Welp, looks like they're covering all 3 routes!
>That lighting effect on Shirou
I can see where the budget went!
>Welp, looks like they're covering all 3 routes!
We have no confirmation what so ever. I hope it is an original route so I can drink the Routefag's tears.
I don't know how they would do an original route without fucking things up...
They are going to fuck things up anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
Mixing route will be a disaster. But if it's a new route there's no reason why it should be bad.
Yeah, I'm going to write a new route right now. No reason it would be bad!
Reminder that Seiba a shit.
Are you Nasu? No.
I like Sakura more than Taiga.
It's already been said that Nasu is writing new content, not a new route. So it may be stuff like Kotomine killing Bazett.
Taiga is best girl, mongrel.
That's the point. Nasu isn't writing a script for the series.
You know that a new route would mean a Seibah-centred one where no popular character dies and she gets reincarnated to live happily ever after, right?
would be dumb to for no reason shoehorn in some bitch which dies right away.
No way. Ufo loves Saber suffering.
>Nasu is writing new content
Actually he isn't even writing anything, just giving some new info to the director.
But Taiga is more obnoxious and unbearable to the spaghetti spilling wormslut.
Unlimited Blade Works Good Ending except everyone lives?
>No way. Ufo loves Saber suffering.
Yeah, they love it so much that they skipped the entire bad ending pivotal to her character in Zero.
Yes, but with a lot more Saber in it and no jackhammering Rin.
What's that? Her failing as King Arthur?
They could have a threesome, like in Fate.
Yeah, I know that would never actually happen.
If they go original route, they should do something like the Hero End. Make a harem end where he manages to befriend Rider and show that a superhero really can 'protect' everyone.
He also should 'protect' Archer and Lancer at least once to please post-Zero fujoshi audience.
>What's that? Her failing as King Arthur?
Her failing as King Arthur, drowning in despair and wanting to not be a king anymore if given the chance (her original desire in Zero was just to succeed).
That is a crucial point in the ending and changes her character into what we know in FSN.
Mind telling me what people see in Sakura again?
FUCK NO! THEY ALREADY ADAPTED THE FIRST TWO ROUTES, IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE SAKURA TIME NOW, WHAT THE FUCK UFOTABLE.
Worms are pretty cute.
Illya route confirmed.
>wanting a HF adaptaion
Butthurt Sakurafag detected.
Fate and UBW were already adapted? Don't be ridiculous anon!
Also, Tsukihime anime when?
Urobutcher wrote F/Z and it was better than anything Nasu ever tried to write. Anyone could make an original route good.
You best be kidding.
Oh man, Urobutcherfags are already here. Time to leave.
>not wanting Saber Alter
>not wanting Zouken
>not wanting True Assassin
>not wanting Kotomine extreme badassery
>IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE SAKURA TIME NOW
>Better than F/ZN
And the Urobutcher doesn't even have a role with this anime.
I'll take this Saber Alter.
And Fake Assassin > True Assassin (though TA is still good).
Stay/Night is a generic dinner simulator with gorilla-armed art
>And Fake Assassin > True Assassin
I agree with you, but the anime adaptions always fucked up his fight and character anyway.
This can lead to a F/HA anime, I like it.
I like her because of CCC. Yeah, I know they aren't the same but characterization was better than the source material even if the game wasn't all that great.
How? I don't even.
That would be Mind of Steel TRUE Ending which sadly it's never going to happen.
It'd be too good for a nip's mind to write.
>yfw ufotable announces that the anime is just gonna do all the true endings, and all the alternate endings will be done as specials
To be fair, all the worst things in F/Z happened due to Nasu's interventions.
>Wanting an angsty version of Saber that you only see on the tenth day and the last three days of Heaven's Feel.
>Wanting a mustache-twirling villain.
>Wanting a servant that gets his ass kicked every turn he makes.
>Saber, Sakura and Rin dying by Shirou's hands
Just imagine the butthurt.
>Rin and Sakura face
I still love Ufotable Sakura so much.
>And the Urobutcher doesn't even have a role with this anime.
>Anyone could make an original route good.
How do you know Fate/Stay Night is good writing when you can't even read???
Isn't it sad? All that could have been
>mfw its Fate only
>mfw Fate is the best route
Only thing that is keeping me from worrying is knowing that Nasu is going to be involved in the anime and said not to expect it to be F/Z season II.
I only hope that Takeuchi isn't involved.
Didn't the announcement from a week or so ago say that they were keeping the mood of F/Z? I liked how each route of F/SN had a different mood to it...
no one want to see a route about a wormslut.
