I like sword art online, and I am going to make a thread about it.
I respect your choice but dropped SAO at episode 3 and so have little of worth to contribute to your thread.
You have shit taste and I will not be the only one to point this out for you.
lol u tk him 2da bar|?
ITS THE SAME GOD DAMN THING AS .HACK
Explain your reasoning (unless you're just shit posting)
>I like sword art online
Why? What is it about this series that you find appealing?
Hold on, the proper way to start an SAO thread is to ask something like "why do you guys hate this show so much?"
Not Op but I like the feels it gave me at certain points like when he settles down with Yui And Asuna. Also when they finally have the reunion with Asuna at the end of the show
>What is it about this series that you find appealing?
it's fun. i know, hard concept to grasp, but you'll get there someday.
The concept was interesting, but not that original, the animation was pretty good, if you treat it as an odd romance show instead of whatever it was trying to be, then it was pretty good. I enjoyed it, despite it's flaws.
All of this is dependent on season 2 not existing though
I'm guessing this is bait but I'm going to respond anyways. I liked the show regardless of what /a/ thinks, the music and art were great, plus Asuna was the cutest tsundere we've gotten in a long time. The plot wasn't really any better or worse than in other shonen shows. My only disappointment was that MC didn't get to fuck his sister too.
Except SAO was entertaining, and even when less then nothing was explained most times in SAO it managed to make ten times more sense and be more logical then .hack.
Even more hilarious? The romance crap is actually better and doesn't have creepy implications in SAO. And .hack has that crap from ep 1 all the way up to the last.
It's amusing because the books were actually supposed to be a bit of a romance, with some action thrown in.
Everything else were just meant to be side-stories that filled in timeskips, but the anime insisted on doing everything chronologically.
>Not creepy implications
But she clearly didn't even want to be in love with him. She didn't actively pursue him, and that was the point of her dialogue.
The point was she couldn't help who she liked, and she got hurt for it. And she knew that would happen.
They're technically cousins so its cool
They might not even be cousins.
It's implied Kirito's "aunt" told him he was his mom/dad was her sister/brother in order to make him feel more like an actual member of the family.
Ah yes. That Doujin, that I'm pretty sure is a parody based on the joke story, "There is but one Ultimate Way," where Kirito ends up with ALL the girls
I don't know why the Japs insist on including incest if they're not going to make it blood-related, that takes all the fun out of it.
It's probably for ambiguity.
Though, Suguha's mom is clearly sisters with Kazuto's mom.
>There is a story written by the author, where all the girls marry him in Underworld.
>It's supposedly non-canon.
I dont like how everything is second fiddle to Kirito's love life, right down to the plot and even the world. This show is called sword art online right? so where is it? And how every girl instantly falls for him cause he's the writer's self insert. And the rules always bend to Kirito's will, which sucks any and all tension out of any confrontation. And how secondary characters get no resolution and dont matter. Fuck this show.
>This show is called sword art online right? so where is it?
I hate faggots like you and I am posting about it
>watching a shounen series for plot
I love that the author is willing to write crazy side stories like that with his characters. I hope he writes a hentai series with the SAO characters later on.
Meaning there is no world building whatsoever
It's merely a setting for Kirito to be a badass
>everything is second fiddle to Kirito's love life, right down to the plot and even the world
Only in some parts of what the anime covered.
Book 1, 3 and 4 revolved around their romance (Book 2 was just randomly assorted side-stories, to fill in time-gaps in Book 1)
After that, the romance is practically shafted. Of course, the Anime ends right there.
>This show is called sword art online right? so where is it?
Everything that happens in the series is a direct result of what occurred in SAO. So yeah. Also, Kirito continues to use swords...
>And how every girl instantly falls for him
I've said this before. 3 girls, (a 4th retroactively) and that's about it.
>And the rules always bend to Kirito's will
The rules actually bend to... just about everyone's will really.
