ITT your anime quirks
I won't watch any anime that's over 14 episodes long.
Likewise I won't read any manga that's over 5 volumes long.
I won't watch anything that doesn't includes nutbladder-breaking quantities of MOE.
I don't watch anime
but I still post here
For some reason I can't stop buying Galaxy Angel.
I dont watch animu if its less than 1 episode, or read manga that has more than 9000 volumes
I hardly ever watch anime.
I don't watch harem anime.
Girl I like never wins. Also, tsunderes in romance, hate'em with passion.
I only watch or read the good stuff, making a choice after reading many reviews and lurking in a variety of places. Thus, I miss out on a lot of trolling action
I don't watch yuri shows.
I don't watch girl-centric shows.
I hate mech shows.
If I rewatch anime I usually rewatch dubbed version.
I can only watch drama/thriller anime for grown ups, like Monster and Akagi. Not that moe crap.
I only watch/read one series at a time, at least until I'm caught up with it. I can't watch two different anime, or read to different manga, on the same day.
Also, I rewatch/reread my favorites regularly, especially if I've waited long enough to forget things.
I need fanservice in my anime.
I only watch kyoto animation anime
yeah me too
i also like watching shugo chara (cus its for ADULTS)
I only watch the good stuff like Fooly Cooly.
I fit into the "lulz I only like mature seinen titles without fanservice and moeblobs" stereotype. So I hardly watch any anime. I tend to judge a show based on how moeblobish the art style looks.
I cant watch an anime that relies to heavily on fan-service.
I'll watch a few episodes of ANYTHING if I'm told it has a trap.
I try a little of everything, but I stay away from the extremes of the moe end. I have a thing for short shonen, and gaogaigar style FUCK YEAH COURAGE anime.
I generally reject high school drama anime and most Key VN-based anime, as they generally go hand and hand.
HA HA. Fags.
i don't watch dubs
i choose one subber and stick to them, even if they're not the fastest subbers
I'm a sucker for a good romantic plot and I avoid Yuri animes.
You're picky as hell. NHK just released Volume 6 and Genshiken has nine volumes. You're missing out on a lot of anime as well.
I'm willing to download the first episode of a series to see if I like it, but if I see Anonymous brings some attention praising a series like Monster, Kaiji, Bartender, Baccano!, Welcome to the NHK, Giant Robo, BLAME! Detroit Metal City, and Battle Angel Alita, I'm able to get a feel for the kinds of things that I just know are good.
For other series, that is something I'm able to find myself - things like Gurren Lagann, Negima, Death Note, and Higurashi.
I don't fall for shounen crap like Naruto or Bleach, I'm smarter than that. Seinen and western comics are superior.
I will fap to girls of a series that I haven't seen. Have some Hinagiku.
If I've really enjoyed the show I quite often don't watch the last episode.
Even if I don't like an anime, I'll watch it to the end (unless it's over 26 episodes) to get a perspective on what anime I don't like is like.
My first opinion of an anime is based solely on the character design of the main protagonist.
Other than that, I have no drawbacks.
I don't watch that original sauce is a manga, cause manga is superior.
I don't have the attention span for anime. I can at most watch 3 episodes every day (same or different series).
I prefer manga.
I can't stop watching moe shows.
I got way too exited about Shugo Chara.
I have never, and will never watch any generic shonen at all (NaruBleaDragoOnePieInu-whatever)
I have never watched a anime MOVIE per se, save for Paprika and EoE (doesn't really count)
I'm really, really sceptical about shows that run for more than 24 epsiodes.
There is no limit to the time I can rewatch AIR.
I can't stand really violent/manly-stuff, like Berserker, Trigun shit like that. It bores me to tears.
tl;dr I'm a gigantic faggot please rape my face.
I can't watch animu movies. Too long. Well, movies at all.
you're missing out in the movie department.
go watch the girl who leapt through time and 5cm per second
I hated ALL anime until I saw Cowboy Bebop 4 years ago.
Even as a kid I hated all anime.
Granted it was around 5 years ago, I didn't remember Trigun being very violent.
I don't like you
I like to download anime that I know practically nothing about. That way I have no prior expectations or hype to effect my views on it.
You don't deserve to watch it if you can't even get the name right.
Cancer that's killing /a/.
Traps still freak me out a lil' bit.
I only watch anime with moeblobs for grown ups
I avoid Shounen shows, I'm attracted to Moe shows.
How i pick my series is finding a large list, closing my eyes, scrolling up and down and clicking.
I'm overly obsessive about voice actresses and will follow bad shows with good voices in them.
For some reason, anything that involves social class differences/snobbery is an automatic must-watch for me.
I only sage threads.
I pick my anime based on the following criteria:
* Voice actress
* Group subbing the series (i tend to find new shows by looking into other shows subbed by a group I like)
* Who wrote the original work (if it is a VN based anime like Kanon/Clannad or ef)
* What people talk about often in IRC. If it sounds good, I check it out.
* Animation studio
I also tend toward moe, slice-of-life, and drama shows, avoid shonen and generic harem comedy.
Silly child, ANIME IS FOR GUYS.
whenever something fuck awesome happen i'd instinctively raise my arms forward and do that gaijin 4koma pose.
blurt out the word 'NANI??' whenever i hear something surprising.
facepalm IRL when something stupid or beyond comprehension happens.
do the 'Oh You!' hand gesture when i hear smart and witty pick-up lines. or even GAR manly comebacks
and strangely enough, i'm not all that talkative a person but in my own privacy my gestures do a whole lot of talking, and fapping too.
I'll watch any anime all the way through if a character wears a hat like this even once.
I only watched anime back when I was a teenager.
What I'm really into is manga. You see, manga is simply a thing I can get lost in. That's an aspect of my personality that I've had since I was a boy, I like to get lost in things. For example, I would run around in circles imagining video games, or repetitively bounce a basketball for hours while imagining ninjas fighting. So I guess I am just a huge man-child who will never get into anime. Actually, maybe that's something I will do on my deathbed: watch through all the animes you guys recommended, and then make a single post about it on 4chan.
I only watch awful anime.
Something about seeing what I hate keeps me glued to the screen.
After a recent recommendations thread I have both. I just have to get around to watching them.
Having trouble watching 50+ anime series.
Read Manga before watching the anime as i'm doing right now with FLCL and Escaflowne.
Can't watch Lucky Star for some reason or another. (in b4 shitstorm).
I do not differentiate between time period or demographic. I am drawn to shows based on the staff behind them.
If a series has flat-nose art, I can't watch it.
Any anime I watch has to be followed by the complete opposite genre.
I continue to like series if I liked them at first. Even when /a/ is past their love phase and moved onto their hate phase. IE: Haruhi, TTGL
fuck yeah shirakawa
heh, seeing what they did in ep2 of Macross F I will not troll you about the fuck-ups in the nose-department.
In this regard we are each others polar opposite, save for Akagi & Kaiji I like my shows fluffy, emotional and noseless.
I can watch any type of anime, read any type of manga, but i just don't have the motivation until i rapidly have this spurt of energy and i can suddenly marathon whole series in a day... this sucks as it usually happens on days before important days like exams.
I also can't talk about anime anywhere other than here.
wtf is up them and their strength and dexterity
Dude, /a/ isn't all about you and your fascination with tentacles.
