Sword Art Online S2 character designs
GGO > ALO > SAO
Can't wait for actual good stuff.
Can someone please tell me whether this kirito is female or male because my penis is confused.
Does it really matter?
Super rare male avatar that looks really girly.
Do we know that the voice actors are going to reprise their roles?
What if they change Kirito's voice actor to a female one?
We already know that she is Sinon.
Is that Ghost
>trap kirito doujinshi
I can't wait for the shitstorm that will come.
And all the confused boners.
It's gonna be great with all the bullshit he pulls.
It better be tagged with NTR, Gangbang, Mind Break, Gender Bender, Impregnation, Dirty Old Man and Shibari
I, and probably good half of /a/, will watch this only because of her. Though, now looking at those designs, guns "mite b cool" too.
But I swear if this faggot author pulls off some bullshit again, but now with guns, this show will be dropped faster than he could admit that he never even read about guns before.
>Cutting up bullets because of SUPAH REACTION TIEM
Ready to drop?
They better get another seiyuu for trap Kirito.
Man, I always imagined Aki to be hotter.
Don't do this to me now.
Still not liking Sinon.
He cuts bullets with a light saber and beats an NPC that is virtually impossible to beat.
I enjoy her work as much as the next guy but I'm getting really tired of people being fags about it
what's her name,kirita?
Fucking hell, no, I'm out, dropped before starting.
>Those gun designs at the bottom
You.. You don't think they actually took the time to do proper research do you?
That would be very unlike A-1.
They most likely hired a mecha designer.
That sounds like something A-1 would do.
Well, the only important gun in this game is her rifle.
They might have at least researched that.
oh shit, shinons design. I had no idea the suit was was that specific.
Is Kirito's rifle based on a real-life one?
I Sword Art now?
>based on a real-life one?
No, it's made-up. But it bears resemblance to Barrett M82.
All of them are.
He's using a gun (Five-seven), though.
Sinon's rifle is a PGM Hecate II.
>anything good about it
My gun-fu was weak. In shame, I deleted my previous post and I will now go into mountains to train my mind and body.
Might as well add trigger discipline to my filter before this show starts.
DEATH GUN IS STERBEN AKA SHINKAWA SHOICHI, OLDER BROTHER OF SHINKAWA KYOUJI AKA SPIEGEL WHO IS FRIEND OF SINON.
They kill people using drug in real life while death gun shoots them in game to make it look like he kills people through game.
Now you don't need to watch this crap.
Thank you Spoiler-kun.
IF YOUR NAME ISN'T KIRITO, YOU ARE EITHER USELESS, IRRELEVANT, EVIL OR WANT HIS DICK.
You a boy
Why do I see boobs on that boy?
IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE SINON WANTS HIS DICK TOO
Want his dick is actually enough
Is this the Ara-Ara nurse, who's her name again, Aki?
Shit man, things going differently in my mind
Yeah, that's Aki.
The only important gun is that pistol Death Gun uses.
So you mean they DIDN'T fuck up his design by making him look like his real-world self?
Probably from the metal chest plate.
For some reason, I imagine doujins about Aki raping Kirito.. Need to stop self-inserting into him now.
I dropped this around ep12, but let me clarify this. He escaped from one death-trap MMO and defeated the generic villain, then entered another one to escape again and defeat the generic villain again, and now will enter again to escape again and kill another generic villain? Why it's always MMO? Why he keeps doing this? Why this garbage is so popular?
She looks hotter in the LN illustration
Even counselor in his school is much better
>"Now then, strip, Kirigaya-kun."
>"The electrodes, to stick them on. In any case, when you were hospitalized, I saw everything already so you don't have to turn red—"
That was a Type 54 IIRC.
They can't really fuck that up.
>self-inserting into him
Otakus love Kirito because it's easy to insert themselves into him. SAO is a wish-fulfillment pandering slop of shit. That's why it's popular.
No, this time he's a special agent for the secret japanese vidya police for whom he tries to catch someone who kills people in a game who then die in real life.
>Kayaba being generic
>the secret japanese vidya police
Oh, for fuck's sake. He's a super-secret agent now.
>Traps a million people in a death trap
Yeah, he's definitely one in a million. Doesn't mean he's well-written.
Dude that shit is even in Counter Strike
They can't messed up that hard. Beside, it design is pretty simple
Law Enforcement is where super-men go to achieve the most.
