I need something to read until Guts gets off of the boat. I was searching around and I heard about the Guin Saga. Has anybody read it? This work supposedly influenced miura and has been running for about 30 years now. What does /a/ think about it?
Miura will follow the author's footsteps in a variety of ways. Specifically, dying before he can see the completion of his own work.
isn't Guin Saga doing that boat thing too?
yeah, they're on an eternal boat because the author is dead
I enjoyed the anime ... enough to look into the novels. iirc original author passed away before finishing. Don't remember if some one took up her torch or not.
You can only read Guin if you understand Moon. Only 3 out of 130 volumes were translated in the English due to lack of interest and no translator has been bothered to take up the jobs themselves in spite of this series having the cultural significance akin to Tolkien in the west. Sales were abysmal. Faggots preferred to buy their moe bullshit that year than support this gem. Also the Author is dead.
is Claymore worth reading?
There was literally no advertising for this manga in the first place, so nobody even knew when they did come out.
