My god how I love this show after seeing it.
Season 3 when?
>Horizon in the name field
S3 never, as punishment.
If you want a thread, you should put Horizon in the Subject field, not Name.
The unofficial catalog picks it up anyway.
If my understanding is correct, that's only now they've said 'Horizon' in a post. This post should cause the Kawakami filter to pick this thread up, too.
>Season 3 when?
I'm so tired to just believe.
I want seijun to be my prince and save me when I'm in a dai pinchi
Hopefully never shit was boring
This must be a bait.
That meme is getting surprisingly popular.
Japan always latches onto the strangest memes.
Reposting 7A pictures from baidu.
Greatest love story ever told.
And the last one.
>LNs in English never
>Season 3 never
Being Horizon is suffering
Js06 is translating them.
>LNs in English never
But we have a translation ongoing.
When did this happen? Last I remember some guy was machine translating a sentence a week.
In summer. Back in June, js06 began translating Owari no Chronicle, he loved it, he tried reading Horizon and he loved it too, so he started to translate Horizon too.
When was that? I remember Nanodesu in eternal hiatus and 3A first translator and his odd english.
bahahaha kawakami pls
Yearly 26-epsiode series when?
We had a fuckhuge snowstorm today, so I can kinda relate to all the people finding the dude both hilarious and cringe-worthy.
How did S2 sell btw? Is their even a chance of a Horizon III?
Who DEATH here?
Go to just-believe.in - BD Sales reports
Cheers. Fucking Sunrise.
Sunrise won't make S3 even though S2 sold shit loads.
;-; Fuck you Studio 8.
Usually, the one to blame is Dengeki not the studio, as Dengeki is the one who green-lits it.
They'll do it, just believe
>Usually, the one to blame is Dengeki not the studio, as Dengeki is the one who green-lits it.
though their eyes is now SAO
when's that Dengeki festival when they make a bunch of announcements?
Horizon gets Phos Kenodoxia and Phos Hyperēphania for Terumoto.
Really? It was the time for it.
In a previous thread it was said these are Nagaoka Tadaoki, Nabeshima Naoshige and Asano Yoshinaga.
>tfw Horizon S3 is going to happen alonside Sailor Moon, YrYu S3, Sakura Trick S2 and Stardust Crusaders.
I'm going to end myself the moment such Godly season ends.
In a previous thread it was said these >>101905295 >>101905409 are Nagaoka Tadaoki, Nabeshima Naoshige and Asano Yoshinaga.
But that's not gonna happen.
Wow, that dude is a beast.
He is translating Color Wars, Owari no Chronicle and Horizon at the same time.
Her eyes seem off.
Js06 is doing Horizon 2-a and 2-b?
So i assume then that we are going to have those finished before 1-b.
And everything Kamachi under the sun.
He is doing 2A and 3A at the same time.
Q-Translator anon is doing 1B, but he is pretty busy lately.
I don't see it.
Based as fuck, i hope he gets in translatorlust with some obscure stuff next.
Yes, but those are when they are released.
Well, he is doing Owari too, and that will never get anime (for some reason nobody knows).
>for some reason nobody knows
Because it's finished a long time ago and there's little point in advertising the LNs now.
Shit, I want those characters for import
Yes, probably because Kawakami finished the whole thing in just two years. That man is insane.
I <3 Masazumi.
Some SPEER skinship.
The best kind of skinship.
The SPEERs doing lewd things.
Where can the Horizon Novels be read?
In Baka-Tsuki, but only 1A is finished and unedited, js06 is working in 2A and 3A.
Are you reading it?
Any pdf of the first volume?
You should wait a bit, as Nackbjorn is still editing the middle chapters, as those are still a bit odd.
Download the epub
Sooo I should wait or should I just read the engrish version.
I think the best is to wait for the editing to be finished and a new ePUB to be made. Then you can convert the ePUB to PDF.
Alright. Waiting is my speciality.
He edited Chapter 08 the other day, I think that the last oddly translated one is Chapter 10 or 11.
Sorry one last question. This is my first time with this kind of stuff. I'm used to looking for manga but not so much LNs.
Do I get the ePub from Baka-Tsuki?
There is an ePUB in Baka-Tsuki yes, but unedited.
Is the edited one being posted up there too?
I'm willing to wait.
Sorry for the all the questions.
How many they have?
The edited one will be put there yes. If you follow these threads then you will notice when.
Thanks again also sorry for all the questions.
Ok, I'm currently on episode 5 and I have no fucking idea on what's going on, but I'm loving it.
Pic related is my favorite, will she get more screentime?
Nate is fairly important yeah. Still, all of them do shit when it comes to it.
She gets to be all heroic 'n' shit near the end of S1, and she's still fairly important in S2.
And she's very important in S3 just believe.
Yes. She's a dirty whore though.
That's from one of the prequel novels.
She is a bully.
I've got a quit question.
Does Masazumi ever get rich enough not to be hungry?
No, that's from 5B.
Nope. She'll be binbou forever.
>I have no fucking idea on what's going on
If you're willing to learn, visit just-believe.in.
Her hunger was mostly due to not having a proper contract, was it not?
If so, that should be fixed after S2.
>first time with this kind of stuff
>I don't know how long these books are
This picture is out of date.
It also includes Owari no Chronicle.
>I have no idea what´s going on, but I´m loving it
Yup, that´s the horizon experience.
I can't really agree to that.
Middle left- Owari
Middle right- Horizon
If theres a better version of this post it.
Talking about doubts, I have two questions:
a) Why the Testament asked to organize the countries around student councils and that stuff?
b) Why are all reacting the History, just by boredom or because the Testament also ordered them to do it or what?
btw, I already looked for the answers in just-believe.in.