I haven't read the next arc yet, because I can only take so much stupidity at once, but I'm sure it'll keep going like that.
Million? Shit, I mean ten thousand. Stupid whim-typo!
It's clear why he did it.
He wanted to live in an actual fantasy world, so he created SAO
Why does the Japanese government even have a video game division? Can't they just ban virtual gaming? I mean, it's not like it killed a lot of people before...
Oh good, the face looks much better than the initial promotional art's..
And how does that connect to microwaving people's brains?
People die when they are killed, that's the way it should be.
Kirito's seiyuu has voiced a couple of traps already
That's just AW. Type 54 is a pistol.
How I hate that "type" designation, you have no idea. Tank? Type X. Plane? Type X. Rifle? Type X. Pistol? Type X. Fucking chinks, "Type X" my ass, it's all just rip-offs of established models.
IF YOU DIE IN THE GAME, YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE
>video game division
it's Virtual Storage Management Sector of the Communication Network's Management Division; the «Virtual Division»
And it's from private company, government can't just shut 'em down like that. Besides, they have made AmuSphere for NerveGear substitute which is safer
Well, you were probably looking for the word mediocre rather than generic.
Kayaba wanted to make SAO the real life of his players.
It worked with Kirito, didn't it?
That'd be the point of a game after all, right?
How they're making a profit?
Oh sorry, I misread thing
Then it must be this right, they seems doing good in the LN
By selling shit duh,
Selling game and it's device
You know what, I think I'd like to live there as long as they tell me about this rule. I'd start out bit by bit, maybe train with other people. That kind of shit.
Looks like shit.
Thank you for informing us.
>Selling microwave helmets
It's not a game.
Kayaba didn't want it to be a game.
Because otherwise people wouldn't play the way he wants..?
Otherwise people wouldn't treat it like real life.
am i the only one worried about sinon's neck on the first pic?
A-1 does it again. Yes it's long but not that girrafe
Guys, I want to marry Kirito.
I don't know what I'm feeling. Please help me.
If Kirito has broken powers that only he has and doesn't deserve I'm not watching
Unless he gets raped in that tight trap body
well thankfuly shino looks perfect and death gun looks great too.
She is too long.
Of course he does, although it considering his history, it's almost-but-not-really justified. I mean, yeah, you'll probably hate this.
It's really too bad the author made story changes from the web novel to light novel. In the web novel, Kirito lost to Sinon, but that got changed in the published version.
I hope we get ALO Sinon / Caliber SS too.
He does, no need to watch it then.
The scene where he cut her bullet even though they were only 10 meters apart from each other and she already had her fingers on the trigger made me throw my e-reader against the floor.
Luckily it survived.
Kirito has broken powers but honestly he's not that broken. Kirito uses the lightsaber thing but we find out that the previous champion basically used CQC and stole people's weapons to win. So he was even more bullshit tier than Kirito.
>dodging and punching is more bullshit than CUTTING BULLETS
I don't understand why he has to asspull for Kirito. I don't think there was that big of issue with him losing to her in the original version. Then again knowing elevens' tastes I guess the self-insert losing can't be allowed.
That dude was some trained veteran in real life and sneaked up on his targets due to experience.
That's totally different from what Kirito is doing.
That guy later appears in Alicization (in the web-novels) and can eat people's souls.
It's not fair to compare Kirito to him.
What? Are you serious?
Hey, Crunchyroll seems to think Season 2 will be a Spring anime
Any source, or are they talking out of their ass?
>calling Boss technique "bullshit"
I guess some bullshit lightsaber that cuts bullets is far less broken
He's a 'Murican sociopathic mercenary who murdered his fiance, and gets off on killing.
When he enters Alicization, he learns he can eat people's souls and learn what they know, and is immune to basically all damage (Except Sinon's rifle, because Guns are the only thing he believes are able to hurt him.)
>ALO > SAO
You can't seriously think that.
It would make sense but I can't find source on that.
We'll probably know once AnimeJapan2014 is over.
Sinon uses Willpower to turn her bow into a Hecate II.
You can do anything with willpower in that world.
That world is all about cheating if you haven't noticed it yet.
No, it wouldn't make sense. Season 1 is currently airing reruns, and shouldn't be done until the Summer Season begins.
