CP gag.
>Implying Kerry would betray any of his true loves.
It's not clear exactly what it involves, but it's intended to revive The Dark Six, aka the original Dead Apostle.
The two details I find the most interesting are that:
One, the ritual was designed by the Crimson Moon himself.
And Two, all three "factions" of DAAs are involved in the actual ritual; those loyal to Altrouge (Altrouge herself), those loyal to Arcueid and the original Crimson Moon (Merem Solomon and Gransurg Blackmore), and those loyal to Ortenrosse (Ortenrosse himself). And Van-Fem.
Oh, so they really just took a chunk of a temple out and summoned him with it?
That's pretty classy.
Archer can use it, he even threatens Saber in UBW, saying that if she were to use Excalibur inside his UBW he'd also use it (he also says that it's not a perfect imitation, but the clash of the two swords would easily kill the bystanders, Rin and Shrou)
Season 2 when?
She had her mana from the Holy grail unsealed at that moment.
So she had the greates power supply ever at her disposal, and that's also why she was able to beat the original Excalibur, something that shoudn't be possible with such projection.
Or so I've heard
Season 4 is what we want.
They can easily make more of it as well.
The results are endless with Fate/Zero.
The F/SN and Tsukihime remakes also help out.
They'd be fucking fools to not make more
Protip: Excalibur and Avalon are different things.
Shirou can project Excalibur too in HF when he has no contract with Saber.
I need more skits involving Rin attempting to figure out technology. Flustered Rin is best Rin
I would pay good money to see another season of it... even though I haven't seen the original as of now. I need to read Tsukihime so I get all the jokes.
It's the reason that in FSN Gilgamesh's natural enemy is stated to be Archer, while in CCC and Zero his natural enemy is "None".
His arrogance is his fatal flaw, but if he overcomes that even slightly where it isn't an issue like in CCC, then he's almost unstoppable.Still takes 90% of his treasury to break from the Far Side of the Moon to the Near Side to save his mongrel on a "whim", but when he's got the will he can make it happen.
I would love skits like this.
It's stated to be what fucked up Extra World so much, or at least a failed version of that ritual.
I forgot, can shirou shoot his swords like gilgamesh in his reality marble?
You see, I was going to do that as well, anon. I was going to read Tsukihime (which I have downloaded) and then watch CP.
But then one night, I decided, "Hell, I'll watch the first episode, see what it's all about". I then proceeded to watch every episode back to back, and I regret NOTHING.
Isn't Excaliblast infinitely scalable with the amount of mana you put into it?
Yes, but he can do that outside the RM as well
It just takes a hell of a lot more prana and is inefficient. It's how Archer killed Caster after all.
>"Hey, look, a cellphone. How useful."
Kerry is love
How is HF Shirou the strongest, if memory serves me well all he did was get the shit knocked around even more then before and had his arm cut off.
UBW Shirou had a reality marble and defeated Gil
The "Hello? Iri?" gets me every fucking time
Because he can match Archer's abilities at projection by using his arm. UBW Shirou isn't as powerful as that.
Gil is the King of Jobbers, while HF Shirou could beat trained servants.
He killed Berserker and became swords. If becoming swords didn't kill him, he'd probably be the strongest, but as it stands, UBW kind of wins purely for the fact that he doesn't die, and he already has control of UBW instead of simply knowing about it and not having the time to learn it.
Yeah i know archer can do it but does shirou ever do it in BW ?
Because he has Archer's arm.
Do you not see why that right there is infinitely stronger than the other routes?
Reminder that Shirou's true loves are swords.
Because after he lost his arm he got Archer's, and that rapidly boosted his ability to use projection. To the point he was able to recreate sorcery.
Translation of that comic?
If only he was archer...
I'd be the sheath to your sword
He does it in his fight against Gilgamesh.
Yes, both outside and inside. Why people never realize this I have no idea.
>UBW Shirou had a reality marble and defeated Gil
You think it's a direct power contest, when in reality it's rock, paper, scissors. Shirou in UBW could not match any other servant, he states this himself, he only could go against Gilgamesh since their power was the same. He was not stronger than Gilgamesh, rather their powers were just compatible as hell and Shirou held the advantage if he could get the RM up.
