Which anime has the best opening theme of all time?
Because everything else is wrong.
>the best opening theme of all time
That's not right.
>pic not related
Record of Lodoss War TV
Show was crap though.
SAO's music was snoozetastic. A harp playing in the background over and over again along with generic J-Pop is not my idea of "best music of all time". The only good shit she's ever done was Fate/Zero.
Nobody said otherwise
Pretty much anything Yoko touches turns to gold. I love her work so much.
Dat OP thumbnail
I thought he/you said
>pic not related
Basically implying that SAO's music was not generic.
Oh. Well I feel like a dummy now.
Only opening theme in either series that's any good but god damn is it ever great.
No mention of this? For shame...
Shitty anime, great song.
My Dearest was terrible. OP 2 >>>>>>> *
After watching that Gainax compilation AMV, I can't help but feel hotblooded during this song.
Maybe not the best one overall, but it's the only exceptional one I can remember immediately.
IN THE COLD BREEZE
Still love it
The drums during that first verse and bridge always made my dick rock hard. And that breakdown right before the chorus as well as the chorus itself.
If the anime was as good as the OP was, it'd be a miracle of mankind.
Seriously. All of the scores in this show are so well done.
This, Everlasting is great too.
All hate for this show aside this OP is retardedly good.
How exactly can something be "retardedly good"?
I marathoned this show and never skipped the OP, so good
Another has one similar but way better.
Which do you prefer, /a/?
I don't know if they're the best of all time but I could listen to both of them on loop for hours.
It's absurd how good it is. Words lose meaning once they're used in inappropriate contexts enough.
I prefer this.
Well shit. I was contemplating downloading that show because there was another thread on it which piqued my interest. But damn, that's a good OP, maybe I will get it now. Worth watching?
>not posting the superior version
I like Bluray-exclusive opening 3 myself but Opening 1 is definitely a close second
I agree. SAO has the best OP I've seen in about two years.
and IMO, K-On
Busou Renkin's OP is top tier at the very least. Dat Motherfucking JAM PROJECT!
>80s anime Parody
>Kaiki shitting up the track intentionally
The last part is still a trip
>no one living in the database
>that amazing subtitle conversion between old and new
holy fuck that was beautiful who did the subs for that opening?
1 for sure.
somehow this song seems to capture everything about the feel of the story really well.
too bad the anime is ugly as fuck.
ED was way better.
not loving this OP should be a crime.
The only correct answer
i like both, but the feelings are different i guess,
the OP feels like loneliness and that desire to escape.
the ED just sounds like the darkness that the flower motif represented throughout the series.
I'm partial to Daiguard's OP, "Back Alley Spaceboy"
Just make this an OP thread
Now with actual english.
I think is a good recent one. Shows the essence of the show and I really like the ending bit where it all comes together and shows the GoHands logo. More studios should do something like that.
~15 more days
This sounded higher in pitch than I remember it being. Maybe the audio on the HorribleSubs thing was shit after all.
The OP was great. The actual song being full of sound effects and sword clashes kill it for me.
People often alter the pitch when uploading these things to YouTube to avoid it getting taken down.
I thought the second one had the better music.
Anyway, this is my contender. Stupid Youtube doesn't have it higher than 240p.
>Stupid Youtube doesn't have it higher than 240p
>Shit res for a shit opening to a shit show
I don't know, makes sense to me.
Still my favorite 12 years later...
>Read or Die
Aw shit, I remember that. Good times.
CAUSE I FEEEEEEEEEL
