How do you prefer your sports animu?
The more realistic ones like Major and Giant Killing.
Or the better turn my brain off for them finishing moves like Inazuma Eleven and Eyeshield 21.
fun ones with fun protags.
My favorite sport anime are Major and Touch, so I'd say I prefer the realistic ones.
The original Inazuma Eleven seasons are godtier. It starts to derail from GO and afterwards. Chrono Stone is a trainwreck.
I enjoy my bi-montly Captain Tsubasa chapter, but I don't mind a more realistic take like Giant Killing.
What I hate though are people who complain about the lack of realism in sports manga and anime (purists). If they wanted hardcore realism, it's easier to turn on a sports channel.
I just finished one outs and it was fantastic
I prefer my sports animu filled with cute girls. Which is why Bamboo Blade was best sport manga and anime ever created.
I love galactic football.
Captain Tsubasa is fun.
It was really innovative for the time. Inazuma Eleven just copied it hardcore, even right down to the nintendo games.
I liked go and it's first op. Dropped it at chrono stone.
I have to ask, what was the first name for GO's first OP? It's been a while since i watched it.
TENNNNNN MADE TODOKE
More realistic is preferred.
Exceptions: 1. I don't really how sport X works, so I'm not bothered by the absurdity and 2. Just goes to the deep end of unrealistic without bullshit explanation
How about Taisho Yakyuu Musume?
Inazuma is Tsubasa on crack. Saying it's a copy is misguided, and I love both.
Also, the games are pretty different, you have a lot more freedom in the IE games.
Chrono Stone is a train wreak because it has so many wasted, unsatisfying plotlines and WAY too much focus on Tenma, it should have been Fei Lune's own story without Tenma.
Galaxy is a major improvement due to a brand new team who isn't apart of the Inazuma GO Trio (Tenma, Tsurugi, and Shindou), but I will warn you, it does get batshit insane when you finish the qualifying rounds.
I love both. My favorites have to be Giant Killing, Ippo, and Slam Dunk.
Kuroko no Basuke, Eyeshield 21, and loliball are entertaining as well.
Do we get dinosaurs?
We get aliens, angels, demons, but no dinosaurs.
Chihayafuru, Ippo and Ookiku are my tops.
Saki as well if you count that.
In Chrono Stones, yes we do get dinosaurs
Oh and aliens, we get real aliens in Galaxy, not the Alius Academy humans who just pretend to be aliens, and one alien princess wants to bone Tsurugi real hard.
I like both, but the one thing superpowered series have over realistic ones is that they can go in any direction. For example, I wouldn't care if some hilariously unbelievable development happened in a series with superpowers. But when a relatively realistic series goes full retard at the end it kind of dampens the entire thing for me.
A short while ago I finished Ginga e Kickoff. No super powers or anything, though of course the kids were better than they had any right being, but I can overlook that. But it just made me roll my eyes when a bunch of elementary school kids faced real life soccer players and beat them while yelling at them about friendship.
That's not to say it was bad or anything, though. It was immensely enjoyable. I just wish the last few episodes were different.
Tsurugi x Lalaya OTP so hard
God, I miss Erika so much.
I miss all of them. The whole team was fun.
I won't disagree, but she was probably my main reason to watch. Her and Reika.
Makes me wonder why some guys in IE can be much cuter than the girls.
I like my sports anime/manga either incredibly realistic or really, really magical and silly. Not so much a fan of the inbetween ones like Basugay.
Each to their own. I loved how stupid Chrono Stone was, best season in my opinion.
I miss Kariya a lot in Galaxy. I understand why he's not in the main cast, if there was another non-Inazuma trio team member in there it would have have to of been Shinsuke (or Kirino due to his popularity but Raimon does still need a captain) but I feel I'd be enjoying it a lot more if he was still relevant.
New episode never
I prefer with good drama and/or comedy. The sports can be realistic or unrealistic, I don't really care.
>bi-montly Captain Tsubasa
...It's still being made?
same here, add well-made tension to that. It's not like I know anything about sports anyway.
I've been rewatching Akagi, still know shit about mahjong but it's entertaining as fuck.
I like them to have super powers that are based on what people can actually do, like kuroko
inuzuma is just too ridiculous
I really wonder what comes after aliens
Fucking kicking planets about as soccer balls.
>I've been rewatching Akagi, still know shit about mahjong
Chrono Stone might be shit but Beta is best girl.
i was glad she's not a trap[/trap]
She might not be a trap but her crazy/serious voice is exactly the same as her seiyuu's Killua voice and it confused the hell out of my dick.
She is best and I love how they ditched Gamma in only 2 episodes
Chrono Stone was definitely weird at times but I'd say it was pretty good.
It was okay but kind of weird at times
Paradogs and shit
Not the biggest fan of sports manga, but Hajime no Ippo is one of my favourite manga of all time.
So I guess you could say the more realistic ones, as that allows for more realistic character development.
I like both. Eyeshield 21 is definitely one of my favorites so I might have a slight leaning towards superpowered ones because of >>101796329
You know what was really awesome about Inazuma GO? Remember how the beginning of the show was really really depressing and dark for Inazuma Eleven? Like Tsurugi being a douche, the whole controlled soccer thing, Tenma getting the shit beat out of him every time he went on the field.
And then there was that feeling of "RAIMON IS SAVED" when Endou really came back. The first episodes of Go were really amazing
The best thing about Inazuma Eleven was when it turned out best girl actually won
The ending games made up for it in my mind. They did introduce a lot of stuff in a short period but I end up comparing it to the Aliea Academy arc and it didn't end up with some of the same problems that had.
Chihayafuru is my favorite 'sports' anime, but ti's not really very sports.I love Slam dunk and Hajime no Ippo too.
But muh Fuyu
Movie subs when?
His wife changed between versions of the game anyway.
>Best Girl won