You seem to think "He beat the strongest servant, so obviously he's even better than Gilgamesh" when in reality Gilgamesh is just King of Jobbers, and it's like thinking Shiki is stronger Arcuied. HF Shirou meanwhile beat Berserker with his own power, and was able to take down Saber in a battle of skill even if it killed him in the same moment. He was directly servant level, rather than UBW who was not servant level but had the fire power of a servant in a very special condition. It's like you missed how they kept stating in HF how a Heroic Spirit's body is far beyond anything humanly obtainable, to use it even once would give hum incomparable power to a human, but he would surely die in exchange. This was a power beyond what humans should ever have.
I bet he doesn't even know how to shoot a sword
Shirou X Kanshou and Bakuya OTP
Ok i was just wondering if i made that up or it really did happened
He did it against Archer when they were inside Archer's RM, Shirou traced 17 blades and fired all of them. Later, he fought Gil and used his bladespam in the fight. Then inside UBW he could fire projections like a machine gun with ease.
Yes, he can do the telekinetic sword thing.
But that episode makes Rin even worse in the long run. If she saved a bunch of kids from a murderer and a Deep One, what's to say that she couldn't be just as bold and impulsive and storm right into the Matoi household and take Sakura? If she had failed, then it at least makes sense that she wouldn't try to overstep her boundaries and interfere where she was told not to go.
Because she's a daddy's girl, and daddy was the one who gave the sister away and said not to mess with her again.
Tokiomi is the root of all evil.
I still wonder how Archer lost to Berserker in Fate.
She thought Sakura was living a nice life in the Matoi household. Why would she need to storm in and take from her the only possibility she has of becoming a magus?
By the way, there is a doujin about Rin storming into the Matoh Househould to save Sakura and getting raped by worms and I think that faceless men too.
Are you kidding? Heracles is immune to Rank B attacks and lower. Thus you need Rank A attacks to even scratch him. Since projections are automatically one Rank lower, Archer has to generate his most powerful projections and then blow a ton of mana to turn them into Broken Phantasms in order to harm him. And he becomes immune to an attack after being hurt by it once, so Archer can't just spam Caladbolg IIs.
Now this is one thing I'm not clear on. A heroic spirit's body. Are Servants simply inherently stronger than their "real life" counterparts? Or is their strength the same? Are they boosted like hell just for being summoned as a heroic spirit? IE, is Archer inherently stronger than he was, say, right before he died and was at his strongest possible peak as a human? Or are all of Archer's abilities, including his physical ones, the same as his old ones only with a bigger prana pool? Or is human Archer equal in terms of ability?
I still don't get it. I know the strength of the Master effects the strength of the Servant, but are they basically just as strong as they were in life? Or are they much stronger now as Servants?
>ran out of mana
>berserker doesn't slow down much even when he's being bladespammed
>Has 12 lives to take your one with Ilya backing him up
Herakles may not be able to project but he isn't a bitch by any means
I believe so, that's why a Excalibur with the support of the Grail should be able to beat Saber's Excalibur, even with one rank down.
Which is kind of funny considering hes after the "root"
Seiba wrecked his shit the first day and it made him substantially weaker
They never met except in Carnival Phantasm
Ilya wouldn't/wasn't helping against Archer
God, those fucking worms freak me out. Terrifying shit
Saber under Sakura is said to be more powerful than when she was alive, which implies that she otherwise is weaker. Heroes were that powerful. As Gil says, humans have degenerated over time and many heroes have divine ancestry.
Yes. It's why in one bad end Saber's excaliblast in the forest against Berserker when she has almost no mana doesn't even scratch him.
He could just us Nine Lives Blade Works, and ti would be even more devastating than it was with Shirou.
I'm not saying he's a bitch, but Archer's power is pretty broken as we see later in the game.
