/a/ I want a REALLY fucking long ass show to watch that isn't big 3 and is actually good.
Right now I'm watching Space Brothers (only at ep 30) and I want to watch Gintama. One of my faves is LoGH because it had such a good storyline and was 110 eps. I want something to watch while I read all of JoJo.
Is Gintama good?
Gintama is pretty funny if you like slapstick and references.
You could perchance try Urusei Yatsura or the Macross series.
Gintama starts kind of slow, when it's just introducing the main cast in the beginning of the series, but the humor and serious episodes both improve a lot past the mid 20s.
If you don't completely dislike the first few episodes, stick with it and you get a great show for a long time.
My dick is pretty long
I remember liking case closed when I was a wee lad. don't now how it is now though.
I've been off /a/ for two years and still the same "is Gintama good?" threads. Never change
Watch it now
>Interested in gintama
OP isn't a faggot? Are these the end times?
long ass show you say ?
I believe so, anon. I believe so.
It was great watching Gintama over the years it was running. I spent so much time with all the characters and it seemed liked the good times would never end. I really feel like I lost some friends when it finally tapered off season by season. That last movie really hit on those nostalgic notes and old feelings.
I'm on episode 195 of gintama and I don't get why it's so praised
I can't take anything seriously since they break the 4th wall 10 times per episode, I don't enjoy the serious arcs
I find it watchable but I don't think there's more than 10-20 episodes I really liked, the rest are mostly average in my opinion
Gonna finish watching it though
pretty much this
this. I started watching when they were on like episode 150. Waiting for new episodes hurt so much. I miss the times I would come home and watch 10 eps in a row. Comfy as fuck and hilarious
Almost as bad as watching 480 episodes of one piece
pretty good taste if you consider see Gintama
The serious arcs are the only ones that I can manage to enjoy actually.
I respect your opinion though.
>I don't enjoy the serious arcs
>Not liking the Shinsengumi Arc
Why force yourself to keep watching?
I picked it up for comedy and that's why I'm still watching. I like the comedy episodes
Just watch it. Don´t be a faggot
This anon sums it up pretty well.
Arcs are extremely varied and the genre for any one episode can shift to a tremendous degree though the series never forgets that it's a comedy. Strong pacing throughout. Outside of the first 20 or so, that is.
My favorite (no-serious) episode is the New Years one that doubles as a PSA against drinking too much.
Why are you posting gay shit?
The fujo art is pretty good, to be honest.
such a good taste here it´s quite rare my friend
too young to understand
i saw the newer version of Gintama but it ended at ep.50. Is the old one as good as the new one?
What are you even doing...
Why did you start watching the show from episode 201?
Why did you do that?
>I want a REALLY fucking long ass show to watch that isn't big 3
I can understand wanting a really fucking long show to watch, I feel the same way all the time
>and is actually good.
I've actually seen all of Naruto, and I enjoyed it a lot. It was so much of watching anime all day everyday that I probably won't be watching the other two anytime soon, but it was a pretty enjoyable experience and I still get hyped for a new Naruto Shippuuden episode every week.
FMA:B is 64 episodes, that's long-ish. If you really want more, give one of the big three a shot. I think Inuyasha is long as fuck too, but probably just because it was in the same place the current big three are, but a long time ago.
Why the fuck would you do that..... Is it even enjoyable at all that way?
If you like Gintama, try Sket Dance
I think it's even better
No, Sket Dance it's not better
I think it was
I laughed my ass off every episode, in contrary to Gintama where I was hoping the serious arcs would be over soon.
>Sket Dance is the poor man's Gintama.
But you should still try it. It's pretty fun. Gintama got me to pick Sket Dance up and it was fun as fuck. Switch's arc made me cry.
No it starts at ep 1 and ends at 50.
Gintama' is 201-265.
Gintama is 1-200.
So this is a Gintama thread now right?
I think there needs to be a name other than serious arcs, because only like a third of them are actually serious.
You could watch Hunter x Hunter.
The worst thing about watching this for the first time is that you'll never be able to watch it for the first time again
The best thing about watching it for the second time is that they're almost always funnier than you remember.
