New information released about the Anzio OVA. If anyone could translate it that'd be great.
Well, time to get to work.
>OVA will be in stores this spring
>On July 5th, 12 theaters around Tokyo (including Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro) will host a special screening of the OVA
>Live streaming of OVA announcement from Feb. 8th, 17:00 Japanese Standard Time at Bandai Channel and Ibakira TV
Will hippo team mention this battle?
Something doesn't work out.
OVA release is in spring while the screening are in July.
GuP is finished.
Why is that only Anchovy who wear pants as her battle uniform?
because she is a boy.
Thos aren't even pants.
Makes her awesome looking.
>Thos aren't even pants.
Are we watching the same show?
I want to kick her butt.
Ah. In OPs imagem, they don't look like pants but rather, thigh-highs.
OP's image has her in the "civilian" school uniform, where she wears a pantyhose.
Italy tenk strung.
I wish they wouldn't show the Anzio battle.
The next time without Italy joke was just too good!
>Girls und Panzer ended a whole year ago (almost)
>We'll finally have a non-shit thread for the first time in a year when the OVA hits
Italian tears soon
So if the Fascist Italian Army wasn't the best, how did their navy and air force stack up?
The navy actually managed to hold their own against the Royal Navy and did crazy frogman shit all over the Mediterranean (specifically against Gibraltar). Can't remember a single thing about the air force.
Was one of the best at the start of the war and gave the British a run for their money at the start.
Forced into port by the British by '42, a non-factor for the rest of the war.
Actually not that bad, especially once they put things like pic-related into the field. Too small of a force though, far too small.
>three 20mm cannons
You mean the Italians actually made a fighter with more than just a pair of .50s?! Freakin' unbelievable! How long before the Murricans make cannons standard fare for their fighters?
Who will be Anchovy's seiyuu?
Their Navy got crippled early on during the Battle of Taranto and unlike the USA they didn't have nowhere the industrial capacity to recuperate from these losses.
Their Air Force was quite effective, but it suffered a lot from outdated planes and Italy not being able to produce their newer, far more competitive designs in relevant numbers.
Taeko's VA, Maya Yoshioka
WW2 era aircraft 20mm+ cannons were not that great for dogfights.
Americans never had to deal with big 4 engined bombers.
Cape and miniskirt. Good... I thought we're reaching new heights on proper tank attire.
Yes. To Darjeeling.
Italy tenk doctrine strung. Their tanks themselves were not all that worse than their English contemporarys.
>inb4 CV-33, please see Mark VII
The cape protects her from shrapnel.
Wait, it premiers in cinemas? In July?
Eight .50s do actually put more weight of hot lead per second than two not-so-fast-firing 20mms (we're talking about 300 rpm only). As >>101686872 said, the cannons thing is more a matter of knock-out punch against large planes.
Also, asides from battles, their Navy managed to sucessfully ferry an astounding percentage of what it was tasked to do, as compared with other WWII navies. And that was going against Allied air and sea superiority.
So, pasta and surrendering jokes besides, Italians were able to do quite amazing things when they actually got their mind upon doing them. Amusingly similar to what Miho says in Episode 7, if you notice.
So this is the OVA not the move right
>they didn't have nowhere the industrial capacity to recuperate from these losses
It didn't help that their industrial base was as dysfunctional as that of interwar France.
It makes sense.
>Some Ethiopians were able to approach the tanks from the rear and were then able to disable the tracks and machine guns. Their tanks rendered useless, the two-man crews were killed.
>The Ethiopians immobilized several of the Italian tanks by rolling boulders onto the road in front of them and behind them.
>Other tanks attempted to bypass the roadblock only to slip down steep roadside embankments and overturn.
>The Ethiopians set two of the tanks afire.
>the cape makes sense
Didn't the Ethiopians take down an airplane with slings and spears?
I just don't understand how a modern military loses to an African country that has no air force and not armored forces.
Well, it sure as fuck wasn't easy for the Ethiopians.
275,000 killed compared to only 10,000 Italians killed by 1936
Please, kindly read th every post you are quoting, where I actually inb4-ed that someone (you) was gonna mention the CV-33.