But Daddy gave her the magic compass that points out shit that he says is too dangerous for her to mess with, but she still went after her friend, despite the compass freaking out on her. So she disobeyed Daddy and was fine; why doesn't she make the connection of "My sister looks like a fucking zombie at school and her brother is that cunt Shinji; perhaps I should check up on her, once in a while."
I thought only her defence or endurance was more powerful than when she wa alive
>He could just us Nine Lives Blade Works, and ti would be
He could just use Nine Lives Blade Works, and it would've been
Shit, god damn phone.
>Saber is a sword
>her brother is that cunt Shinji
Shinji was out of town at the time and wasn't a cunt until he realized Sakura was the inheritor of the Matou magecraft
Dark Berserker wasn't killed by Nine Lives Blade Works despite the fact his extra lives were gone, he was blind, his body was rotting away and he still had all the wounds that originally killed him. Shirou had to do a follow up attack which only worked because Berserker hesitated when he sensed Illya. Trying that against regular Berseker would have been suicide.
She looked pretty normal when she wasn´t being raped by worms.
And even when Shinji is a bitch, livign with the Matou was the best thing for Sakura. Otherwise, she would had to live the rest of her life at the shadow of Rin with the possibility of becoming a magus stolen from her.
From a magus standpoint, it was the best for Sakura.
Its still damn impressive though
There's also the legend popularity thing, so someone famous as Berserker and Saber should've had some boost, while Archer, being from the future, probably had his original strength.
Not forgetting that part of Archer's abilities were given to him by the world when he made a contract to be a CG when he dies.
Regardless if Archer did that against Berserker, and who's to say that he didn't, Berserker's full attention was on him because Archer wouldn't hurt Ilya.
So lets say he got them all off in that time span, that's 9 of Hercule's lives already.
Now he's right fucking in front of you and pissed off.
But when has being a magus worked out well for Sakura? She had A class magic genes that would have gone to waste yes, but Zouken still wasted them by changing her affinity which degraded her magic ability, and then we never really got to see much of her power until she got absorbed by the Grail, which provided so much power that we would never really be sure of how strong she was in the first place.
Has Remiyax v.6 come out yet?
9 is more than 5 atleast
Servants generally were stronger when alive, but a heroic spirit is also something beyond any current human in some sense of the word. Either because they are from a period of humanity when humans were just better, or beacuse the nature of their composition makes them something much greater than humans in rank
It's said that by average Servants are better than DAA "up to a point", but once it hits that point servants stand very little chance really. but it's more a game of averages there, since servants outrank most DAA, but the upper ranks of DAA also far outrank everything below them by miles.
Either way, servants tend to be some powerful shit.
Rin didn´t knew that.
It´s not like Zouken went around telling everyone the things he did to Sakura.
It´s not like Archer was expecting to survive that battle.
>My sister looks like a fucking zombie at school and her brother is that cunt Shinji; perhaps I should check up on her, once in a while."
>Thinking Sakura was allowed to got to school for the first few years of her training
Shinji wasn't too much of a cunt until later on supposedly. Shirou didn't find him to be awful until around high school, after he found out he had hit Sakura.
A battle plan with the greatest chance of success isn't necessarily the same thing as a battle plan that could deal the most amount of damage in the same timeframe.
Archer "could" have beaten Berserker under good conditions, but in that situation he was kind of fucked and Rin knew he was just there to bide time. He has to kill a guy far stronger than himself twelve times in a row while that guy only has to hit Archer once to win, it's far uphill without any support for Archer.
He's not trying to impress someone.
Why do people like to shout when they're about to beat someone into pieces in anime?
Now this is more like it.
Servants are generally less powerful because they are mere containers of their more powerful original selves. Also, not all of their Noble Phantasms are with them.
Shirou's word isn't worth for shit in this metter.
Fuck, he was too goddamn tolarant with Shinji.
Dark Berserker (the blind, half-dead, crippled version of Berserker) wasn't killed once by Nine Lives Blade Works. Regular Berserker wouldn't have died once either.
One of the best fights.
And Tpye-Moon Complex X
Damn, that doujin good. A little forced, maybe, but I loved it nonetheless.
Black Berserker was dying and lost his skin. Also blind. And would have won if not for Ilya.
