better than 0 seeders
Still literally takes less than 30s for 1 300mb episode.
>6 month old torrent
>download it and start seeding
>original seeder leaves
>Download 4 year old torrent
>Still 1 guy seeding it
>Get 500+ kb/s
>Download whole show within the hour
Thank you random dedicated seedbro.
AHAHAHA go fuck yourself
Only a problem if said seeder doesn't know about super seeding.
I moved from utorrent to qbittorent because I started getting paranoid about it. And after a few hours I noticed half of my torrents weren't seeding, and found out bakabt doesn't like my version of qbittorent. Well fuck them, I don't wanna use an older version.
Just use XDCC faggot
Have you even see H-anime release nights? Literally 30,000 leechers
>everyone else is also at 99.8%
>been trying to get that last .2% for months
>the original guy is long gone
Is this hell?
Really? I've never had issues with bakabt and qbittorrent. Which version are you using?
You deserve it
3.1.8 doesn't work on bakabt yet.
>not using 2.0.4
Who cares? You can still watch it.
B-But /g/ told me it's bad to use outdated software...
Not if it's a rar file.
>not using XDCC for everything besides batches, which always have seeds
I'll be almost done watching the episode before you guys even start it.
I did around the end of last year, when I updated to 3.1.4 it took bakabt a little while to add it to their list of accepted trackers, dunno if that happens every version, didn't download anything from them around when 3.1.5 came out so idk if that had the same issue, but it definitely works now.
But I'm so close. How can I live with myself if I can't even get .2%?
I was wondering if this was a hikiko thread.
I swear to god this nigger purposely sets up his upload to 10kb just to fuck with people.
The only other answer would be third world internet, but it doesn't make sense for someone in this situation to get those rips this fast.
>tfw shitty internet
I seed all I can though, I haven't got much since my entire HDD got wiped out by mistake back in October, I think I was (one of) the last seeder for Doki's Seto no Hanayome full batch... I still try to recover it but >1 seeder, 2 leechers, seeder's always disconnected
I believe in the 1:1 torrent thing
>use RSS to acquire torrent immediately
>finishes downloading before it even shows up on nyaa
>XDCCfags still think it's faster than torrents
Can you set up XDCC to autodownload new releases as they are uploaded? Torrents make that really easy and I'm not sure how I'd do that with XDCC.
Also last time I tried to use XDCC to download a show, it was actually slower than torrents for it were.
>XDCC not set to automated download
I get really terrible speeds from most of the bots on rizon, like 150kb/s bad. No idea why.
RSS requires an annoying techy setup, I will never bother with that.
tfw that is your highest download speed because third world country
aifanservicebot is my favorite, but that varies with your region. I get about2MB/s usually.
I live in a 3rd world country and I have good internet, in what shithole do you live
So no? Also flex is not the only way set up RSS feeds. There are several gui options that are just as powerful
>Search on nyaa "subgroup showname resolution -reencoders" click RSS button.
>Paste into RSS plugin, tick autodownload
Wow, so complex and difficult
This would be a godsend if you're on a tracker with ratio restrictions
>still get 5mb/s DL
Is XDCC practical for people with 3rd world internet?
>tfw on a few private trackers and the ratio restrictions are lax
Torrenting fucks my internet up, that's the main reason I prefer XDCC, I can't even load a fucking webpage while utorrent is open.
BRfag here, used to get 500 kb/s with the worst internet on SP but parents dragged me to some shithole, luckily i'm going back to SP saturday.
>Thanks bye bye
>start downloading something that has a few seeders
>almost finish the download than the seeds drop
Well, I'm going to be stuck at 87% of the Gankutsuou soundtrack forever.
I would imaging it has the same practicality everywhere, you just have to find which bot is fastest in your area. Since it just gives you the file directly, without having to worry about peers.
sickbeard is pretty slick too
That looks cool, but like >>101936169, having torrents open slows my internet down, so I'd rather just spend 30 seconds finding the episode on IRC.
sb doesn't do torrents though, it snatches from usenet by default. Of course this means you get to wait a little longer waiting for somebody to upload it to usenet... but that typically happens within 24 hours of the file coming out.
