Did /a/ like this?
Wandering Son thread.
It was super boring, but I thought the message was nice.
The ending ruined it.
It´s OK. I agree with the other anon. Nice message for uncommon main theme for a cartoon.
I liked it but both the anime and manga ended too abruptly.
I liked it a lot. Kinda meandered near the end then rushed to an ending, but I really loved the ending. Anime was a pretty solid adaptation.
I thought the ending was perfect. What didn't you like?
I heard it was shit
My favourite romance manga. Great story, believable characters and beautifully drawn.
Are you talking about the manga or the anime?
The manga ending was fantastic. One of the most consequent and satisfying endings I have ever read. The anime ended at a somewhat random point, but I thought it was good, too.
The fact that it is completely rushed? It doesn't help the fact that Chiba is my favourite character. The author threw her to the shitty church boy for no reason pisses me off already, then the author just had to make her blushed to Doi in the last chapter.
What really got me the most is that Aoi hana also ended in the exact same month and it got rushed too. The whole thing pisses me off
Why was it rushed?
Shu and Anna were together for a long time and they were clearly the main pair. Chibas relationship with that church guy was also developed rather slowly.
Taka Tuesday threads were fantastic during the last year of the manga. Non-stop denial and tears, it was lovely.
Anna a cute.
It pretty much ended out of no where
>Chibas relationship with that church guy was also developed rather slowly.
All he did is suck up to her, Chiba agreeing to be his girlfriend seems like she is just pitying him, then we never see the guy again. Chiba's character development and her story pretty much ended at this point. She is an important character and I thought she deserved more attention than that.
Haven't seen it but I love the OP.
He was just very open about his feelings, and while didn't really like him either he definitely had some balls and wasn't especially bad looking either, so I can see why Chiba gave him a chance.
Problem being the author did nothing about it, you can remove the whole stupid confession and nothing changes.
I don't really see your problem. Why does everything that happens has to have some connection to the main story? What's wrong with having some somewhat isolated side plots?
>What's wrong with having some somewhat isolated side plots?
You are spouting nonsense now. This is an isolated side plot and it went no where.
It went to a happy relationship. I just don't see what it is that you wanted it to lead to.
Liked it but the end of the anime was somewhat meh, more than the end of the manga.
I love the manga, but they tried to hard to make the anime have romance where there was none, also the manga ended weird which left me even more sad. This is the one manga that probably touched my emotions more than any other series and they just ended it so awkwardly. You could tell the last 30 chapters really showed the author couldnt decide what she wanted to do with the series but still I wish it had a better ending
I liked that the anime ending was somewhat plain. Far better than the forced drama at the end of most other shows.
>It went to a happy relationship
So like "and they live happily ever after" in fairy tales? The guy didn't even appear once afterward, and she never talks about it, she just blushes here and there. The whole thing is just half ass.
I completely agree with:
>You could tell the last 30 chapters really showed the author couldnt decide what she wanted to do with the series
These last chapters really felt a bit too dragged. But I still think the ending itself was excellent. I always feared that Shu would finally leave Anna for Takatsuki since, you know, in manga the seemingly obvious main pair, in these case clearly Shu X Takatsuki normally ends up together and the relationship between Shu and Anna was more than once pretty awkward. So it was a pleasant surprise for me when these two sticked together.
I guess Aoi Hana had it much worse....
Instead of a nice progression where Akira becomes gay for Fumi, the author just make her jealous of Fumi being with another woman just like that
Well, Chiba became less and less important, since she was only friends with Takatsuki and even she didn't have much to do with Shu anymore. Of course Shimura could've shown more about her relationship with her boyfriend, but it didn't hurt to not do it either. This is simply bound to happen if the MC has a lot of friends he doesn't stay in touch with.
That shit was so damn stupid. And the worst thing was, that Shimura could have easily done a better ending. There was absolutely no need for that timeskip.
She wrapped up her series because some new copyright stuff was going into effect soon so she ended it before they would be affected.
Do you even understand what you just said?
>Chiba became less and less important
Sideline a character with so much presence at the start is just wrong. WRONG.