Black Saber was holding back her power and speed so that the fight would be "fair" and "honorable", unlike a bully vs a shit.
Kotomine was basically winning the entire fight after he had to use his remaining energy to keep himself alive because he no longer hand black blob in his rib cage powering him up.
What trained Servants?
Saber wasn't using excaliblasts but was still using her full swordsmanship abilities. She did block four simultaneous attacks onto herself. She was not holding back.
>Black Saber was holding back her power and speed so that the fight would be "fair" and "honorable", unlike a bully vs a shit.
Nothing like that was ever stated, in fact she lambasted him for not going all out against her, so she'd be an upright hypocrite to do the same there. Some people like to say she didn't go all out because she didn't just spam Excalibur against him 24/7 and call it a day, but she has even greater pride in her swordsmanship than she does in her dragon's breath, so just because she doesn't spam energy blasts doesn't mean she's not trying. She was ordered to stop him there, and she fulfilled that command to her utmost if he tried to get through. She was trying to kill as noted in the text itself, she did not let up when she saw an opening and was surprised when he lasted even that long after he developed Mind's Eye a bit as Archer's image flashed on the screen.
Chances are he would, since it would be Archer and not broken Shirou fighting.
God damn Seiba is useless.
I really hope Ufotable can do it justice in animation. It's an intense read, but the truth of it is just two dead men whaling on each other. I'm not sure how good that'll look.
>Things won't conveniently go right for me
>Immediately, Kotomine conveniently runs out of time
It would only work once.
This is hard
Fox girl, if you're a guy
Bold Sword if you're a girl
Archer if you're a homosexual
Very good, Kotomine still kicked Shirou like ten feet up in the air there and they were both at their absolute limits. The mark of a great fight at times isn't "Great power levels" but the feeling and desperation behind it. Like comparing Rosario Vampire to Legend of the Strongest Man Kurosawa. Something may look pretty Man of Steel in terms of action, but the raw emotion of something far more powerful even if a mountain isn't being broken with every attack can overcome any such gap.
This is some shit right here.
That last one seems familiar.
If it gets animated at all, and we don't just get Fate. Which I would be okay with, but...
The answer is clear.
No. She held beck in the fight because she was stronger even when her opponent was at their strongest. It's not hypocrisy. It's leveling the playground so that the battle is only a battle of swordsmanship, not sheer power.
That is why even at full power, Black Berserker almost won his fight until Ilya stopped him.
Full swordsmanship does not mean you're exerting all your speed and power. Alter, with ONE swing, hit a real Servant and that attack blew a real Servant a good distance away.
The "full swordsmanship" fight did not have Alter using her power and speed. It had her fighting only with her skills and the appropriate speed and power to make the fight even.
Alter has the power to blast a real Servant away with a single swing, and you're telling me an inferior version of a real Servant can withstand all of those blows?
Of course, Alter held back. It was, Alter said, her respect to the ties they once held.
Where did you got the game? All the places I had dowloanded it for have the game fucking encrypted and I´m too stupid to know how to decrypt it.
Also, fox girl best option.
Like father like son
/a/ told me caster was lame though.
I'd go with the stoic warrior
Caster is devoted waifu
What are you talking about? Almost everyone here loves Caster.
>/a/ told me caster was lame though.
Whoever said that was lying. Caster is the absolute favorite of most people on /a/
We are /a/, and all we told you is that you'll be miserable starting out with her since she's hard as fuck mode.
/a/ is a faget
pls kery no
If you do a second playthrough, you get all the info of the enemies that you earned in your first playthrough, so grinding isn't nearly as dangerous.
Sounds dangerous. Whatever, I'll go with Red Saber.
I had a male PC and went with Archer. You can still have Rani as a love interest.
ur beautifull too
I have no clue how it'd work.
They need to include every line inside Shirou's head to show just how dead he really is with every step that he takes.
I'm scared of how they're going to do it.
Has there ever been a good VN adaptation?
One of F/SN's size, there's a million things that they can fuck up.
You know, fuck it, I'll be fine with everything they do on the condition that they release an OVA of Sparks Liner High.
