Fucking SamFlam. Becomes great show, AOTS saving anime, complete shit, boring shit, and now AOTS again in single episode.
Can they decide at last, if they want it to be good show or shit? I am sure they`ll ruin it in next episodes once again.
>yfw Moe wins da flameng al
I`ll not compare it to early sam flam - it did not have episodes so focused on drama as this one. But it was nice again to see episode focused on the characters, instead of stupid Kamen Rider rip off.
Of course it's a Kamen Rider rip-off. It's a parody series. For the most part, you're not meant to take it seriously. Though it does have a message.
Now that Moe is a focus again, its question of time until she dies and breaks Mari now entirely.
The show is bipolar. That means next week things are going to get crazy again. The title is "Ultimate Prime Minister", what do you expect?
It was good show until Guilotine Gorilla. It was great show until end of King Torture ark. It went total shit after and only in last 2 episodes slowly recovers.
She does indeed.
>ever being AOTS
Guilotine Gorilla was the best and most discussed thing that happened in last season. Get out, newfag.
This.It was a good show but not AOTS.
We all know the AOTS Nagi no Asukara
>most discussed automatically means its AOTS
oh god you are killing me here anon
Except Mako is kill in every episode. You're wrong.
SamFlam is ROTY
Rollercoaster Of The Year
I need more girls kissing girls.
But the Beyond arc is the most important arc for a reason. It's when the show finally begins to shed light on what it's actually about. It's about Masayoshi finding out that being a hero is not what he thought it would be. Sometimes you will have to make difficult decisions and you may not be able to save everyone.
Rules of nature.
I was torn between NnA and SamFlam, honestly. But I have to give it to NnA.
Who wins the Masayoshib owl, /a/?
Guillotine Gorilla threads were some of the shittiest I have ever seen.
Are you guys ready for nanomachines?
Someone post that VA with their character list.
played college ball ya know?
This episode was perfect. Too bad its been a while we had SamFlam episode like that, and next ones likely to be silly again.
Though there is hope, now that Goto and MMM are in picture again, hope they dont just instantly jump to final fight but focus on character interactions and development again.
>tfw I ship these two both in character and in 3D
He's such a qt.
Why is Masuda such a betamax? He should tap that ass already.
MAO probably has a busy schedule, being both a VA and a live-action actor and all.
Plus, Masuda is celebrating his birthday in a month, just so you guys know, March 8.
>Masuda is celebrating his birthday in a month, just so you guys know, March 8.
We should all sing Happy Birthday to him.
>/a/ sings Happy Birthday to Masuda
Oh lord, please do.
/cm/, /y/,/cgl/ please go and stay go
This could be the live action cast except for maybe black and blue.
Okay, while we're in the topic of VAs...
>Sapphire saying Onii-chan
I am not convinced they are actually in that kind of relationship.
They seem to be friends who like kissing each other.
God bless Erii.
They certainly fuck, but their love is purely platonic.
Mari seems fine kissing anybody it seems.
It's probably one of those Frenchmen greetings where kissing is like saying hi.
I dropped it at ep. 11, is it worth picking up again?
>Mari is a filthy frenchman
Well Moe certainly likes her as more than just a friend.
As a bff? I'm not sure they're really that close, at least as shown so far.
Moe likes Mari romantically.
Mari doesn't because she has the hots for Goto.
Are you simple?
What I expected
>scene infront of Torture HQ
>Flamenco goes inside the Ruin
>He enters KT's collection room
>Hologram of KT
>"Heyo! Flamenco, If you're seeing this, that means I'm dead and you figure out the JapGov's elaborate Ruse"
>"Behind that cabinet lies a suit I designed for you, please use it"
>he opens the cabinet and sees the suit in OP
>"I'm not fit to be a Hero, So uphold Justice for me, See you again, Masayoshi"
what i get
>scene infront of Torture HQ
>I puked but your tears turn me on, Lets make out
So we can all agree that Moe is the moe-est girl of the year right?
I can't remember the last time a show stressed me out like this.
Episodes 11-15 for the most part were awful.
(14 had a touching moment or two)
I felt fucking betrayed, the writers seemed lazy as fuck and all hope was lost.
But now 16 was back to the old SF I knew and loved.
I just wish they didn't tarnish it so much in the process.
I didn't even fucking mind the King Torture Arc, I thought he had potential to be a great villain.
Moe's VA is amazing
It sounds like she recorded in a different booth than all the others
I expecte Mari to meat SamFlam there, hiding form authorities - but what we got was better than any expectations.
Why don't most people get it? This show isn't about AOTS or being good or being shit. It's about going along for the ride. Did you all watch the first episode of Lain and get mad that you didn't know the plot already? SamFlam is like that. Stop trying to analyze it and just sit back and enjoy it.
