>[HorribleSubs] Saint Seiya Omega - 90 [720p].mkv
Time for best Taurus
Why is this shit still going yet they wont resume Lost Canvas?
It's almost finished. Just seven more episodes.
How does /a/ actually feel about this anime? Im almost getting feels for it but its so all over the place I cant trust where it going......
Love that intro tho....
Dropped this after Mars arc. I kind of want to pick it up since I heard the old cast got more protagonism, and really want to see Ikki kicking butts.
You either have:
A) The people who bash Omega because it's not the classic Saint Seiya.
B) The fans that genuinely enjoy it despite the faults.
C) Fans that don't like it or hate it, but still think it's interesting.
The majority you'll find on /a/ is in A.
I actually like it since the beggining except for the school part
after that it's been a fun ride
What if Omega is a very bland forgetable show that rely too much on nostalgia and at the same time alienate the fanbase?
Then you're in D. You don't care for it at all.
Omega really missed a great chance when they decide to not make Kouga the bastard son of Seiya and Saori.
It'd be pretty much the arthurian myth adapted to SS, with Seiya as Lancelot and Kouga as Galahad. The best saint/knight has a hero's fall for falling in love of a forbidden woman and his son take his mantle and achieve what his father couldn't (The holy grial/defeating the Olympus). This is the kind of shit the fans want, a fucking conclusion to SS. Too bad the drunk bastard will die before making the Heaven arc. Fucking Toei!
>Caring for omega
Not even Japan does that. To be more precise, Japan never cared for Omega. /a/ cared a little about omega during S1 and only because /a/ was disapointed with Smile Precure and for some reason they chose to see Omega as Heartcatch S2 and scream based Umakoshi every week.
>Oh look is THIS guy again
Before Omega, nobody gave a damn about SeiyaxSaori but when Kouga seemed to be their son, the entire fandom became rabid shippers. The fandom is THAT desperate for a conclusion.
>Not even Japan does that. To be more precise, Japan never cared for Omega.
That really isn't true. Saint Seiya has surpassed Toriko in Japan, at least as far as Toei's profits are concerned, and Omega is their main marketing vehicle for the brand currently. So, it IS a success for them, especially considering the timeslot and lack of budget.
There's an upcoming episode with a title about revealing a lie, and the description says that Seiya is going to reveal his feelings for Athena. It probably won't be about Kouga being their bastard son, but it sounds like they'll finally be actually stating that Seiya loves her.
There's still a possibility for a third season. Nothing has been announced for Omega's timeslot yet. Last year, we got the announcement for the second season at the end of February, so there's still time.
Based Harbinger, so we got 3 gold saints still alive Seiya, Harbinger, Integra
mfw Titan sacrifices himself to save Pallas and Athena
>Seiya is going to reveal his feelings for Athena.
Welp, Seiya confrimed for dying
Omega already lost its chance. Who cares about SeiyaxSaori anyway? Kouga being their bastard son was an interesting premise, it has never been done before on SS and introducing demigods fit really well with the mythological theme.
Nah. He's still going to get his Sagittarius cloth evolved by Athena's power.
They wouldn't kill him before even showcasing it in actual episodes, considering how New Sagittarius has already been confirmed for a myth cloth release.
Omega is the new coke and SS is the classic coke. It gave notorierity to SS among its hardcore fans but mostly for how much they hate the new SS. Omega made some money for Toei after some mexican broadcaster and some french broadcasters bought the rights but it's mostly Bandai bullshit
Toru Furuya is the only guy on the set that knows shit about SS so I wouldn't be surprised if Omega is his vanity project
>Omega made some money for Toei after some mexican broadcaster and some french broadcasters bought the rights but it's mostly Bandai bullshit
That table separates international profits from Japanese ones. Saint Seiya grew in Japan even not counting the international numbers.
Again, it's Bandai bullshit. We're on the same situation of post-Sanctuary OVAs, everything is about selling myth cloths
What conclusion? The plot about SS is protecting Athena and they whooped Athena's biggest enemy in original. Seems very conclusive to me.
They just kept pulling new gods out of nowhere in continuity.
To be fair, up to now, in Omega s2, Seiya has only beaten grunts and a Class 3 Pallasite.
Hati, another class 3, dodged his attack and escaped. He couldn't do anything to Europa both times he faced him and he has just gotten beaten up by class 1 Pallasites so far.
Zeus was supposed to step in after Hades
>Implying the Heaven arc wasn't implied since forever
Remember Saga's megalomaniac rant of how he would defeat Poseidon, Hades and Zeus? We got 2 of 3 but the Heaven arc is still missing.
It's already confirmed Seiya will receive an upgrade and Shiryu and Ikki, fan-favorites, are "dead"
D) People who find out they're too old for this shit.
There's a Tohru Furuya's interview about his role on Sailor Moon and he complained that he played lead roles that weren't popular (Seiya) among the fans and he expected that his new character, Tuxedo Mask, would be liked by the fandom for being the love interest.
Considering how he hate the Heaven Prologue arc, Kurumada probably told everyone he is the only one allowed to write the Zeus arc.
We might see it in ND in like 3 years at earliest.
*Heaven Prologue movie
Damn it, Kurumada. Write the damn thing already
The omega staff still could do better than an overgrown Digimon and whatever the hell the pallasites are
>it sounds like they'll finally be actually stating that Seiya loves her.
>contradicting the manga
They really try, despite how often they fail
Just imagine all the threads and speculations about Kouga vs Gohan
