What does /a/ think of Shaman King?
Read the manta ignore the anime 'til before beginning of the main tournament.
I've never read the manga but the anime was pretty fun
Best girl coming through.
what's the deal with the legos
Anime is shit.
Manga is amazing.
FLOWERS is still shit, could be better when Flower of Maize starts.
I just realized Yoh wears his headphones behind his ears
Shit must be uncomfortable all the time
Hana Gumi is still best
Marion is bestest
pink hair = insta-worst
Really enjoyed it until the revival bullshit.
Speaking of gay.
Tamao is not even better than Anna.
Probably best beta.
The manga was great but the anime needs a reboot with better graphics.
Was it rape?
They conceived Hana there?
there was consent
I think so. I don't think it's confirmed though.
Takes some balls(and a lenient editor) to do this in Weekly JUMP
2000s JUMP was still cool with stuff like this.
That's too subtle for kids.
>Latest Jump manga has attempted rape in the first chapter
Attempted rape is fine.
This. That's hardly anything to infer in that scene and it can go either way if your mind is not constantly in the gutter. Though the fact that Anna was expecting when the question is asked to Yoh towards the end it kinda confirms it.
I don't really think they had sex later that night.
Well the question was asked two months later.
Not the same anon but I actually think anime had a better ending, the whole final arc of the manga had it's moments but...It went full retard, some characters did NOTHING and power levels or certain characters were just stupid(though I'm assuming Ryu is going to be a part of Hana's team in Flowers so...). I like what was done with Hao, and Faust was a complete fucking moron or I missed something
Imagine the moms seeing this as prepubescent sex.
It's really not good in retrospect especially in the second half where Takei just completely fucks himself.
Yoh's face is priceless
>to rape or not to rape
Mom's don't read shounen manga
Mom's however buy shonen manga for their kids.
Ultimo confirmed Takei to be shotacon. I always had the feeling.
I think it's pretty good, definetly enjoyable. But making the later parts a constant fucking ressurection race was stupid
Ryu better be fucking her. In Flowers that is
He'd get raped anyway, Anna is way too hardcore.
Good female though, don't get much genuinely useful and smart females in WSJ
I like the anime ending, pretty much because of Tamashii Kasanete, but the manga had fucking Princess Hao, even though it was a ridiculous last chapter at first, now it's probably the most iconic chapter of the entire manga.
And both endings are terrible for different reasons even Takei wasn't satisfied with the new ending either.
>Anna is way too hardcore
That Hao slap.
That pretty much cemented her as one of my favorite female leads.
Hao was a massive dick.
Now after his mom kicked his ass he's pretty chill.
I don't get it
I can see what's wrong with the manga ending but what was actually bad about the anime ending?
About the manga: It was fucking stupid how Hao ressurected everyone yet some people remained dead, and while I do like Hao becoming a fucking God, there's no reason to not make it into some deus ex machine whenever they need it "Hey bro, dad died, mind bringin him back to life?". Not to mention the whole thing felt rushed as fuck at the end, Faust and Ruy ended up as cannon fodders and final fight was dissappointing, but you can't do much when you have 5 people fighting against a God
Basically how Takei handled Hao and him backing down and everyone coming back to life. The extra epilogue was fine but I hated how some details were left untouched (Tao and Jeanne having a kid). It felt...rushed but while the original ending left me hanging the new ending and everything that preceded it left me disappointed. He seem to have regained his love for Shaman King again since Flowers has been a blast.
yugai gave me a bunch of teenage boners
ozoresan revoir arc of all years
Original After the dream chapter.
I'm also liking Flowers so far, I just hope for some character development for Hana, Yoh was awesome with how chill and friendly he always was, the spa scene with Hao and the later fight against army were great because of that but I doubt Hana will be like that, and that's good actually. I just hope he...I dunno, becomes less of a dick? A bit more friendly or something, I also really want to see how his Oni powers will advance since it's apperantly his "shield" rather than actual weapon, the new guy(I forgot his name) seems pretty interesting too, and for God's sake make Ryu usefull...
I remember when I used to think that Silva was the coolest looking character ever. Especially when he had all his spirits out.
Yeah he was awesome
Remind me, did he also die and did no come back?
She grows up to be absolutely crazy in Flowers, as in "storms the stronghold of an Asakura branch family and blows the roof off"
Bason was the best spirit.
Older Tamao is like Anna 0.5
Both Master and spirit were tsundere as HELL.
She's Anna-Domestic Build. Anna would kill you with a knife, while older Tamao would kill you with a knife and then continue to use it for chopping up onions or some shit.
I kind of don't like how that happened to Tamao. She should've stayed like she was. We already have Anna, why do we need two of them?
We don't really get Anna in Flowers, at least for what's been translated. She's off in Iraqanistankey supervising ethnic cleansing.