>She's a dirty whore though.
What? But she looks like a pure maiden so far.
Shit, when it aired it was rather hard to follow. You had quite the chance to forget some politics between each episode, and there was shitloads of politcs. It became even worse when you happened to roll with hadena for episode 1+2, which didn´t make any sense at all.
When rewatching it it was actually completely understandable, but they do pull of quite the infodumps in each episode.
>b) Why are all reacting the History, just by boredom or because the Testament also ordered them to do it or what?
Did you even watch the first episode.
>the Testament asked to organize the countries around student councils
No, the other countries are "bending the rules" so to say, in order to punish the Far East, as they were seen as guilty for the Harmonic Unification War.
That's why they are the only country to have an age limit for their academy.
Less students = smaller army = less political power = more power for the other countries
Like a year ago, maybe I should watch it again.
Hopefully fucking never
But it's not harem, it's actually OTP as fuck.
Anyway, why they use academies to rule the countries?
Don't respond to it.
Didn't you hear the news?
What? "New anime project green-lit" is not a third season?
Picked the fuck up
Noooooo, I want happiness of my Masazumi.
And the internet has bearily scratched the surface of this. I really wish my level of moon wasn't level zero.
I think every volume is for each guy picking a girl up
I want to see the one where the dragon gets the waifu
>Why the Testament asked to organize the countries around student councils and that stuff?
That was not the Testament, that was the other countries using loop-hole of the Testament to control the Far East, as in real history the european countries never took absolute control over the Far East. Long story short, they looked for a way to punish them for the Harmonic Unification War, so they set up the Academy system to control them, under the pretense of "peace and stability granted through knowledge". Academies now act as the center of political, judiciary and military powers and institutions with indefinite school enrollments because they aim to carry out long-term human resources development.
>b) Why are all reacting the History, just by boredom or because the Testament also ordered them to do it or what?
I will repost this.
Well, in the War of the Gods, they fucked the universe so hard that they destroyed the heaven, hell and even fate itself. So the human race was just fucked. That was proven further as once they got back to Earth, they almost destroyed each other halving human population in just two weeks.
Using the remaining knowledge they had, they used the leyline that shaped fate and linked it to the human history records, creating the Testament. That way. humanity can reach again its previous state. Also, as they have turned history itself into cards of negotation, they can avoid humanity fucking itself.
That until the Testament stops updating and the Apocalypse draws near.
Not necessarily, it can also mean an OVA or movie.
Is Horizon's MC alpha?
I was going to pick this up but I googled his face and he looks so silly for an action show
Does he kill people?
What if I want the girls to get husbandos too?
And what a waifu! And how! Honestly, horizon girls are elder-god tier. Especially ones in OTP.
Even the villains are OTP.
If you can't handle silliness, Kawakami is not for you.
Not really, he is like the king in chess, kind of useless but makes everything work. This is why Horizon is an ensemble cast, the whole class gets to do stuff and they have a very strong sense of camaraderie.
They'll get it don't worry
Also, there is a reason why only the Japan territory is inhabitable?
Is the rest of the Earth under the sea or the wars fucked the continents too?
Will the fattie get a girl too in the future novels?
>tfw the slime and the naked dude are always the most important
>like the king in chess, kind of useless but makes everything work
I'll probably write that down.
This show is fucking shit.
You have the right to have you're own opinion.
That opinion is wrong though.
>Also, there is a reason why only the Japan territory is inhabitable?
>Is the rest of the Earth under the sea or the wars fucked the continents too?
When humanity ascended to the heavens, they obviously left out Earth. They set up "environmental gods" (pretty much implied to be some kind of machines) to control the environment for a possible return by using the leylines. These resided under the Japanese archipelago as it was the best place to influence the world leylines (as seen in Owari no Chronicle), so the first place they restored was the japanese islands. But then they went berserk and the rest of the world was over-restored to the point of making it uninhabitable.
>Will the fattie get a girl too in the future novels?
The lolicon? He has his mouse.
>Will the fattie get a girl too in the future novels?
I think that's a bit harder. The last one to get one was Noriki.
So the rest of the world is like the Amazons or the African jungle?
Probably far worse, it is implied that it's seriously fucked to the point that it's impossible to survive there.
Think of silicon-based creatures (confirmed to live in Shikoku - Australia) and stuff like that.
If you want a Kawakami work with a MC like that, read Owari no Chronicle.
But Sayama is basically Toori if Toori was a psychopath.
And a Übermensch.
Oh and also a bisexual molester.
Sayama is an evil genius, Toori is average on everything.
But yeah, he is really silly and awesome.
>Toori is average on everything.
Nigga he's got CHR through the roof.
And that difference really only manifests in their positions, Toori being a leader and Sayama being a negotiator.
They are actually almost opposite on everything but the perverted mind.
Well, Sayama is a leader too, is just that he is also a fighter and negotiator. Also, even if Sayama is a pretty good fighter, Izumo is better than him in that.
Still, they are quite different, their common points are actually pretty superficial.
He is just Shinjousexual, other beings are totally irrelevant to him in a sexual way.
His authority feels weaker than Toori's though. Izumo and Kazami seem to hold almost as much sway in decisions regarding the Leviathan Road as he does, and the Ooshiro's are always silently supervising things.
Shut up I just want to argue.
Well, it's not that Toori authority is big, he is more a morality figure or some kind of idol. The other officers and student council members seem to have more power on decisions than him (as he is always relying on them to do everything)
Although he doesn't make all that many decisions, he's still the one who gets the last word. If he vehemently disagrees with something the rest of the class proposes, they aren't going to go through with it. That's what a leader is to me.
Well, Sayama is the one with the last word on the Leviathan Road too.
