TODAY IS THE DAY

Motherfucker got his shadow back by letting 2.0 take the spot light. It's GAME OVER for Akashi now.

That's not how it works/worked.

Then what the hell did he do this chapter?

It's hard to say. There are a few factors that we have to consider.

My personal opinion is that he's using Mayuzumi's lack of presence for himself. A shadow hiding inside a bigger one, if you will.

The "he got his shadow back" doesn't make sense because his lack of presence (at least for this game) is completely gone. You can't just conjure it back up.

2.0 gaining some presence doesn't automatically means Kuroko is losing some.

The only thing that we are 100% sure is that Akashi will bench Mayuzumi.

Naw bro, benching Kuroko, and then bringing him back once he got too much attention on him worked in previous chapters to bring his lack of presence back. Same thing is happening here, except he's neutralizing 2.0 as well.

By also letting 2.0 take shots, and pass without any fuss, 2.0 starts to take the spot light away from Kuroko. The players are also less focused on Kuroko since he's basically a non-threat at this point, which ironically gives him back his power.

Are you really telling me that Akashi, who plans everything ahead (and knows Kuroko better than everyone) didn't see this obvious thing (used in every game up until now) coming?

His lack of presence is (supposedly) GONE. Like, totally. He's a normal player now and will be for quite a while until all his fame and presence fades back to normal. It's probably a lenghty process so it's obviously something that can't be done in half a game.

Same as above.

I can't wait.
