So I'm curious, is there anyone who only got into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure recently because of the anime?
I'm just glad the series is getting more love, and it would actually be nice to see that the new anime had the effect of luring in new fans.
I read stardust crusaders after i saw the anime a couple months ago. Im now reading part 4, and im amazed how consistent the quality is.
I would have never taken interest in JOJO if I hadn't kept seeing the "IT WAS ME DIO" all the time. To be fair though I did watch the Jotaro vs Dio OVA before then because the idea of stands was amazing. I hadn't followed up on the series til now though. Can't wait for Stardust Crusaders
I watched the anime, then felt guilty, so I started reading at Part 2, and now I'm on 5
I recommend skipping straight to part 4.
I'm actually kind of worried about Part 3. Might be great but I doubt it can match the OVAs for presentation and animation.
That and I'm a sucker for that old 90's hyper-shading that created delicious swaths of rich colour.
I don't think it'll have any problems beating all the episodes except the D'arby episode and the Dio fight. Those were perfectly done, I don't think they can be topped.
for more Jojo
Yep. Watched the anime and found it fucking glorious. Then the manga, oh my, what a ride it was.
Next JJL chapter when?
>So I'm curious, is there anyone who only got into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure recently because of the anime?
Started reading the manga after that, and fuck, I didn't know that somebody is redoing part 4, so I went full DUWANG.
I saw the old ova in passing and got interested.
Then I read all the JoJo over the course of the next few months.
Now I'm all caught up, waiting for more JoJolion.
Jojo gave me a feeling so complicated
You are me from a month ago. Just picked up part 5.
If you go by Super Action Statue prices it's fair to assume that a lot of people got into JoJo due to the anime. Right after the anime aired the price of at least 70% of the figures in the line increased by a crazy amount. Although that doesn't necessarily mean they were new fans. Could just be that otaku bandwagon instinct, JoJo has always been really popular in Japan.
Oh my God!
I want that Kira/Kirra Queen/Stray Cat so bad.
I started watching the anime after the first few episodes were out because of a /co/ thread where some guy linked the d'arby episode of the OVA. Loved the anime then read 3-7.
i picked the manga up because i loved the anime
i'm on part 5 right now, and i can already say that i don`t like giogio one bit, but i'll just read it as fast as possible, i want to get to part 7.
by the way is the rest of the cast of part 5 likeable at all so i can not care al all about giorno?
my fucking sides
I only knew about the old anime OVA's and I was actually going to watch those. Then my friend told me about the 2012 version, since then I've read up to part 7 haha. So glad I got into it.
I watched from episode 5 through the end in one day, and now I'm reading part 3. Are there better scans out there? this is painful
Ha-ha, holy shit.
Friendly reminder there will be an official English release of part 3 manga this year.
Ive wanted to read JoJo for some time then the anime happened and Ive started reading it after the announcement for part 3, finished stone ocean last week..
Araki is my husbando.
I didnt get into jojo till 2010, read to part 4, decided DUWANG was unbearable, came back in 2012 and restarted part 4, was a mix of better translations and DUWANG, but I came to love it. It has its own charm. I've read everything but part 8, waiting for it to finish.
Speaking of part 8 anyone been keeping up with it? Seems like shits about to go down.
Still no idea how that architect guy's stand work.
I just started reading part 8 yesterday
mfw part 7 ending
I had watched some of the OVA like 6 years ago and I knew it existed for even longer. But yeah, the 2012 anime got me into it. It was just a more faithful adaptation.
We all cried with Gyro
That page made me like Norisuke.
I wonder if eventually he's gonna be a villain or not.
