How do we fix SnK?
don't watch the anime, eventually the manga will fix himself.
Read the manga, OP. The anime is dogshit.
It's too late.
It's far far beyond repair.
Remake it from the beginning, and make it not terrible this time.
>Eren actually dies
>Anime is about Mikasa learning to live without him
>Jean becoming a man and winning Mikasa.
Drop humans turning into titans
>this much denial
> Implying the manga is any good
The drawing quality is shit and after the events of the first season it's pretty much all filler. Combine this with a monthly release and you get a manga you can drop without regrets.
Kill the entire titan shifters nonsense. Make Ishiyama a good artist magically and have it be entirely 3dmg action scenes and horrible death scenes.
By effectively killing the Bert and Jeanfags
Haven't read the manga but they should just get to the fucking point. Yes, Annie is the female titan, why the fuck did it take the entire second half to get to that point? The series suffers heavily from filler-syndrome.
There is nothing to fix though.
Fix the pacing and you fix the show
I agree, but it would never happen. Like it or not, it's obviously an extremely important aspect of the show. Which is unfortunate because although it was an interesting idea, the execution so far has been impressively terrible.
I don't understand why SnK is so popular.
give it another season
Because its an awesome concept for a video game, as feng lee proved.
Bring back Terry as the MC.
Before titan shifting character dropped like flies....but faster. I soon realized that It would be best just not to care about any character because the instant they give them some characterization the next episode they're fucking dead. So when Erin started shifting and the deaths dropped off it was pleasing to actually get relatively attached to the characters.
Unless you're serious when you say that the Armored and Colossal titan identities were filler.
u wot m8?
I couldn't get attached to any of them. Most of them are generic shounen characters that we've all seen before.
The only mildly interesting character is Levi, but I saw spoilers involving him that occur later in the manga, so yeah...
>The only mildly interesting character is Levi
Author said he was planning a The Mist ending, so it was doomed to be total ass from the start. Humans being the titans, and now Eren being able to control them with his mind, is just beyond unfixable.
All the cancer gathered in a single thread, it's terrifying.
At least try not to express your opinion about something you don't know.
Less lesbians. Eren x Historia will completely destroy the yurifags and fujoshits' confidence in the series, nobody will reblog it on tumblr and it'll return to its prior status on /a/ as an underground series. Or so I hope.
But the manga is just as bad or even worse in some ways.
Have the second season be entirely animated by a proper studio and not a bunch of outsourced Vietnamese retards.
Ebin, you troled me.
Yeah! Same here. They're not great characters. But when I see one giant smash the face of another. When they animate that fucking kinetic energy with the punches shit Its fun to watch. Or when someone punches someone elses arm off its fun. Without titan shifters we'd just get more "WAaaa Crowds panic and make stupid choice! Truely we are simply retarded sheep! PANIC PANIC!"
It was good (or at least ok) until Titan Eren/Titan shifters in general. I think that we all can agree with that. It had potential.
>How do we fix SnK?
So this thread is pretty much saying
>How do we fix a series so the minority here at /a/ like it.
Yeah but the point is, if Isayama was going to make it stupid (Humans turning into (Piloting?) Titans), he should've just gone full retard and made it mechs vs titans or something. It still would've been dumb but without the burdens of taking itself too seriously, which it currently suffers from.
All girls cast.
I with the Titan Shifters were just people who had access to specially grown titans that worked like biomechs instead of having a titan magically grow around them.
>Being this delusional
nah then the show would be even more of a generic rehash
Far and away my biggest problem with the series.
1. Wait for the manga to run its course.
2. Adapt the completed manga into a 6-episode miniseries.
But people have done that shit. I like he humans in the titans. Shits all fleshy in there. Fucking, in the manga its a little bit retarded that Erin would get so damaged that his flesh wouldn't immediately come back, and he would spend hours without a face. But its still pretty cool. I'd even use the word Unique.
It's fine how it is
Turn the "shifters" into people who can take control of titans they get eaten by.
They'd scope out a batch of titans and send Eren off to get eaten by the strongest one. Or actually manage to capture a strong one and transport it around in total darkness until it's needed to eat him.
This...might actually work.
I was barely able to force myself to watch all 25 episodes. A 6 ep OVA would be much better.
Those 3 or 4 episodes of horse riding made me want to die
By getting to the damn basement already!
>never read the manga
God people gave aot shit for going slightly off course with the last two episodes.
The only people who'd enjoy it otherwise would be shit posters like you on /a/
Simple, get rid of Titan Shifters.
