Ryuko is the villain. The story is told from her perspective.
-Subjects herself to Satsuki and The Elite 4.
-Doesn't care about saving the world from REVOCS.
-Out for revenge.
-Reacts based on emotion.
-Is good, which automatically puts her morality above Ryuko, who is a degenerate for the most part.
-Has a genuine enemy in Matoi who attacks her school when more important things are going on.
-Doesn't fight Matoi out of any sense of hatred.
When you think about the situation in terms of a normal Japanese high school it's clear Ryuko is just the edgy girl who runs with the bad crowd. She attends a new school and clashes with Satsuki who is the beloved good girl. Nudist Beach are the older guys Ryuko rebels with and Mako is the sensitive girl who sees the good in her plight. Satsuki was violated by her evil mother and just wants the best for people.
Just picture the show from Satsuki's perspective. I'm sure they both believe they're doing good, but who has the better reason for fighting?
>Taking a joke serious
>Ryuko is the villain.
Stopped reading there.
it's like I'm reading an essay from a grade 7 english class
Stopped reading there.
Satsuki said herself last episode that her goal has turned her into a bitch. Nah.
>Kill la Kill
Started reading there.
this is not something someone past highschool would seriously write. you're either a decent troll or need to stop watching cartoons and pick up a book
You're over-analyzing anime.
>Her dad looks like a stereotype mad scientist
>Her uniform is black
>"Fresh Blood" as opposed to "Purity"
But in the early episodes Ryuuko wrecks shit in school, gets her ass beat and then runs away.
Does that sound like something a villain would do?
>ryuuko wants equality
>satsuki wants to dominate
>ragyo wants to be dominated
No she's clearly the good guys.
Don't forget their last fight, where Satsuki had to depend on her subordinates to keep pace with Ryuko's transformations
This is one of the reasons I like this show so much: Both sides of the conflict are so morally gray that you could argue that the protagonist is actually the antagonist and vice-versa.
There's the third party of Revocs that is clearly evil, but the fight between Ryuko and Satsuki isn't good guys vs bad guys, it's just two people, opposite in every way except their gender, fighting each other for no real reason except the world isn't big enough for both of them.
It seems like this show is taking the Madoka path.
I've mentioned this before when the character designs are out. Ryuuko is somehow representing the devil, senketsu battle form has horns and the overall black and red color while satsuki is something that's representing the heavens with wing shaped head adornments when transformed (not to mention junketsu=purity). Though plot wise i'm seeing something more as devil may cry 4 where the devil is the good and the angels are the evil.
I don't know why almost everyone is acting like a faggot, but you're mostly right OP. Satsuki is good, Ryuuko is a worthless slut out for revenge.
Neither do I. I thought this was a fairly common train of thought ever since we were shown Gamagori's memory with Satsuki saving that student with the trampoline.
>Satsuki has been shown doing nothing but using force, fear and power to ultimately do nice things in all the flashbacks so far
>i... is she the good guy?
