so I am not a big anime watcher I watched death note many years ago and enjoyed it greatly but never watched anything related since. until recently I was recommended Code Geass, i saw it was only 50 episodes so i agreed to watch it.
I watched it over two evenings and finished it minutes ago, It was so intense i can barely type. i know its a cliche thing to say but that was an emotional rollercoaster.
does anyone want to talk about the show or have any recommendations? i also feel like i need help coping with the last 15 episodes
Nani mai honey
>having trouble coping
Try killing yourself
Google "anime recommendations" and there should be an /a/ wiki on the first page. Also, recommendation threads don't belong on this board. Also, lurk more.
The way you write seems like you are not a troll. Ill say this for your own good. Please leave /a/. You will only get angry if you stay. Google is your friend.
His last sentence reeks of troll
I know exactly how you feel, code geass was one of the first animes I watched. Sadly, nothing I have watched since compares with it. There are however a few other animes you can check out that will most likely interest you though. I recommend watching them in this order.
Cromartie High School
you should know though that /a/ despises code geass and you should refrain from saying that you enjoy it here in the future
Gundam 00 came close.
Rec threads are not allowed here.
>/a/ despises code geass
thanks, i'll take a look at those.
any reason why code geass is despised?
sorry about the recommendation thread, i meant no ill will
>/a/ despises code geass
Not the anon you were talking to, but it's because most people on /a/ think they're hot shit after they've seen around 100 anime, so they think they're too cool for entry anime like CG. /a/ is filled with pretentious fucks who label things as "shit" with no real reasons to back it up other than "I didn't like it so it's BAD". Code Geass will always be one of my favorites. Everything about it was great.
Stop typing like you are on a anime blog or some other shitty website. We don't like crappy grammar here.
I dislike how nunally turned on lulu so easily
anon said, gundam 00 actually did manage to capture a lot of the spirit of code geass, and it is worth watching if you are looking for an anime in the same vein, you might even consider watching it before the other animes I mentioned earlier
The reason /a/ dislikes code geass is pretty much what this anon said
but some people might also not like how cheesy it can be at times.
Yeah, same. It must be shit then.
>it's because most people on /a/ think they're hot shit after they've seen around 100 anime
> /a/ is filled with pretentious fucks who label things as "shit" with no real reasons to back it up other than "I didn't like it so it's BAD"
/a/ labels things as shit because they are shitty. With a few exceptions of blatant trolling which you should be able to see through. If you haven't watchrf enough anime to know most of the tropes and cliches you should not be posting like you know what you are talking about.
>Code Geass will always be one of my favorites. Everything about it was great.
Code Geass was enjoyable but by no means a good anime. It's plot was full of cliches, tropes, and general fallacies. Animation was lacking and full of QUALITY. Characters were forced at times. Music was great though.
This anon is not an idiot. I strongly disagree with him, and I feel like he has a bit of /a/-syndrome, but his opinion is not worthless.
Mirai Nikki or Canaan worth considering?
No watch Boku no Pico instead.
>Boku no Pico
no one is that new
You clearly are new if you're asking for recommendations on /a/
Try "Code: Breaker"
I liked Mirai Nikki and Code Geass a lot. Give it a try.
Nothing good will come out of this thread.
here is a list of stuff you can watch. but be warned some of the recommendations are not that good
you can also try Mirai Nikki , NGE , Cowboy Bebop , Samurai Champloo , Elfen Lied , Guilty Crown , stiens;gate...
>Code Geass was enjoyable but by no means a good anime. It's plot was full of cliches, tropes, and general fallacies. Animation was lacking and full of QUALITY. Characters were forced at times. Music was great though.
Conversely, I'd say the show had its issues but by no means was a bad anime.
Almost every anime has cliches and tropes but they are not inherently bad, and several of them were combined or reversed in an interesting manner.
Anime as a whole is also a form of media where the standard style is based on limited animation and budget cutting, so why single this one out? There was still a decent amount of nicely animated scenes from time to time.
Fallacies? That's irrelevant unless you believe the show wanted to be a historical documentary or something.
Characters were "forced" at times? Depends on what you meant by that, because obviously twists would logically cause people to change their behavior, but the important part is that the protagonist still keep true to himself.