The last arc is 60% everyone but him bending the world's rules.
>And how secondary characters get no resolution and dont matter
Yeah.. that's... I think everyone hates that part...
It's called 16.5, and it was awful.
I wonder if Kawahara's sexual experience amounts to what he can gleam from doujins.
I just wanted to say that I like SAO too, OP. Some flaws aside, SAO overall isn't bad as haters/trolls would want people to think.
I hate that they're demoting Asuna to a side character in season 2. Honestly she was the only good thing about the show.
Oh, world building? Yeah, the Anime doesn't include any of that.
"Sword Art Online: Progressive" is all about world building, but it's not progressed enough to be made into it's own anime, so the SAO anime basically just included the first chapter, and butchered it.
>only good thing about the show
But after she got rescued in ALO, her outfit looked pretty shit
I love SAO because I don't have autism. can't wait for SAO2
No. Besides, Sinon is better.
Outfits do not make the character! Even if she is dressed in bags, it is the same person, Just wanted to point that out.
So why does trap-Kirito have a breastplate again? I don't think it'd be much use against whatever bullets and lightsabers GGO has.
No romantic relationship = boring
SAO is fun
I like fun things
Kirito always has light stuff. The plate serves as SOME protection.
Fuck your romance.
So do I, /a/ just hates fun
>No more of pic related in season 2
Why even bother watching?
I also hate bloated PNG images
You mean that spiky-looking sword? Good thing they got rid of it, it looks ugly and edgy as fuck
So wouldn't that make it the perfect sword for Kirito?
Because Kirito is hotter
It's supposed to be a short-spear, so it's only good for stabbing.
She is pretty cute though.
What the hell is with all the Asuna newfags?
Man, Asuka looks good in just about anything
Will this be one of those rare instances where a megane girl will be best girl?
No, because >>101836156 and also the fact that he's really not edgy except for Red-Nosed Reindeer and (unfortunately) a large chunk of this season. Goddammit, you guys are gonna have a field day with this.
She is VERY cute.
Back before the anime, the girls that people liked the best were probably Sinon, followed closely by Asuna. Then Liz.
Hate to break it to you, but Asunafags have always been a thing before SAO got popular.
Yes, well, I haven't seen so many people vocal about Asuna on an SAO thread. Or are most of the posts just the same people?
There's no need to be vocal when she's clearly the best.
I liked it too. Not meaningful, but I played MMORPGs as a yungin -- EverCrack, specifically -- and enjoyed the allusions.
Regretted watching S2 so hard. Romance was a cringy, but still enjoyed the poking fun at life in an RPG -- see cooking a romantic meal.
>I haven't seen so many people vocal about Asuna on an SAO thread
>on an SAO thread on /a/
Gee, I wonder why.
>Jake the Bait
That aside, I prefer... Really, there are like 5 other girls I would rather, over Asuna.
Now if we were talking about web-novel Asuna, who doesn't hesitate to kill an enemy just because he's on the ground begging for his life, that would be a different story.
See that mountain? You can climb it
What's your tripcode? I think it was a public trip but I don't remember what it was.
Why didn't they censor this shit in the BD release?
I don't see it
Come on, they're only touching.
I like the concept, the love story was alright.
I would suck dicks to play inside a game like that though. Too bad we be dead before anything like it comes out.
Her armor design makes no sense, she shouldn't even be able to lift her arms up with those straps connecting to her chest.
I discovered /a/ through SAO, I've assimilated well
It's a video game. And they're probably more flexible than you think.
I don't think there is necessarily anything wrong about liking it.
It's just you can't say it was good.
nice blog bro
>"Ah, we better say our greetings properly. As a member of the guild, I hope we can get along well."
>As she suddenly bowed, I straightened my back to reply.
>"I-I hope we get along too... but then again, I'm just a normal member while you're the sub-leader, so..."
>I swept my right forefinger down Asuna's spine.