HF is about Sakura but Kotomine and Ilya too. 2 great characters vs 1 slut.
It'll be the Taiga route, just you wait and see.
Yes, but Nasu also said this
Nasu posted that not to expect it to be F/Z and it will still have all the comical moments/feelings that were in F/SN.
It is his story after all.
Fate Route had the best ending.
If it's a new route maybe we'll see how archer was made, or some stupid happy ending that leads into F/HA.
Best epilogue, but the overall ending is better in HF.
UBW has a nice pacing and some great scenes likes Ilya's death and the confrontation with Archer, but the final fight and the ending are the weakest.
>it will still have all the comical moments/feelings that were in F/SN
Confirmed shit. We already tried things your way and this is what happened.
Archer's smile is the greatest thing in all FSN.
DEEN did everything wrong though.
>Implying they were referring to the F/SN anime
Was, but ruined by Last Episode.
The differences between the anime and the VN are superficial. The anime is bad because the VN is bad.
Depends on which ending in Heaven's Feel. You have your typical visual novel type ending this is bitter sweet or the one that is just one giant asspull.
The anime is bad because it's boring. The same story in the VN isn't amazing but at least it's entertaining.
>the best scene
fuck off, secondary
I want to see it.
>I'll break that illusion of yours!
>The differences between the anime and Fate route are superficial. The anime is bad because Fate route is bad.
Touma >>>EMIYA>>Literal Shit>>Shirou
Even the priest would know this.
>The differences between the anime and the VN are superficial.
>the anime adaptions always fucked up his character anyway
Carnival Phantasm got him perfectly.
How would you react if it's a Heaven's Feel adaptation that ends with Sparks Liner High?
>Rider vs Saber
>Rin vs Sakura
>Shirou vs Kotomine
The epilogues aren't great, but no other ending tops this overall.
While I do think that the True Ending was too happy for the route, it was foreshadowed to just fine, plus Ilya doing her stuff was a nice conclusion to F/SN.
But that outfit suits Sakura.
>Actual Seibah jobbing like a twat
>"Not a shit route"
Shirley, you jest.
HF has one and only thing going for it Tohsaka's Anus because its literal shit
I would be satisfied. I'd even be satisfied if they just included a few bad/alternate ends with the BDs of an otherwise good/happy route adaptation.
What if they make a "Groundhog Day"-esque original route, where Shirou from Fate loops into Shirou from UBW loops into Shirou from HF loops into Shirou from-- SEASON 2 NEVER.
And the art style is the same as The Tatami Galaxy, right?
Rin looks weird from that angle.
If it's an original route it's probably gonna cover Shirou becoming Archer.
Cry tears of pure happiness.
Witty, but they won't realistically hire Yusuke Nakamura, unless AKFG makes the OP for the anime.
But who would be the 00 Unit?
I just want my Illya route and more Kotomine's sexvoice.
Is that really so much to ask?
In the Tiger Dojo for the Superhero ending, the drawing isn't of Sakura, but of Rin.
I would be disgruntled because I only give a shit about Kotomine and ending with SLH would mean leaving out one of his best scenes.
You can almost see Rin's buttocks
The one who got tenta- I mean worm raped, of course.
If they had the balls then the real loop would be:
MoS Emiya -> UBW EMIYA -> Fate Emiya -> HF EMIYA+Emiya -> LE EMIYA
Best ending for hypothetical HF would be HF Normal.
That or full MoS AU where Shirou and Kotomine duke it out after Shirou went and became a man that made Kerry look good.
>The anime is bad because Sakura wears a dominatrix outfit
Thanks for proving my point retard
So, have you actually read the VN? Sakura's plot is left untouched in Fate unlike the anime's mashup.
>So, have you actually read the VN?
I think he's just flamebaiting. Ignore him.
Nothing can make shit look good.
Fate/Zero with h-scenes, of course!
It's calling you...
Sorry, I've got another incoming call.
I can't wait to see Ufotable Ayako
It's only true love, anon.
>Tokiomi using up one command spell to make Gil suck his dick
They're cutting her out.
You can't deny that it wouldn't be for the best.
Yes I can.
Ew, Gilles isn't even pretty. He got the yaoi hands covered, though.
You can't get away that easily.
Of course I can. It's my phone and I can break it if I want to.
>Not relabling both buttons
YOU HAD ONE JOB TO DO /a/NON!
Kotomine, it's 4 hours and 26 minutes too early to call me at this number!
