Name a hated anime or manga that you like and the honest reason why.
If I make people feel worse than I won't be the least happy person any more.
I hate all anime, I'm only here because I just finished up all my homework and have nothing to do.
Othinus actually smells very bad.
What if making people bad for liking things that make them happy makes me happy but I feel bad when someone posts an image macro pointing this out?
All is fair in anime and manga.
You mean no one should stop serial killers because they like killing people and it makes them happy?
Your logic is shit.
Most serial killers are mentally disturbed and killing because they like it.
I think people should be using the word "adaptation" more often instead of "adaption". Also, "would of" and "should of" faggots should stop doing that.
I enjoy otome anime as a guilty pleasure, in the same way people still watch harem and moe despite knowing they're shit.
I can't into fujoshi though.
i can't stand klk
did i do it right?
What do you think that means?
you're a fag.
i bet you don't like yuri
Not a show per say but I like using Crunchyroll.
Fujoshi = Yaoi
Otome = Reverse harem
How do people not understand this by now?
It's like the difference between haremfags and yurifags.
Vividred Operation is the shittiest anime ever made which tries to use cute young girl butts to generate sales because the friendship defeats everything story is awful.
no you retard. fujoshi refers to mostly the crowd, female otaku
you can say "fujoshi anime" or "fujoshi manga" but the way you used it was wrong.
quads for truth
It refers to female otaku who are fans of a certain genre and that genre is yaoi.
fujoshi = yaoi fans
Well, I like Pupa the Animation, however, I like it because it's fascinatingly terrible and unintentionally hilarious.
Not him but you are the one that's wrong. Even worse you're calling someone else retarded with your own misconception. Either this is bait or you're a top tier faggot.
I might agree with you, but I'm still going to fap to them.
Yuuko a shit and worst Tasogare.
Okonogi a best and total wife material.
stop making me feel bad about making other feel bad
I enjoyed watching it when it was airing but I can't really argue. The characters were one dimensional, almost all the fights were trite as fuck with a predictable 'gattai, instant kill enemy' ending, etc
I hate Gilgamesh. I think he's a faggot.
Mononoke is shit
Jinrui is shit
NGE is shit
Tatami Galaxy is shit
Kyousougiga is shit
Welcome to NHK is shit
NNB is shit
Cromartie is shit
Yuyushiki is shit
Zetsubou sensei is meh
Love Lab is good
Kaibutsu-kun is good
Gargantia is good
Another is good
Guilty Crown is good
Haganai is good
Clannad AS is only good
Valvrave is great
Kyoukai no Kanata is great
SnK is great
Geass is amazing
Chu2 is a masterpiece
inb4 bait image macro
You have the weirdest fucking opinions.
We should dissect your brain for science.
It's not bait, you are just showing how much of a shit taste you have, no problem with that.
I think Afro Samurai is amazing. Like really. It's stupidly entertainingly badly interesting. I think if it was made by Gainax/Trigger everyone would love it.
How's that shit taste?
If you like things I don't like you're also mentally disturbed.
I essentially like almost every manga this board hates. I read the big three every week (non-ironically) and also watch their anime.
I'm a native English speaker so while I don't mind watching subs, I get the most out of an anime when it's dubbed. Honestly I never thought to look down on dubs or to be elitist about the anime I watched until I started going on various forums and being bombarded with everyone's opinions. It almost got to me at one point, but I decided I'm a grown ass man and I like what I want to like. I rarely ever talk about it here though, for obvious reasons.
A very disgusting attitude, but very appropriate mindset for denizens of /a/ and reddit. Good show.
Fujoshi (rotten woman) are girls that like yaoi.
There's no saving you.
I was so disappointed with the dub. They made such a big deal about it being collaborative with Wu-Tang and Samuel L. Jackson that I thought I would be more like the Boondocks, but they were way too cheesy.
Nichijou will never have a second season whilst EoE has a sequel.
They are both wrong, but at least the one you answered to was a little closer than >>101909948.
It's not bad but I look at that original takeshi koike trailer and I get sad thinking about how is could have possibly been GOAT.
You're good people.