It's rather nice to just fire up xbmc later and have new things to watch without even caring to remember to locate things manually.
as for xdcc, there's a bot on rizon in #ryuumaru that lets you setup auto sends
Wait, so you can get an RSS feed which takes into account your search terms ? Has it been like that for long ?
Is this an anime /g/ thread?
I just started using wmal, it's pretty cool. Though I wish I knew python so I could write some kind of bootleg transmission support for it.
XDCC auto downloads sounds amazing, that would be the absolute best way to download seasonal episodes. Now to figure the shit out.
I have looked everywhere for a torrent of Yu-Gi-Oh Season Zero and can't seem to find it.
It's been like that for a long time. I usually set up feeds for different sub groups through that and then use regex to grab shows from within those feeds so I'm not grabbing too many different feeds every whatever update interval
Just use a packlist of the bot you get highest speeds from e.g. http://nyaanyaa.com/bots/HelloKitty/ also here's a python script for automatic xdcc queuing https://mega.co.nz/#!i04RRbhJ!Ri1ASzjQMTLhK0htuDOmHxNKsOhxPu9z7AB4y5mZ2OM
Figure out how to use it yourself.
Well, I remember trying the RSS feeds of Tokyo Toshokan and Nyaatorrent something like three years ago, and concluding that it wasn't a good solution, because I could miss torrents unless the torrent client was running constantly. I guess I misundestood how it worked at the time.
I wish I've known that before writing my own program to make local RSS feeds from torrents websites and a script to directly open Nyaatorrent from my MAL-clone of choice.
Anyway, thanks for your input, you surely spared me lots of code.
The only way of life.
No way in hell I will ever understand how to use that, thanks for trying though.
>a tripfag is retarded
why am I not surprised?
When I went to school, we didn't have the luxury of having these "computer classes" that you kids have these days.
>i am too stupid to research and teach myself to do things that they didn't teach me in school
There's free fucking online courses to learn Python everywhere nowadays.
>What is google.
Actually for the script I posted all you need to do is put it in the correct folder in Hexchat or whatever client you use that allows python scripts.
I did google it, and the command prompt they gave me didn't do shit, end of caring.
i at least seed to 2.0
but if there's less than 5 seeders i keep the seed alive
>never more than 5 seeders
jesus christ i was sad when mahou shoujo ai had 0 seeders a year later
>mahou shoujo ai
>What's this? A magical girl series I haven't heard of? Well I'll just go ahead and check it ou-
And it sounded so innocent, too.
I normally seed for a bit afterwards.
>Tfw I downloaded something with two seeds
>got on today, no seeds online, I was the only one
>I upped my upload speed to 50 kb/s
>went to work
>come home, 14 seeds
My work is done.
I bet you suck cock, too. Just a little, so it ain't gay.
For seasonal shows I seed to 1.5 or 3 days which ever comes first
Batches always to 1.5 unless I'm feeling sorry for that 1 leacher on a dead torrent. Remember I seed Kanon for some guy few years back over the course of a week at 40 kb/s
The only cock I want is yours, though, so I'm out of luck.
Have any of you gotten a message from your ISP for downloading anime? I got one for Gintama a couple years ago but ever since I switched ISPs a year ago I haven't gotten any.
You can't taste mine until I taste yours!
A-anon! I'm going to shove you deep into my mouth and there's nothing you can do about it.
That a thing?
>not seeding with your phone's mobile data
I've heard Comcast does that all the time, but Time Warner doesn't ever do that, so yeah it depends entirely on your provider.
Yep, licensing companies have bots in torrent swarms for some of their stuff, send an email to the ISP that owns that IP address who then passes it along to you.
That said, I've only ever gotten one and it was for vidya.
