Are you ready for the ENDLESS PARADE? Only a few more hours to go.
μ’s 4th live is being streamed internationally in Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. The Idol Festival mobile game will also be getting an English version in Spring 2014.
Also, general Love Live! thread. All raibus are best raibus.
The anime really skyrocketed its popularity. Jesus that leap from their 3rd live to this one. Can't even imagine what season 2 is gonna do for it.
no love live fans on /a/
Man, why can't they offer the live stream in North America? Why limit it to the asian countries instead of collecting some money from the west on the side.
The newest single outsold the latest im@s single by like 10,000 copies.
i'm pretty sure it's because they don't think it'd do well outside of asia, not yet at least. and they'd be right, if you look at how well it's doing in japan compared to how much of an audience it has in north america or any of the western countries. it's a shame, really, because we won't see anything for it in the west until it gains some mainstream popularity, which given the nature of the franchise seems highly unlikely. guess it's time to learn moonspeak and move to nippon.
I might pick up moon just so I can play the damn VITA game.
I just got done watching episode 12. Honoka pls
S2 fucking when?
It's Saturday noon around here. I just want to nap.
I was seriously thinking about flying over there and going to this live. But life happened and I don't make enough. At least I have these threads.
I've been here since this time last year. Small comfy fanbases are the best.
isn't the vita game just a rhythm game? don't need moonspeak to play those games.
season 2 comes out next season, anon. The wait is nearly over! their 4th live concert is starting in a few hours though, so if you live in any of the countries mentioned in the OP you can livestream it (with a ticket).
Is everyone else going to play this?
We might actually keep threads alive once this and season 2 come out.
What's this shit even ABOUT?
Except making money.
Love Live School Idol Project is about School Idols initiating a Project to get themselves into Love Live.
Been playing the original Japanese version for some time now. It's quite addictive.
Oh fuck. And I just got the Japanese version working again.
Sweet deal. And sadly im in none of those countries.
I would buy everyting necessary to play it. Also, I need that jacket despite not knowing what it says.
>Are you ready for the ENDLESS PARADE?
I would be, if I lived in japan. I don't even live in any of the countries that get to livestream it. Fuck this gay earth. Guess I'll have to wait until they release it on BD.
Are you a bad enough dude to line up half a day in advance in freezing conditions to get first dibs on Love Live goodies?
I want it
>The Idol Festival mobile game will also be getting an English version in Spring 2014
Nevermind, I can't read.
these motherfuckers are. japanese twitter is exploding with love live hype. this picture was taken yesterday.
oh fuck. fuuuuck. where did you get that picture? are there any photos of the inside?
>I would buy everyting necessary to play it. Also, I need that jacket despite not knowing what it says.
It says 'Eli is best girl'.
Does this genuinely rival idolmaster in popularity?
>It says Eli is best girl
>The jacket has three Rin badges on it
Don't bullshit me motherfucker
You tell me
it's outselling it, but in terms of if it actually rivals iM@S, I don't know. iM@S is pretty huge, and it's been around for a long time (and stayed huge) so it has a much more established fanbase.
what I can say though, is it's the closest rival to iM@S, more so than any other idol show. give it some more time and maybe you'll get your answer.
Please tell me it's not limited to apple.
It says Hoshizora Rin
But what IS love live?
IIRC, it came with promo code of Ultra Rare card for mobile game.
Such Jew tactic. Yet we still happily fall for it
>not Nozomi or Maki
there's an android version available too, anon. rejoice!
A story about how lesbians meet each other and ended up being a couple.
The official spelling of her name is actually "Eli" like the other anon wrote, just so you know. I still use Eri though, personally.
Also, all raibus are great. Stop shitting on other people's choices.
Stop giving people the wrong idea.
They better be prepared.
Either they run away, or get sucked in and stay forever.
>that slight chub around her skirt
Truly a goddess.
Reposting EliNozo. I like Eli more and more after she join the group. Eli has the air of cool and mature around her that one cannot resist. Imo, this MAD captures her quality perfectly.
>Love Live ranked 4
>Korea in charge of being racist
It's actually pretty surprising how popular this is even outside of Japan.
What is that ranking?
my FUCKING HEART when i watched that scene.
>implying most of /a/ have good taste
It's the homepage for a pretty popular movie chain in Korea. The image is a few days old, though.
That's the release day, this is 2 days after.
Tbh imas had this coming. They have the wildly popular spinoff cinderella girls yet they kept shooting their own foot trying to promote the million live spinoff instead.
I want one so bad. I wonder if he made it himself? I've never made clothing before but by Rin I can try.
>implying the koreans have good taste
All they do is play Kancolle and other TCG games
Rip in pieces rinfag and umifag
never forget ;_;
Is the game free?