Where did you got that?
I just uploaded a new Horizon 2-A chapter:
Sayama does have almost the exact same speech pattern as Mitsurugi.
Some people aren't poorfags and can afford to buy the manga for themselves.
Left: Rensha Ou
Middle Left: Owari
Middle Right: Horizon
Right: City Series
It's actually a non-h doujin.
You're a blessing.
>Some people aren't poorfags and can afford to buy nice things for themselves.
I think it's time I started reading.
That's an understatement.
Only 5 more chapters and 2A is finished.
You are something else.
Then you realize 2B is the mammoth of the series at 1100 pages.
>Sayama does have almost the exact same speech pattern as Mitsurugi.
Well, they kinda have a similar design. Well, unlike Edgeworth, Sayama is a sociopath.
Damn you Kawakami, why give us the final boss this early?
Who ever said anything about a final boss?
>“Wheat is fine, but I think you can grow some even better crops. Growing rice as they do elsewhere would be perfect, but England has no provisional rule over Far Eastern land and setting up paddies takes a lot of work.”
>“Judge. We couldn’t do that even if we wanted to. It requires altering the land on too large a scale.”
>Scarred wished they could talk about other things, but time continued on and she could not think of anything to talk about.
>“I am sure you have noticed, but England’s crust is almost directly below the ground, so growing wheat quickly leaves the land barren. That is why we need to grow other crops like legumes to bring back the land’s fertility. The practice of growing legumes like clovers to improve the land has been spreading to various areas, but it isn’t quite enough. The spirits like to play around and assist the improvement when they find a four-leafed clover, though. It would be nice if we could grow potatoes which can grow even in land with low fertility, but there is that story about the Fairy Queen saying potatoes are poisonous. That is why IZUMO has been working on breeding a poisonous potato for killing rats. They are calling it the Potato Smasher.”
>“I heard they tried to create one that exploded five seconds after being pulled from the ground, but the project was scrapped after the experimental field was destroyed by a chain reaction of explosions. If only the troubles we cause other nations could remain more subdued. For one thing, that isn’t even about poison anymore. At any rate, it seems the Fairy Queen’s rule is not all good.”
>“Oh, my. Saying that kind of thing around here can get you arrested for treason.”
>“Judge. My apologies.”
Kawakami dialogue at its finest.
Binding books becomes more difficult after a certain amount of pages.
At least this is the case for the cheap paperback dengeki LNs
>dengeki refuses to print a 2000 page light novel due to binding restrictions
>kawakami invents a new method of book binding that allows it
There are methods, but they're simply not economically feasible.
One theme in my set is go fast or GO FASTER
>The wooden building had the tall roof common to warehouses and it was filled with people. The convention inside was known as the “Incomparably Esteemed Doujinshi-Lovers Club” which the signs abbreviated to “IncEst Club”. This abbreviation concerned some people, did not bother some others in the slightest, and caused a few to accuse the convention runners of false advertising.
The GENESIS are sure is a silly time.
It's a work in progress so please don't yell at me about balance
You would love to live on it.
Top-down design is the best method for designing a set.
In 2B they explain why she is "Thomas" Shakespeare? The wiki says something about the number 14 as Neshinbara's 13, but I don't see how Thomas turns into 14.
What do we know about Noriki's waifu?
As I recall, she's Gilgamesh.
She's can get rather brutal to people who have a thing against her.
That's only because she kinda have a sword rain.
I guess I should start reading Horizon. Thank you for the upload.
Houjou Ujinao, chancellor of the Odawara Academy of the Indian Allied Nations. Noriki's childhood friend and a demonic elf with an automaton body.
>with an automaton body.
Does this mean she can strap on a dragon dildo?
>Doesn't have Super haste or at least, first strike, because it can deals damage faster than its opponent.
Are you aware that you can transform her AFTER declaring attackers, making the first line in the second Asama useless?
My fetish is being violated by big strong women
Anyone can strap on a dragon dildo, she can install it.
>Whenever Futayo Honda blocks or becomes blocked by a creature, Futayo Honda deals X damage to that creature, where X is the number of speed counters on Futayo Honda.
That hits before first strike. Super haste is a silver-border ability.
Oh, you're right.
The super haste was just a joke, but the first strike was because it was more fitting.
btw, you can make sme ability related to the Tonboki attack from Futayo and her father.
Also, what would do Tori, as anything related to infinite mana is broken as shit? Maybe returning auras or sorceries/instants to the hand at end of turn?
Thomas apparently means 14, but Kawakami never bothers explaining how.
The "To" can mean 10 just like Neshinbara's "Tou", but I'm not entirely sure how "masu" means 4.
Masu can refer to a square or box, but that's a fairly tenuous connection to the number 4.
i love how sexy the crotches are in the skintight bodysuits
I've been rewatching the first season. Who are these guys?
What does it feel like to have your crotch rubbed through a skintight bodysuit?
Satomi clan. Related to v3.
If I remember correctly they are important in S3.
Yes, that's what the wiki said. I suppose the more logical way to explain it is as you said, "masu" meaning square.
Yoshiyori and Yoshiyasu surely are. Sunrise added them to that scene (and Yoshiyori reaction to what Toori said) because that will be pretty important later.
>Also, what would do Tori, as anything related to infinite mana is broken as shit?
What is balance who even knows
Why do Jap to Eng translations take so long?
Is it because the translators aren't actually very fluent in Japanese?
I'm sure many people here are bilingual, and you can imagine yourself translating much faster than people in the scene do from whatever non-English language you speak.
It's not like light novel is poetry or philosophy where you have to pay attention to the author's intent or syntax or preserve the verse and rhyme.
I don't know why translators don't just churn work out at a much faster pace.