>ignoring deaths of support characters
>ignoring reveal of the identities of shifters
>ignoring the truth of the origins of the titian
>pretending that monkey trouble never happened
>acting like we didn't get a cool fight scene involving the armored titian
2/10 for making me respond
BINGO and now i am leaving this thread that was just made to shit post
You can't. It's based on a mystery that has no satisfying resolution, what the titans are, and it's not artistic and literary enough for them to be symbolic or parable.
YOU'RE IN A WHAT DID YOU FUCKING EXPECT?
Normal titans remain a threat
Kill everyone in the fanbase except the people who liked it before the anime started airing.
make eren turn into a giant and unable to turn back until he presents such a threat to everyone that he must be killed and misaka kills herself and armin becomes mc
A wedding between Levi and Mikasa
So basically what I see from the educated posters is... Shingeki no Kyojin: Brotherhood.
>giving Mikasa to anyone
Can't tame the manlet
the adaption was 99% faithful and the blurays fix all the QUALITY issues. The only problem is the manga itself is horse ass.
Nah. First of all, FMA 2003 is actually pretty good, even if the story ends up going nowhere. So it's not really fair to make that comparison.
Second, SnK followed the manga pretty closely. It's just not good.
A remake could give them a second chance to actually make it good, but it's already selling so well that I don't see why they would do that.
But anon, incest is bad.
Levi and Mikasa aren't even related at all, you dingus.
>SnK followed the manga pretty closely.
>followed the manga
goes for the manga as well.
what's in the basement?
Remove the fanbase
what quality issues?
Try to make some characters more plot relevant and not just toss them aside until when needed (i.e. Jean, Sasha, Hanji's squad).
Don't introduce minor characters just for the sake of killing them afterward, or at least when doing so, introduce them at earlier time (i.e. levi's squad, mike's squad), I think a good example would be Mike himself.
This is probably an old habit that Isayama has corrected recently, but in earlier chapters he tends to put informed ability quite a lot (Hannes bumped into the kids and started talking about Grisha out of no where, Eren given right away of the titan kill numbers levi squad pulled off)
Another thing would be weird timing for introducing flashbacks in the earlier chapters. In the manga, after EMA made it to Rose it shifted to the 104th graduating right away. It had two sessions of training arc flashbacks, one in the beginning and one in the middle of Trost.
I'm not complaining anything about the later half of the series except some panels of quality such as mikasa's autism
The pacing was already slow in the manga, but they managed to do worse.
you're an idiot.
this guy on imdb had a pretty good (long) post about the show. just fix everything he's talking about.
the pacing of that part was specially horrible. It was bearable otherwise
Art by Yusuke Murata.
Story by Gen Urobuchi.
No Titan shifting bullshit.
Eren actually dies after getting eaten by Richard Stallman
Mikasa becomes the main character with Levi as her mentor.
take the shinji-ness out of Eren and make him a better mc
Where's the shinji in Eren anon
This kind of QUALITY.
>Art by Yusuke Murata.
>Story by Gen Urobuchi.
>No Titan shifting bullshit.
>Mikasa becomes the main character with Levi as her mentor.
If the story is written by urobutcher, the reveal will probably end at "humans are titans" part.
in his constant whining and crying
>whining and crying
why did they change the guy to a Blonde? was that accidentally Bertolt?
Get rid or Araki.
Considering how characters are shit and everyone hates them it would be good if titans became good guys and slaughtered every single one of them.
Make the people who don't like it stop watching.
The world would be a better place and you would stop wasting your time with something you dislike.
Now seriously fuck off.
>Whining and crying
Are you high?
It was supposed to be thomas and the staff colored him as Nac Tius.
Get a better main character.
Eren should have died in that bearded titan.
I think keeping in the "people turning into titans" thing is fine, but it should have been introduced later on, keeping the titans to be something to truly fear for a greater part of the story. That's what made it interesting to me at first, was the uncanny valley look of these enormous zombies walking around eating people, and the soldiers were all too terrified to do anything.
1. Get a decent artist
2. Get a decent writer
Wow that was hard
>but it should have been introduced later on,
No, that would be even worse. Waiting and fooling the reader into believing it will always be humans vs titans only to pull that out halfway through the series would be a HUGE mis-step.
Doing it early on was the best way to tackle the situation and reaffirmed it as an important and central part of the series.
Not adding original scenes.
You know, S2 will be 60% anime original and 40% manga.
>watch Sean cry over Marco
>i don't remember who the fuck Marco was.
Written and illustrated by Junji Ito.
The funny thing is that in the manga, "humans turning into Titan" happen much sooner that in the anime.
I wonder, if the anime followed the same storytelling of the manga, would people have continued watching it?
That scene was awesome!
I really liked SnK...just a little bit more fast-paced if anything
>That scene was awesome!
MAL go away.
>just a little bit more fast-paced
>just a little
Full damage control.
