Compared to a $40/month ( on average, you might be able to find a cheap gym that will sell memberships for $10/month ) membership at a gym it's pretty cheap. Especially in the long run. You don't need fancy equipment.

That's not the right attitude. Keep doing as many as you can until you can reach 25. Once you start getting 25 successively with ease, go for 50.

Well initiative is great; the biggest part of getting in shape is committing to your workout and sticking with it. The problem is that the workout in question isn't going to do much but boost your ego. No one wants to spend time working out for weeks only to find out their workout sucks.
I almost never visit /fit/ either, I just read their sticky. Its a great resource for anyone wanting to get in shape.

Could be because fat weighs less than muscle. Fruit juice can be just as unhealthy for your as soda. Go drink unsweetened tea or just plain water.

The military makes you do a ton of stuff that isn't just that. Do little man in the woods, flutter kicks, the eight count push up, ect.
I can't even do a single push up properly.
I eat donuts, drink pop, have fried chicken, pizza, cookies, chips, cheetos, energy drinks, etc, etc. I also spend 90% of my free time on the computer.
Oh yeah & did I mention I'm in shape? Diets don't mean shit, it's called putting the fork down.
I eat whatever the fuck I want, but I do so in moderation; pop a few multi vitamins every day. I also power walk everywhere, and my job requires moderate physical labor. That's it.
I walk fast & my job sometimes makes me sweat a little. Not rocket science. Now excuse me while I stay to 4am reading crappy ecchi manga.

I've been taking weight training every quarter at uni for the past three years, and I'm pretty confident with the results (although I reached the "hot bod" stage at around halfway through the third quarter). Any anons who are in uni should consider taking weight training.

I lived in a Flip household. Rice with chicken and pork, for every single meal. I'm about thirty pounds underweight still.
For some context, I was a skinny ass motherfucker beforehand with almost no muscle. Now, I'm happy to take my shirt off at the pool and stuff.
Which is why the second part of my reply exists. A healthier alternative is to drink water or unsweetened tea if you're looking to reduce those pounds. Just because he says it isn't flooded with sugar doesn't mean it isn't. It's a common misconception among people that drinking fruit juice is healthier when they can get more benefits from actually eating fruits since they'll get shit like fiber in their diet as well.
I remember when I was looking at healthier choices for drinks (I am just used to a high liquid diet) and seeing that some fruit juices had just as much if not more calories then soda.

Find some easier exercise that works good for you, (I'd give an example but you know your body the best), practice doing those for a few weeks and then start escalating it.
Personally I like swimming as it gives a good total body exercise.
Also make sure to stretch before hand.

I dunno why, but it really pisses me off that so many fitness "buffs," pardon the pun, seem to think that fitness=bodybuilding=watermelon biceps&HUEGPEKS. Fuck that. I'd rather focus on things that matter, like core, stamina, endurance and flexibility. I'm not looking to be a fucking walking fortress.
I am well aware of how marketing are worse lairs then Lucifer, and trust me I eat tons of fruit/vegetables on their own (apples, carrots, oranges, pineapple ect) mostly for lunch, For breakfast I mostly have eggs and for dinner some healthy meat.
I like the idea of making exercise contingent with watching anime because I already have a routine for doing that, so it'll be easier to associate exercise with it than trying to find a time for it that's unrelated to anything.