There's no meaning in it if you deny them the choice.
If you decline, he'll just keep calling back.
Why does Rin look like a man?
You sure you don't need to get your eyes checked Shiki?
Because your face is ugly.
Merlin accidentally gave a penis to Rin instead of Seiba.
I think it's pretty obvious why.
Reminder that the TouMAN is not actually a moralfag and he doesn't actually believe in the things he says during his speeches.
best TM protagonist
Nigga you gay or something?
No. I just don't answer calls from assholes.
Don't mind me just the best Caster passing by.
I really don't care how they go about it, but I would like to see the fights from HF done. It's the only thing they haven't animated, if they redo everything from Fate or UBW it just seems like a waste of time. I will admit, HF is not a great route to adapt since it's quite long and has a lot of rather dull material mixed in. However, it does wrap up the majority of the game and it does not leave the viewer with a "Would you like to know more" feeling.
I hope that it if it's a new story, it is closer to HF with the same main focus points. Then again, they'll probably fuck it up and make it look like a nicer version of the 2006 DEEN anime to which the casual user will enjoy, but fans of the game will despise.
Only if he only subconsciously remembers the events of the previous route and every route is done in a single episode.
After all the routes are done Shirou loops into Tsukihime and then into various other alternate grail wars like the Holy Grail Grand Prix and that Holy Grail War Gameshow.
It's going to be Fate, isn't it?
If it was UBW, the picture would show Saber, Rin, Archer and Shirou.
If it was HF, the picture would have Sakura up front.
So the only route left is Fate.
Fuck this shit. I want Heaven's Feel.
Wait a second...
Sakura is only important in Heaven's Feel.
Tsukihime remake when?
It has Sakura in her HF only outfit.
There never was a Tsukihime anime.
No, there was one - Carnival Phantasm. Shame they'll never animate the main series, though..
>pictured: four hormonal teens
I'm gonna miss Fate/Zero and its main cast of almost all adults. Kiritsugu, Kirei, Tokiomo, Kayneth, Irisviel, Ryuunosuke, Kariya, etc.
Remake of the VN.
The fact they are featuring Sakura at all is a pretty good hint it's not Fate, since she did fuck all in that route.
You mean manchildren
I guess they had to show the pure girl with big tits on the ad.
Good one, anon.
>main cast of almost all adults
>Implying actual adults fight over a stupid magic cup.
>all three girls
It means nothing, they're just fucking with us.
It'll be Fate with Shirou vs Kotomine borrowing elements from the HF version rather than the standard Fate version, plus a little UBW-like Archer angst a few episodes before he sacrifices himself.
Why did they make Shirou so dorky? They made him look cool in the Realta Nua OP videos.
Why does he look like the MC of Maken-ki?
But isn't the Fate version the one that mirrors Kerry vs. Kotomine?
Nothing in F/SN mirrors Kerry vs Kotomine.
Shirou looks just fine.
Nasu claims he's working on it 5 days a week, but we all know he doesn't possess such diligence.
I know you're baiting but still.
>I'm gonna miss Fate/Zero and its main cast of almost all adults
Except the whole point was that they acted like pathetic children and fucked themselves over.
just her physical body is impure
Shirou is more mature that all of them together.
Third Holy Grail War LN/anime when?
It's just a bad quality image. Dat tracing lightning, Shirou's body, Rin's face, it looks like they only put effort in Saber. Fate confirmed.
>Implying most of the modern world wouldn't murder half a dozen people for the chance at getting a magic pile of shit if that shit was able to achieve any of their wildest dreams
People would sell their souls for less...
He has a lot of his own problems.
I'm not going to have high expectations for this, plot-wise.
My only hope is that they use all the profits they made from F/Z so that their adaptation of F/SN doesn't have the QUALITY issues that plagued F/Z towards the end (especially that Kirei v. Kerry fight).
Yes, but at least he was able of leaving past behind (see the basement scene in the church) and understanding that no, you can't save the whole world because real life isn't a fairytale.
Didn't nothing big happen in the first few grail wars (besides the grail being corrupted, of course).
Still the best Type-Moon anime.
No hope for Sparks Liner High, I guess.
It would be great to see the Einzberns break all holy rules out of sheer loser butthurt just to summon the shittiest Servant of all time.
The first two were just "beta-testing," but the third was pretty big. Nazis and Imperials got dragged into it, masters were planting mines all over streets, the two Sabers...
I think it could be an interesting story.
Reminder that this is the year that shit will break loose and the Holy Grail will be dismantled.
