What manga are you currently following, and what are your top 3?
-Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru
-The Breaker: New Waves
-Addicted to Curry
-Girls of the Wild's
-The World God Only Knows
-Kimi no Iru Machi
-Love So Life
-Nana to Kaoru
-Nazo no Kanojo X
-Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple
-Yankee-kun to Megane-chan
I can't imagine following more than 4-5 at a time.
Seriously, New Waves?
Don't really have a top 3. Have a bunch more I gave up on following, so this is everything that I actually am entirely up to date with.
Are you serious?
I'm following over 300 manga and adding more every day.
Most of the series I read I learned about from /a/, so I don't bother keeping a list or anything. If there's an update, I'll see a thread about it.
>If there's an update, I'll see a thread about it.
That would drive me insane.
That is disgustingly casual.
New Waves is great. Still has pacing issues though but it's gotten really good again.
I use mangareader for the easy/quick update emails.
It's still nothing compared to the original. It's just the usual shounenshit.
>addicted to curry
feels bad man
>500 chapters/finished in Japan
>Last update was like half a year ago
it's not some 10/10 amazing manga but it was cute and enjoyable
New Waves is great. I just wish I could drop it for a few months and then come back because it takes 10 chapters for anything of worth to happen.
That's the why. Unfortunately, few groups are willling to tackle a long series like that.
plus it's the only MC I know from the same country as me
Following 70 series, not counting the ones on year-long-or-longer hiatus (Liar game, for example).
The only weekly series I'm currently following are Kingdom and All You Need is Kill, though I'll probably marathon the rest of TWGOK and Beelzebub when they're finished.
It's really a shame good weekly manga are so rare, though it does make sense.
FUCKING INCONSISTENT RELEASES
Oh yeah GUNNM:LO just ended btw if anybody cares
Wtf is up with Liar Game, btw. It's been on hiatus for ages.
Ended? Did they even get to mars?
>rating series before they're over
Not anymore. I'm certainly not going to pick up the new series. I'm done.
Organic brain Gally was reunited with Figure and got a fully biologic body.
Chip brain Gally went on to find the truth about her past on Mars
A new series is starting this summer called Mars Wars
MC is alpha as fuck though.
I don't follow.
Just fucking type it out.
Same goes for >>101709963
Around 70 different ones, plus 40-something on-hold (hiatus or no translation, etc)
My top 3 would probably be One Piece, OPM, Magi.
Dude take that stick out your ass
wtf calm down lol btw ur dum
Kingdom died when best girl died
I'll pick it back up when he finally picks up the glaive.
Best girl isn't dead. Shutup.
This isn't a chat. People here type in full sentences. Feel free to make yourself look like an idiot.
Yeah he is
It's just a joke. Stop taking every post on the internet seriously.
SHUTUP SHE IS STILL ALIVE.
Ouki dead nigga
No he isn't.
In Shin's heart
I really do want to see him pick up the glaive though.
And in Ouki's place, we have Tou.
>What manga are you currently following
Anything on this list that is still being released, and a handful of series I picked up since I last updated it. I don't drop ANYTHING for any reason.
I don't even want to try and do that.
Couldn't you get the emails and then download/read your manga someplace that isn't horse cock a fecal matter?
I hate downloading one chapter.
I'd have to download 1 chapter from tons of different series weekly.
I don't want to make reading updates more of a chore than it already is.
SHIT TASTE COMING THROUGH
>I don't drop ANYTHING for any reason
Same, but only with manga, in my case.
>I never drop anything.
I wish I had your determination. Sometimes things just don't click with me.
I never put them on my dropped list or anything. I just stop reading.
>I don't drop ANYTHING for any reason.
And I still think it's crazy. There's some terrible terrible shit out there.
What the fuck are you doing? You should read more completed.
>I don't drop ANYTHING for any reason.
I wish I didn't have this problem.
But the only reason this is true for me because many of those series are (Last release: 2149d ago)
I'm not saying you absolutely can't read it online, I'm just saying there are plently of places that don't watermark or fuck around the pages. You can get your email, then head on over to someplace else and read the chapter.
>I don't want to make reading updates more of a chore than it already is.
I can't empathize with that at all. My favorite part of the day is getting home from work and looking at the release log on mangaupdates.
Shit taste guy here.
By completed, it means that the series is over and I finished it.
Unless i'm retarded, I don't understand what you mean.
I enjoy it too, but it's time consuming. Which is why I don't download things.
I'm on the go a lot so sometimes I have to read it on my phone or on my laptop. I just don't have the time to go searching for it on another site.
Yes, and I mean that you should finish some more things.
>And I still think it's crazy. There's some terrible terrible shit out there.
To be fair, years ago I dropped a single shoujo series about a girl who falls in love with her brother who is constantly, and seriously, trying to rape her. When the author introduced the idea that being a rapist was hereditary and the girl started to swoon every time the boy saved her from his biological father who was also trying to rape her and then he would ---- I can't even make this shit into a sentence it was so fucking bad, but that's the one single thing I dropped.
It hurt me a little, since I really like to have a very good general understanding of whatever I'm into: both the good and the bad.
Oh, I gotcha. Most of the things I'm reading aren't done yet. If possible though, I try to aim for things that are complete if possible, but most of the stuff that interests me usually isn't done.
Shokugeki no Soma
Batoto has RSS feeds you could use the same way AND no watermarks and shit.
The little tiny watermark in the top left or bottom right never bothers me. If it covered some text or something important, sure. Or it was as bad as the fucking panda ones I've seen a few times, yeah.