Those tanquettes are the "tanks" that were surrounded and taken out in close combat in the battle you quote. And they were VERY similar (including the "no rearfire" thing) to their British equivalents, the Mark VII (of which Glorianna has at least one, I must mention).
It was the Regio Esercito's tactics that sucked royally (pun intended) in letting their tanks being surrounded. Their tanks were just a little behind British ones. In fact, the CV-33 was a better tanquette than the Mark VII...
Is what this comic explaining true? I just can't wrap my head around it.
Holy shit, was the Green Beret on the French side or what?
First of all, Ethiopia wasn't a just a dirt poor bunch of colonized tribes like any other African country back then, it was an actual sovereign state. Also, the rough terrain was a major advantage for the Ethiopians and they had massive support among the populace. But eventually, clever tricks and guerilla tactics weren't enough to force the well-equipped and trained Italians out of the country and Ethiopia still lost the war with a horrible amount of casualties.
By understimating them. Same as the Britongs got waxed by fucking teenagers in >>101678008.
Same as the Yanks got wawed by Rommel in their first battle. Same as the Germans were waxed by the US Army in their second battle.
It's ALWAYS the same story.
>of which Glorianna has at least one
Are you not confusing the "Mark VI" Crusader?
Or was it mentioned in other material, like Earl Grey's Cromwell?
No, it was specifically mentioned, by name, in episode 12. "We should try that ourselves next time - with our Mark VII"
Teenagers? I thought Bir el Gubi was held by their best units
She says Mark VI, which is the Crusader.
If that's true, I stand corrected.
ah yes, the Crusader
Most of it was. A few places of the line were hold by the Fascist Youths, green biys in their first battle. Long history short, the British sent battle-hardened veterans against them thinking they would just surrender as Italian infantry used to do, they actually made their attack obvious with that intention (against the advice of other British units that had taken part in the battle and knew those particular Italians weren't exactly intent on surrendering), the pasta boys ended that day as battle-hardened veterans themselves.
Also same as Italians understimated the Spanish Repuclican militias in Guadalajara (where they branded themselves as "Victors of Abisinia (Ethyopy) and were then handled a nice serving of humility pie), folowing which BOTH sides of teh Spanish Civil War sung a song that went "Guadalajara isn't Abisinia, because here the Reds fire real bombs..."
...and followed "Less cañones (cannons) and more cojones"
"Porca misseria. Il mockery sei in stereo"
>Is what this comic explaining true?
It is. Just imagine a stationary tank for a second:
Let's say, there's 20 track segments that are touching the ground right now. If the tank starts moving now, one segment touching the ground moves up in the back, while one new segment touches the ground in the front - it's always 20 segments at any given time. And while these 20 segments move relatively to the tank, they don't move relatively to the ground - for the observer, they're non-moving. They always touch the same piece of soil.
Now for the segments which aren't touching the ground: If the tank moves one meter forward, then each track segment that isn't fixed on the ground also moves one meter because the track moves around the wheels - and another meter because the tank itself moves relatively to the ground!
It's difficult to explain, but basically you have to remember that the movement of the track isn't measured relatively to the tank but to the ground beneath it.
Shut up and get on the bed.
Ah, so the issue is relative speeds and the observed speed of the track links is dependent on the point of view of the observer.
Once you think of it that way it's not so bad.
I was going to try and draw a diagram of this, but couldn't understand and just drew this instead.
Only a couple more hours to the ova announcement special. Hopefully more details on when the disc will be available.
Shit, wrong image. I didn't draw that.
I meant to post this.
>changes km/h to mp/h
>inb4 they make fun of her again
I want a season 2. They can make if they want to. Fast forward to senior year, introduce a new 1st year MC and make it so Miho will become her mentor. I would like it. Hell, I may even buy it.
As much as I'm reticent to agree with our resident anti-american troll, this time he's most likely right.
I don't even know what's the deal is with the tracks.
It's like some of you guys have never seen a tank or excavator in real life.