It's a half-assed Newtype promo image, ufo's done it before.
>I keep telling you, I'm evil!
She's too cute to be evil.
Deen's shit was beyond shit, but Taiga, is actually something they handled well.
More like ufotable sexy. I wouldn't mind having her straddle me.
>ufotable is too busy wasting money on glorious specialfx in the actual anime to bother drawing up a promo image for newtype
Even if it was HF being adapted, you still wouldn't Sparks Liner High.
Most of the people shouting for the HF route, wouldn't even get what they wish for even if HF were to be adapted.
They are bad-ends people.
While I'd love to see a Sparks Liner High OVA with the BDs or something, I'd be more than happy with just Nine Bullet Revolver and All the Good In This Life.
Mind of Steel a shit.
>implying I don't want to see 9LBW the most
>Nine Bullet Revolver
It's not in context though. There's no point without the buildup.
>No "YOU keep up with ME"
Not good enough.
The build up is a solemn monologue, with just a couple of lines exchanged between Shirou and Illya.
Nothing to animate. In short, you want voice acting. And the scenes are already voiced.
They're just gonna turn this into the entire anime.
You know, Sakura looks really upset about the prospect of forbidden love in this image
>implying adults aren't just grown up children with jobs
The whole chase sequence is the build up.
Gotta save this pic. Saber is cool but really she's not that strong and most of the time gets herslef captured, humilliated or both.
She's a joke of an action heroine.
They were hiding. They ran a bit at first, initially, but they were primarily hiding.
They ran for hours though.
Which Servant would you Master?
Arturia Pendragon, Emiya Shirou, and, let's say, Medea. 'Cause she's cute.
>DEEN's shitty official art
Do you have a quote on that?
>Welp, looks like they're covering all 3 routes!
Could just as easily be a combination route, but it really can't be called the story of the Next Generation of Children if you're only really focusing in two of them there.
Gotta include Ilya and Sakura properly, which means either full adaptation or the easier route of just giving them a few extra scenes.
Not him, but I'm pretty sure that he mentions the strain of having to carry her for more than an hour.
Too lazy to look up the exact line so I don't remember if it was hours and hours or just around one hour.
Am I the only guy that would kinda like to have a weird friend like Kirei? Always saying the most profound, spiritual shit that leaves you wondering what the fuck he was talking about for hours afterwords until you figure out the hidden meaning behind it while you're lying in bed that night. Also I like spicy food so I'd be his mapo-bro.
This is the problem, anon. Kirei doesn't have friends. He would use you, but he would never care for you.
There's still a way
Fine then, a local priest you could visit in the evenings, chill out with and get spiritually enlightened. He loves giving speeches.
I knew this guy in high school that would spout shit like that all the time. I asked him why he was so much smarter than me and he went off on a speech about how 'it's not that I'm more intelligent than you or anyone else, its just that our different perspectives in life lead us to interpret the world differently; thus, it must be less a matter of intelligence, and just that all different interpretations must lead to a different form of enlightenment.'
His words would really pick me up when I was in a funk, and I still remember some of them.
I wish Kirei would give me speeches.
Kirei > Shirou > TouMAN
We need a Kirei route.
It's called Heaven's Feel.
Just a quick question: I'm at day 14 of Fate, and I just finished the date with Seiba. You think it'll be possible for me to finish Fate tonight from where I am?
I just want a route where nothing happens but Kirei giving speeches to Shirou and the 2 of them basically miss the entire holy grail war because they're sitting in the church the entire time and Kirei teaches Shirou about all the things in the world.
Depends on your timezone, how fast you read, whether or not you let the voices play, how long you've been playing already, how late you're willing to stay up, and how long your attention span is.
...I guess you could?
And when it comes to love...
I had my hopes high when I started HF and Shirou spends like three days chatting with Kirei. Unfortunately, it doesn't last.
>And when it comes to love...
No time for that, there are so many other important things Kirei has to tell Shirou.
I just wanna know how he wins without a servant
Wouldn't Rider contract with him to avenge Sakura?
He starts killing people for mana and uses UBW.
>They are bad-ends people.
>Rider, Lancer, and Assassin
>Caster with hood up and dragon tooth bone-men
>Gilgamesh shown as a silhouette and therefore a big reveal
Fun fact: Sparks Liner High is not a bad end.
It is also not a dead end, or a good end, or a normal end, or a true end.
It is the only end in Fate/Stay Night to completely lack a prefix, merely being an End.