They're going to air both seasons at the same time?
Won't watch it. If people thought S1 was bullshit then this will be ridiculous.
Didn't know about the rerun.
Probably not then.
I only read the first volume so this is news to me. Better not read it..
We incarnate system now
Alicization, in my opinion is one of the better arcs though. Mostly because Kirito isn't the only character with any kind of development.
Yeah, pretty much.
Eugeo has the Mother-Fucking Jedi force at the end of Volume 13, and Alice straight up called it "the incarnating arm"
Well, that's the path it is taking.
It's also accelerated by 1000.
Well, he created Accel World, based on the concepts from Alicization, so it makes sense.
While we're on the topic of SAO...
The text of the preview for Volume 14 is out.
The very first line is this:
>"kirito...then, it depend on you...the world..and people ...please protect it..."
Cardinal confirmed for death.
Yeah we can see that coming, but from another thread last night some anon says SAO story won't meet AW at the end (wut?). I can't say for sure I'm still in vol. 11
So what it mean?
I read a quote that Reki himself said maybe need third title to connect this two world. Fuck this shit man
So, all this fucking MMOs are death traps?
fucking WoW is nothing compared to this
Well, in the Web Novel version of SAO, Alicization ended with everyone in the world learning about Underworld, and all the AI, who are basically human.
For the two to be connected, this has to NOT happen. Unless everyone in Accel World had their memories wiped.
None besides first Aincrad were death traps.
Does the writer ever learn anything? For fuck sake.
"Super rare", in the sense that it's given to people have a very long play time, in the Seed. (Kirito happens to have 2 years straight.. soooo...)
It's not like it even has an affect on the plot, aside from getting him an excuse to interact with Sinon.
No GGO's story is about some guy from SAO that got off on killing people deciding to try to kill people in real life while making it look like it was because of dying in game.
Ne, someone want to translate this?
I hear all the Chinese translators are extremely disappointed, after learning about the V14 preview.
No it's given to people at random. More playtime just meant higher chance of getting it. It was still a super rare avatar design to get.
Right, unless Reki scrapped his work all over again
Heh after all this time, why not?
Bump for someone to translate this
I'll bet Kawahara's going to throw even more things out the window, and that dying quote belongs to Alice.
I want to see her again, any chance of this happening?
Who the hell is that? Serlut?
She wasn't in the Web Novel. Most of Volume 10 was written only in the Light Novel.
She was mentioned in the Web Novel, several times, and I guess when Reki was editting Volume 10's contents, he decided to expand on some stuff.
Oh, I hope he gives her more scenes then in the LN version.
He dun goofd cockblocking himself up till vol. 11
I bet with little effort three more pussy will fall to him again. Serlut, Supervisor, and Ronye at least
Here's a piece of the preview image, someone took a photo of.
Wish people wouldn't take pictures this close to the photo, but yeah.
The preview is basically the start of the fight...
You AW x SAO Crossover faggots got something your way.
Reki was in Taiwan, and had a Q&A..
>Q: is kuroyukihime the daughter of asuna and kirito?
>A: this question is hard to answer. but i can say she is not their "biological" child.
Make of this what you will.
>Kirito has broken powers but honestly he's not that broken
I'm well aware of that
People who were trapped in Aincrad or anyone behind of it maybe not really related to the BB directly
But one thing for sure SAO and AW is in same universe
So will GGO play out like COD, BF, CS, ARMA, or none of the above?
kinda like gunz the duel.
just like any normal mmorpg but with guns instead of swords
Pretty much this: >>101688013
It plays out like an MMORPG, with stats and an open world, but incorporates gun mechanics instead.
As opposed to M1 and M4?
GGO is an FPSMMORPG, not a straight up FPS.
Adopted child then? I'm quite interested in seeing what can the author do to die AW and SAO
How big is the divergence between the webnovel and the published version of Alicization thus far?
Based on hearsay, the biggest difference is that Eugeo became an IK. In the web novel, he never submits and dies.
Fuck that was funny
Seems crunchyroll updated the article,
>CORRECTION: Scheduling for Sword Art Online II has not been announced beyond a 2014 timeframe.
I don't know who that is on the bottom, but the hair looks like greasy hair that hasn't been washed in weeks.
That's Kirito. So yeah, probably hasn't washed.
