what does /a/ think of Negima? How about the shitty rework that absolutely killed it?
bumping. Opinions please
We love it. We hate the ending.
Enjoy your time here.
been here before to get opinions on anime. I disliked the ending and thought it definitely could have been done much better to polish off the season well. That said, they picked it and stuck with it. What did you think of the remake Negima?! anon?
Recently started this. I can't stop thinking, "He's 10 you sick fucks."
when you consider most of the girls are only 13 ish it becomes less of an issue. What else do you think of it so far?
>>101935571 / OP here.
I would advise against the remake titled Negima?! as well as the OADs and OVAs. But that is my opinion
Other then the pedophilia thing? And I think it said they were more like 15-16. Seems good so far. Negi isn't a betamax despite being a kid. Asuna isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting.
there really isn't pedophilia in my eyes. they are confirmed to be around the age of 13 or 14. The only semblance of pedophilia is if you take into consideration the ghost or the vampire whose ages are significantly higher. Also, Asuna loves professor takahatta but it is clear in the anime he shows no love back. I don't think it is pedophilia if a younger person loves an older but the love is not returned or mutual So I don't feel pedophilia is there even though I know some may feel it is. I enjoyed it pretty well, but as I told the other anon, the remake and additional videos are terrible.
>shitty rework that absolutely killed it
I still mad.
Ken didn't even give me mai Eva spin-off to make up for that terrible ending.
You have only Kodansha to blame for that ending, Akamatsu is but a victim.
Negima?! is a remake of the original anime Negima Master Negi Magi. The original was made in 2005 and they reworked it in 2006. In the rework, characters are redrawn in a different style, voices changed, and the overall storyline is much different. They rewrote the anime with a much more [at least attempted] serious feel, removing almost all of the fanservice and much of the humor. They also changed the way pactios work, as well as changed the order and number of pactios negi makes with his classmates. They changed it in such a way that it seems extremely stupid and sailor moon esque. The alternate storyline causes quite a lot of changes in cast in terms of allies/villains and character dynamics
Oh wait you were talking about the anime? Why would you watch that? Even the original adaptation deviated quite a bit from the manga and shit.
from eechi haremshit to eechi battleshit to shitend; overall shit
There was No. Negima. Anime. TV. Series.
Yes the ending was lots of WTF. however I I also realize that it was the result of them "making it up as it goes along". Much of the anime was working with a nonexistant baseline manga. So things like the ending with a devil's contract didn't surprise me much. I feel like it could have been a great ending if they had taken the time to develop and cultivate it rather than just BOOM in your face with it -.- Also, it would have been nice to see Nagi resolved after saying he would come back to see Asuna. I think the only thing to blame is it was rushed
that's funny, cause s1 was shit
Why are you using spoilers to discuss something /a/ already read years ago?
I watched it from intrigue. I enjoyed it. I know it deviated from the manga due to them being created around the same time and running out of material during production. That explains the ending.
Google it please. I have both the original 26 episode Negima Master Negi Magi that aired on television and the remake Negima?! that also aired on telivison. Funimation distributed Negima Master Negi Magi [original] in the U.S. and it can be found on their website.
You never even read the manga, did you?
>Akamatsu is but a victim
akamatsu is a jew and everyone reading negima are the victims. akamatsu could have help making the series but he wouldn't risk sharing profits with his assistants & editors. and he could have resumed negima after the bill failed, but he did not care about the fans. just money. and even admits such too.
And then he the intellectual copyright wouldn't be his anymore.
No, there was never any Negima anime. You're imagining shit.
OP seems like a nice guy but he's so new it hurts.
eh what if someone hasn't seen it? better to be courteous than a dick
yes I did read the manga. Not discussing the manga here
S1 was better than the shitty remake anon
I will take fanservice and funny over dry and dull any day
also he'd still retain rights. just that future profits would be split with more than just himself.
>eh what if someone hasn't seen it? better to be courteous than a dick
Then that's their fault, it's been a decade so there's no point in using spoilers. That's like using spoilers to say that Spike dies, or that Nagisa dies, or that Ushio dies.
new to /a/ ? damn straight I am
new to anime? not even close anon.
I do enjoy discussion, regardless of what anime it is about. I post regular discussions on various anime just to pick the brains of you guys and see what you think.
sorry I don't share that mindset anon, I will continue to use spoilers for those who possibly haven't seen it. Thanks for the heads up though
>admitting to be new
Lurk more faggot. Better yet, fuck off.
>eh what if someone hasn't seen it?
negi doesn't end up with narusegawa. u mad?
Frankly, after that whole stink, I stopped caring about Negima. No need to get butthurt about him looking out for his own interests, so there's no need to really look at Negima.
This nigga thinks he's some tough shit.
I am kind of mad, anon.
Best girl (no, not Naru mk2) didn't win da Negima.
or you can go fuck off in a corner? lol faggot
eh didn't care
>talking about etiquette when he didn't even read the rules
Yeah, fuck off.
I loved it, hated the ending of course but am mildly hopeful we will get some kind of conclusion some day. A lot of people are negative towards UQ and I can understand, especially after what the fans have been through but I remain again, mildly hopeful. It hasn't really taken off yet, but negima took some time to take off as well.
Asuna was best girl. I wasn't looking for her to win, she was just best is all.
sounds like you should go back to /b/ there, anon
It's pretty funny how OP is the only one talking about the anime, and he doesn't even seem to realize it.