He let Rin kill her and even volunteered to do it himself though I guess its possible
He doesn't have the training for that in HF
In RN it also has an exclusive music track.
>"Archer's master murdered Sakura after I tried to save her, help me slap their shit and in return I'll use my wish to bring Sakura back"
And what a fucking track. Best track.
The Grail can't bring the dead back to life.
Rider was Sakura's servant at the time, it's kind of doubtless that she was watching as it all went down even if she chose not to intervene.
She may not know that. Or Kotomine could even possibly give him Gil if Gil finds the new Shirou interesting enough
This anime is gonna have a Enkidu flashback, right? Right?
Gil is too tsundere for Shirou, it wouldn't work.
Can the grail even do something useful and why does it need people to butcher each other?
Which Shirou would Kotomine like more, current Shirou or Kiritsugu Shirou?
That would be in Shaft's CCC anime.
Wait, it would have Seiba as main Servant, so no.
Kotomine hates Kerry. Do the math.
>Which Shirou would Kotomine like more, current Shirou or Kiritsugu Shirou?
He had the highest affinity with HF Shirou
Who he noted as taking the same path as himself
Yeah, but he loves misery and despair. Mind of Steel Shirou is like the epitome of that, where he passed the event horizon and completely gave up on emotions altogether. You don't think that'd amuse him?
That's HF Shirou that didn't go MoS however
If Shirou does not pick the same path as Kiritsugu then he picks the same path as Kotomine in a way, a man who is broken from birth and tries to have it both ways as he's slowly forced to realize it's impossible.
He'd enjoy MoS Shirou's suffering, but no way he'd like him.
The Grail needs energy in order to be completed. When a Servant dies, they're reduced to masses of energy. The Grail absorbs that energy, and with each Servant that's defeated, it gets closer to completion. The Grail requires six Servants in order to achieve this; the seventh Servant is required to actually interact with it, as only spirits are capable of interacting with spiritual constructs.
As for its usefulness, the thing is a near unlimited pool of magical energy. You can do almost anything with something like that. The problem is, despite all its power, it's not truly omniscient or omnipotent. Kiritsugu's wish of "saving the world", for instance, was an impossible wish to grant because the Grail "doesn't know" how to grant such a wish. If Kiritsugu knew of an actual, proper method to accomplish his wish, then the Grail would have been able to grant it, but since he just assumed that the Grail would magically solve everything so long as he simply got his hands on it, it was pretty much doomed to fail from the start. The Grail also can't bring the dead back to life. Even if Shirou wished for something like "I wish the fire from ten years ago didn't happen", all it would do is wipe the memories of that fire away. The people who died in that fire would simply cease to exist and no one would remember them. The only one who would have been saved from such a wish is Shirou himself, who would have forgotten the tragedy of the event that twisted him to become what he is today.
If the Great Grail was activated properly and not corrupted by Angra Mainyu, its primary function is to bore through reality and contact the root to reattain the third fucking sorcery, which easily includes bringing the dead back to life.
>The problem is, despite all its power, it's not truly omniscient or omnipotent. Kiritsugu's wish of "saving the world", for instance, was an impossible wish to grant because the Grail "doesn't know" how to grant such a wish. If Kiritsugu knew of an actual, proper method to accomplish his wish, then the Grail would have been able to grant it
That would work if the Grail was a colorless spiral. It has not been since Avenger died in the 3rd war.
Now, the only output the Grail has is "violent slaughter of every living human". The input only changes the execution of that slaughter.
By the way, thanks again Einzbern.
The Holy Grail and the 3rd Magic are two separate things. While the Grail is a ROUTE to the 3rd Magic, it's not actually capable of utilizing it. It's just a near limitless amount of magical energy.
Also, while the 3rd Magic can manipulate souls, it can't retrieve souls that have already returned to Akasha. The people who died in the fire have been dead for ten years. The 3rd Magic wouldn't be able to do shit for them.
This is also wrong.
The Grail is, at its core, a wish granter. Thus, if Grail's user knew the method of achieving a wish with 100% certainty, in a manner where the Grail can't possibly twist things in order to bring about destruction, it would grant that wish.
The tainted Grail is essentially a monkey's paw. Unless the method to achieve your wish is absolutely perfectly fool-proof, the Grail will probably fuck it up. On the other hand, if you told it exactly what you wanted and the method left absolutely no room for error, it would grant your wish.
No, you misunderstand on one count and are wrong on the other.