>"I won't be able to do things like this anymore—"
If you don't know, you don't deserve to know.
>complaining about video game armor
>“Heart rate is dropping!”
>“Start chest compressions!”
>“No… no… Kirito-kun… not something like this…”
>Kirito-kun, it’s a lie, right? You aren’t going to leave me, right? You said we’ll be together forever…… didn’t you say that?
>The pink heart displayed on the monitor throbbed slightly once, before it stopped pulsing.
>implying SAO is a video game
Wait, so is in-game death going to lead to real life death in SAO2?
>implying the gary stu self insert is ever going to die
I liked SAO purely because it's how I envision my perfect MMO. Well, without the literally dying part.
I just wan't a fucking MMO where my autism and grinding can amount to something rather than be handed everything on a silver fucking platter like every other player.
This happened in real-life. Was attacked by a former member of Laughing Coffin.
Source: Volume 9, Prologue 1
You'd think those guys would get prosecuted for murder in the real world.
>Sword Art Online
I think you're missing something anon.
i fully accept this ending, cause it means they wont defile mothers rosario
Wait no, I mean Interlude 1.
It's not like there's any real evidence, as I recall the logs didn't carry that kind of information.
Didn't SAO sell pretty well? They're going to leave the door for a season 3 open.
There's something wrong with your show when the video game tie in happens to tell a better story.
I've read the summaries for the games, and they're rather disappointing/retarded, in my opinion.
Well, THIS ending confirms a 3rd Season. Is that what you're trying to say?
Or are you saying they won't do it, because of that...?
I really would like this ending, simply because of how the cliffhanger will make Anime-only fans cry everywhere.
Okay LNfags how badly is best girl going to lose?
So badly she won't even be in the competition
she fucks trap kirito in a cave before winning BoB by blowing herself and kirito to bits with a nuke
Best Girl isn't romantically interested in MC
Therefore, Best girl cannot lose.
But she still ends up teasing the girls that like him, like in pic-related.
>“Sinon-san, so cool——————!”
>Sinon responded to our praise with a down and up motion using her triangular ears —— as both her hands were holding the sword, she looked at me and shrugged lightly.
>“Here you are, there is no need to make that face.”
>——I was apparently too careless, it was as if a big “I want that!” was written on my forehead with a black magic pen. Sinon inadvertently stared to the upper left while holding out the sword to me, with a “Here” voice.
>A faint déjà vu. About two weeks ago, in the event to decide the strongest in GGO «Bullet of Bullets 3» battle royale tournament’s final round, Sinon had made the very same action. What I received by reflex back then was a one hit kill plasma grenade, Sinon and I stuck together and both died from the bomb immediately after that, leading to the conclusion of the match. People on the net had been trying to interpret that last scene, but it was eerie so there was no further investigation.
>But this time, surely the sword wouldn’t explode.
>As I said thanks, I held out my hands to receive it —— but the sword was pulled back.
>“Before that, promise me one thing.”
>Then the blue haired Cait Sith gave a bright smile, it was without a doubt the highest class in ALO —— although with a destructive power equal to ten plasma grenades hidden in it.
>“——Every time you pull this sword out, make sure you always think of me, alright?”
>During the suddenly frozen atmosphere, the golden holy sword «Excaliber» moved from Sinon’s hands to mine. But it was unbelievable, I couldn’t feel its weight at all, instead I felt an imaginary chill and sweat flowing down my back.
>“O―o, it’s sure difficult for you, popular-bro.”
>From right behind me, Klein said so without reading the atmosphere, I stepped on his foot to make him silent,
Is this deconstruction of the harem genre?
SAO was never meant to be a harem.
The author basically just remembered all the tropes and cliches that normally comes with LNs, and retroactively fit them in.