Does it have micro transactions?
Yes, the game is free to play. And, like all free to play games, they have to earn money somehow. I'm sure you can figure the rest out for yourself.
>Does it have micro transactions?
To give you some perspective, there's people who spent 100k+ yen on this game alone just to have all the rare cards.
>that entire video
lewd as fuck
>Prepare yourself tonight
ALERT! Lewd meter broken. ALERT!
>You will never have 120,000 fans screaming live over seiyuu concerts and having your video game sold the fuck out
WE HAD IT, WE HAD EVERYTHING UNTIL NEXT DAY IT WAS ALL GONE
The song lyric itself is as lewd as it gets. Just this one moment is better than the comstant kissu of Sakura Trick, although I'm not even a yurifag.
How do you think the anime might handle graduation?
Will the imoutos and a new girl join?
>rest are perfects
Is it even possible to get B or above?
I doubt the anime will get that far- they'll probably actually show mu's competing in Love Live, considering if they do graduate, the three most popular characters will be gone.
Also I want to lick Eri's sweaty armpits.
I can't answer any of your questions, anon. All I know is that I won't be able to handle Eri graduating and never seeing her again.
>Also I want to lick Eri's sweaty armpits.
Why is life so unfair ;_;
The world can't contain such perfection
>I doubt the anime will get that far
I would hope so as well, but you do realize the graduation song was leaked, right? That's the only reason anyone is even considering the possibility that the 3rd years graduate.
If they do end up graduating, I'm assuming they will still stick around and form a mini-group as professional idols. Since μ's is a 9-member group, Honoka and Eri's imoutos will probably join, along with a new character. That's the safe bet, but again, nobody knows what is going to happen. We'll all be on the same boat come season 2.
will someone stream for us if there from asian countries?
I want to see the concert in live....;_;
Why is there no good Maki merch. The BQ doesn't come out for months, and it's hard to find the Prize Figures.
Also the Daki I want is proxy only and sold out.
They could have Nico just fail, which would let them easily add the imoutos without having to add anyone else.
I wonder if the producers regret establishing some basis of time to the series instead of being ambiguous so they can just perpetually continue like Idolmaster
Is there a site for it and what time is it supposed to air exactly?
> Maki daki
> Not sold out
It's tough for a foreigner anon.
I could get a bootleg on hobby heart, but it's of the lewd one by ooyari ashito and the one I wanted wasn't lewd.
I'll probably get it anyway.
The live can only be streamed legally in Singapore, Taiwan, Hongkong, and S. Korea. Outside streaming will need to somehow tap in the live streaming from those countries.
>They could have Nico just fail
Please no bully
The doors open in exactly 2 hours from now. The show itself starts 4 hours from now. The stream itself begins 3 hours from now. GET HYPE.
>and the one I wanted wasn't lewd
>not wanting to sleep with this body every day
What are you, gay?
Stream link where? I'd watch with you guys.
Fuck too late to stay up for me.
>live in country where I can see the stream legally
>be unable to watch it
Yeah well fuck you too
welcome to club suffering
Poor, brave souls.
Better question, why isn't it being streamed in Mainland China?
Both Takaramonozu and M@sterpiece have fell outside the Top 10.
And Takaramonozu is still ahead
Honestly though, both franchises are owned by Namco so I won't be surprised if the executive board have filled up a pool with 10000 yen bills and jumped in.
Actually it's about how a kouhai falls in love for the attractive Student Council President and forms a close bond with her.
Didn't they do the same thing with M@sterpiece?
Guess there aren't many ML players.
>Eri x Umi
Nozomi can be Eli's second wife.
Polygamy is not allowed unless it's Honoka
i hope i get reincarnated into this utopia fun land as a cute little girl
I'm wondering if the franchise should expand. Knowing the bastards at Namco, they still aren't satisfied by their 10 digit bank accounts.
In the show, School Idols are an national phenomenon and there are a number of groups we didn't see on-screen.
Not to mention there's the side characters in the SIF game.
Simply developing A-Rise and a few other idol groups near the top should be enough to expand the franchise.
I think expanding Love Live to Idolm@ster's magnitude would be the wrong approach- keeping it compact but well developed would be the best for this franchise.
An official manga would be terrific
>official manga would be terrific
Disregard that I'm slow on the news uptake
A manga has already been serialised. In fact, the run began before the anime.
It's being written by Mrs Kimino Sakurako.
It's notable for having a lot more yuri moments then the anime.
And uh, you can't help but think she's pushing for another Student CouncilPrezxKouhaixBlueBestFriend Love Triangle.
Yeah I realized it >>101718021
But the only material that's available are Chinese Raws so sucks for us.
Eri seems much more forward in the manga.