I like the sequel so far. Willing to forgive the ending at this point
I agree Asuna was the best. maybe that is why they seem to point to her and Negi intertwining at the end of that terrible ending. Not to mention even though she is the upstart chaotic ally, she is always the frontrunner in the Harem
seems to be getting a decent amount of replies mate
Asuna is much better than Naru. Honestly, I feel bad that she's stuck with such a crappy non-ending to the series.
The whole last few chapters of Negima is just utter waste of years of buildup.
I loved Negima, and the ending does kinda suck, but as long as UQ holder at least somehow makes up for it I'll be happy with the end product of the Springfield families bizarre adventure.
I'm not sure if people actually hate UQ Holder or if its just a combination of bitterness and trolling.
I haven't seen anything wrong with it so far. It has the exact same feel as the later Negima manga but with different characters.
It's a shame Negi is dead.
Asuna is stuck with a non-ending? she seems to be the only one that has the loose ends tied up in the anime with the last scene [original season]
You still haven't realized that you're the only one talking about the anime while everyone else is talking about the manga?
Nobody is talking about the anime but you.
No. Ken is in the same category as CLAMP for me now. Start a series, finish it, people say it's good, then I'll start following their shows from the start.
Sure...UQ Holder is good. ...unless Ken gets in another disagreement and sets the franchise on fire.
She is his aunt, nigga.
I understand that Kodansha was screwing him over...but was there any concessions, or is UQ Holder just going back to the same deal?
The only thing I honestly hated about Negima's ending was that we never found out what happened to Negi's mom. Everything else was low priority for me.
Remember the long AKAMATSU'S WIFE DEMANDS HIATUS breaks? Those were fun.
I was under the impression that she was his great great (many generations great) aunt. Like, she had a close relation to the original mage and was sealed away for ages. Negi just happens to be the most recent descendant of the same mage dude so that makes them related, but practically only in name.
pretty sure they get married with permanent pactio anon
I dont hate UQ, it's okay, but kinda dull and the setting is not that interesting. Then again it's better than the first chapters of Negima and comparing it to the best of Negima at this point is kinda unfair.
can't tell if trolling or didn't read/watch it at all
What? Nobody knows who won Negi, all we know is that his son or daughter married someone from the Konoe clan, probably Konoka's kid.
She was only like ten years older than her biological age. She was Negi's mom cousin.
Pretty sure you've been reading way too many fanfics.
I never watched the anime, only read the manga (to the end) but my memory might be foggy. My understanding is that Asuna was not Negi's mother's sister. She was from the same family, but from an earlier era. She had been sealed away for some amount of time because her magic nullification ability was considered dangerous. She was unsealed to use as a weapon, but Nagi's crew rescued her and gave her a new life.
That's my understanding of the situation based on what I can remember.
naru2.0 was confirmed for not winning the negimabowl kid
this, no incest /ss/ end
How long until UQ's first long hiatus?
When it gets exciting as fuck.
It was said that she was at least a century old at one point.
How are you supposed to tell those characters apart?
>implying writes it
>implying draws it
Not for a awhile. Since Akamatsu went full digital with a tablet, he has no problems meeting deadlines.
Really? Damn, I didn't notice. Usually when an artist draws on a tablet I can tell.
It's really not hard at all when you get to know them.
Akamatsu has been "cheating" on the backgrounds for a while now. IIRC he would do a digital render of a scene he was going to use multiple times and then use that as reference. For example, the arena for the first tournament. Lots of clean straight lines there, so he (or his assistants) were doing some sort of reference or tracing. If you look out for it you can see it at several points.
Negima?! (Shaft) > Negima! Magister Negi Magi (manga) > Negima! (Xebec)
>And I think it said they were more like 15-16.
Did you miss the part where it says it's a second year of middle school? Maybe this kind of manga is too complicated for you.
>what does /a/ think of Negima?
I think that I've masturbated to Akamatsu's art so much. Not even to fanart. His girls are just so fucking delicious.
For that, I can't even hate him for the ending.
Funny story, when I first read Love Hina some 7 years ago, I stopped fapping for about month because of how pure it felt. It just got to me. All that despite all the fan service in it.
In fact the 3D models are shown in the omake sections of some volumes.
Is that really cheating? It seems like a lot of extra effort to go to in order to stay consistent. That's like saying Architects who draw floor plans before building are cheating.
Yeah, that's why I put it in the scare quotes. I meant it more to say that he's obviously comfortable with digital art. Unless he was forcing an assistant to do it this whole time.
I didn't fap to the canon material of Love Hina at all. Doujin is another story.
I myself am thinking nice
I'm not going to read the sequel and Negima's ending until Negima characters start arriving in that series.
and if they reveal LH characters I'm dropping everything and picking it up.
Sorry, but there's no way LH characters could show up in UQ due to the date it takes place in.
Unless you want to see Grandma Naru...
I would love to see Grandma Naru
yeah I guess ;_;
bad: mary suiest most 1d main character in shonen history. incredibly shit plot from the point they got to the magic world onwards. worst ending in manga history. all the magic world villains were awful and horribly written.
good: as always with akamatsu series the bitches be fine and the banter is entertaining. artwork is good. most of the girls have well-developed personalities in the story.
MC wasn't that mary sue
like in the end it's implied the Ala atra and Eva were still more OP than him
>No Ako end.
Nice to see Akamatsu just say fuck you to background characters.
Frankly, Negi is already way too imba...
