Why is Magi so good? And why is it so rare for a battle shonen/adventure series to be as good as Magi is? I'm currently halfway through the released episodes of Kingdom of Magic, and the last four episodes I watched were some of the best anime episodes I watched this season.
If I had to describe this series in a nutshell, I think I'd describe it as Avatar + Harry Potter on steroids. Not in a shitty generic way though, it only resembles the good parts of those series, not shitty pandering shit like "Dumbledore is gay".
The anime sucks in comparison to the manga though, OP.
I dropped it a while ago, S2 ep 09
I think I picked up the manga when I couldn't wait a week, then I got hooked on the manga. However, reading it on a screen hurt my eyes. So I just dropped magi altogether
I've heard the first season isn't as good. Is it worth watching so I can get to the second one, or am I just wrong all around?
First season was pretty mediocre OP, but the second season is fucking great. Prepare you anus
I liked it until Cassim was introduced and Alibaba started acting like a faggot
>implying that Ali won't die a virgin
>implying that Ali ever will score a girlfriend
Just read the manga, you'll get through it quicker and won't miss out on stuff they cut out.
Implying my OTP will sink
OP here, I enjoyed the first season very much. But if others say it isn't that good than whatever.
The Dumblejew arc was the worst.
It started good, but that awful powerlevel ending killed my love for the manga.
And Titus a shit.
Agree with you. I just watched the S2 ep 18 and can't wait one fucking week to see 19.
However I had a hard time getting my Fairytailfag friend to like it because Aladin is not natsu and there isn't the "super epic music in battle like in Fairy Tail" he told me.