Come to think, Sakurako is writing
1. The MVs
2. The School Idol Diary series
3. The Manga
I wonder why she isn't involved with the anime.
How long until the live now
I'm kind of excited, even if I doubt we'll get a stream
Is there a website?
>no mention of mystical breasts
This thread is doomed to fail
>The Idol Festival mobile game will also be getting an English version in Spring 2014.
Wow, that's awesome.
The reminds me, when the hell is Sentai going to release the BDs/DVDs in NA? They've had Love Live licensed since before S1 aired.
As soon as they finish dubbing the songs.
Its gonna be hell waiting for the DVDs
When you're using rarer characters, sure.
Hey guys, what's your favorite PV?
I don't really have a favorite but the first few minutes to MUSIC S.T.A.R.T was completely unnecessary.
Not complaining since more Love Live is never bad but it had almost no relation to the song itself.
The same as your pick, probably. I pretty much like them all, but this one is just so beautifully animated.
I've heard a lot of cover songs.
If they want to dub it into English (or glorious Chinese), they're welcome to as long as they hire decent singers.
Filthy chukokujin get out
I'm a gook so it's all cool
Most VA's in other countries tend to be shit and can't really emulate the original tone of the Japanese singers.
Why are we even talking about dubbing, it's not like it's going to be introduced overseas.
HYPE HYPE HYPE!
More common than you would think, but it's shocking how much the nip artists like that pairing
MY BODY IS READY.
Everyone loves Honodog
Sakurako likes it.
It's more apparent in the manga where they're childhood friends and senpaixkouhai.
Honoka being our Lovely Leader has a choice between two Blue Wingmen- Umi and Eli.
So what is going on?
Do we have a livestream?
Are you the same Makifag who posted in the buyfag thread today about that chibi prize fig?
Today had the heaviest snow in like 10 years and all the trains have stopped as well
All the people at the live are in for a long night
What a night to remember.
Waiting for BD intensifies.
Which Rabu Raibu album is the best album?
Season 2 first key visual
>Maki and Nico linking arms
We are heading into dangerous territory this season
Fuck this shit.
Will some asian /a/non record the stream and upload it?
>more Tojo tarot cards
Are there are boys in this?
That grand scale.
Imagine the burden for the performers.
Apart from about 3 seconds of Honker's dad shedding a single manly tear, no.
I have no idea where the stream even is if there is one.
Who do I self-insert as then?
Well, there's a male alpaca.
We've conquered AKB0048
We've conquered Idolm@ster
We've conquered Saitama.
Now we go forth and conquer again.
2 Idol Wars and 1 Saitama Concert.
Maki's True Diva.
Any album really.
I'm looking to build up a library of Love Live music.
Start with the Best Album.
It's a compilation of most of their songs that were released before 2013.
Neat, thanks a lot.
Thank you Based God.
Can't wait for this.
Who is your rabuest Rabu Raibu?
My rabuest Rabu Raibu is Kotori.
They're really pushing that ship
Id feed my Honoka some strawberries.
Riri and Nori.
And they better keep doing it.
one of the girls of course
It's a rare sight, seeing a Love Live thread last this long.
In less than two months this will be the norm
I'll be ready when the day comes. That being said, I kind of enjoy these off-season Love Live threads, because there's an absence of the casual waifu-wars viewers that will be jumping on board come season 2. I do hope we get some good threads when the show airs again, though.
I can't handle these damn high schoolers.
"Eri is a lonely widow living in 19th century St Petersburg who spends her boring days waiting on suitors asking for her hand in marriage. Although she knows they only want her inheritance, she entertains them during lunch.
Umi is a shy girl from a poor farming family in Voronezh. The 8th child and a female, she moves to St Petersburg to seek her fortune and finds a job working as a maid at the Ayase household.
Eli becomes intrigued by her bumbling, easily flustered maid and befriends her.
The relationship between master and servant becomes blurred as their relationship becomes stronger. Eli gets closer and closer to her maid until one day on a wintry night, they kiss"
Do we know how many episodes will s2 have?
Hell do we know anything about s2?
Was there good Love Live threads before?Slowpoke here.
They were certain;y shorter-lived, but the quality of discussion was higher. Less whimsical relationship shipping and the like.
Silly anon, there is no good on /a/. They were just not terrible, which is all I can ask for. As the other anon said though, the overall quality is generally higher because the people posting actually knew enough about Love Live to have a discussion, as compared to the seasonal trolls that only talk about currently airing anime and which girl is their waifu.
>Do we know how many episodes will s2 have?
Short answer, no. It'd be safe to assume a 1-cour show though, which means 13 episodes, like season 1.
>Hell do we know anything about s2?