Get off the internet with your shit taste Cody. It's understandable you only enjoy entry level shit but you don't need to upset everyone else.
fujoshi are basically BL otakus.
i don't see how i'm wrong.
well, not really at least
I hate /a/ and think that it's generally a bad place to discuss things.
yet it's 6 in the morning and I'm still on here
You didn't mention the BL bit. That's kind of an important part of their characterization.
>yet it's 6 in the morning and I'm still on here
Now what am I supposed to say. It's 2014 and I'm still on here.
Uh, the point of the thread is not to post the same exact opinion and situation as everyone else here.
>Kyoukai no Kanata is great
>Chu2 is a masterpiece
I thoroughly enjoy all the girls with guns renditions in anime. I like seeing empowered, but not de-sexualized, female characters, who aren't tethered to an empty mc, go on adventures, battle and have romantic undertones with each other.
I'm not even being remotely feminist about it. At least not in the modern sense of the word.
>Name a hated anime or manga that you like and the honest reason why.
Meganebu! Because I found it genuinely funny, and the boys, while not Nichibros-tier, were endearing in their own crazy ways (except Mitsuki). The art was great, and the songs catchy.
Also, it could shift to sad, touching moments without turning into shitty melodrama.
I love Chu2, ESPECIALLY the second part of it. It has a lot of healing potential, great music, great MC, great romance and a nice message behind itself. The only thing that bothers me about the whole franchise is episode 4 of Ren.
I really liked SOA (not a die hard fanboy), but I understand why people don't like it.
>Reasons: I love MMO's and it's always an unreachable goal of mine to be unrealistically better than everyone in the game, so it was fun to watch. Although it was full of but-pulls and farfetched things, I generally don't care to much about them because it was entertaining to me overall.
I also really like Elfen Lied.
>Reasons: Nyu is adorable and all the characters are likeable except for Yuka. The story was good IMO and it was sad which I liked. The mindless bloodshed/nudity kept me very entertained as well.
I loved both seasons of Black Lagoon.
>Reasons: The action was amazing. I don't always need some deeper meanings or thought provoking story lines. It was just bad-ass overall. Also, Revy is my waifu.
I HATED Steins;Gate.
>Reasons: I could only make it to episode 7 because I was afraid I would die of boredom. The characters weren't charming at all to me. The MC was an unfunny idiot who did nothing but annoy me. The dialogue was mediocre at best but was too boring to care about. After hearing that it doesn't pick up until episode 13 I decided it wasn't worth it.
I didn't like Gurren Lagaan.
>Reasons: Simone is a faggot. The whole show is expected to be carried on Kamina's shoulders, but I didn't like his character enough to continue.
I couldn't watch Code Geass
>Reasons: I just dislike the Mecha genre overall, but the first few episodes of this were exceptionally boring to me. Nothing but mindless mecha action (I don't know why I dislike mecha action, I just do), and a story that just seemed stupid to me.
Other Unpopular Opinions:
>Most of my favorite anime are entry-level (they're popular for a reason).
>Mecha and Sports genres suck
>Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, and Hellsing should always be watched in English dub even if you're Japanese.
>If you've played a visual novel/read the manga of an anime you're opinions on the show are usually biased and should be discarded.
The story was perfect, the female characters were just amazing, and I just really enjoyed it overall.
Also, it being a harem/fanservice/ecchi anime doesn't change anything except for making it fappable as ever
InuYasha. I know, entry level. But the usage of old-fashioned Japanese mythlogy and fairytales' monsters in the first part of the series grew on me.
I respect you, even though our opinions are 180degrees different.
That's because you're actually cool about it and enjoy things.
What I hate is when people play critics and call anime they enjoyed bad while praising things they hardly give a fuck about because of their supposedly 'objective qualities'.
Oh and also, Gurren Lagann wasn't all that good. Simon should've ended up banging Yoko.
Oh and also, Gurren Lagann wasn't all that good. Simon should've ended up banging Yoko - if not Kamina should've died at least at the end of the first half or not even at all.
I unironically enjoy Samurai Flamenco.
I absolutely love anime with cute boys and that's not gay.
>>If you've played a visual novel/read the manga of an anime you're opinions on the show are usually biased and should be discarded.