The anime, though, sort of made it more into a harem tho.
six years of glopping semen.
what the fuck are you for fucking real? I only watched SoA for Asuna. I hated the whole elf world arc bull shit cause she was hardly in it, and they butchered her in the movie. But seriously wtf? Bring things back to how her and Kirito were in love together.
fuck this shit
It looks like the game tie in has a nice PLOT.
>A grill giving actually a guy free weapons in a MMORPG
Truly best girl
Interview with Hollow Fragment producer, 二见鹰介
-His fav character is Sinon.
-The 3D models for the important characters and new boss monsters are redone. The NPCs, monsters that appeared in IM and background are HD upscale.
-Compatible with Vita TV.
-Battle system are redone frm zero.
-Reki Kawahara (jokingly) said that he doesn't want a SAO MMO
-You can customize Kirito's appearance in story mode as well.
-You can bring a male NPC with you for multiplayer if you so desire.
-Filia can be considered as the heroine of HF. As for whether there is a Filia route he says it's a secret.
-Infinity Moment is playable in HF. IM and HF are both diverged "routes" that are set in the same time frame so both story-lines have effects with one another.
-There will be different endings for each heroines in both "routes". Secret ending after all 100 floor is beaten.
-Sachi will be returning.
-The DLCs will be free
-The producer wish to be able to make games for the following arcs in LN.
If you want more Asuna, wait for Mother's Rosario arc.
If you want Kirito AND Asuna.. well...
I can't wait to unleash all the SAO frodos and other various trolling shit on the threads when it airs. I've been collecting them in a folder since the first season finished.
You could say I've gathered up two years' worth
Will SAO be 2 cour?
>I dont like how everything is second fiddle to Kirito's love life
What? If anything plays second fiddle, it's his love life.
>-Sachi will be returning.
Hopefully. If so, GGO would make up the first half, and various assorted side-stories would make up the second half, including Mother's Rosario, and hopfully followed by parts of Volume 9.
>hasnt read the day after
>-His fav character is Sinon.
Yeah, in "The Day After" side story, the author decided to explain digital ghosts.
Remember Griselda's ghost, at the end of the Murder case story? Yeah, that's canon.
Sachi's ghost is also in Aincrad.
Is Egil coming back? he is my self insert
Squished by Eugeo
It's Agil you fucker. (Andrew GILbert Mills)
And you'll probably see him in the background here and there.
Somehow fucked up that spoiler...
>you'll probably see him in the background here and there.
Thank you based Kawahara
Remember, Kirito: Your girlfriend has methods to track wherever you are.
SAO doesn't actually sound very fun, though. Melee only and no effective ranged options for archers and such? That really limits your gameplay. I guess it is nice that it doesn't abide by the Holy Trinity, though.
ironically the best mmo is alfheim out of the 3 they play, taking aside the fact that everyone is a freaking fairy,(which isn't so weird in MMOS these days) the game itself sounds nice.
Agreed. The Fairy Dance arc was shit, but I think I would enjoy the game.
Though, of all 4 "worlds" in the series, I think I'd rather go with Underworld, for some reason.
Neo-ALO > SAO = ALO > UW > GGO
Assuming no fatal effects are caused from playing.
yeah i didn't count underworld because, you know, people inside it don't know they are in a video game and there's no way to get off.
that aside, it sounds the most consistent.
Too much fantasy, not enough game, IMO. It also has some weird mechanics.
>chains vs chains = both break
My only real gripe with SAO is that Klein would have been a better protagonist.
B-but, mah English Sacred Arts...
Klein probably would have ended up getting as much heat as Kirito.
>Complete newb to VR
>Creates a 10-man Guild
>Becomes one of the top clearing Guilds,
>Loses 0 people all through-out
>Only flaw is that he's not as good as Kirito.
to be honest if Klein would be the protag he would be the best bro and the best guild master second to that GM Cheater
Heathcliff wasn't even the best Guild Master, seeing as he did shit. He just say back and let Asuna do everything.
Also, like I said >>101839871 Klein lost 0 people. KoB lost a few, and even had a traitor.