So far all we know is there's a graduation song that was leaked on the radio, which started rumors about what's happening with the 3rd years. Also, everybody is expecting that they finally actually make it to Love Live. Nothing is certain, so just sit back and get on the hype train.
Thanks. I actually like cozy threads rather than those populated with casuals and shitposters.
It could last even more if the OP was Nozomi.
Indeed. Small fanbases are the best.
Doesn't look like a full stadium, I wonder if the snow stops many from attending.
If you've been following the twitter accounts, you'd know that it's packed full. Also, having gone to winter comiket a few times I can safely assure you that snow is not enough of a reason to stop them from lining up for an event.
I was never this jelaous of someone.
Do you have more?
>All that best girl
So many Eris.
i believe the word you're looking for is "harasho"
>tfw just fapped to NicoMaki! HUG!
there's no turning back now
>Is everyone else going to play this?
Depends, how much does it cost? Or is it free?
Goddamnit anon, read the fucking thread. Seriously, the exact question was already asked.
Still reading the thread, sorry.
IIRC S2 announcement thread lasted 2 days.
If my HD hadnt died I would beat you to this game.
Don't ask me why I even remember this video, but it's incredibly relevant. That lewd hand motion.
You can still win because I don't save pictures that much out of laziness.
You will never be this dedicated.
the impressive thing isn't even that they waited all night in the snow. the impressive thing is that after all those hours, they still have the energy to get hyped as fuck for the live performance and cheer for the next 4 or so hours. seriously, if you've watched their previous live shows, i'm amazed some of them didn't just drop dead mid-way through the concert with how much energy it'd take to cheer like that.
The Singaporean Admin for the LL fb seems to be a huge Eli fan.
>all of these eri fags
I'm surprised there's this many.
I love all of you.
I'll be one forever and ever.
Where the best girl bros @
>Stop shitting on other people's choices.
and here's me
Here's the list/order of songs they performed at the live.
ラブライブ！ ～ENDLESS PARADE～ SET LIST
09.Beat in Angel(真姫・凛)
15.baby maybe 恋のボタン
17.No brand girls
Video upload when?
Hanayo is my 2nd favourite raibu.
That's certainly a change.
Bokura no Live has traditionally been performed in the first act.
They didnt do wild stars?
Thats a pitty as it is my favourite performance on the 3rd live.
Are you bad enough dude to marathon Love Live with a n-no homo friend? Because that's what I'm going to do. We'll also going to watch Girls und Panzer; I'll show him what good taste looks like.
Also, it's amazing how lovely all of the raibus are. But Eri is still my favorite.
There's still day 2, anon. Don't forget that.
fine for the season
Only if I knew he'd might like it. Great taste btw.
Are these going to be the outfits they wear in the S2 OP?
Nope, going to be marathoning it by myself.
Those are the ones they wear when singing No brand girls. I'd like to have some new ones to look at.
I want to see U's do a cover of kpop songs, I really have an unhealthy taste of animu aidoru dancing to the tone of KPOP.
Will we finally get some character development for Rin or will she always just be that one girl with the beautiful voice who's attached to Hanayo?
Do you want 6 episodes of Rin worrying about whether or not she can wear a skirt without feeling insecure due to her tomboyish nature?
Hanayo is attached to Rin, not the contrary.
I don't remember why I disliked this before, maybe it's just a sign of sinking deeper into the anime pit.
I don't see a problem. Love Live is no-homo to begin with, only a slight yuri to spice the fans' imagination.
Honoka is my favorite
No, it means your taste is getting better over time. I also dislike pointless SoL moe shows, but LoveLive carries a powerful youth energy that makes my day a little better everything I rewatch it.
how long will i have to wait to see this from clappistan
I've started to believe maybe it's just a case of the right thing at the right time. This isn't the first time I watched something once and hated it but then came back later and loved it. I try to be pretty open to every genre to some degree as there's a lot of interesting titles you'll miss out otherwise. Also I just had to screencap this smile.
>heard of LoveLive even before the anime.
>"great, more idol shit."
>"well, this isn't as bad as I thought"
>curiosity killed the cat
>realised it's too late to bail out now
>curiosity killed the cat
>realised it's too late to bail out now
And now I'm following iM@S, WUG, and LL.
>Love Live anime announced
>"Oh look, more idol crap."
>ignore the threads
>months after S1 ends, a friend convinces me to pick it up
>"Holy shit, this is fucking cute. Why the hell did I not watch this earlier?"
>"OH FUCK my nutbladder."
Then I became a Raburaibu fag.
show me ya moves /a/!
Still can't get over how bad art direction of WuG is. Everyone suffers sameface syndrome like im@s anime.
It's only downhill from here, this week's episode was filled with QUALITY.
