I have a question.

If the author decided he was going to make Asuna absolutely perfect and flawless, stronk in battles, ultimate waifu, etc etc, why does he make her so irrelevant/sideline character in later LNs? I mean he even goes back and fixes stuff for the better in Progressive, including her character.

And yet for such an important heroine in the first two story arcs, the lack of her presence in later novels allows Gary to acquire more females that'll won't win his D anyway. Isn't this unfair to those girls? Can't Asuna maintain a relatively important role in the story, even if other heroines are the focus in them? Why so skewed?

Kirito.

she already glopped kirito. no reason to focus on conquered pussy.

Explain further

Yeah but she can still be there as the dutiful waifu right? She's no pushover when it comes to fighting, and since Kirito has to "save the game/world" in most of the following arcs, can't she help him there?

I mean, you can have situations where they're separated by long distances and she's leading another party of reinforcements, while Kirito and Girl X are building a strong relationship elsewhere.

I just started watching the anime. I'm on a couple hour break after watching the first ten episodes. Gonna finish it soon.

It's a waste, honestly. Every girl in the SAO verse is defined by how much they lust after the MC. Asuna already got plowed in the first arc so she's finished.

i like how her character development went.

first a poor little girl trapped in a world she doesn't know, then a strong independent woman who needs no man, then a crazy stalker, then a girlfriend, then a wife, then a stepmother, then a princes trapped in a castle, and then by volume 5 in the LN she's thankfuly gone.

this way we can get new and interesting characters and take away any kind of love triangle a new character may bring because kirito has a real girlfriend already.

>Every girl in the SAO verse
>three girls are every girl

It's even worse than a love triangle.

At least a love triangle can be interesting.

In SAO it's just "Kirito meets new girl, gets off to a bad start to her, but since he's so swag she falls for him, then at the end of the arc she finds out he already has a girlfriend and is left heartbroken, rinse and repeat".

Either actually do something interesting with the love development or DON'T MAKE EVERY FUCKING GIRL FALL FOR KIRITO IN THE FIRST PLACE (then get heartbroken).

How else am I going to self-insert?

This sequence of events, or anything like that, happens twice in all of SAO. (Lisbeth, then Leafa)
And the first time, he wasn't even "with" Asuna. She just backed off.

And Alice.
And arguably Sinon.

>Alice
Maybe later into the Web Novel, but it's possible to change in the Light Novel
>Sinon
Barley "arguably", as there isn't any real hints, other than mild teasing, which was long after her arc took place.

Regardless there wasn't any kind of "heartbreak"

It's a LN series that borders on harem building, can't be helped.