I'd be perfectly content with that
>They need to include every line inside Shirou's head
This is a big problem with adaptations, it's so much more difficult to do monologues and narration properly. A lot of studios will just not bother and leave it out. Ufotable might not fuck it up though.
Steins;Gate is the best VN adaptation I can think of, but it's very linear and even then it had some problems. Cutting out the best scene with Nae...
Wait Clannad had a fairly goo adaptation, although the ending wasn't as fulfilling as the VN.
>They need to include every line inside Shirou's head to show just how dead he really is with every step that he takes.
You underesimate animation, where it would be even easier to show just how dead he is. Just the long drawn out scene where he's making his way across the cavern over a ten minute period, unable to bend his knees anymore, swords gorwing out of him as he can barely keep his eyes open anymore, and he just can't walk anymore; picture that.
Picture every scene they're displaying for you in the end, like when he's sitting there brain-dead at the end with sword in hand trying to remember Ilya's name as she walks slowly past him to the center. This would be a lot easier to show how painful it is in animation.
Long as they don't go the cheap route here like DEEN not showing how fucked up Archer's arm was after stopping Gae Bolg, because they need those details here to make it work.
That's because they didn't make you work for it in the anime, so everyone was going "Dragonball ending, bullshit, there was no build up there". In the game there's a foregone conclusion, and you must gather everything to overturn fate.
Although the anime skipped Kappei's route which was one of the best, and Akio's route, so I have to subtract at least two points.
Imagine trying to adapt something like Cross Channel where a good portion of the text is Taichi thoughts.
>Illya! Illya! Illya! Illya! Illya!
Fuck, I cried at that part.
>That's because they didn't make you work for it in the anime
Yeah, that's what I mean. And you're right about the skipping routes too.
Most of Tatami Galaxy was the MC's thoughts and that worked out fine. Presentation is the biggest factor for these things.
>10 minutes of a 20 minute long episode of Shirou moving 5 feet
Holy fucking shit.
That would be perfect
I'd watch the FUCK out of that
There's other issues besides that at least with Cross Channel, but I'll have to check out Tatami Galaxy as that sounds interesting.
Just know that the MC does talk fast as fuck, so you'll have to pause a lot to read the subs. Probably the fastest subs of any anime.
Maybe just thirty seconds would be all it needs, just make it look painful enough and it'll go over well enough.
I'm able to read pretty fast so I should be able to keep up. I'll pause if needed but that hopefully shouldn't be an issue.
That's what they all say anon.
I would love them showing Shirou's POV with all that "static" thing.
Ghost Banri why?
I can't wait to see Nine Lives Blade Works in the new anime.
Because nobody is choosing Linda. And he's going to some pretty crazy lengths over it...
I do like how they portrayed the attack in Unlimited Codes. Granted, it missed a lot of the emotional impact from the scene in the novel, but it was a nice effect.
Though the version from the Vita HF OP was probably better.
I´m giving up on play Extra. I can´t find a fucking decrypted version of the game or at least a way of decrypting it anywhere.
Damn I'm tired, I was about to ask why you were talking about Muv-Luv.
And yeah, fuck Sony.
I'm the guy who just started playing it, I literally just googled "fate/extra download" and used whatever rom site came up first. I don't understand what the problem would be.
I have dowloanded the game lots of times but every time I try to run in my PSP emulator a meesage pops up saying that it´s "encypted"
I dunno dude I guess you just suck.
I have a question.
We know that when Saber gets the Holy Grail or breaks the contract, she dies and becomes a Heroic Spirit. And we also know that the Throne of Heroes exists outside of time and space, which is why Archer could be summoned.
In the VN we get 3 different Sabers, and there are parallel worlds we don't see. So who becomes the Heroic Spirit exactly? We know Fate Saber breaks the contract for sure, but what about UBW Saber and HF Saber? They have to reach their ends one day.
I already solved it.
My JPCSP version was shit.
When Saber dies she doesn't go to the Throne, she goes to Avalon.
>Shirou opens a rental store for magical swords
9/10, would read.