>did the most iconic mecha anime ever
>also pretty good at idol anime
> ignore the threads
It was my fault as well. Now I never have the joy of anticipating the next episode with /a/.
So uh, can I get a translator in here?
Also help, I can't into scans
Kotori's voice used to irritate me. No anymore though, and her Seyiuu Uchida is really cute.
Umi's singing voice is still the best.
Was the concert streamed anywhere? I kinda fell asleep with the thread open waiting.
It was, in cinemas in Signapore, Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong.
> You will never be this good of a Nicofag.
Why is life so unfair?
キタ━━━(゜∀゜)━━━!!!!! dat score
>mfw no Windows Phone app
Window Phone is ancient dinosaur Shoko, Almost no one in Japan use it.
Not sure if I want to fall so far into the pit.
Fucking casuals these days.
Dangerous lack of Maki in this thread
She's my rabuest Rabu Raibu
Is rin the bakaest rabu?
The best and softest.
Who would a lovely leader here?
You mean bestest, right? Because yes she is.
There's just something about Maki that makes her impossibly sexy. I wonder what it is.
It's the child-bearing hips. They're joint second in the group.
>more fucking honoka scales
Where the fuck are the scales of the non main three
All they get is BQs
At least I don't have the money I don't have for a Nico one
A bit off-topic, but is the Vita game going to be another version of the phone games or something entirely new? I can't play the phone versions even though it looks pretty fun.
Aren't those the Vita CE petits?
It's something else. Probably along the lines of Neptune PP.
They are in that order so maybe.
Hopefully not since that game was really garbage
Does anyone have more of these?
Half a Year perhaps.
The more I listen to it, the more I like Natsuiro Egao de 1,2,Jump. Didn't think much of this song at first, but now I'm loving it.
I love the place.
They will be also hosting a mini LL concert during C3 (anime con in Hong Kong)
The album art looks extremely weird, though.
I'm looking especially at Eri's face.
It appears the tickets are going on sale later this month, I should grab one
Yeah that cover looks strange.
I want to protect this smile.
Are these prize figs?
I want to see an Idolmaster and Love Live crossover now. As unlikely as that is.
Yes, by SEGA.
Don't forget Aikatsu.
God damn it. I couldn't find the last Maki one by FuRyu it was re-released last month and I didn't see it anywhere.
That'd be almost too amazing.
Where did this Makifag go? The daki you want appears to be back in stock.
Both are by namco right? Not likely, but it could happen. I wouldn't mind it either, closest we have is both series are in weiss schwarz.
Just imagine them separating the fans for the fear of fist fights in live events.
I don't know, is that really a thing? There's the usual fanbase flamewars like what people try to do here, but surely there must be some people who like both there.
Todo from A-Rise, Yuriko from ML and Seira from Aikatsu perform 1 2 3 4 Girl! Brand New Style! Oh yeah! A B C D Girl! Brand New Style!
It won't be too bad if you miss the sales.
You'll just have to stand behind the iron grate.
Last year I went to C3 in Hong Kong and watched Choucho perform 'I JUST FEEL MY WIND'
The funny thing is that I was hoping to meet the seiyus when I was in HK last year. And it seems Love Live only became huge in Hong Kong (cosplay performances, the live concert screening, the concert in Hong Kong) after I left.
Speaking of Choucho, hope she returns to the PRD more often. She also performed in a Guangzhou anime convention.
I like watching both. And, I don't mind the rivalry as long as it stays friendly.
What would life be like without competition and striving to do your best?
Well according to shounen anime, it would be boring.
And maybe in a few years time, franchises like T7S (The new game by Donut), Star Plus (Toei Idols), WUG (Yamakandols) can surpass Love Live?
I would say it's unlikely. The law of diminishing return dictates that it's getting harder to have a break-out success in a saturated market. Idol anime is growing but it will reach the top point in the next few years. All idol franchises have to go mix media in order to gain success. That requires tons of money for initial investment, which Bandai has a clear advantage on. Most importantly, new shows have to offer what Love Live & Im@s & Utapri don't have, which I don't think those shows can.
Who UMI here?
Rewind a few years and people would have assumed the same thing to be true for iM@S, the undisputed king of idol anime. Who would ever have thought that this small venture from Dengeki/Lantis would step up to rival that.
I mean, to use a different example, if you go back a decade in video games, you could say it was easier to break out because there was less competition, so more attention was given to the titles that actually did release, compared to right now where countless game titles are released, both from AAA developers as well as indies. Yet, when you look at what's actually happened, there seem to be more break outs now than ever, largely due to an ever-increasing userbase.
The bigger idol anime gets, the more chances studios have to break out because people will always be looking for something fresh/different. All I'm saying is don't rule it out, because it's probably more likely than people think it is.