>klein loses zero people
didnt half his friends in that photo die from the start to the end?
The book explained, he lost Zero people in his whole guild, throughout SAO.
So who thinks the LN will actually deviate from the web-novel?
The Preview was almost 100% a recap, but that first line implies someone dies.
>no luck in romance
>wears not black
True. He is a bit less "awesome," but that's mostly because he's a comic-relief character.
Is Asuna hungry for the cock or is she pure?
>Kirito just survived a life-threatening experience, and is saved thanks to Asuna.
>He asks innocently to stay over at her place
>She instantly thinks about sex.
She's a girl. That means she's a cock hungry slut.
At least SoA gave us good NTR rape doujins.
And soon we will have tender love vanilla yuri with Asuna and Yukki
Next Season it'll give us Amazing Trap Doujins too.
Can a girl still be pure if the only cock she hungers for is her husbando's? What about after they get married?
And now look forward to NTR trap rape doujins.
They weren't even that good, especially compared to the vanilla ones.
The best kind of pure. She still wants the D.
so are they still together in the LNs?
I don't know if it's just me / if I'm weird for this, but I find manga-version SAO Progressive Asuna to be the best version of Asuna. It frontloads the stuff from Mother's Rosario so that she's an actual character.
Sure... until he dies
>I like sword art online
I'll be honest I only watched it for Asuna.
My penis made me do it
But. Omnipotent deities.
It's kinda OOC, though. She's not nearly that publicly assertive at that point in time. She's still a newbie getting her feet wet and mostly in "I don't want no trabble" mode. That last translated chapter of Progressive was all sorts of "what".
>implying only kids enjoy fun stuff
If you take SAO too serious you're going to hurt yourself.
pretty sure kids wouldn't like implied rape
So you want to watch Saitama get utterly wrecked by Kirito?
>Taking SAO too serious will hurt you
That's what I've been doing for the last couple months, though...
>Actively involving myself in SAO discussions, especially those with SAO hate
>ALO spell translation project
>Instigating a secondary translation of Progressive Manga
>Still wanting to waste more of my time on SAO
I think I have an unhealthy obsession with SAO, but I really can't help it. I should probably stop being a NEET...
Take it easy, anon-chan~
You're gonna exhaust yourself before the endless trolling that is going to be season 2. Train yourself to let the hate wash over you.
There's no cure for NEET. Embrace the darkness.
Oh god, Season 2. Currently, I already see how much I'm going to be arguing against the SAO hate. And all the SAO wiki vandalism that's going to come with it.
And then there's the ALO spells to translate, once Mother's Rosario comes around.
i should start training for that. even more knowing that phantom bullet is my favorite arc and sinon is one of my favorite anime characters in general.
Kirito is not King.
Saitama's just bad at games.
>I think I have an unhealthy obsession with SAO, but I really can't help it. I should probably stop being a NEET...
One of the best techniques to deal with a tune stuck in your head is to drive it out by getting a different one stuck in your head.
Go start reading the Mahouka novel translations, and the anime starts in April. It'll give you something to obsess over AND a bunch of troll threads to practice dodging bait in.
Just a word of advice: Don't try to argue against the hate. People will hate it for any reason they want. Whatever. If anything, just correct any blatantly incorrect rumor/speculation is going around. You'll be busy enough with that as is.
Most popular female LN character yet to show up in an anime (#8 in overall rankings). Even beat out Miyuki from Mahouka (#9 in overall rankings).
>daring him to defend Mahouka from trolls
You're going to kill him, anon.
/a/ has gone down hill to accept SAO. This anime is horrible. Everything is shit. They spent an episode for fishing in a game. Kirito is the only one with special dual wielding skill. At least they have other special skill in SAO. Wait Kirito is the first one to gain special skill. Where are the others?