That gorilla though, I'm going to be telling my grandkids about that.
Its not about "not knowing the plot", its about show being ruined and half the episode being complete trash no one liked.
But it wasn't a good ride, they had a solid thing going early on.
At this point after 16, it just feels so...unseeded, like they were honestly just trying to fuck with us or fill space.
It's like they paused the show, put a new one on and are now resuming the original one after
>half the episodes being trash no one liked
Speak for yourself. And even if you didn't like them, they were required to make sense out of things.
Only in SamFlam will you find an idol singer rolling in her own vomit and exchanging vomit-flavored saliva with her idol friend afterwards.
>I puked but your tears turn me on, Lets make out
Not only did she puke, but she laid in it for some reason.
Mari is a fucking cutie, but I don't think I could kiss her when she just threw up like...not even 5 minutes ago.
Is Masayoshi sexually oblivious? I've never seen him blush before.
Make sense out of what? They couldn't have handled it without being totally fucking random and off the walls then settling back down?
They just seems like shit writers`
How can you say you love someone if you can't even kiss their puke?
>They couldn't have handled it without being totally fucking random and off the walls then settling back down?
They probably could, but thank god they didn't.
They barely even called him Samurai Flamenco for almost 5 episodes in a row.
Something was seriously fucked up when they produced this shit
>Thank god they didn't
Why is that? How did the show benefit from making the show feel shallow as fuck?
His thoughts are filled only with justice.
No one was watching it early on. I liked the realistic super hero angle a lot but even I'll admit that it was getting boring. I thought it was going to be predictable with him getting a realistic villain, at most a crime syndicate or the guy who killed his parents. I would have still enjoyed that show but it wouldn't have been memorable. Just when I though the most predictable show of the season had fallen into its paces, BAM a druggie turns into a fucking gorilla with a guillotine in its stomach. I can't express how amazed I was that an almost SoL turned into a gorilla chopping off police officers' heads. I will never forget this show now.
Moe is too pure for this kind of reasoning.
Best woman, not a girl, a woman.
What, are you looking for some deep plot? This might not be the show for you.
Is there such a thing as lewd justice?
>Just when I though the most predictable show of the season had fallen into its paces, BAM a druggie turns into a fucking gorilla with a guillotine in its stomach. I can't express how amazed I was that an almost SoL turned into a gorilla chopping off police officers' heads. I will never forget this show now.
My thoughts exactly, I had the biggest shit eating grin on my face for that entire scene.
I'm not even talking about King Torture arc, I didn't think that was all that bad. I'm talking about fucking episodes 11-15, where they totally disregard their established world and go "WELL THERE IS A SECRET ORIGINATION AND HEROES WERE REAL ALL ALONG LOL" But then they're like "Oh but wait, actually lets push that to the side, arrest all the heroes cause we wrote ourselves into a corner by introducing them and start heading back to how it was pre-episode 10"
I'm not looking for anything deep you fucking idiot.
I'm looking for a show to not bait and switch so horribly
Episode 11-15 was really geared to people who like sentai shows. I watched them a lot as a kid so I enjoyed those episodes.
>I'm looking for a show to not bait and switch so horribly
Then drop it, and let the rest off us enjoy the ride.
I like Sentai too, but it came out of fucking no where and made the show feel hallow.
If it was like that from the beginning, I wouldn't have an issue. They just upped the silly for almost no reason then tuned it back down. It makes the show feel cheap when it wasn't originally.
>You're not allowed to discuss a show unless you're talking about how great and perfect it is!
Shouldn't you be on reddit or something?
I'll be honest with you though. Personally I feel that after GuilloGorillo and KT, the show had already started the silly ride. Flamengers and From Beyond was just an extension of that and felt just as if not slightly more silly due to how very transparent it seemed.
Things finally feel like they're getting on track atm, the question you should ask yourself is, did you have fun? Did you enjoy the ride?
I certainly did and I certainly am.
>>You're not allowed to discuss a show unless you're talking about how great and perfect it is!
No one is saying that.
But you're complaining about something that is done completely on purpose, and calling it shitty writing. Chances are that you're not going to enjoy the rest of the show.
For me KT's arc was acceptable levels of silly.
Lets say pre KT it was level 2 silly, KT's arc being 3.5 and then after it jumped to like 7.
At least KT's still had some coherent line of sanity/seriousness. KT even had potential to be a good villain.
>Did you enjoy the ride
The ride being 11-15? Fuck no, I was basically cringing through most of it cause it made 1-10 feel like it never happened and was pointless.
I can enjoy silly as fuck shows, but I can't enjoy when it pretends to be serious early on and then jumps into Scary Movie 3 tier of parody for no fucking reason.
Just cause it was done on purpose doesn't make it shitty writing.
