Just got around to watching this, and it was absolutely nothing like what the synopsis had me believe.

Expected shitty detective story with annoying tsundere loli.
Got amazing romance story instead.

other gems like this out there i might have missed due to misleading descriptions?
>>
>going off descriptions
The elevens make all of their anime and manga descriptions shitty, as a joke.
>>
If you liked that shit you might as well go watch everything by Mari Okada
>>
>>101700734
It's not like the first few episodes did much to make it seem it was anything else.
>>
>>101700790
Looking at what she has done, it would appear i kind of already have.
>>
>amazing romance story

Congratulations. You have now watched enough anime to be able to confuse mediocrity with excellence.

This will enable you to enjoy far more things in the future!
>>
The MC constantly calling Victorique's name in his whiny voice got on my nerves. Other than that, it was OK.
>>
>>101700903
So what do you suggest i watch/read instead if this is so bad?

True. But wouldn't be anime if the MC wasn't a faggot.
>>
>>101700903
Not OP, but I also thought it was an amazing romance.
At least it was something more than other thousand romances out there that keep teasing the viewer that the two main protagonists will do something romantic and then deliver it at the last episode or not at all.
Also, gotta give points to Victorique for being a good Classic Tsundere, and for the story to give some real bonding between Kujo and Victorique.
To this day it's still one of my favourite romances out there.

What is brass knuckles fight for $300, Trebek?
>>
Rewatching myself right now for the first time since it aired.
Just as good as I remember if not better.
Tsundere done right. Though, Kujo"s denseness does get old fast...
Really love this show. OP is not a faggot.
>>
>>101701221
the nigga wasn't bad, kinda like a japanese tintin
>>
>>101701723
It was kind of sad that he never really seemed to man up like that again until the very end.
>>

>open thread with the intent of asking whether people who like this also like sakurasou
>the two seem similar to me in a way i can't really or don't know how to express
>look up mari okada
Whelp - That explains it.

I've apparently seen like, a good portion of what she's done - And I love them all.
Time to watch the rest I guess.

Y'all better be watching Nagi no Asukara.
AOTfuckingY

>At least it was something more than other thousand romances out there

See, this is what I'm talking about. It was 1/10 instead of 0/10.
>amazing!

>>101701723
Yeah, had me fooled as well, that. Didn't exactly keep the faggotry at bay for very long though, did he? If he'd stayed that good a protag, it would have actually been good.

That's mostly the problem with his character of the anime, consistency. I would love to know what he's like in the novels that came to the West but they got discontinued forever.
>>
>>101702119
>loving all of mari okada's stuff
Do I laugh now? Was that the punchline?

Why are you even here?...
>>
> amazing romance
> detective stories weren't still shitty

could have been a decent romance if kujo wasn't a useless retard. But nooo, just had to be worse than generic dense mc by making the situation constantly worse.
>>
>>101702403
Please don't abuse ellipses.
>>
>>101702119
I assume it's the same deal with those 2 shows of the synopsis making it seem terrible but actually turn out much better?

Guess i will look into those next.
>>
>>101702936
If you can push through the first 4 or so episodes of NnA, it's so very worth it.
>>
>>
>>101700628
>amazing romance story
>studio BONES
That doesn't mesh.
>>
>>101705411
I know what you mean. But apparently something went wrong and they went with the original ending.
>>
Thought the same thing as OP, continued for the awesome soundtrack, and stayed for the nice romance were MCs actually got together.
>>
>>101705411
Why does Bones get the bad wrap it does?
I don't get it.
>>
>>101706509
More often than not, their shows have awful endings. Also, ever since X'amd they've been churning out nothing but shit.
Of course, I'm referring to pre Space Dandy/Noragami Bones. They seem to be getting back up on their feet again. What's also weird is that they made both my favorite and most hated anime.
>>
Romance my ass

Did they even kiss?
>>
>>101706645
they get married
>>
>>101706632
>Of course, I'm referring to pre Space Dandy/Noragami Bones
In case that's blurry for some people, I don't mean that Bones has been shit until this point. I mean that they were once a great studio up until X'amd, and then they were a shit studio, but now Dandy and Noragami seem to indicate that they're doing good again. I'm excited for Chaika.
>>
>>101706509
Seems to be mostly for making lots of mediocre and bad shows lately. That coupled with their retarded original anime endings in stuff like FMA and Soul Eater have been giving them some bad pres.
>>
>dat anguish cry when Kujo got taken away as hostage
>>
>>101705639
>Awesome soundtrack
Never really noticed this. Seemed more a case of the soundtrack fitting well, but not being anything spectacular on its own.