Romance came from fucking nowhere. And they break game rules like it is fucking glass. Season 2 will have Kirito use a light saber in a gun game. A light saber. Kirito seems to be the only one to get a special trap body. Well at least they have characters on equal level of skills with Kirito. Oh, they don't. So Kirito is the only special charater in the whole game.
>Go start reading the Mahouka novel translations
Tried. Didn't like it. It wasn't so much as boring, but it took making the MC special, to a whole new level.
The first two books were sort of just focused on making him more overpowered. I wouldn't have minded so much, if the whole thing didn't pretend he wasn't Overpowered.
Of course, I only made it to Chapter 9, in Volume 2. Don't know how the rest progresses, so I'll just watch the anime, and get back to the LN half-way.
Hmm, yeah, I mostly try to do that. Information correction. Occasionally though, I venture too far, and instead get into the history lesson of how "SAO isn't meant to be a blah blah blah", and such.
I try to be unbiased, and admit that the author's writing isn't perfect, and pretty bad in the beginning, and completely unplanned, but yeah.
No. King knows how to do infinite combo. Its not Saitama that is bad King is just to OP.
Every instance of Saitama playing a game ends with him losing.
>Romance came from fucking nowhere
SAO was written as a Romance first, everything else, second. (More or less)
>And they break game rules like it is fucking glass
This is a common theme in the author's works. If you don't like it, I really can't argue with you. But aside from that, this is consistent through-out SAO and AW,
>Kirito use a light saber in a gun game. A light saber
He also uses a Gun. People seem to omit that a lot.
>Kirito seems to be the only one to get a special trap body
The only main character who does. It's not like it's impossible for anyone else to get it, or anything.
>Well at least they have characters on equal level of skills with Kirito. Oh, they don't.
Sinon would be about Equal, I would say. The only reason she lost to him was... really, she only lost because she didn't want to kill him, for some reason...
Also, the main villain seems to be better than him, soooo...
Everyone mentions the anime has tons of breaking game rules, but I can't recall much outside of Aincrad's climax.
>complaining about the light saber
I hope the anime can spare some time to talk about Gabriel's bullshit. Both times. Freedom stronk.
>Asuna running several kilometers in 5-10 minutes, (which was said to be beyond what her parameters should allow)
>Asuna ignored paralysis status
>Kirito slowed down his death
And one time in ALO (that I believe was Anime-only)
>Kirito uses a "Sword Skill" that looks like a fucking torpedo of light, as he eats through hundreds of guardians.
I don't think we ever see Kirito do anything like this ever again, through-out the series, until Alicization, where he brings flowers back to life
And then there's the web-novel.
Also, I'm pretty sure the villain of GGO is somehow doing something similar, when he dodges a sniper bullet he can't see, from a sniper he shouldn't know was there
This is the biggest inditement of the series necessary. The writer had a really interesting idea as it relates to what happens to people integrating back into society after the trauma of being locked in a life or death MMO and could've done some excellent Welcome to the NHK class work but instead pisses away all that potential re-making .HACK with his sad little Gary-Stu self-insert
I know your pain.
Same here. I bought the limited edition blu rays.
My life is over.
>Written at the same time as .hack
>Project .hack was the first project of the .hack series. It launched in 2002 with the PlayStation 2 game .hack//Infection and the anime series .hack//Sign.
>Reki Kawahara wrote the first volume in 2002 as a competition entry for ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Game Novel Prize
Note: I said After they got out of the original game, so my point still stands, after the first arc stop apeing .HACK and take it in an original direction
I've never understood why anyone compares SAO to .hack beyond the superficial "trapped in a MMORPG" trait.
They only could have seen one side to possibly make this connection. Might as well compare Bleach to YuYu Hakusho, because they're both about ghosts and stuff.