And I did enjoy some of ep 15 and all of 16
>I certainly did and I certainly am.
Me too. This is the one show I get excited for every week. I'm enjoying other stuff this season, I'm even watching Kill La Kill but that feels so stagnant next to this show, they all do.
Also if it's going to be a parody, it has to stick with it.
You can't expect an audience to somehow care or feel anything during the serious moments when you've shown you don't respect the world itself.
You want a wacky parody? Then do a fucking wacky parody and I'll enjoy it for that.
Do you want to do something more realistic with a message and drama? Then fucking do that.
Don't mix the two for no fucking reason, neither fucking aspect benefits from the other.
I'm pretty sure everything about this anime is a parody. Even in the serious dramatic moments it feels like either a subtle parody or setup for a crazier moment. The idols making up with Moe wearing a bag on her head and Mari rolling around in her vomit. That's definitely a parody.
A parody of fucking what?
And even then at least it's subtle.
Randomly having a secret organization, giant robots and thousands of heroes existing out of the world without any remote hint at this shit existing in the last TEN episodes is obnoxious and poorly done.
>Well we want to get to this point...but we don't know how to get there so fuck it
It seems like the things you dislike about it are the things that I like about it. I think it's probably because our expectations are completely different.
Yeah tell me about it, it's not like I can't enjoy those things in general. It's just this show didn't hint that it was going to go this balls off the walls in the earlier episodes.
Again if it was like this from the start, it wouldn't bug me in the slightest
But it was a bait and switch which is a damn shame cause they had a great thing going on without doing it
Disagree, GG was absolutely hilarious, and one of the most memorable things from anime in the last few years. The build up is a large part of that.
I guess if you where thinking the show were going to be serious all along you might dislike it, but for me the show always had a certain wacky-ness to it.
You may enjoy whatever you like, but it does not change objective reality that majority felt let down with SamFlam in second half. And the problem is not WHAT happened, aka pure sentai - but the execution: SamFlam lost all its appeal of good character interaction, featured horrible quality animation, and writing itself was nonsensual if not to say nonexistant. It was not even a good sentai show.
And no, its not a "genius behind a planned story". We had correct leaks way before Gorilla, indicating, that authors pretty much had no idea what to do with a show, story was written to the point of gorilla and they just scrambled in hurry.
Neither /a/ nor Japan liked past King Torture episodes. It does not matter what you THINK is intention of authors, if it fails to be entertaining, and thats for all the people that were able to enjoy the show before.
I dont mind King Torture, i dont mind silly aliens and mecha. I do mind shitty execution, completely flat characters and pointless confrontations. In fact, skipping all those episodes you miss litterally nothing of value but rare gotoh moments and Rangers introduction. It was obviously out of place, random and not though out. And transition from King Torture to the Beyound Flamenco was bad not because of "lol monsters and mecha", but because they completel left out all past character development. Hell, even manager suddenly without any problem accepted Masayoshi being super hero and anime just skipped over it.
Thank you, yes.
This guy fucking gets it totally.
How do we revive the best character, /a/?
So much wasted potential, when they showed his toy room and his pictures I thought he was going to have a great fucking origin story.
I really liked this arc, even if the silly got amped up.
It brought up some good issues like monsters becoming every day norms and people stop reacting and Monsters having friends, loyalty and such as well.
I have a problem with this mentality. It's this ADHD more like XD SO RANDUM style culture that ruins shit. The fact that this show happens to do it because, as >>101791730 said, they fucking scrambled and had no idea what they were doing.
It was clear they didn't for the exact reasons and they just made up a spin and you seemed to chew it up like it was intended.
>japan didnt liked KT
>implying japan doesny enjoy Sam flam because its a huge love letter to toku
you just dont have the right taste, sorry kick ass fag
>more like XD SO RANDUM
What? Never seen a Sentai show before?
>Becomes great show
My Little Anon Cannot Possible Be This Delusional.
Even Power Rangers is less random than mid-SF
It has more to do with the fact that the person was infatuated with the randomness factor and thought it was genius. I thought it was funny and much like a Sentai show, but I by no means thought it was "best thing I've seen in years" level of good.
No one has said the show is the best thing they've seen in years, though.
I made that post, so I suggest you read it again.
That's not accurate in the slightest considering up til the latest episode.
The show is incredibly fun, but it doesn't feel like a trainwreck, or LOLSORANDUMxD. You might think it's shitty writing, but I at least love the way the show as gone.
No one likes it because lulsorandumxd. They like it because it's fun and it subverts your expectations. Predictability is only charming for so long.
Mizuki wins the SamFlam
>Predictability is only charming for so long.
>indicating, that authors pretty much had no idea what to do with a show, story was written to the point of gorilla and they just scrambled in hurry.