Wasn't the non-creature destruction a green thing?
Also, you cannot attack and activate the second Asama ability in the same turn, as she's already tapped and paying 4URR is already a lot of mana to paying an aditional 2UR.
I would write, "Other creature you control get" as he's skinny as fuck. Also, you sure he cannot be a Nephilim-wannabe with 4 colored mana (without black)?
Asking just for EDH, as it should be a commander for all the other Ariadust characters? (Maybe penta if you're the same guy that did the Malga & Margot W/B).
If you put him more colors, you could try a single X in his mana cost.
js06 is pretty fast, he just finished what was left of 1A and decided to follow from 2A (because 1B was already being translated) and is translating more stuff like Color Wars and Owari no Chronicle.
"Other creatures you control get"
Japanese is kinda hard to translate to english, and there is always authors more harder than others.
For myself, translating would probably take five times as long as just reading and it would still require editing afterward.
It's not something you just decide to do as you read, you really need to commit to.
posting some short scans from C85
Now that I started knowing about Horizon, I regret not buying one of the sleeves that were on amiami not so long ago...
I'm not sure if this is because there was another famous poet/writer named Thomas during that era or...
> Sir Thomas William Shakespeare, 3rd Baronet (born 11 May 1966)
This is very much like Ben Jonson's case:
Which is why he's both a poet and an athlete in the Genesis era.
Ben Jonson is clearly a joke. The same with the Valdes brothers.
But the "Thomas" is actually said to be 14 in the text it seems, we just don't know how.
>Ben Jonson is clearly a joke.
Or just yet another of Testament's misinterpretations.
Oh god, stop with that, the Testament is actually quite exact, it's said in the novel and actually proven a lot of times. The whole thing with it being inexact is a joke.
The only reason it ends that ways is because the Testament Union actually lets "interpretation" to be a rather big part of the whole system.
The Testament is linked with Fate itself, so it is actually a very good source to human history.
From what I know the Testament itself is actually fragmented on the details, the problem is the ones reading it.
>The whole thing with it being inexact is a joke.
>Testament Union actually lets "interpretation" to be a rather big part of the whole system.
Like warring with baseball and other sports?
That's an interpretation. The same they have mechas and ether ships. They are not even trying it to follow it 1:1 as that would be stupid and pointless, the same as back in the old days the bible was only interpreted in ways that benefited the ones who interpreted it.
You are not getting it, that wasn't in the Testament, they just "interpreted it consciously" that way.
That was probably because Tres Spaniards loved sports so they made their main academy focused on it.
Sports matches even now are quite frequently referred to as battles, assume they looked back on this several thousand years in the future and took it seriously.
Or like with everything, you can make abilities from it so they went "why not?"
We don't even now if they lost the records about sports, but probably not given they even know about eroge. They are actually recreating history yeah, but from a future viewpoint.
Same reason why you will never see Hoshi no Samidare animated.
It's so sad that OnC won't get an anime.
I want to see an anime adaptation of Sayama pulling a shotgun and submachine gun from beneath his suit to (almost) singlehandedly fight a group of armed maid automatons.
Even worse than Kamachi, the author of To aru?
This world is a terrible place.
Hahahaha, fucking Sayama, he is getting even better each volume.
When asked for an outline, Kawakami sent in 600 pages.
He also made his editor quit recently.
Both are insane, Kamachi do a lot of stuff at the same time, Kawakami pulls LNs with 1100 pages.
Hah, poor guy.
Is calling his work LN correct? It has nothing of Light on it.
Kamachi is a computer program, Kawakami is an automaton.
How is 3rd Gear going?
That Yakuza education.
>He also made his editor quit recently.
When was that?
I think he made him cry, not quit.
The crying was when he showed up with the 600 page outline, not recently.
Unless he has been doing other things to make him cry.
Maybe he just mixed our jokes about Kawakami ruining the lifes of countless editors with that.
Kawakami is definitely worse, but Kamachi is pretty insane too.
Lots of fun so far. Kawakami's automatons are always great.
He mentioned making both his editor and Bandai Visual cry when he wrote entire novels for the BD specials.
That's Greek mythology but with robots? How Ryuuji and Mikage fit in what you read?
Tenzou = Dengeki asking Studio 8 to make more Horizon
Kobold = Sunrise
I think you got the thing the other way around.
That's braided Nate?
Who's this loli?
I read somewhere she's from China, but nothing more.
She is Satomi Yoshiyasu, from the Satomi clan who represents the Korean Peninsula in world history. She is an elf.
She's someone's waifu? Is related to anyone? Anything interesting?
From 3C onwards she is a member of Musashi and Adele's friend after the Satomi clan was destroyed and Satomi Yoshiyori died protecting everyone in Musashi from M.H.R.R. Azuchi Quasi-Bahamut ship.
The China loli is the best girl. Too bad she... ;_;
Well, as far I know the scene ends abruptly even before you get to know what happens to her, so technically she is MIA. Same with Innocentius and Galileo.
Jesus christ, this guy's a machine.
Who is the best character and why is it Kimi
But all Horizons are best Horizons, newfriend.
All Horizons are best Horizon.
I'm still not clear on what was up with the boy when they went walking around England.
>try to choose a horizoin waifu
>they're either too pure or already OTP'd
Grace O'Malley for instance, has I think eight children.
>tfw no season 3 where Nate fights her mom
>tfw no season 4 where Ulqui gives disabled girls the dragon d
Now that I remember...
Why Nate had to fight her mom in the third novel?
1. Nate had promised not to come back. Then she came back.
2. France and Musashi were fighting at the time.
BETA masters live in the Horizonverse?
What about Toori becoming "Boin~" and being fine with that?
That was why she broke her promise.