I think there is a chance into the future considering idol culture has existed for ages and even before anime capitalized on it, they were always around.
Even in anime alone, idol characters have been around for almost 50 years now.
I don't think cynical 'look at those ugly fanboys' shows like WUG stands a chance though.
The problem with WUG is that it tried to bite off a lot more then it could chew and it's the business equivalent of an all-in.
As for the show itself, only time will tell if it'll work out. Madoka Magica was cynical and became immensely popular.
As a criticism of the Idol Industry, I would much rather watch Perfect Blue.
For me, a lot of the problems with WUG have to do with it's complete lack of anything to get attached to, be that the music, the characters or the real life idols. As you said, a part of that may have to do with just how cynical it is about the very thing it's dealing with, but it's more than that.
Production qualities aside, it doesn't feel like a show that knows what the hell it wants to do. If it's trying to be an introspective look at the idol industry, it's failing. It tries to point out many of the cliches while falling victim to many of the same things. I keep hearing people claiming how "realistic" it is, but those people don't seem to know what the fuck they're actually talking about, because WUG has the most black and white characterization I've seen from any idol show. "Bad guys are bad, let's cheer the good guys!". I think that's one of the things I really enjoyed about Love Live, was it's inherent lack of any "bad guy". People like to complain about the drama (I didn't really have a problem with it, to be honest it seemed completely reasonable, but that's a different debate) but they forget what iM@S had with it's arc, and all the drama created because there was a bad guy wanting to do bad things. WUG is headed in the same direction, but unlike iM@S, it doesn't have an established fanbase or history.
With all that being said, I'm still watching WUG, so we'll have to wait and see how it pans out.
Is there a chapter in the book where she discussed Eli?
Probably. There are also comments from the other memebers in each book. I have the Rin one but can't really read it. Hanayo's message has some hearts in it though so I take it she says something interesting.
"My Dream: I want to be Rin-chan's wife"
>Hanayo's message has some hearts in it
>so I take it she says something interesting
Oh anon-chan, you're so cute.
W-What? I does seem like something good. One day I will be able to read it. I'll get back to you then.
Goddamn, WHY are nico's hips so hypnotizing? I feel dirty.
Does anyone ship Honoka with another girl? I find her to be the odd girl out.
I hope you're kidding, anon. Out of all the girls, Honoka has the most pairings. Hono/Eri, Hono/Umi, Hono/Kotori, Hono/Maki and Hono/Rin are all pretty popular (obviously speaking about Japan). She's the Queen of Love Live.
Speaking for myself, I don't. I don't even like her in the first place.
Agree. She's as boring and useless as the male MCs that we're having in the past seasons.
> boring and useless.
I hope are joking.
Hono/Eli- Really popular in the manga. SenpaixKouhai, Childhood Friends and RedxBlue.
Umi/Hono- Another RedxBlue + Childhood Friends Pair. Let's hope this doesn't end like a certain anime set in a Catholic School.
KotoHono- My personal favourite. Kotori was Honoka's first childhood friend. Makes it more special, if that makes sense.
HonoMaki- SenpaixTsundere Kouhai
HonoRin- SenpaixKouhai. Plus they have similar personalities.
NozoHono- Well they did seem to get along in the 4th MV.
HonoHana- Hanayo will get taught the finer points of Idoling by her senpai and fellow Printemps member.
>Odd Girl Out
I hope you are thinking of impregnating her.
Do you even watch the show? If anything, HonoKoto is the canon of this anime. The truly odd ones out with no established relationship are Maki and Nico. That's why they are shipped together in the first place.
>Umi/Hono- Another RedxBlue + Childhood Friends Pair. Let's hope this doesn't end like a certain anime set in a Catholic School.
Oh I hope the blue girl loses again. I love me some NTR.
Next live is next year.
That's it, I'm fucking booking a ticket to Japan. Wait for me, Nanjo-san.
Is it me or does it seem a bit forced?
To be fair Kuroi didn't come into the picture until 2009 or so compared to iM@S starting in 2005 and there are still games that don't include him and his company.
Also, Eli is best Love Live.
It does. Most idols and VAs do this kind of stuff.
Even if it's genuine, you can't help but think it isn't.
>The Idol Festival mobile game will also be getting an English version in Spring 2014.
And here I thought Lantis/Sunrise didn't give a shit about western consumers when it came to Love Live. It just feels... inherently Japanese compared to say, Tiger & Bunny or Gundam.
Isn't she fripSide's vocalist?
Flipland really needs an AFA so that she can come and I can meet her in person. I like fripSide's music and I also like Eli, so yeah.
we still love Nozomi
>boring and useless
You sure you're not talking about Rin?