Kind of true
I hate it when people trash an amazing anime for the sole reason of not following the manga's storyline perfectly. They usually have nothing bad to say about it other than the fact that it's "different" from the original. Fanboys need to stop that bullshit and enjoy anime at face value.
thank you kind sir, I respect your opinions as well.
Latest episode made me think, "Hot damn, I'm so glad I picked up this show"
But it is, you faggot.
This could be the mantra for all of /a/
Your taste is the epitome of shit, but I appreciate you not making the rest of us suffer it.
I think most people on /a/ liked this one shitty anime in my opinion just to feel different
I like Guilty Crown because I don't have any problems with the story and found all the girls to be likable.
Wait... maybe /a/ is actually full of nice people, they just pretend to be assholes to fit in, while the original asshole community left long ago, so it's just nice people pretending to be assholes to each other now?
I like Naruto because Sasuke
Sword Art Online
>the concept of adventuring the world
>the food and cooking
Kill la Kill
But Hare a best and you know it.
Your awful opinions should be studied so we can prevent anyone from ever being so wrong ever again
I think anime like Kill la Kill is why the concept of anime should exist. It literally cannot be done in any other format, and it's a valuable experience of a kind. Same for Gurren Lagann, Panty&Stockings, and so on.
Anime like Evangelion is literally indistinguishable from live action. Especially in today's age of Pacific Rim type production quality (graphcs-wise). There's a reason why almost all romcom has a live adaptation, or could have, with little to no loss of experience if the actors are good. Hell, even the Death Note movie was great.
And I'm not saying that these shows should not be anime, or than the shows I mentioned are "objectively better", but I think it's important to be aware of actual qualities of the media format that makes it able to present shows that can be done in no other format. Lots of people hate these shows but I think without them anime would eventually... I don't even know. But every media format is different. I think anime does these things great.
I have never enjoyed more than a few episodes of any SoL. If there isn't conflict of some sort I don't enjoy it. Also, novelty is king (not sure if that's unpopular or not), "psychological" stuff tends to be the most novel, fightan stuff tends to be reused.
I have never enjoyed any episodes of any SoL.
I have never enjoyed any episodes of any anime.
I really loved Dog & Scissors, especially Natsuno Kirihime, I had a good fucking laugh all the way through.
Yes, I know it is in fact mediocre at best
I really like the idea of the COURAGE PUNCH ending. It carries a certain weight to it how evil is vanquished with a brave girl's fist.
Kill yourself all the back back to fucking reddit where you came from, nobody here cares about your whiney asshurt social justice bullshit
But it was actually great if you turned your brain off and disregarded the plot.
complete fucking shit
Well that's exactly what I did for the first watch.
Second watch... uh, not so much.
I love Sword Art Online, Shingeki No Kyojin, and the Legend of the Legendary heroes, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Toradora was really terrible.
I don't know how it gets rated so highly be multiple communities. I like to think I'm being trolled when people say that it's really good.
Well I really enjoyed K-on season one.
Different anon here, but what does BL stand for? I've never known.
Legend of the Legendary Heroes is hated? I haven't seen it but I've heard decent things about it.
Normally the anime butchers the original work in such a way it doesn't seems that it was written by the same person.
Kino no Tabi is fucking boring, pretentious trash with little to no redeemable qualities. The writing is so fucking simplistic and shallow yet everybody praises it.
I actually think Shingeki no Kyojin was possibly the best mainstream animu I've seen in years.
Because it's times better than S2.
You don't really get the point of this thread, do you?
I'm just doing the inverse.
The point of the thread is that your kind of post is the norm on /a/. OP was trying to spread some positivity around and you just took a shit in the middle of it. Now someone has to clean that up.
It shouldn't matter though. Instead of comparing it to the original, it should be judged by it's own merits as an individual show. Which is why people shouldn't review an anime if they've played the VN or read the manga. You become attached to the original story and can't enjoy a different version of it even if it's good.
/a/ in a nutshell.
I don't compare tastes or opinions, because that is the epitome of stupid. There are enough people like you making people suffer with your opinion, so thanks for picking up the slack.
I can agree with that.
I thought Kaichou wa maid-sama was good. Probably also the only person that watched it
I don't care about Madoka
I hated Inferno Cop
