holy shit no
>>
It's young Kaiji.

If it was in the future, they'd be playing for almost no money
>>
They probably brought him in to get more young viewers interested and promptly got rid off him when having a young naive guy around wasn't fitting
>>
>>10175887
isn't Kaiji's timeline in the future?
>>
>>10175925
Kaij takes place in like 1996.

But Akagi's so boring without any supporting cast
>>

I know that. But what about AFTER Urabe?
>>
>>10175867
who knows, kishimoto could re-take him for next stories of akagi
>>
>>10175977
......
Ten IS after Urabe.
>>

Akagi is pretty cool

I was hooked up to episode 13 then when Akagi started explaining his win to Urabe. I went lol wut? and stopped watching. It's probably a lot more enjoyable if you know how to play mahjong

You picked exactly the right time to drop Akagi.

The second half is terrible.