Not hating on Rin, to be honest. It's just that she has nothing going for her besides her relation with Hanayo and her genki attitude. She never steals the show like Nico and she never has any distinct role in the drama. It's a pity because I love her voice and character design and I want to see her fleshed out in S2, possibly with a single episode character arc.
What's up which Nico's eyes in that pic?
She is jelaous of Honoka admiring Elis beauty.
Thank you Mother Russia.
What is wrong with her leg
Am I a bad person for lusting over Rin?
Oh fuck you, now I have to delete what used to be a nice-looking picture.
Well, since you apologized, I'll let you off the hook. Have a Nico.
You're gonna regret it - news I've gathered says: Feb. 19th, HERO TV's gonna broadcast LL. Most likely dubbed.
μ's needs to come a bit further South of Indonesia.
Watch Uchi's preview.
It's the longest one and she seems to like the franchise.
dubbed anime but not the songs I hope.
You didn't see her crying on stage in 3rd Live encore? She loves the franchise.
Songs? Definitely kept.
Almost every one of them has cried on stage at least once.
Nanjo's comment was what started the whole emotional moment. She was still crying when they performed the last song.
Hm. That ain't the 2nd live.
Y-you got a video link for this?
Animelo 2012, Behind the Scenes feature.
Wasn't particularly interesting. Just comments by the singers before/after their performance.
And I think it's on the Day 2 DVD.
Thanks for breaking 4chan X, moot.
Oh wait, it's already fixed. Based mayhem.
All those chocolate confessions are fucking adorable.
Then I don't want to be right.
Yes they are.
I want to see Umi's kendo skills in S2 since her family runs a dojo.
Why is Hanayo so cute?
Why do I have the overwhelming desire to corrupt her?
Nice linebacker shoulders, Umi.
As expected of a seitokaichou.
Rin is best, just wanted you to know.
I don't know man, you tell me.
Do they not go to an all grill school?
Is everyone a lesbian?
I don't think they had that in mind when making the PV. But isn't the president of the student council is always revered by the other girls?
Didn't they say after Eri joined they have more female fans?
They are asexual with the possible exception of NicoxMaki.
>Both are by namco
Really? I didn't know LL was licensed by Scamco.
But the Snow Halation PV clearly shows them thinking about men.
They did. Eri is perfect in essence, so other girls want to be like her.
I would suspect that there would be a more significant increase of male fans than female fans because of her proportions. Ergo, males do not exist in the Love Live universe.
Or maybe being gay is the norm.
May we arrive to 400 posts.
oh wow,a Love Live! thread is still alive
But not for much time. Oops.
I want to sex up Maki's voice
You should listen to Maki's TRUE DIVA album for sex overload.
The one on the right, please.
one kotori, coming right up.
Was that artbook ever scanned fully?
It was one hell of a ride.
It's sad how there's not much material to discuss so we can't have these threads more often.
Graduation please don't happen soon. ;_;
I just realized something:
Eri is still part of the student council, and it can be assumed that she's near the top of her grade (I can recall this specific moment in the MUSIC S.T.A.R.T PV and a part in the Snow Halation PV she's studying). Not only this she is part of the idol group which takes up a good chunk of time for practicing and physical conditioning.
How does she have time to do student council work, keep up with the brutal schoolwork, study for college entrance exams, and still have time for mu's?
Because anon, she's perfect.
Honoka a slut
Wheres the fun in that?
No such thing as fun for 3rd years.
So has anyone ever played the game/app? How is it?
[spoiler[How do I get it to work? All I got when I launched it was some kind of message about "access".[/spoiler:lit]
I remember trying it out half a year ago. I think if you have a rooted phone you need to disable root.
The entire anime is gif worthy.
Nico sees Maki on the same train. She blushes and smiles instead of talking to her about her true feelings.
Eli and Umi spend time over Christmas. They go to a nearby Coffee shop on Christmas Day while Nozomi follows them. After telling Eli how she really feels about her, the two of them kiss. Nozomi stands outside the window and takes a picture on her phone.
She runs away before either of them notice. Pleased with the photo, Nozomi says 'I'm so happy for you, Elicchi.'
She walks along the bridge alone with a phone in hand, wiping the tears away from her eyes.
Rin and Hanayo get comfy during Christmas.
Honoka finally realises her true feelings, that she can no longer lie to herself, that she can no longer stay as 'just friends'. She runs across the city, finds Kotori and confesses her love to her friend.
They were filming a MV and Nozomi was the cameraman.
The whole idea of giving out chocolates to the 3rd person was a trick by Nozomi to get chocolates from every member in μ's.
With the exception of Nico and Maki. Nozomi was expecting them to give valentine chocolates to each other, they just needed a little push.
>thread still alive
Is this the first time RabuRaibu thread live this long?