The Great Grail is a prana drill designed to get to Akasha. From Akasha, the information for the Third Sorcery is kept. Once you have that, you can just do the damn sorcery (although if you lack the status as inheritor of the magic, it either won't work or will be downgraded into a Magecraft at that point, Nasu's a little unclear).
The Third Magic can download the template of the soul and reincarnate it into true living form. The entire Servant system is a bastardization of this to begin with, with the Throne of Heroes being the specific template database. However, the Akashic Records have all souls ever, at every point in time.
So is this going to be as gay if not gayer than DEEN's?
Again you misunderstand.
The Grail is a wish-granter, yes, but it was originally colorless. Once it was given color, it cannot return to being colorless.
The Grail IS granting a wish. Through the 4th and 5th wars, the Grail was at full function granting a single wish: that Angra Mainyu, all that is evil in the world, is real, incarnate, so that humans are pure and without evil.
The grail will not grant another wish. Angra Mainyu just keeps up appearances with "wishes" because he wants to be born.
I don't know, but the devices grail-kun gives to people are pretty useful.
I mean the Friendmaker and the Hero Creation Kit are really great. The Servant Strengthening Device is also good, but a tad impractical.
It won't be as gay as you, if that's what you're wondering.
That's not a true revival. Nothing is considered "true" revival in Nasuverse. All you're doing is creating a copy of the person. The person who originally died is dead forever. Even if you retrieved the soul's template from Akasha, the original person died. All you're getting out of it is self-satisfaction.
This is the one absolute law in Nasuverse that no one can ever break: The dead cannot be brought back to life. No matter what kind of method you use or what kind of cheat you have, someone who died cannot be brought back to life.
Thats a pretty hard feat.
So if I wished for the grail to make me the best turkey dinner, it wouldn't be able to unless I knew how to make the best turkey dinner? That's bullshit.
And I'm saying it's possible to get a proper wish without destruction out of the Grail if you knew of a fool-proof method to do so.
The Grail isn't alive. It has no actual preferences or desires. It's simply "programmed" to lean towards destruction, but this can be circumvented by giving a completely perfect command that even it can't twist around.
I decided to read the original Fate/Stay Night VN instead of watching the 2006 version of the anime. I've been steadily pacing myself over the last few weeks and finally finished both ends of the Heaven's Feel route today. To be honest, I still thought the original source material was underwhelming in comparison to Fate/Zero. The storyline wasn't the problem, it just suffered from the presence of some unbearable characters. I've heard a lot of complaints about Shirou and they certainly did not lie. I doubt the new adaptation will change much regarding his stubborn personality and core beliefs, but I'm hoping it'll tone down other qualities of his character that made me almost stop reading at some points. Sakura irked me too, so I hope the script for the new anime can flesh her out a bit more, particularly if Heaven's Feel gets adapted. The VN was essentially carried by Saber, Ilya and Tohsaka, I think.
On another note, Saber looks hardcore here. Mmmm
Your copy is linked to the original soul due to materialization. Do you not realize what Sorcery/True Magic is? It is the impossible.
If it's impossible in Type-Moon, it's a Sorcery.
The copy is identical in literally every function because it is the soul materialized. It hasn't been withdrawn from Akasha because that mechanism doesn't work, but to differentiate it is meaningless because they are for all recognition alive again. By the laws of the world, they are alive again.
Touko created an exact copy of her body, not her soul.
Effectively she was possessing her puppet and making it do everything.
What Touko does isn't revival. She's simply immediately replacing her body upon its "death". She tricks the world into thinking she never died because her body is still "alive" when she dies. She basically avoids her death by never actually "dying" in the first place.
The Grail is no longer accepting wishes, is the problem.
Angra Mainyu is entirely glad to make you think it is, so long as you'll open the gate.
Did you think Kiritsugu was actually talking to the Grail system in Fate/Zero's climax? It was Angra Mainyu.
>other qualities of his character that made me almost stop reading at some points
>Wish for the best turkey dinner ever
>Grail turns all the people of the world into delicious, moist turkeys and puts them all on a planet-sized plate for you
That white meat better not be fucking dry Seihai-kun.
There is a problem like that with Shirou.
He's a hit and miss character, dislike or like, no inbetween really.
And it ruins the experience if you dislike him.
Even Sorcery can't bring the dead back to life, anon.
And again, that's just your own self-satisfaction. So by your logic, if someone dies, and you create a perfect copy of them with a perfect copy of their memories and personality, you "brought them back to life"? This is complete bullshit and you know it. The fact that the person in question died does not change. The fact that the actual person is no longer with us does not change. All you've succeeded in doing is creating a copy of that person, but the copy and the original are technically two separate people.
