Just got done marathoning this. I really enjoyed it all the way through. Don't remember the reception when it was airing so thoughts on it?

In any Fog fleet, in any ocean, go to any Mental Model you can find. When you reach the front deck, ask to visit someone who calls herself "The Keeper of the Carnival". Should a look of child-like fear come over the Mental Model's face, you will then be taken to a heavy cruiser in the fleet. It will be a seemingly innocuous ship among many ships. All you will hear is the sound of a lone instrument echoing the halls. It is in a broken melody that you will not understand, but your very soul will feel unspeakable fear.

Should the music stop at any time, STOP and QUICKLY say aloud "I'm just passing through, I wish to talk." If you still hear silence, flee. Leave, do not stop for anything, do not go home, don't dock at a port, just keep sailing, and sleep where your tank runs dry. You will know in the morning if you've escaped.

If the music in the hall comes back after you utter those words continue on. Upon reaching the source all you will see is a windowless room with a Mental Model in the corner, vacantly smiling, and cradling something. The girl will only respond to one question. "What happens when they all come together?"

The girl will then stare into your eyes and answer your question in horrifying detail. Many go mad in that very room, some disappear soon after the meeting, and a few end their lives. But most do the worst thing, and look upon the object in the girl's hands. You will want to as well. Be warned that if you do, your death will be one of cruelty and unrelenting horror.

Your death will be in that room, by that Mental Model's hands.

That object is 1 of 538. They must never come together. Never.

It was the surprise hit of the season, outselling even the vastly overhyped (and mediocre) kill la kill.
>>
>>101837811
So there's hope for a second season? Or not enough source material?
On that note is the manga worth reading?
>>
>>101837880
Yes. The anime went original story after ep 7. And very yes.
>>
I'm waiting for the BD release. Someone should do a comparison for the CGI fixes.

Overall opinions on the CGI? I thought it would be a a major turn off for me but I adjusted to it and grew to like it
Also why was she so sexual?
>>
>>101839022
Yes, and it seemed like the studio got better at it towards the later episodes.

Is ch 53 out yet? Ch. 52 still only has translations from Chinese as far as I know.

The CGI was fine. The characters were stiff most of the time, but that doesn't matter much.

But the directing and writing is superb. You can feel tons of emotions just from this.

couldn't even get beyond the first episode because the CG made my eyes bleed.

How much better? I hated the CG in the anime but the story seems okay. I want to watch it but everyone looks so fucking stiff. I want to watch it but shit CG is shit.

PS. The image on >>101839388 still looks like ass to me.

The first thing I think when watching CG is "How long did that took to render?" That should tell you enough.

1. Motion. The way they handle motion is just wrong. That's not how a body moves.
2. The shaders.
3. 1 and 2 should be more than enough.

Most 3d to 2d cg shaders are just blob drawers for when a pixel's normal vector is a certain angle or more away from the adjacent pixel's normal vectors. The color shader is the same, but with normal vector and light vector deciding between two colors. There's no other way to do it that's cheap computationally.