Speaking of Nate's parents, where's the pic of them together?
>I'm still not clear on what was up with the boy when they went walking around England.
He was basically asking to show her around the festival himself.
Kimi of course, wouldn't accept that, but she couldn't turn him away empty handed since he had the balls to ask her out, in public no less. So that is why she gave him one of her ribbons.
Seriously the no name normalfags in this show are just as fun and great as the cast
I'm assuming you are referring to this illustration.
That's Masazumi you mean. She is the best.
A thread that lasted the (Euro) night?
That's been a while.
It's not like finished things haven't gotten animated before.
that kid is nate's dad?
Of course. How else could Nate only get a washboard for a chest while Turenne has breasts the size of watermelons?
Yes, I know about the ether absorption thing, learn to take a joke, autists.
>learn to take a joke, autists.
Learn to make one, retard.
Can't wait for the finale, with all the missing/spirited away people returning to fight in the last battle.
You know, I've been wondering. Is that really Kawakami having dressed up or someone cosplaying as Kawakami?
I like how Amadok still takes the time to do Horizon doujins even after getting work as an LN illustrator.
Any non-h doujins i can read for this.
Gotta get something to bind the time.
Provided you know Japanese:
If not, well...
The last two might not count as doujins per-say (they're done by doujin artists though), but really, there's not much scanned and practically nothing translated.
Just read the LNs to pass the time instead.
I'll make another order next month if people link to some they'd like to see scanned.
>Well, in the War of the Gods, they fucked the universe so hard that they destroyed the heaven, hell and even fate itself. So the human race was just fucked. That was proven further as once they got back to Earth, they almost destroyed each other halving human population in just two weeks.
Is this explained in OnC or Horizon?
What's OnC about anyway?
It's EDGE. Nothing is written about that yet except some overview info.
It hasn't even happened in OnC, but people know about it in Horizon.
And you could just read what's translated of Owari no Chronicle if you want to know what it's about.
With his current speed how long 'till he finishes owari and horizon?
I believe within 2 years, which is quite incredible.
Never heard about it.
By the way if people in Horizon are recreating history why do they need to kill each other?
I don't see the point of actual wars if all you need to do is copying something, theater does it everytime.
>By the way if people in Horizon are recreating history why do they need to kill each other?
Realism. What they're trying to do is recreate the circumstances that lead to them discovering the technology that basically made them gods, acting it out without deaths could fail to create that.
EDGE is one of the eras in Kawakamiverse, Owari no Chronicle takes place in AHEAD, Horizon takes place in GENESIS, there are three others, OBSTACLE, CITY and FORTH that all have some content related to them published but EDGE has nothing as yet.
It depends, they recreate stuff it as a theater with a behind curtains deals and stuff like that all the time, but the countries also want to get ahead the rest so they just use history recreation as an excuse to battle each other and advance in their goals, that's why.
I don't know, once he finishes Color Wars, probably he will get faster with both.
Because a big part of history recreation is pure convenience and interpretation, so the countries want to eliminate their rivals one way or another. You can see it how is done with Musashi, under strict historical logic, none of the countries can do shit to Musashi, but they still want to destroy it or take control of it as a kay to world domination (as the Matsudaira clan will be the one to bring the unification of the land according to history).
They sure are desperate.
So states don't really care about history recreation that much but they have to keep doing it because otherwise it would be a total mess? Like wars everywhere.
So they kill other countries in historical battles in order not to get accused.
But aren't the other countries crecreating both European and Japanese history?
That's why they're against Musashi, aren't they?
Still Musashi going to England should've destroyed all the work.
Yes, but as they are using both, they use both to their own ends. Also, from a strict point of view, the Far East now is "the world".
Like France, that once they got someone to inherit the name of Louis XIV (the other countries tried to delay it as much they could as that would mean the rise to prominence of France) they have got the key to control Europe and now they want to control Musashi to use the unification of the Far East to control the world.
>So states don't really care about history recreation that much but they have to keep doing it because otherwise it would be a total mess?
No, the Testament is pretty much their religion. But within the lines of interpretation of the Testament the nations will do what they can to gain power.

Yes, it's like the real dominant religions in our history, convenience is always mixed on it.
It's not that weird to use religion as a tool and escuse to gain power.
Thus far, he's translating at an average of 7 chapters per month.
There are around 200 chapters left to translate. This means that we can approximate that it'll take 200/7=29 months before he's finished, which is equal to around 2,4 years.
As for Horizon, I don't think there's any way he's going to catch up with the release schedule.
I didn't say it was, the thing to note though is that the Testament isn't just something they are going along with, it is truly is a religion in Horizon. The other religions, Catholicism, Islam, etc that exist in Horizon are only followed because it is required by the Testament.
Realizing that the Testament is a religion goes a ways to explain the actions of the nations.
So they're following it because it's a religion, but at the same time they're using it to gain power through reacting historical events.
So what would've happened if Tres Espana had won against England in s2?
Because they weren't fighting just to lose, but history said England won.
Vote for official French Horizon translations.
Russian guy here, I can't read Japanese so I'm not interested in it but you should try to make them translate a shorter novel.
Horizon is hella long, and thus would require a lot of work.
If it doesn't sell well (and such a long novel needs to sell a lot), it will be a huge hit and they could stop proposing light novel.
So what happened to that giveaway in the end?
They could've royally raped england, and leave while screaming "aaah we lost, just kidding", and that would still follow history recreation.
Especially if no one is ever going to play it. I'm not a fan of many different counters running around: for example, using Noriki on Futayo can be confusing over time.
You must specify what +X/+X equals to, so you either have to specify "where X is equal to the # of ether counters" or fuse the last two abilities together (though I'm not sure it can actually be done).