Also, Roa's method is also different. Roa's not actually reincarnating his "soul", but rather the "information of his soul". A single body can't house multiple souls. When he reincarnates, his soul's information basically "infects" the host's soul, turning it into a somewhat half-assed copy. Thus, he's not actually coming back to life, but rather he's making copies of his soul's data and hacking it into others.
It's not true revival, just a farce of one.
Actually it'd more go like this:
Angra Mainyu is born, and creates the best turkey dinner, and then kills everything.
What if I just wanted a billion dollars? How would that be twisted into some sort of humanity-destroying wish?
Wow looks good.
It managed to grant Bazett's wish just fine. Sent her off into a magical time-looping dream land. It didn't have the actual power to destroy anything, so that was all it could do. That's also a way to get it to grant a wish without destroying anything.
everyone dies and then you are free to have all the money but then you die
>perfect copy of the original
>not the same person
u wot m8?
Your definition of revival is complete ass.
Revival does not mean making the death never occur. It means undoing the effects of death, and there is no functional effect of death if a truly perfect "copy" (if it is perfect, why discern it as a copy?) is given new life.
It's not bullshit in any way. The 'copy' is complete, it is an identical existence unable to be differentiated except that it hasn't died. Therefore, revival.
And Roa's method is good enough for the recognition of the world, which is to say, reality.
Angra Mainyu did that, not the grail system. Did you play HA at all?
That's from your point of view.
From the point of view of the person who actually died, he never came back to life. He died and that's it. A copy was made with a copy of his memories, but the original person is dead.
Tell me anon, would you be satisfied in knowing that in the event of your death, a copy was created of you, but wasn't actually you, and that copy continued to live your life after your demise? Everyone else may be satisfied by this result, but you, yourself, are gone.
Your logic is entirely self-serving.
What if I wished for Angry Manjew to suck my dick? Would he do it?
I would be totally fine with that because there is no such thing as a kinetic "me". I die every time I go to sleep and "somebody else" (a copy of me with the short term memories converted to long term) wakes up from your ass perspective.
People who think the ship of Theseus is another ship are asses.
Mind posting it? I didn't know about this is.
Does the term "explosive decompression" mean anything to you?
She's the best fist fighter in the world with NP, but Gilgamesh has the original brass knuckles and boxing mitts.
I asked about the sparks liner high music
I'll smack dat ho if he tries dat shit
Angra Mainyu responded to the Grail's wish-granting functions. If it was just Angra Mainyu without the Grail, it never would have done anything. The Grail and AM were basically one. Again, the tainted Grail had no wishes, desires, or even a sense of self. When you take away its power to destroy anything, all you're left with is a (flawed) wish granting machine, tainted or not.
The illustrator of that promo image worked on the UBW movie as a key animator. Pretty amusing coincidence, and it looks like he recently joined ufotable?
I'm saying that the only wishes that can be granted are the ones Angra Mainyu wants.
And unless for reasons only it can know change the result, the wish it will grant is "indiscriminate slaughter of all living humans".
It has a single (recognizable) desire, to be born. To say AM = Grail is a little off, Angra Mainyu is simply being built by the Grail. The Grail is mindless machine focused on this single task, but Angra Mainyu has a mind, alien though it may be. It can repurpose the Grail because it is inside it.
Sorry, but I don't subscribe to that philosophy.
I'm me. No one else can be me. Even if a perfect copy of me was created, that still won't change the fact that there is, was, and always will be only one "me" in this world. I will never see it any other way.
At least you'd die happy and full.
Then we'll disagree. The ship of Theseus is the same ship in my eyes.
And "true" revival isn't even a possibility in yours. There's no mechanism for it short of time travel to make the death never occur.
P.S. THAT'S A SORCERY TOO SEE MAHOUTSUKAI NO YORU
Again, Angra Mainyu has no "wants". It's basically a void, nothingness. The only reason it even had a personality or sense of self in Fate/hollow ataraxia was because it superimposed itself onto Shirou. But that's not the "true, original" Angra Mainyu.
It still wants to be born. This is shown unquestionably in Heaven's Feel, where even half-complete and unconscious, it forces Sakura to let it be born.
No one said you get to eat it
True revival doesn't exist.
Even time travel is basically just replacing the dead person with a time-displaced person.
And Aoko's power isn't time travel. What she did was "throw" the event of Soujirou's death into the future. However, that still wasn't true revival.
