So I'm reading the Chuunibyou Light Novel, and I can't stop wondering why Kyoani decided to change so much in the Anime, there's seriously nothing that's faithful to the source material.
Also, what's /a/ opinion on the Light Novel?
Ren 5 was so bad, what the hell are they thinking? A nap competition? Even Hyouka could do better than that.
>Thinking kyoani does faithful or good adaptations post Haruhi
They just take characters and plots and shit them up for the moe money.
Because they have the rights over the LN so they can do whatever they want with them.
I really liked the light novel, how far into it are you, OP? I don't want to spoil something you haven't read yet.
I still haven't watched the show.
Because they believed that Chun2 comedy was more popular than Chun2 drama.
if you want an actual answer, the anime was produced before even the first volume was finished. There was nothing to be faithful to because nothing was written.
-What were some difficulties upon inserting original aspects into anime that weren’t present in the original work?
Ishihara: (regarding Chuunibyou) I inserted original aspects because I felt there wasn’t enough characters since we didn’t even have a full volume of material to work with at that time. Thus, making the anime was convenient for me; there weren’t really any troublesome portions. For Kumin-sempai, I wanted an ordinary person, but she ended up somewhat weird. (laughs) Dekomori was (Jukki) Hanada-san’s idea. Her saying “death” was one of the first things we decided, so it was easy for her too.
I just got to the "Class Trip" chapter, I gotta say in someways the Light Novel is better. But I personally like the Anime overall so far, the additional Anime only characters make the series more enjoyable :3
It's more that Chu2 drama was terrible and if you believe the first season had a good ending you need to kill yourself.
4 and 5 were really bad because they were just filler and sidelined the main characters.
S1 with the Isshiki episode did it much better because there were hints about the main plot and it served as a good transition to the show's second half.
>What is Nichijou
>What is Hyouka
>What is Clannad
Is Dekomori just as annoying in the manga?
I don't stream, I'm not that much of a pleb...
I dropped the LN a year ago or something. It doesn't contain the stuff and charcters I liked the most in the anime and it seemed kinda boring. I usually prefer LNs over anime, this is the first time I couldn't like it.
Dekomori is an Anime only character, all people who think she's annoying deserve, DEATH!
Chapter 12 of the first book Is my favorite part of the whole series. I've gone back and read only that chapter because its so sweet
Can't you read?
they fucked up a lot of Nichijou actually, they added (boring) segments that weren't in the manga.
Hyouka was completely faithful to the novels, how could they 'shit them up' if all they did was give it the visuals and they did great with all art, direction and animation? Same with Nichijou. Clannad is disputable, though, because it was before the second season of Haruhi and because the VN was too long to put into the series, despite it being two seasons of two cours each.
Nichijou wasn't faithful, they added sketches without the main characters that were weird and bizarre and pretty much nonsensical, then after the show started to bomb, they removed them for the 12episodes rerun of the series
Kyoani is clinically insane. Just look at KnK. Even in Hyouka there were glimpses of their insanity with Chitanda's presentation.
What do you mean?
The only thing terrible here is your taste and you really need to kill yourself.