What kind of conflict should there be? They can't just recycle the plot from the first season.
In season 2 are two carriers in danger!
They can explore a sister dynamic, in which she tries not to be like her mother or her sister (which are both shit) and sometime fail.
Second Camping Trip OVA when?
double the carriers! double the excitement!
we all know that it'll be this behemoth flying in the German U21 national team led by Emi
I think that's the case
>can't just recycle the plot
You must be new
captcha reappearance typych
Erika, pleaase. Stop posting as Momo
How much does it cost to keep the entire population and buildings from crashing into terra firma?
I just would love that the twin-tails from Little Army appeared in either the OVA or the possible season 2.
Will there been elegance?
There'll be DOUBLE ELEGANCE
I imagine they'll take the opportunity to show all characters.
How many time Darjeeling raped her, I wonder.
it's not rape of you want it
She doesn't seem to want it.
Depends on what you mean by rape
It's German engineering, I ain’t gotta explain shit
I want Anzio to play a bit dirty, just to see those 3 here in action
>tfw when no yuri doujin of them
Why even continue living?
to create one yourself
But I suck at drawing.
Tanks are scary
>tanks care scary
What does that have to do with pic?
Is drawing hard?
Good ones are.
exactly the same reason Middle eastern paramilitaries are able to fight the powerfull army in the world; they got advanced weapons from Westerners in a previous war.
Tanks aren't scary, tanks are adorable
So real life Battle of Endor?
wouldnt a driller hair like that be inconvenient inside a tank
she just acts that bay to seem more lady like
>tfw I'll probably never get to see the Bovington Tank Museum
As well as long hair in general. Girls like Akebi, Assam or Saemonza would live quite dangerous, considering there were open acessible moving parts in many old tanks.
this will be a slow dump
I'm lucky to live relatively close to the Munster museum, but it'd be really nice to see tanks in motion.
It was posted fully in /u/, you can look it up at Foolz
i don't even know why i'm dumping this
Because it's good? Carry on, gentle Anon.
The fuck are they doing in the very middle panel?
I'm lurking here anon, go on.
ah i grabbed it off sadpanda
Drawing on the photo, I think.
I think they are setting up the booth booth or something like that
it was translated and typeset in a G/u/P thread (I can't resist calling that an /uk/ thread because British, that's why)
we are getting LEWD now
Oh god, my heart.
That next-to-last panel should be censored!
half way i think
Oh wow that have threds /uk/
Who would draw this sick filth
>On the first date
THESE ARE NOT THE PURE GIRLS I THOUGHT I KNEW
wat are you talking about, girls love and their pshysical expressions are the most pure things inn the world
Ok on the last few pages i'm getting "Detected possible malicious code in image file." let me try a different browser
You can find it in the current GuP thread at /u/, too
Even North Korean tanks, anon-kun?
so cute! loved by all!
Would you risk it?
Do I get to write a will beforehand?
Is that gelatin and raw fish?
>I'll never experience this
What's the point in going on?
I think they're jellied eels
No, that would be Vietnam.
The Vietnamese had RPGs, Fighter Jets, armor, etc.
For about 6 months. After that, it was pretty much hobos versus the US army.
>For about 6 months
Yes, I forgot the US had completely destroyed the NVA and had in fact won the war
Tanks are pretty vulnerable in close quarter combat, just ask the Finns.
There's also Miho, anon.
The fuck tank is that supposed to be?
Off topic aside, the Viet Kong existed in name only and the NVA was in shambles when N. Vietnam signed the Paris Peace Accords.
NO, MEDIA TOLD ME AMERICA WAS GETTING IT'S ASS KICKED, THAT'S WHY WE PULLED OUT OF VIETNAM
NORTH VIETNAM IS BEST VIETNAM
Eh, I guess I can see it.
They were still using the Pz.I up into '41?
So why aren't wheeled vehicles allowed?
It'd add a whole new dimension to Sensha-do that would make it more fun
No one said they aren't. It's just that most wheeled vehicles were open top.
Can't wait for Ravioli OVA.