Here's an excerpt from Mahoyo:
>Resurrection of the dead?
>Healing of wounds?
>There’s no indication that such an elaborate spell was applied, but more than anything else, restoring the body would not undo “death”.
>Since times of old, complete resurrection of the dead has not been granted by even magic.
Even true magic cannot resurrect the dead. NOTHING in Nasuverse can, ever. Not by Nasu's logic, anyway.
It's not that it WANTS to be born, it's that its function IS to be born.
A baby doesn't WANT to be born because it lacks base desires to begin with. It can only fulfill the function of its birth because that's essentially what it exists to do up until that point.
Angra Mainyu is "zero", nothingness. It has no desires or wants.
Your definitions aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaass.
And Nasu's completely zig-zagged on definitions a dozen times, such as claiming Gilgamesh's incarnation at the end of the 4th war is a true resurrection.
>Angra Mainyu is "zero", nothingness. It has no desires or wants.
Why did AM save Bazette then?
>The biggest, juiciest, most delicious turkey dinner that has or will ever exist is just sitting there and you don't get to eat it, you just stare at it while you die
And I thought Angry Mayo was bad before. That's just fucking awful.
Because the Grail is a wish granter. It exists to grant wishes. Angra Mainyu simply fulfilled that very basic purpose, because that was all it had left. It couldn't do anything else, so it did what the Grail was programmed to do.
Semantics. A necessary function that it will take actions to perform might not be borne of "desire" but it still can easily be classified as a "want".
I don't actively desire to breathe but my body is going to keep doing it, and I clearly don't want to not breathe.
It's a "true resurrection" in that he has a physical body.
But the original Gilgamesh is still in the Throne. Having a physical body doesn't stop him from being a copy.
At any rate, the only definition of life, death and resurrection that applies here is Nasu's, and Nasu asserts that the dead cannot be brought back to life in his universe.
Even what happened with Soujirou isn't considered a "true" resurrection.
No, why Bazette? She was just a dying nobody who was killed off before the Grail War even started.
Well no, but this is a bit different. In this case, Angra Mainyu is closer to a machine, or an object. It has no brain so it cannot want. Anything that happens with it is merely an automatic process. Wants have nothing to do with it because an object without a sense of self or will of its own cannot "want" anything. A rock can't "want" to exist; it exists merely because it does.
She was the closest thing there. The Grail simply granted the wish of the closest target. It's pretty logical in that sense.
Sorry, more like her WISH was the closest thing there.
No one else really had a wish. Bazett was the only one whose wish could be granted at the time, so the Grail took it.
Then why didn't it grant a wish like this back in the 4th war? Earlier? There were plenty of people even closer.
Angra Mainyu will still take actions to allow its own existence, up to and including attacking threats. Just because it lacks reason doesn't make it completely invalid in terms of wants.
And also in Type-Moon inanimate objects do have impulses, in a very vague and nebulous way (Kara no Kyoukai wasn't totally clear about it). Only Akasha is utterly without impulse.
Presumably because the only ones around were Kerry, who gave up on his wish, and Kotomine, whose wish couldn't be granted at the time.
Nothing to do but with another ten years for the next Grail War.
After all, only Masters have the right to have their wishes granted. Even if some random schmuck with a great wish happened to be nearby, if they're not a Master, there's no point.
Also, the Grail had barely any power left. Certainly not enough to grant a particularly grand wish.
Sending Bazett into an ever-looping dream world was probably its limit. Even a half-dead cat familiar can do something on that level.
It could have granted Kerry's wish this way long before he gave up. Or grant wish of someone like Kayneth who I bet also didn't want to die.
Anyway, the point is, I'm not buying your bullshit.
It doesn't gain its function as a wish granter until AFTER the container is completed.
Bazett's wish was only granted to her after the end of the true Fifth War.
Her wish was to fight in the Grail War. The Grail granted her that small wish.
Manjew saved her from certain death when she was bleeding out. On his own volition.
Yeah, that's the thing I can't make heads or tails of.
Bazett was killed prior to the Grail War. However, the Grail's implied to have only granted her wish AFTER the Shirou destroyed it, but somehow managed to grant it before the actual destruction.
don't have to explain shit
Kotomine's the true heroine of Heaven's Feel.
That depends. Is your name Kinoko Nasu? From what I've heard, he's actually become a far better writer since writing FSN. New route's being written by him.
Actual adults fight over far shittier things than an omnipotent wishing machine. If the grail was legit, you could just wish to be emperor of the world.