If so then a state could just conquer another and put there a fake ruler. Like England raping France and Joan d'Arc, then put fake kings until Louis XIV in order to stop France to be a superpower during his reign.
oh god the kigs freak me out
>If so then a state could just conquer another and put there a fake ruler.
You don't want the entire TU against you, unless you're P.A. ODA.
>Shirojiro rubbing hands
Who's the white haired guy though?
I don't know if this is terrible or just awful.
When he finishes Color Wars, at his normal pace it will be one day Horizon one day Owari. So it will pick up faster.
Even P.A.ODA is just half-seceded as even they can't afford to fight against all the TU at the same time, so they are still adhering to the Testament outside Nobunaga's death and with the M.H.R.R. side. Even if that at the end means twisting the Testament to nuke Innocentius' ship and take control of the Testament Union, meaning that they have control over the overall interpretation of the Testament now...
I don't know, the Asama is pretty okay.
Urquiaga human form.
Oh, I see. For Urquiaga cosplayers on a budget, huh.
Now how does this make you feel?
The stockings are too thin. Tights would have been a better choice.
By the way where's explained why they're enacting both western and japanese history at the same time? Isn't this going to create problems with consistency?
Because they were at first recreating the world history in the Harmonic Divine States and japanese in the Divine States, but after the Nanboku-chō period the Harmonic World fell and now they combined, so they have to recreate both in the same place.
And that's when they blame Musashi right?
It would be even more fucked if they do not so, given they even have a Testament Excerpt to the Far East history. The Harmonic Unification War fucked the pace of history enough already.
So make them all one type of counter? A BLESS counter, for instance. That would serve to make it more like a set mechanic and less like random counters everywhere.
I think they look fine.
I wonder how many of these cosplayers have managed their way through the thousands of pages and how many just like the designs.
Honestly, the FAQ at just-believe.in explains most things.
Yes, they blame the Far East as a whole because in the Nanboku-chō period, the Southern Court stole the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan in 1443. The treasures were the ones managing the leylines and stabilizing the Harmonic World, so can suppose what happened next.
That might work, yeah, but you have to be careful not to make one character buff the other instead of hurting them (like in the Noriki-Futayo case). And don't be afraid to drop some details of the original attacks if that leads to better gameplay: what's important is the feeling, not fitting Kawakami's mammoth of a series on small pieces of cardboard.
I think he was at one volume per month when he was just with Color Wars and Owari.
Why japs are so horrible at cosplay? Costumes are always made poorly out of low-quality material, and mot even made by cosplayer - just bought. They almost always wear heels, to look taller. Too bad heels can't fix their short legs. They always wear a ton of cosmetics, which, again, doesn't help much. Finally, they LOVE to make that retarded face. This retarded duckface supposed to be cute?
Man, western anime fans are shit, but at least they can pull off good cosplay sometimes.
>three volumes of Color Wars left
I wonder how Color War fans will react to the ending.
Pretty much this. I can see how flimsy Elizabeth's headdress is, and the FUCKING DUCKFAEC.
To be fair Horizon suits have lots of detail and plasticky parts, so I understand why they can't make everything look just perfect.
And I'd rather have a myriad of shitty Horizon cosplays than none at all. At least the former shows that people care about the series.
Move on to the next action harem, I'd think. It's not like there's a lack.
Which means several volumes per year
If someone can defeat them, is the people in the GENESIS era.
>Move on to the next action harem, I'd think. It's not like there's a lack.
I meant that the ending is quite extreme... everyone dies, like all humanity.
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon - Retrospective, Part 2 - Episodes 07-13 & Final Impressions | Random Curiosity
I think he is much smarter than he leads on, much much smarter.
I think he is clever more than smart. He also knows how to use his friends given the situation.
You guys seriously think those are bad?
You haven't seen shit.
Exhibit A: Fatzo
And I'm not even going to post the worst ones here, the ones that physically hurt to look at.
Exhibit B: Natsune Mikutsudaira in a not-so-skintight suit.
This is just sad.
I believe the perfect word to describe Toori is shrewd.
There is something that throws me off, intuition can only carry you so far, and perhaps I misunderstand the depth of "friendship" in the series, but it is almost impossible for a lack of better word yes I understand I understand the pun of me saying that
Exhibit C: Hurrrrrr.
I still kind of look up to these people though. I commend them for trying, at least.
There is something that throws me off, intuition can only carry you so far, and perhaps I misunderstand the depth of "friendship" in the series, but it is almost impossible for a lack of a better word yes I understand the pun of me saying that
Exhibit D: Horizon on the Middle of Being Fucking Terrifying
As I said, these aren't even close to the worst.
As I see, he has a discerning eyes for people and walk in the line between a genius and an idiot
She should eat something.
bash doesn't care about filenames.
How does YOUR SOUL sound?
The two last 10ZO are actually decent.
Only because you can't see his face.
Then it's good, that's the whole point of 10ZO.
Exhibit E: So This Is Why Horizon Threw Herself In Front of a Carriage
Okay, this one and then one to put the others into perspective.
I feel scarred inside.
Exhibit X: My PC was Screaming While Downloading This
If you at any point spot an absolutely awful cosplay, be grateful you're not looking at this.
>that fucking Kimi dakimakura cover that Cle drew
It is literally fucking perfect. I wish Kimi was my older sister. ;_;
There is nothing left in me.
But the best part of Horizon is when you understand what's going on.
How many of you noticed "fairy"?
Oh yeah, and I ripped the sprites to that Noriki swordpunching game (http://vectorspace.seesaa.net/article/383256913.html).
The way she says Herrlich does magical things to my penis
There is a Noriki swordpunching game? Wow.
Of course there is. It's by the guy who made the Kawakamiverse shmup.
What's OnC about?
What is the promise between Nate and Toori?
Oh and also I ripped some sprites from there too.
Too many to post though.
Just read it.
Post-war negotations, alternate worlds and a fabulous sociopathic MC.
So it's a game about Noriki's fight against Ujinao.
They mention a mutual promise when she wipes the spaniard army when they were going to rescue Horizon and after in the banquet in England were Tooria and Horizon fed her.
Getting a perfect score is not really that hard in this game.
Something about being his knight and helping him build his ideal world, according to Anonymous of Central Florida. I don't know if the novel translations have reached the point where that's revealed yet.
I think is explained in v3.
Punching swords is a good way to confess.
That "Magical (Celtic) Girl Banzok".
Noriki's counters go on himself, not the thing he damages. I'll check the wording, but I think that's how it should be structured.
Its a little confusing, but as long as I make it so BLESS counters are only put on the self, rather than an other, it should be fine.
Alternatively, I could look into the Level Up mechanic, and use that instead.
I think Urqui needs to be a bit bulkier even in his bishonen form.
Mambo-san the Stepcounter vs Magical Girl Banzock
Wow, that's a hard one.
>“What is the product called?”
>Ooshiro answered with a confident thumbs up.
>“This is the digital pedometer ‘Mambo-chan’. >The character is a shaman from an esoteric religion.”
>“Oh? That is quite the uncreative name.”
>“Yes. To show her desire for you to walk with the pedometer as much as possible, I wanted to name her Pedo Lover, but that was immediately rejected.”
>“That was for the best. But I get the feeling one can buy a pedometer anywhere these days.”
>“This one is a bit different. Mambo-chan has a surprisingly direct personality. If you stop before reaching the set number of steps, she scolds you with her shaman power.”
>“Just out of curiosity, what is this power?”
>“Seventeen fully charged shocks on the level of a stun baton.”
>“I see. If you slack off, you end up passed out on the road. Are you going to sell them to the marines for marching training?”
>“Don’t worry. Situations in which you have to stop are rare and the tension can accelerate your diet. See? I’m walking just fine.”
Banzok seems more extreme.
>The two clumps 10 meters in front of Asama seemed to be made out of white cloth.
>On the surfaces of both of of the clumps, there were pictures printed of the beautiful girl in 'Magical (Celtic) Girl Banzok', that had been recently released in Musashi. Asama knew this character. According to Asama's knowledge, Banzok said things like...
>...'Yes, I will immediately flay the skin off my enemies' heads. I love live sacrifices too.'
Will forever be in my top 5, The amount of detail, world-building and depth is pretty much unparalleled.
>...'Yes, I will immediately flay the skin off my enemies' heads. I love live sacrifices too.'
Hahaha, who the hell thought adding that in LN
>Hey let's add some kind of weird mascot
>Let's make her a moe cannibalistic shaman
It's Kawakami, he adds weird and funny stuff like that all the time.
The Kawakamiverse is full of questionable marketing.
>That nicotine gum had the UCAT symbol on it. The front had a drawing of a smiling man with his eyes opened wide as he ran down a railroad track. The name of the product was “Thomas the Danger Engine Nicotine Gum”.
>“Kashima, quick question. …What is wrong with your taste for coming up with something like this?”
>“The sales just keep rising.”
>“Are you sure you’re not reading the chart wrong? Is it rising as you go to the left?”
>“What are you talking about? Do you hate Thomas the Danger Engine that much? …All the kids love him.”
>Hahaha, who the hell thought adding that in LN
Not that weird, just look at the part where Asama or Seijun are listing off all those Gods.
I can't find it now, but I think it was when Asama was talking to Seijun about her choice for a contract and she put out a extremely weird list of Gods.
And do I mean weird.
>Hanami then showed Masazumi the sign frame. It showed a site that let one search for a god. It had lists of gods in order of name, ability, sex, court rank, ancestors, and more.
>“What is with these aggressive categories in the genre search? ‘Loves crossdressing’, ‘peels back the skin’, ‘an older sister is fine too!’, ‘cruel’, ‘crotch splitting’, ‘quick to prostrate’, and ‘always running errands’?”
>“There really are gods like that. Shinto is great with genres.”
>It sounds more like it just tries to pander to everyone, thought Masazumi. Anyway, what should I do?
>Hanami opened another sign frame which displayed gods related to negotiations and politics.
>…There are a lot of Amaterasu-types here, but they’re too over-the-top for me. Oh, the God Mosaic is on the list of popular techniques.
>‘an older sister is fine too!’
I found my religion
Are these genres for the gods or for their worshippers?
god the kobolds were fucking awesome
Gabriel Angelfire much?
You could try it with new keywords.
btw, you have created a new keyword or something for this set?
I laughed my ass of when i heard their voices. And on the coin checking scene
The blackweed beasts are cuter.
You got me; I've been pulling ideas from existing cards wherever I can, and fitting them to characters.
The closest I've come to a keyword is the Armaments, which are a hastily cobbled-together equipment set that have some serious balance issues.
I've been creating a set from the Nasuverse.
From what I know, the typical idea is to make one or two keyword for creatures (or permanents, like pic related), another for spells and reuse a past keyword. They could be just an ability word like devotion or heroic, or a real ability like monstrous or soulbond.
The main aim is to relate in the game something flavorful of the world that is being put into cards.
Pic related is an ability that I created out of spite of MaRo and his puritan policies against real removal in other colors, giving red and green useful things more than just damage, ramp and buffs, between other things. So in the end, I picked one of the things he hates the most (using the exile zone to something else than just "remove from the game something forever") and run from it.
That's a very green card.