Oh god, it's starting to be so bad that it's good.
I'm already laughing.
What's it feel like knowing this will never be animated SAO fags
The instant Asuna’s feet reached the ground outside the wagon a sword came striking at her. Asuna parried the blow on reflex, and thought the strike was powerful. Sparks flew and it took Asuna three chained hits to negate the attack completely with her rapier. A blonde beauty glared at Asuna, with anger flashed like lightning in her eyes. Ronie and Teiza hastily asked Alice to stop fighting, Asuna wasn’t a enemy. Asuna was confused for a moment there why was the AI both sides IRL are after holds such enmity for her, but that was dispelled as soon as Alice spoke. Alice asked who Asuna is, and why did she approach Kirito? Asuna threw away all other emotions, reflexively raging anger swelled up inside her. In response, Asuna replied:
“’Why’? Because he’s mine.”
He was asked by Kikouka to make contact with a figure who somehow is connected with a couple mysterious deaths.
He's not a "super secret agent", just because he's asked to do a favor by him.
The only reason Kirito is going in, and not some cop, is because there isn't even any proof the guy is connected, and they only know about him through internet rumors.
Okay, I'm going to watch this I guess, whether it's bad or not.
Mediocre is what wastes your time, bad could be funny.
If you can ignore him cutting bullets and the bullshit the author pulled out of his ass, that he could actually in some way relate to Shino's past.
The part about her past and their relation made me nearly puke.
For the ones who already know what is gonna happen, will this season be good? i mean the first one started great but went to shit quite fast so i wonder if i should finish watching the first season to watch the second one.
GGO had everything going for it, but Reki still managed to fuck it up. It's still better than SAO or ALO, though. I just hope you're used to Kirito's bullshit.
I would finished it for Sugu, since she makes a few appearances in the second season.
Just watch the Extra Edition episode, if you don't want to finish it.
Not that bothered, Asuna and Alice a shit.
I think i will finish the series, thanks guys.
I want to see THIS animated.
>“Are… are you all right?”
>After lowering my sight at that hoarse voice, I saw Alice gripping tightly onto the golden chain with her free hand and looking up at me with a somewhat pale face. That expression gave off an unexpectedly childish impression and made me want to pretend I was falling against my better judgement, but killed that thought, knowing this wasn’t the place for it.
>“I’m fine… I think.”
>Casually giving a signal with my right hand, I chanted the art again and brought forth a new piton. Driving it into the next gap I could see overhead with plenty of strength, I climbed up with the same process as earlier. While embracing a modest sense of accomplishment over finally advancing, though it was merely two meters, I called out to Alice below.
>“Alright, looks like it works! Like what I did, come up that first piton… no, that metal rod.”
>However, the integrity knight remained still while looking up at me. Her lips made a small movement before long and a faint voice reached me.
>“Hah? What did you say?”
>“…I can’t, that’s what!”
>“No… no, you can. With that strength of yours, pulling your own body up would be…”
>“That’s not what I meant!”
I imagine this'll be a summer show. The question is whether it's 1 cour or 2.
If GGO only, 1.
Asuna's volume added won't warrant a second cour.
And they messed Caliber up with the first season, so I dunno what they will do.
They could do a flashback episode. You might be able to stretch GGO into the second cour a bit, then Rosario and Caliber might be enough to fill a season.
They MIGHT do a flashback episode to fill in Tonkii.
In that case, they can do,
>Volume 9, Interlude 1. Kirito Dies
Are they going to have Kirito's usual VA put on as girly a voice as he can or are they casting a female seiyuu for his GGO avatar?
>Volume 9, Interlude 1. Kirito Dies
That would be amazing. And then Underworld arc never gets adapted.
They'll animate it regardless. I just hope they hold off on it, and let anime-only fans cry a few years.
They would need to include the second prologue in that case.
And that's quite long, nearly 100 pages of technical talk with Shino and Asuna.
Or they keep if for a flashback again.
Is there any mecha in GGO, also>>101680000
who is the guy with the blue/white/grey gear?
And how many eps do you think GGO will be?
They could do flashback. Or they could try to trim the conversation down. They'd have to include some parts of it, as Interlude II alone is too short for an episode. (if I recall correctly)
Yeah, Interlude 2 is only them leaving the cafe and getting attacked.
The guy with the helmet?
"Pale Rider", I believe.
I mean interlude 1.
There's a robotic horse mount, but I don't remember any suit types.
The name says ペイルライダー, which should be a guy called "Pale Rider" He dies in the BoB
Phantom Bullet Manga has been announced. Here's hoping the art isn't as complete shit as pic-related.
The Progressive mango is drawn pretty well, too bad it's never gonna finish. 7 chapters just to cover Floor 1--
Probably going slowly, so that it doesn't catch up to the Novel.
Though, Aria in the Starless Night was only 1/3 of its book...
The artist is, 山田孝太郎, Yamada Koutarou
Anyone know if he's any good? (I'm ignorant)
Can I ask most anon here what is your motivation to read the rest of this story? I kinda dropped the series back when Alicization started getting translated and speed watched the anime just to get to the action bits.
So is Alicization better than the previous arcs or are you people here to see how it all ends?
also is re-written ver of the story worth looking at ( progression was it called?)
>Doesn't affect the plot
>Leads him to interact with a female that is deathly scared of boys and when she learns he a boy freaks out and sets up their characters developments
yep totally not apart of the plot
I'll start by saying Progressive isn't a "rewrite". It's just another novel line-up, that takes place in the Aincrad arc, and follows the progression of the front-lines, as they clear each floor. I've liked it so-far, but there isn't any translator to even finish the first book.
Alicization, I have also enjoyed, and it's probably my favorite arc so far (though, it's kind of split into several mini-arcs.
I meant that it doesn't really affect his ability to play. It was just a gimik to set this part up.
Alicization is kind of better but it is pretty pantsu on head retarted sometimes.
Even more than the previous arcs.
If you are able to tolerate a lot of bullshit then I'm sure you will enjoy this arc.
>it happened too late for abgrund
If you exclude the Web Novel events, what within Alicization so far has been this level of retarded?
I was about to drop GGO cause the start of the book felt like a repeat of the plots from the other books. heck I kinda enjoy Mother's Rosario cause the focus was different
>all the shitposting that is going to flood /k/ when this airs
Really not looking forward to it. /ak/ threads here are fine and there's always a new Gate chapter or something it seems.
/ak/ threads on /k/ are full of autists who just spam the same upotte pics every thread.
If you want a different focus, Alicization should work perfectly then.
Unless you want more Asuna, in which case, you'll hate Alicization. (Except for the 3 mini-chapters she's in)
Is Asuna in GGO or is this story just about sturito having misunderstandings with some skanks?
Asuna doesn't enter GGO.
Sinon mistakes Kirito for a girl, but ends up hating him after she finds out he's not. They sort of compete, but there really isn't any kind of romance or feelings between the two.
>sturito having misunderstandings with some skanks?
I guess that's pretty accurate. There's pretty much only one female that ever shows up in this arc though.
Of course, the only misunderstanding is about his gender.
I really only am going to watch this for PLOT so am I going to be disappointed?
If by Sugus you mean Suguha, No
If by Sugus you mean Boobs, probably not.
If by Sugus you mean Ass, most likely.
Every other character gets sidelined hard.
Enjoy your trap Kirito and Sawashiro best girl.
>They sort of compete, but there really isn't any kind of romance or feelings between the two
Is that why she has to practically hold in her gushing wetness when they meet at the cafe in Alicization Beginning?
Well if there's a lot of ass I guess I'm in.
Aside from gratuitous angles and short shorts is there anything of note from the LN's?
I like how Kirito can solve a quest for which no solution was yet coded by the game company. His ability to use his "willpower" to ignore game rules, situations, or essentially rewrite the game effects is pretty hax. He's able to chain several sets of combo moves into just one turn and have those moves, attacks, and effects take place before you can continue your started turn even though you were the one to start the turn technically. That means a spell that delivers its effect over a period of time (like one second) is now forced to deliver all of its effects in a fraction of a second as well as finish its mandatory global cooldown so that the next combo effects spell can start and finish.
Only female cast I think we'll be seeing from this arc is Sinon, with some Nurse Aki, and a couple scenes with the previous cast.
Not sure how they'll do the second part (if there is a second part)
>I like how Kirito can solve a quest for which no solution was yet coded by the game company.
That's one of the things that bothers me about how SAO moves forward. Asuna goes from the shy quiet girl that almost wants to give up living at the start of SAO, to a confident officer in the raid guild, brave, etc.
Then she gets turned into the damsel in the tower for ALO.
Then she's basically barely heard from again after that? Never goes with Kirito into any of these future investigations or whatever? While Kirito cheats on her with successive girls each new arc?
>I like how Kirito can solve a quest for which no solution was yet coded by the game company
Happened one time, and it was cheating anyways. (didn't even "pass the quest")
>His ability to use his "willpower" to ignore game rules, situations, or essentially rewrite the game effects is pretty hax
This happens multiple times through out the series, by characters other than Kirito. Before Alicization, Kirito does anything to this effect, a total of 2 times (maybe 3, if you want to say him resisting gravity magic counts), and 1 time after Alicization, a world in which EVERYONE does this.
>He's able to chain several sets of combo moves into just one turn
He does this once in the whole series, and says that he almost never gets it right when he tries to do this.
>and have those moves, attacks, and effects take place before you can continue your started turn even though you were the one to start the turn technically.
>That means a spell that delivers its effect over a period of time (like one second) is now forced to deliver all of its effects in a fraction of a second as well as finish its mandatory global cooldown so that the next combo effects spell can start and finish
In GGO, you can have personal armor that resists 0.50 caliber sniper rifle hits. I assume that if Kirito wears it, he'll still be able to dodge and use his lightsaber with his usual speed.
The author's writing style is to ignore logic problems. If the problem is not acknowledged to exist, then it is not a problem. And a lot of the readers won't notice or care about such technicalities anyways. The light novels and anime were not created for the same fanbase as Detective Conan.
>The author's writing style is to ignore logic problems. If the problem is not acknowledged to exist, then it is not a problem
you got it wrong anon, he goes into too much logic that he ends up making people question tons of other things and he can't think of all the details thus some things go without explanation.
if you truly think thats the issue then it probably means you only watched the anime which is a Bad adaptation instead of reading the novels
>you can have personal armor that resists 0.50 caliber sniper rifle hits
Where is this from?
And Kirito already knew where she was going to shoot before she pulled the trigger, so all he had to do was put the sword in the way of the bullet, and it would be over.
Alizication united volume 14 is called
Means Eugeo doesnt die or whatever
The author half-asses the technical explanations and leaves the readers hanging which is the cause for all these Frodos.
If he had just said, "a techno-wizard did it" nobody would ask any questions. But he has to say "microwaves fry their brains" and then people start questioning things.
He mentions that the NerveGear has a powerful microwave magnet.
Not that it microwaves your brain.
>All the trap Kirito doujins that this will spawn
>shits a video game /k/, calm your yourself
the point is, he goes into details how the process works and you can't stop it, but of course Frodo's will try and come up with hundreds of ways to avert the situation which is fine, but then again, if that happened then we wouldn't have any story right.
the author could have simply said, it has a fail safe mechanism which uses magic that kills its user if tampered with (without giving anything else)
I hated the first season and dropped it but i'm gonna pick this up nonetheless. I don't think i'm the only one in this situation
>hasnt seen the two that are already out and the one that still hasnt been translated
well you assumed wrong because Kirito can't wear it.
you know people still argue over how fucking magic works too. It's just the way this board is.
The anime should boost the amount by a lot.
Despite the fact that I dislike traps, I'm interested, and amused.
Is the special worth watching at all?
They're going have a glimpse of the American do operator shit right?
Just a recap with swimsuits.
If you already saw Season 1, just skip to the last 20 minutes or so (unless you want all that fanservice)
is sound like a case of being a smart-ass. Where he tries to use technical term or his wiki-level knowledge for his explanation. But in-face with people who have some actual knowledge in the field the writer looks like a fucking idiot. I mean last SAO thread, I remember some anon explain how his uses of AIDS was limited or something alone those lines.
Also I feel like the adults in this series are very incompetent
this is literally the only value in watching the OVA, and it's about 5 minutes of this.
you mean they try to argue, but really if the author hadnt tried going into so much details, the story would have been better for those people.
I appreciate him going into so much details when explaining things or Kiritos thought process, but it makes other people go autistic about things and later other series that do need explaining get scot free
Sweet Ass Online.
A flashback scene at most, but I'm betting on talking heads.
So you would rather he did no research at all, and just said, "Yuuki's sick. That's why she has to stay in this room 24/7. But we can't tell you what she has", or "NerveGear magically destroys your brain," and that's it?
The technical aspects are pretty logical, I would say.
hardly, he explained the basics of things with many details, he aint an electrician to know all the logic details he might miss, nor an engineer, he is a writer, of course it is his duty to at least inform himself to be able to write a more believable story, but when you have thousands of people questioning and looking for any nook or crany they can to find flaws looking at your work, of course some things wont make much sense logically.
I hate to bring this up again, but remind me why they couldn't just rip the helmets off before the microwaves activated?
>but it makes other people go autistic about things
What did he give explanations to, that made it seem "autistic"?
I'm betting on silhouette of his back. with flashing light in front.
It can magically detect that the helmet is being manhandled and makes a pizza pop.
the helmets, how they have a failsafe that if tampered they fry your brain etc.
then later Frodos started with theories like >>101699509, using EMP's etc etc etc and that was just episode 1
Pretty sure because no one wanted to be responsible for the death of 10k people?
You release one person, someone else takes his place. Or is that to hard to fathom?
Not to mention, I'm sure there are straps and such to secure it on your head. Removing them will likely activate the process.
Any tampering at all resulted in a death.
He never went into details about HOW it kills you though. He only ever said that it has a powerful electromagnet, which could theoretically kill you.
I doubt it needs to cook your brain.
One theory would probably be that it destroys the information in your brain, as in the web novel, it was said that removing the helmet left you in a comatose state.
Did you guys read the article on CR for this?
>A lot of thought was also given to how to handle the gunplay mechanics. This even entailed a staff research trip to Guam.
>Director Tomohiko Ito notes that Sawashiro was cast based on series author Reki Kawahara's comments about the character's intense emotions.
Good taste there.
and you forgot how he mentions, that if tampered the device detected that and fried the brain, and that it had an internal battery that could power the unit for 2 hours that was of 1 use only so that people could be moved to hospitals.
all those things created a ton of Frodos with different theories.
They better not fuck this up. They even took a trip to Guam for this.
What are you saying here?
That people were mad they couldn't think of shit to work around the problems?
>going to Guam
>not going the glorious United States where the staff can shoot .50 cal sniper rifles and miniguns as part of their research
im pretty sure for a device that is constantly controlling all your senses it wouldnt be too hard for it to cause brain death or some other shit
the helmets are hooked on the bottom, just fooling around with that is going to set it off. The microwave IS the battery for the whole thing, so it's already charged to fry you.
If they shoot guns, they would never want to go back to a country without civilian guns.
MR is god tier, probably the best arc. My body can't wait for it.
Also, Yuuki is the best girl and strongest.
I think the problem is that this is set in the very near future, so any problems given would be easily worked around. However some techno-jargon could have easily covered his tracks.
I mean I don't think anyone has bothered to work the magic behind GBF.
but the setting given would allow people to stop it one way or another, better yet how would no-one notice such faults before allowing it to sell
Im just saying that, with so many details, Frodos came up with many questions and solutions, of course some solutions are feasable, but then they blame the author for not having thought about how to avoid that solution.
now I'm trying to remember what Japanese guy went to America and the first thing he did was go to a shooting range. "shot scary guns".
Is that you AIDS? Will they even animate this?
S2 is 25 episodes, two cours.
PB, MR, and Caliber are practically confirmed.
Because Kayaba created most of it, and likely was able to trick other people?
There were safeties in check, I'm sure, but the creator of a device could easily hide a crack for him to open.
Have the episode numbers been confirmed?
>Have the episode numbers been confirmed?
I haven't seen it myself, but that's what I've read from others.
>25 episodes, two cours.
Still want someone to translate this...
>"Kirito… I leave the rest to you… save the world… save everyone…"
>The symbol of Axiom Church is the white tower "Central Cathedral"
A1 will fuck it up
do you really want it animated at all if they are doing it?
Google translate it, as far as I can tell, the summary is basically a recap of previous events barring the dying quote from an unknown character.
>To save the Underworld from destruction, Kirito heads to the Cathedral's very top floor (Floor 100) where the Administrator awaits
>Eugeo is also heading up there trying to restore Alice to her "True Form", though she has become an Integrated Knight (?)
>Eugeo is aided by the philosopher "Cardinal" from the Isolated Library
>Unexpected accident, Kirito and Eugeo lose each other on their way up
>Kirito gets blasted outside the tower walls, but temporarily work together (?) with Integrated Knight Alice to get back in the game
>And follow Eugeo as he progresses up the tower inside.
By the way I'm not an LNfag.
>Kirito's forehead on that left picture
>And they reach Floor 99
>Kirito and Alice find themselves facing Eugeo wrapped in Integrated Knight armor and a cold light in his eyes
>As Eugeo draws his sword, Kirito charges at him head-on
Oh look, more sao shit.
Can't stand you're crap, so I'll hide this thread.
>Will that omen of battle and separation heard from that distant thunder on their day of departure become reality?
>Will Kirito's desperate calls reach Eugeo, whose memories have been sealed?
>Latest novel goes on sale on April 10th, get your shekels ready
Wow, a summary, only the quote is new.
Who's that again?
Yujio/Eugeo, the new male character that Kirito gets to NTR.
>Has been Kirito's companion since volume 9.
>Who's that again?
You obviously haven't read it.
Why the fuck would I read SAO?
The one who succumbs to the soft.
That's a good point.
Why are you in this thread? You seem upset.
Can't blame him.
You really can't.
>“I don’t care for a reason to fight.”
>“That person had given me what I wanted. That is enough for me.”
>Dyne has a fucking Sombrero, wtf?
>Pale Rider looks pretty cool,
>Behemoth isn't as intimidating as I thought he'd be.
>Yamikaze... Looks nothing like I would have imagined. Is that a red mohawk?
>in the Web Novel version of SAO, Alicization ended with everyone in the world learning about Underworld, and all the AI, who are basically human.
>For the two to be connected, this has to NOT happen.
Yep. There's other stuff too, like the robots, and Yui being accepted as a true AI, and Kirito pretty much dropping his old plans to study augmented reality implants in the US. It's wildly divergent from what Accel World's backhistory would be, and foundational parts of some of those have already gone to print.
IMO the author ditched any old plans about SAO and AW being the same continuity way back. I think he's attached to the characters and concepts in SAO, knows that they don't quite fit in AW, and will instead write another SAO arc.
How come the die hard fans of SAO never read the light novels but the haters read it?
> cuz they know the truth of how shitty it is
Really? Cause 85% of the time, it's the other way around.
its the other way around, if the haters know so much of the story its because they keep getting corrected all the time by the people that do know the story hence, they seem to know alot about the story.
hell the haters already know all the spoilers for the upcoming anime as well.
>I doubt it needs to cook your brain.
>One theory would probably be that it destroys the information in your brain, as in the web novel, it was said that removing the helmet left you in a comatose state.
It wouldn't take much to kill someone. Consider http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebral_aneurysm#Rupture : one <10mm rupture in one blood vessel in the brain, 60% instant death rate.
The author certainly never clarified how it kills you.
Kirito merely mentions the existence of a electromagnet, but the method of killing is never elaborated on. Not even what the symptoms or effects are.
The interpretation of the Progressive Manga artist shows Diavel spazzing before his heart flat-lines, and he dies. It also has smoke sizzling out of his head...
Of course, most of the Progressive manga has a lot of changes from canon, for one reason or another.
In all, we don't know the method of death, which is really all the author needs to keep from us.
I wasn't trying for a definitive explanation of exactly how it kills, just pointing out that it's not as implausible as the screaming frodotrolls insisted a few months back. It doesn't have to directly fry everything, just do the kind of damage that escalates on its own.
(Also when reading that page, I assumed it was Asuna's imagination of how it was happening, since it was shaded differently)
I know what you were going for. I was just saying that any explanation works, really.
There are an unlimited number of possible ways for an electromagnet that close to your brain, to assure death, instantly. So it's very plausible for either idea to be used. Hell, for all we know, the NerveGear utilizes multiple ways to assure death.
And yeah, that scene could just be her imagining it.
For fucks sake. People ban kinder eggs because some stupid kid choke on the toy but when a vitual game is developed that can also kill they don't ban it.
kinder eggs were banned in murrica only, any other country knows that if a child chokes with one of those little toys, even when it's clearly specified that it could happen, and that you shouldn't give them to kids younger than 3 years old, then it's the fucking fathers fault.
not like not banning the microwave helmets is a bad idea either.
