I am looking for a good anime series to watch that doesnt include the typical cliches, I am looking for something diferent preferably with action and a decent main character who isnt a loser and good plot...
awww come on /a/ cant you help me out by giving me some suggestions?
So I\'m going to assume that you have no idea what makes a plot \"Good,\" right?
I wish you would all drop dead. Really I do. Every person who says stupid shit like that: That means every last one of you.
why don you enlighten me on what makes a plot good
FUCKING FLAWLESS LOGIC
>DECEN MAIN CHARACTER
I fail to see how your anime could suck with those awesome criteria.
noien. period. SRLSY.
NOTHING. Plot is a fucking container.
DIE IN A FIRE FUELED BY ALL THE BOOKS YOU DO NOT READ.
i bet I have read more books in the last year than what you have read on your whole life.
leave karasu to me
The fact that you dont even know what plot is says NO.
BURN FOR YOUR CRIMES. I FUCKING HATE YOU AND EVERYONE LIKE YOU.
Bitch be tripping up all in my grill.
It is far from cliche, and although it takes a while to heat-up, the action is good. The main character is the opposite of a moral fag, and the plot is... Depressing and confusing at times, but still decent.
Any World Masterpiece Theater production, or anything like it. There's no action but they're still really great stories.
Armored Trooper Votoms is a great real mech series that doesn't have many mech or anime cliches, there's even a new OVA series currently running if you haet old animation like a newfag.
Patlabor, especially the movies, has a great plot and a bit of action and stays clear of many cliches.
PlanetES is always a good choice.
Moein deserves another mention.
Fantastic Children never gets mentioned enough, I've never figured this one out why.
Mononoke, you should know this one by know.
Master Keaton/Monster combo is always a good recomendatiom.
Kemonozume and anythnig by Masaaki Yuasa.
FLAG, not everyone liked this one but I loved it.
And lastly, and most importantly, Oh! Edo Rocket is one of the funniest shows of the last couple years and stays away from all those shitty anime comedy cliches quite nicly and as some shounen fightan action and some romance and a fantastic soundtrack.
There's definitly more, but that's off the top of my head without looknig at a list.
...Your tastes are eerily similar to Cirnos.
>Fantastic Children never gets mentioned enough, I've never figured this one out why.
probably because of the repulsive animation.
honestly, this was the only anime i could not watch simply because of the animation.
Maybe also Terra e... It's a little to melodramatic for some people's tastes, but it does stay away from cliches, and has a great ending that makes up for the intermezzo.
Successfully combines elements of Samurai anime with blaxploitation. Also SAMUEL FUCKING JACKSON.
noein. that is all i have to say. it is THAT good.
I AM YOU
FUCK YEAH AFRO, BEAT THE SHIT OUTTA THEM MOFO CRACKAZ!
but seriously, it was fukken enjoying.
>>doesnt include the typical cliches
it's hard to avoid cliches in this day and age, and it's only gonna get harder to come up with something new as the time passes, but I personally enjoy a well executed cliche than a bad executed orginal idea, GG is a rather good example, I mean the whole mafi/betrayal/revenge thing, specially being a game adaption I realy didn't have high expectations, but it was great I mean good animation, decent/good plot, good music, and a rather good pacing, bonus for good dub, so I do suggest that you don't limit yourself to ORGINAL stuff only, you can always find good cliches...
for an orginal work I'd suggest "Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei", but the fact that a.f.k dropped/doesn't much care about second season(Zoku Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei) will leave you in much despair though.