Ditto. I drop over 90% of the anime I try to watch. While watching TV I normally think about how much time it takes and then imagine productive things or books I could be reading.
If I thought it was a problem I wouldn't do it.
>I try to aim for things that are complete
I see people say this on /a/ all the time and I don't understand it.
>I don't understand it.
Having an actual ending is nice. Waiting for releases can be awful.
Well, the reason I do it is because out of all the stuff I am reading that isn't finished, I would at least like to read something that had an "end".
I don't end up dropping that much. I can usually tell what I like at least.
When 50% of your 'reading' list doesn't update for years and probably won't update ever, I think you'd understand better.
Doubutsu no Kuni
Boku to Miraiya no Natsu
Doubutsu no Kuni
Eden - It's an Endless World!
Hand x Red
Hi no Matoi
Idea no Hana
Jigokudou Reikai Tsuushin
Jing: King of Bandits
King of Thieves
Mujaki no Rakuen
Nanatsu no Taizai
Rising x Rydeen
Shoukoku no Altair
Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii
Star's Last Wish
>Doubutsu no Kuni
is it still at chapter 49? I haven't found any others
It was a little strange the manner in which that was cancelled. Apparently the mangaka is going the publish the last volumes as doujinshi.
As far as I know it's still on chapter 49
the ones i care most ATM, life is suffering
Waiting for the volume release.
I can't pick favorites for shit.
Shokugeki no Soma
Akame ga Kill
Nanatsu no Taizai
I also want to say Berserk, but..
>Rinbukun looking like Ogiko.
>Being ashamed of One Piece when Terra Formars is on your list.
>many of those series are (Last release: 2149d ago)
What breaks my heart is one someone picks on of those up, does a handful of chapters and then drops off the face of the Earth.
I'm looking at you Tensai Family Company.
>Favorite Jojo is Stone Ocean
Railgun, Soon Mukou no Mukougawa, Genshiken, Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, 20th Century Boys, Hayate no Gotoku, Sketchbook, Touch, Yotsuba&!
Favorites being Yotsuba&! and Hayate.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Satougashi no Dangan ga Uchinukenai
Taiyou no Ie
-ib- Instant Bullet
Akame ga Kill
the world god only knows
feng shen ji
akame ga kiru
mahou shoujo of the end (scans fucking never)
mahou shoujo site
shuenn no shiori
city of darkness
girls of the wilds
koe no kitachi
yamada and the 7 witches
sorry I'm not popular
bright world project
aizawa-san zoushoku (new series, see how it plays out)
the rebel shadow master (forgot I was following this, no scans)
ajin (where are the scans)
aku no hana
sprite (scans damnit)
kenshin (forgot I had it)
cu-cu-cute (no scans)
Yuujou Kakin Kalman Gain (picked this up in a one page thread, no scans, too bad seemed good)
high school of the dead (berserk 2.0)
tokyo girls destruction (praying for scans)
I had a good bit more, but I eventually forgot about them because they never updated. It's the absolute worst to get wrapped into a series and then never see any scans for it.
oh shit and top 3 right now would have to be
koe no kotachi
Someone please pick up Wild Life
>Girls of the wilds
Holy shit I thought nobody else read that series on here. It's getting pretty dry right now, jae gu has kind of plateaued with his character development.
>Holy shit I thought nobody else read that series on here.
Not him, but it used to be of the most posted manhwa, by a lot.
>I am a hero
Part of me really wants to go back and pick this up, but the main character is such a goon. He has a fucking gun right beside him, yet refuses to use it.
another good one I dropped, why do I do this?
Thank god someone likes Kingdom as much as I do.
Not that guy, but that's not necessarily true.
His favorite part could be from 1-5, but they're still technically the same series (chapter and volume counts don't reset). If his favorite part were, say, Diamond is Unbreakable or Battle Tendency, but he didn't like the rest as much, he wouldn't put the series as a "personal favorite".
Sorry if this comes out confusing.
>until death do us part
I gave it a chance, but momoru was too edgy for me and stupidly OP. I liked the team the had going for a bit, but it completely rested on momoru to succeed. I would probably still be reading it if they gave the detective more spolight, I only needed to look at him once to know he would be badass
I keep adding new manga to my bookmarks, praying a day will come where I will be able to check for updates and see that a new release is out for something everyday
Because the cold sting of a terrible ending
>cage of eden
or never seeing an up and coming series get updated is crushing
I'm surprised, well I can understand when it first started and jae gu was beginning to make development.
Anyone else following Denki-Gai no Honya-san? New volume just released.
>What manga are you currently following, and what are your top 3?
Way too much to list. If you mean top 3 of ongoing then (historyfag):
- Vinland Saga
If finished then:
- Kokou no Hito
And that day never comes...
It does. It really does. Maybe only for one, but it does.
Hey /a/, I have a question. What's a proto manga?
Does it refer to stuff like Tezuka's manga, or what?
Definitely not. Much much earlier than that. I'm pretty sure it refers to 1800s and earlier.
....so basically it didn't end, it was just an ending for all the characters we knew
Akame ga Kill
All You Need is Kill
Shingeki no Kyojin
Sidonia no Kishi
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo
Need to pick up a lot more shit though.
Top 3 currently following:
Tonari no Seki-kun
Chimoguri Ringo to Kingyobachi Otoko
Mob Psycho 100
I don't get the obsession with kingdom, it is just chinky shounen shit (probably copied from another shounen because that's what chinks do).
If it were about rome or japan on the other hand...
Do you have any example?
GR8 B8 M8 I R8 IT B8/8