Romance is just added there without developing it. Can I ask how do they break the game because you can't actually break programming. Kayaba actually looked suprise that Kirito break his game. He uses a light saber to cut bullets. Gun doesn't man anything if most of the time you are going to use a light saber. Nobody else was shown to get the special body. You can argue when there is somebody else that get the special body. Didn't Sinon lose to Kirito. Also the one character that is equal level with him also craves Kirito D. The main villain is better than him now but Kirito will pull some bullshit to win.
Actually Bleach is copying yuyy hakusho.
The first 2 arcs of Bleach actually have a lot in common with the main arcs of Hakusho so that analogy works against you and the point is not superficial. SAO starts out with the novel concept of true-death and PTSD but throws it away and becomes "and then there's this world with its problems, then there's THIS world" becoming more and more like .HACK
>The main villain is better than him now but Kirito will pull some bullshit to win.
Literally every single time, barring Heathcliff, the main villain is better than him until somebody on the side has to save him.
>Romance is just added there without developing it
The first book was written as a Romance. The Anime decided to adapt the story chronologically, by adding everything else in between.
>Can I ask how do they break the game because you can't actually break programming. Kayaba actually looked suprise that Kirito break his game
Like I said. The author likes to use the idea that Human will trumps a computer system.
>He uses a light saber to cut bullets. Gun doesn't man anything if most of the time you are going to use a light saber
He only uses it to block some of the bullets that would hit his vitals. In GGO, the game displays where a bullet is going to hit, so you can try to dodge.
I don't remember how often he used the light saber though. I should probably reread that arc before the anime starts.
>Nobody else was shown to get the special body. You can argue when there is somebody else that get the special body
But the body does nothing. What's the point? It was only used as a gag, to get him to meet up with Sinon, and to make fun of Kirito. Almost literally.
>Didn't Sinon lose to Kirito
Yes, but like I said, she could have killed him easily, but she didn't take the chance, because Kirito wasn't fighting back.
Also, in the original web novel, Sinon won the final tournament, and beat Kirito. But when it was published, they changed it, so that Sinon gives Kirito a bomb to kill them both.
>Also the one character that is equal level with him also craves Kirito D.
Nope. Sinon doesn't want his D. Not as far as anyone could tell, anyways.
>The main villain is better than him now but Kirito will pull some bullshit to win.
He has his ass saved, if I remember correctly.
That's all bullshit and you know it anon, stop being delusional.
SAO in general is badly written, you can't deny it.
What part is bullshit, exactly?
All I did was state a bunch of facts. The last point is more of an observation though.
The second point might be Bullshit, but....
If you count harem as romance. I can easily see Kirito playing around with every girl he runs into.
>Broken game rules
Well yeah, Kirito kinda just fucks with the rules.
>Characters on par with Kirito
Kirito breaks rules (see above) so unless the person opposing is cheating (and even then they still lose), Kirito will always have the advantage.
But this isn't a harem. We've gone over this before. There are 3 girls total, that make it clear they like Kirito. One gives up as soon as she learns her best friend likes him too, and the other pretty much feels guilty the whole time for liking him, being cousins and all.
When I say it's a "Romance first," I'm saying that the first book was written as a romance between Asuna and Kirito.
Lisbeth and Silica (if you want to add Silica to his "harem") were just in side-stories used to fill in gaps in the 2 year time-skip the First novel had.
>Fucking with the rules
Kirito does this twice in the anime.
Any maybe 1 or 2 more times after the anime. Like Bringing digital flowers back to life,
>on par with Kirito
Like I said above, he only "breaks the rules" twice in the anime.
In the second arc, against Sugou, he only wins because Heathcliff gave him his account, to nullify Sugou's adminship.
And in the third arc, against Death Gun, he needed help from Sinon.
So yes, he has the "advantage" of help.
So anyone curious how the author's other story about Aliens will go?
He has another story? About aliens?
It's going to start publication in June.
I decided to check out the web-novel version he has up on the web-site, and the prologue seems to be talking about Aliens...
>Hollow Fragment will include Argo
>I likely will never play it
And I'm depressed now.
