Why can't Japanese kids appreciate the classics?
Every literature club does anything but discuss the use of metaphor in the Tale of Momotaro or the context of Homer's Iliad.
>not knowing Aku No Hana and it's obsession with Renee Decartes

>implying Aku No Hana is good, and doesn't smell like 5 month old summer harbour trash.
>being so plebian that you can't recognize animus that dare to break new ground

吾輩は猫である(Wagahai wa neko dearu) is a classic and will be mentioned in any three-dimensional television show if there is a matter concerning literature.