I think so. They didn't even last this long back when the show aired. I'm so happy.
Isn't Jakarta already Southern Indonesia? I can't think of any major city there that is more to the south.
Feels good to be a part of this little comfy RabuRaibers.
You know, it's nothing big, but I just noticed after rewatching Wonderful Rush that they wear the same outfits in episode 10. Made an image to compare it, I didn't actually notice this the first time. Also, surprised this thread is still alive. Rabu Raibu strong.
was that when they went to maki's vacation house?
Pretty sure they're on same trip.
Yep, it's my favorite episode to re-watch, and WonRush is my favorite of the 6 PVs, so I'm surprised it took me this long to notice.
Oh damn. I didn't notice this.
All them little things.
>Pretty sure they're on same trip.
You know, that's what I first though too, actually. But in the Wonderful Rush PV, Kotori actually forgets her hat at home. In episode 10, she has her hat, so I think it's more that the animators just wanted a nice little throwback.
>implying isn't different time lines
I want to put babies into her.
anon pls, you're scaring her
Her voice might be annoying sometimes, but her little screams are __hot___ as fuck.
That's how it starts, anon. I used to be like you, thinking "goddamn she has an annoying chipmunk voice". Then you start thinking her squeaks are pretty cute. Before long you're in love with her voice, buying every bit of Kotori merchandise you can get your hands on, unable to control your urge for more of that delicious helium-voice.
All I'm saying is it's a slippery slope.
She probably bought a new hat when they arrive.
I like her VA more.
Won't happen. My heart already belongs to Eri.
You're a bastard, ya know that?
Kotori Center was the best thing about it.
>all those perfections
Nico please, you're just as perfect in your own way.
From the Concert streaming at Singapore.
>Rin will never be center
I hope they do another vote so I can try again. One day we wll get through.
Yes she is.
They're gonna get a lot of hate for being nerds but goddamn what I wouldn't give to be in their shoes and be able to watch the live.
We helped her win the 6th MV Poll.
Now let's help her win International Saimoe.
I self-insert as Nozomi in times like this.
>We helped her win the 6th MV Poll.
No, "we" didn't. Japanese Dengeki readers did. That being said, I'll give my vote to Maki. I hope they include the other raibus, too.
She's the centre in no-change.
Don't think anyone cares unless your bosses in Singapore have a policy of firing people based on their FB pages.
μ's in their Music Start costumes.
>dem soramaru's quads
She clearly lifts.
The Final Pose for Bokura no Live.
I just notice this.
Needs an update.
since we're comparing then to now.
IMO 6th PV is pretty weak compared to earlier ones.
It's more like silly OVA for Maki fans than RabuRaibu PV. And I'm fine with that.
>BiBi idols in those slutty mogyutto outfits
I like it.
Probably not intended, trying too hard there, i bet you can do that with lots of pictures.
Now you mention it.
>BiBi wear garterbelt
>Printemps wear white kneesocks
>Lily White wear black socks (except Nozomi)
I skip the OVA.
On the other hand, I like the idea of Maki time swapping with her 10 year old self. And Nico having to babysit 10 year old Maki until 16 year old Maki returns.
Such yuri potential.
I'm okay with any Love Live pairing that age swaps one of the characters. Shit's cute as fuck.
Holy shit. Are you trying to kill me?
And for Wonderful Rush PV:
>BiBi tuck their scarf on their backs
>Printemps wear scarf around their necks
>Lily White wear scarf around their hips (except for Rin)
Do you think Umi and Nozomi argue over Eli when they're practicing?
This is actually pretty neat, that they put in small details like this.
And they totally forgot about Honoka.
slightly higher res close ups
>translated manga never
What is that between the PV3 and PV4 art? It looks radically different, like the girls were drawn by a different artist.
Super wild guess, but probably illusts for mobile game, based on old character design.
Some people had used proxy to vote. Voting for PV6 was not on Dengeki at that time. It was held at Love Live official website.
They look very different. I kinda like that Nico though.
I really wish Umi wore her hat more in the TV anime. It gives her a sense of supremacy and style.
Dengeki had readers vote on improving the appearance of the characters. That's why Love Live's design is a collaborated effort from fans as well.
There were a bunch of different artists working on a lot of the official art. Funny thing though, the official artist, murota yuuhei actually drew the first and last images in >>101851417
He really improved a lot. It's kind of nice, seeing Love Live grow and evolve like that.
In the first couple PV, they were aiming for the more mature look. Later the character were drawn to increase the moeness and youthfulness.
That probably explain why I like 3rd PV design the most. It's kinda middle ground between new and old design.
Well sweet, this is the oldest thread in the catalog. For anyone who wants to continue (with image replies), there is this thread:
