there isnt a single thing i havent excelled at. played for national team in baseball, jumped age groups in hockey, single digit handicap in golf while only playing between baseball and hockey seasons, top of class in school, skipped a grade in jr high, went to university on scholarships, was ranked #1 on theclq for quake and tribes, won a tv, n64 and copy of starfox 64 for winning a multiplayer tournament when the game launched wihtout ever having played it or owning an n64, had a 100 game winning streak in warcraft 3 at launch without going above peon icon and finished in top 50 of season 1 ladder in 1v1 and 2v2, was first guild to down ragnaros before he could summon sons and got deviate fish nerfed int he process, currently make about $250,000-300,000 gross per year and attained wizard status. get on my level.

This girl I know kind of does this. She's got horses and lives out in the country and has to ride the bus a few hours every day. She's also in a choir and plays the cello, works part time, has a boyfriend and a funktioning social life and is still a straight-A student. Not a genious perhaps, but still reality-defying if you ask me.

I've met some amazing people in my life with incredible abilities, but none I would consider a true genius.

An interesting side note, all those people above who had incredible abilities were also highly deficient in other parts of their life.

I met quite a few geniuses in college. Most of them had really pathetic lives and could never accomplish long term goals due to being unable to work with their peers.
Only two seemed to live a happy life and keep putting forward interesting stuff with their skills.

What would you define as a genius? Someone who's the best of the world at something? Someone who gets the highest grades at everything?

Don't think I've ever met someone who I'd say is an actual genius. But that might just be my standards, I got my BSc. degree before being legally allowed to drive a car.

I do but that's a rather depressing /b/logpost for another time and another place read: never and nowhere

This is so unreal, how does she do that?
Honestly, I think you're kinda unreal, too.

You don't excel at grammar.

Everything she does doesn't sound impossible since she obviously doesn't sit her ass in front of a computer all day like us. She probably studies or talks on the phone while on the bus since she spends so much time on it.
There is so much we could do in one day but we choose to eat up the hours on here. I think I'm gonna go outside today.