What? Have you seen the promotional art. This was already planned from the start. It was never meant to be a good sentai show. It was meant to show that super sentai is wacky and have low budget. You say that the show had no idea where it was going because you can't comprehend it just shiw how shallow you are.
The sentai arc was the only arc that wasn't very good. I liked every other arc though.
So, what if Masayoshi was created by the government, like a clone or some shit. It'd explain how they got the From Beyond version of him and it'd explain alot of stuff.
He had the perfect background to be a superhero, "dead parents" and brought up by a grandparent who had just happened to create the samurai flamenco character.
>Masayoshi was created to become flamenco
I just wish this show would end soon. This is getting embarrassing.
Masayoshi's name has the characters "Justice" in it.
>Masayoshi's is Samurai Flamenco, a hero created by his grandfather
>The Flamengers and Samurai Base were derived from Samurai Flamenco
>The Flamengers was formed many years ago
Imagine how titillating this would be without the QUALITY.
Final arc Masayoshi goes evil for a while after discovering the truth, before Goto brings him back to the side of justice
Or kills him
Oh god that caught me off guard so bad, but I don't know why I forgot about that lesbian love.
Because the lesbian love is completely one-sided.
Mari a shit
/r/ing source on the third panel
I really don't think google would give me results for that.
Very, a little under 6 months?
I'll try cropping and then reverse searching if your not helping.
>I really don't think google would give me results for that.
You don't think enough then.
Or you could just, you know, google "multi track drifting"
You must be new to the internet in general if you've never heard of multi track drifting.
Don't bother anyway, the source isn't fully translated and probably never will be.
Well thanks for the help, I found it.
No worries, I may be new to the internet but I can read raw manga just fine.
But he's in hiding right now.
>Implying he wouldn't have stolen it if the dude hadn't woken up
>but I can read raw manga just fine.
You lucky bastard. I wish I knew how to read moonrunes.
Is Mari the worst friend ever in the history of anime?
Don't wish anon, learn.
Will we ever see Goto's girlfriend?
>Masayoshi tells her the news in person
Only if you buy the BD's, goyim.
But Masayoshi has been around since ep. 1
We already have.
second the no. save yourself the satisfaction of having watched the only good parts of the show.
Except this week's episode was the best so far in the entire series.
Goto is Masayoshi's Moe.
Goto loves Masayoshi, but Masayoshi is purely justicesexual.
Just like how Moe loves Mari but Mari is purely "justice"sexual.
Next one will be better now that Goto and Masayoshi are together again. Best friendship.
It depends. What are you expecting from the show?
nah. It was picking up pace at an accelerating rate. By the time he obtained his weapons, I was on the edge of my seat. Then they just threw it out the window along with that cop and monkey.
They are bros, anon. Not gay. Okay, maybe Gotou is slightly gay.
Why is Mari not sexually attracted to Hazama?
Hazama is famous, has a luxury apartment, great fashion sense, and 10/10 male model looks
Gotou's just an average cop
Isn't the other way around?
Hazama outshines her and Mari can't stand being less popular than someone.
>'oh yeah, meet my girlfriend'
Masayoshi is attractive, but he acts like a child. Goto is a man, and handsome.
It's the uniform dude.
Because she has a cop uniform fetish.
I wonder why Moe doesn't dress up to seduce her, knowing this.
No. Masayoshi probably isn't good at romance or has little to no knowledge about it.
Because Mari is excentric as fuck so she has some strange fetishes.
Not gonna happen, they have already met.
>Someone as cute as Masayoshi
>no knowledge about romance
I'm assuming this but Masayoshi is attractive enough to warrant at least a few school girls to give him chocolate on Valentine's day back when he was in high school. I mean, he IS a male model after all.
>implying a cop/uniform fetish is something oh so strange
I'm going to be disappointed if they don't fuck.
Yeah but he's got the whole JUSTICE thing going for him. He was probably a weird kid back then.
Well you are right, but she takes it kinda far.
This. No matter how cute you are, girls will laugh at you if you are still obsessed with superheroes in high school.
If episode 24 isn't a massive orgy I'll slam a door on my dick.
He managed to hide it well enough to land a job.
No? Masayoshi was able to hide his Samurai Flamenco antics from Manager for a very long time and he was able to control himself from bursting out into singing the Red Axe scene during that scene with Mari and the music video.
Really? I thought he was average looking before he became a model?
Nope. The guy was scouted by the agency.
You can be a mental retard but if you're good looking people will still like you
Where do you live that kissing like that is friendly? That was undoubtedly a sexual kiss.
I want to fuck Kotone
here's one I saved
Does anyone have a stitch of Samurai Flamenco with his back towards the camera during the hobo's speech?
This was definitely the best one.
