So, did Haruhi kill anime?
K-On wounded anime pretty badly.
Oreimo finished it.
Loli loving autists killed anime.
Pretty much. It inspired countless trash harem LN adaptations.
Haruhi at least had the interesting gimmick of intentionally being out of order to hide the fact that nothing actually happens
if anything it was lucky star
Yup. The fact that Haruhi was such a groundbreaking anime killed anime, since it has been done and redone to the core/
This is it. I like Haruhi, but it started a bad trend. Everyone gets super pissy about Lucky Star and K-ON because they are more offensive as such huge successes but they didn't really affect the industry as much as Haruhi. We see so many more cheap LN adaptations than cheap 4 koma adaptations. It has so much more to do with this and the actual production of anime by the production companies than just the anime being "moe" or not.
Haruhi's success inspired many anime to imitate it poorly. Too bad they only got the school life right and left sci-fi plot and good character writing out.
Pretty much this.
Back in 1976, yes
In the sense of an increase in LN adaptations, yes.
In the terms of anime as whole, no. That's retarded
Pretty much this.
Best Haruhi subs?
Eh... sekai and elysium should be good, if I remember correctyl
Haruhi? WHo knows.
The source of all evil. The Sauron of our times.
No. But she is killing my dick.
You do realize this picture is sarcasm itself, right?
>The Sauron of our times
Yeah I think he does
Haruhi was a good LN adapted into a good show but it's inspired all of the 1000000 generic haremshit LN adaptations since
The only reason I ever think people shout "anime is dying" or "the industry is dead" is because they'll only been fans for 5-6 years. I'm fifty three now, I've seen the industry from near its birth. The early 90s was when anime was dying, studios closing left and right. It somehow pulled itself out of the slump (and as much as fags don't like to admit it Evangelion helped bring across a lot of changes that helped). The industry puts out more shows, movies, and overall material than ever. It's thriving.
Only you reactionary faggots constantly shout that something is wrong.
Oh, the problem is not the amount.
