Did /a/ like Accel World? Just watched the first episode and thought it was pretty good.
Also, this Yuki girl funny things to my dick.
Accel World thread I guess.
We liked it better than SAO but we like a lot of things more than SAO so that doesn't mean much.
Oh gee, I sure can't wait for someone to mention SAO for no good reason!>>101925159
Yeah, that happens a lot. People can't let do of the fact that the author wrote SAO 8 year prior to writing AW, so they keep connecting them. (Also, there's all the fags who keep wanting the two to be in the same world)
>can't let do
I meant they "can't let go of the fact---"
Hopefully this thread will still be alive when I get from class.
It was meh, needs more Sky Raker.
Enjoyed the novels, characters and world. Enjoyed the anime as well. I like many of the concepts in AW as well as the characterization and growth of the characters. Each person feels a bit more real compared to the author's previous work but I don't have much hope for a second season any more. Novel translation has been slow too.
>Still only have up to Volume 6.5 + 2.5 others
>16 books already out
Better off waiting for Yen Press's Accel World translations.
I watched it but didn't enjoy it because the MC was fat and he didn't get out of being a fat ass, not even in the novels. Then I find out it's from the guy that made SAO and the reason he made this MC was because Kirito was too perfect, holy shit couldn't he fucking learn the first time being extreme in a bad way sucks whichever way you go.
He made the Haruyuki fat "to represent the opposite image of 'acceleration'"
But yeah, Kawahara does love his extremes.
Next he is going to make an extreme balanced/normal person.
I always thought Haru's appearance was related to how he actually saw himself. His measurements and such put him as a bit shorter than Taku.
No it's just how the anime made him he actually looks like that in the novels just not as tiny, but is still a bad design for a fat person.
Is that what you're hoping for Absolute Solitude?
Someone on Baka Tsuki posted a short over-view of the first "chapter" (enough to make up the first book,)
>Basically, in 2009, tiny alien metors fell on earth and there are two types of them. They both give people hit by them special powers based on their hosts. One type, the highest number of the two, give it's host violent and chaotic powers. The other type, in a few numbers, give the host special power without the violent or chaotic control.
>Our main guy is Absolute Solitude's hero, and has the power to reject anything that tries to harm him. The first chapter villain is the Biter, which tries to bite through anything, and loves the crunch of human bones.
Of course, the year will change, when converted into a light novel.
>Year 20XX in the preview.
I watched it early enough in my anime career that I enjoyed it. In hindsight, it was pretty average.
This is from Kawahara?
Absolute Solitude was a web-novel he had on his site (he started writing on it, in about 2004 and continued until 2009, while SAO was from 2002 to 2008)
It's still up there, but he also plans to publish it. First book should come out in June, if he follows his schedule.
No idea what it's about, other than other people who've apparently read it.
I thought it was alright. I liked Porkyuki more than most people.
I am interested to see how he develops this MC in contrast to the other two, but I am used to his technology/mmo/fantasy stuff so I wonder how good his supernatural writing is.
>has the power to reject anything that tries to harm him
So the MC can only be hurt by love?
>Probably the MC on the Preview, who clutching his heart.
I tried to look up the artist, シメジ/Shimeji, (Illustrator is at the bottom left in the Preview,) but I come up with some Asian mushrooms, and I'm guessing that's an alias anyways.
i would tell its my favorite anime without a ending
but berserk exist and higurashi have a ending.
Finally, Kawahara can write all the NTR stories he wants!
how can any one dislike this face
I want to watch Accel shit for this dfc
but I can`t fucking stand the mc pig mofo
Oh, and apparently the PoV of Absolute Solitude switches regularly between the Hero and Villain.
Because it makes me think he's going to trick me into eating my own parents.
but he is like the human version of gekotas
I wonder who the villain is.
For some reason, I'm actually optimistic that this is going to be pretty good, even if the girl in the school uniform gives me pause. Is it going to be superpowers-in-highschool?
The scarf is pretty bitchin'.
Here's the text from the preview, that someone posted...
>絶対ナル孤独(仮) 第一章 咀嚼者-The Biter-
>The power of "Solitude"
Also, MC is a 17 year old, named "Utsugi Minoru".
Oh Kawahara. That's "The Lonely Beater"-tier.
Yuki best dfc
>The power of "Solitude"
Shit damn is this like a minus power from medaka box?
>Not an MMO
There better be a kendo practitioner suffering. Third time's the charm.
LN or anime?
I assume the LNs are better, but they aren't fully translated yet
Spoiler for volume 16 yet?
Novel of the Year?
>Our main guy is Absolute Solitude's hero, and has the power to reject anything that tries to harm him.
Gagamaru's Encounter, huh. We Medaka Box now.
I enjoyed all of it, got me to read the LN's
would like a S2 just to see V5 animated