How would you measure the Horizonverse magic/spell/ability system compared to other famous ones like HxH, JoJo or Shaman King.
Make one for Raildex
Veru gimmicky like JoJo.
I know. At least the mana generation is shared between red and green, but the first part is from the City of Solitude, although the policy of "stop crewing me!" could also be shared between both colors with cards like Stranglehold. Anyway, the "crew the color pie" is also an attack against MaRo.
Pic related is another card using one of my permanent-abilities and my spell-ability, both referencing the exile zone.
An anon is already doing this:
I'm not sure if I could make something different, as using the Level up ability was a very good idea. And I'm thinking to make the nont-so-important characters nameless like in that set, without using the real name of the characters. i.e. using "Mercury Magician" instead of "Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald"
It's extremely varied considering how many Gods there are, some gods can even do more than one thing in case of Kimi and Toori.
But at the base it's rather simple, internal and external mana which recharges over time.
As anon said, it's very gimmicky.
Fits rather well with the universe.
This is just shinto though, the TU has a different system altogether apparently.
Holy Abilities are also very gimmicky too, just see the TRUMPS.
What about the Spaniards? Remember how Muneshige used cartridges for stacking up spells?
Seemed way more effective than GO FAST TO GO FASTER in Futayo's case.
>You got me; I've been pulling ideas from existing cards wherever I can, and fitting them to characters.
So one could say that you're recreating the game's history?
>So in the end, I picked one of the things he hates the most (using the exile zone to something else than just "remove from the game something forever") and run from it.
That's far from being the only use of Exile, though. What MaRo doesn't like is returning things that are supposed to be gone forever, like after a graveyard clear or an especially wicked removal spell. Because at that point, Exile might as well be "Graveyard with deeper graves". It's still fine to use it for blinks, tracking stuff, even as a temporary hand (as used by Ashiok, for example). So I do feel like >>101969692 is fine despite it being recast-able from Exile - after all, it has a built-in way of going there.
Also, color pie is your friend, don't hate on the color pie. Colors are supposed to have weaknesses to compensate for their strengths. You can justify any effect in any color through flavor, which is why it's so important to draw the line somewhere.
That sounds way more complicated than I thought it was.
Now, returning to the abilities, keywords and that stuff, I recommend focus the set in a part of the game (like colors, with devotion), a card zone (like the exile zone in my Nasuverse set or the graveyard in Innistrad) or in a permanent type (like artifacts in Mirrodin) or something else.
Try to use something flavorful to the Kawakamiverse, maybe link the countries or the concept of dimensions to "positioning" i.e. taking care where you put the cards in the table, like using mainly the left or right side of the table if you play cards from Musashi or its allies and using the other side for cards related to their enemies, this with instant and sorceries that affect or prioritize cards in a certain part of the table.
I'm not intending to make the exile a second graveyard like in yu-gi-oh, in my set it's just a zone you care about for stuff like the two cards I already posted.
Also, in my set, I remade the concept of a card being exiled: if a card is exiled without knowing what it is (like being milled while a Leyline of the Void is out) is kept face down and cannot be played if it could had recast. An unknown card is only put face up if its required for some ability related to the source of its exile (like the ability of Oona, Queen of the Fae, that wants to know the colors of the exiled cards so she can put tokens)
Who is she?
I don't think the encyclopedia translation has gotten that far, but it sure would be interesting getting some in depth info on how non-Shinto abilities work.
Shinto is pretty self evident, but that's only because it has been the main focus thus far.
Now that I remember, there were any repercussions in the novels to the "I had sex with Munishige" misunderstanding between Futayo and Gin?
She took Neito's tits
Nate didn't need them anyway.
God fucking damn it, I want to see Urqui destroy the fuck out of his waifu and steal her heart at the same time animated.
Her tits are people.
So, basically, double strike?
Double strike that happens before double strike.
The idea is "Gotta go faster".
The only way Sunrise could have any say in whether there'll be a S3 or not would be if they turned down the offer in favor of doing more Love Live or Buddy Complex. Let's not assume the worst of them, shall we?
That's >>101970136 all what the Encyclopedia says.
The Horizon fanbase must be almost exclusively Euro since they always die during Euro nighttime.
It'd be interesting to do a survey in the next thread.
It seems pretty international to me, at least on 4chan when you take a look at the known contributors.
Mayhem did put out analytics data for just.believe-in, but that's not really a good way to judge.
You've read it? Ahh, that's a bummer. I can understand not going awfully in-depth in the ability systems though. He might risk contradicting himself.
I found it with the archive but foolz nuked all 'old' images a while ago
I was one translating the Encylopedia (in hiatus now because I have a lot of work going on) and yes, that's all. There is more stuff about specific abilities, like Muneshige's or Galileo's Heliocentrism and Geocentrism.
But that would be S4.
That's her inherited name, not her.
Remember the classes "adviser", "cleric" and other exists.
Who was the huge guy in ep 13 of s2 that looked kinda like Ukii that was with Innocentius and Galileo? He was called Raikiri in the chat.
That's Tachibana Dousetsu.
Tachibana Dousetsu, Gin's dad.
Well that was fast. Thanks.
Also to clarify on his looks, he was in a God of War.
More like he's the God of War.
He was human, he just got paralytic so he fused with a God of War.
>Testament says you need to be able to cut lightning
>Go one step further and create a weapon that can turn anything into lightning and then cut the created lightning
I don't know why he only appears in a scene.
Indestructible is now an ability. So, Phos Kenodoxia should read, "Equipped creature has indestructible."
Other than that, good job on the wording for the cards! They're overpowered like you said, but they read like they're the real thing.
Wow, we had a complete thread like the old days?
You ripped the song? Is kind of catchy.