Who is best Non-Captain Enemy-Commander
Oh, um er....
How about you read Little Sister first before saying shit about Maho you faggot.
I mean Little Army.
A loader is not a commander.
Not him. I read everything. She is still shit. That maid is also kinda stupid but not as nearly as shitty as Maho.
They still played a minor role during Barbarossa, but after 41 most of them were decommissioned. I think a few were used for anti-partisan duty which might be why it's featured on that guide.
Arisa a cute
>Sacrifice her own happiness so that her sister will be free from family customs
Ah, that makes sense. That's also a role they're probably best suited for.
>Let her own sister be mauled verbally by her mother to the near point of mind break
>Don't do anything to try and help
Same as the germans got smashed month after month from morocco to berlin by patton and friends.
Yes. Only as recon, but they saw some use as late as motherfucking Normandy.
This. In fact, I can only name a few gun-armed (over 20mm) weeled cars that weren't open-toped. The Puma (inb4 "it wasn't really named Puma") for the Germans, the BA-6 & BA-10 for he Russians, the Humber IV, Daimler & AEC for the British, the Staghound for the Americans (inb4 "they didn't use it but gave them all to the Brits"), the Fiat 611B for the Italians, the Panhard 178 / AMD 35 for the French (marginally, 25mm gun), the wz29 Ursus & wz 34-II for he Polish, and the M36, M38 & M39 for the Dutch. It's difficult to make games interesting when you have a grand total of 14 vehicles to choose from, and one of them (the AEC MKII, with a 6-pounder and more armor than some tanks) outclasses the rerst of them all so much that it isn't even funny.
I'd say your subconscient betrayed you, you siscon pervert
>smashing anything other than his own soldiers
Foe and friend alike acknowledged that Patton was like a Roman general of Rome's most glorious age when the Legionaries won battles despite, not thanks to, their generals
By that point, "understimating" was no longer a factor
>Wearing the facade of the perfect heir of the style while actively encouraging her sister to search for her own style outside of the family
>Not doing anything
>not the entire reason britain and germany aren't new russia
Patton is also the only reason we managed to kill german armor, because he adapted pershing's cavalry tactics to armored warfare, seeing as the sherman was a soft enough target, and also he had the foresight to know that our supply system was superior in every way to the german's and russian's, meaning that we could win faster and with less casualties if we keep the offensive and spread the german's resources thin, not letting them dig in to the bank of the rhine, capturing german cole mines and railroad stations to use along the way to propel the offensive.
His troops even passed themselves off as first army personnel and secured thousands of gallons of gasoline from a drop that wasn't intended for them just to continue the assault that much further.
The casualty reports were incredible.
>Did everything her mother would do gleefully
>Talked shit of her own sister in the front of her friends as if it was second nature
>Talked shit of her own sister
Aaaaaaand with this you lost.
>not the entire reason britain and germany aren't new russia
Exactly. He is not.
(rest of post)
>Denying the truth this desperately
If it wasn't patton, it would have been montgomery, and at the very least monty needed several moths to prepare for an advance, which would've inferred many more casualties by givibg the germans crucial time to set up defensive positions and perhaps even advance back into saarburg.
This also would mean for britain to hand germany over to the russians much sooner.
Because ground pressure and tires.
RULES OF NATURE.
Naomi, no question.
She's also in the best tank.
>expect P26/40 and machinegun tankettes
>these show up instead
About 40 years too new to be senshado legal.
Goddamn, look all that liberty!
the one from the manga
TYPE-ONE-OH ON WHEELS
Is that a .30 cal on the pintle?
Goddamn, at least make it a .50, AT LEAST...
Momo's older Italian sister looks like she's having fun.
God, you sexy beak-faced mothefucker you...
>Hair down Darjeeling
My life is complete!
The Italians, Chinese and French all suffered from this, in that they did have well-trained units (The Alpini, Chiang's own wehrmacht-trained army, Somua S35), but they were too few and far between compared to everyone else that it hardly mattered. In subsaharan and East Africa and the Italians performed pretty well for how badly outgunned and outmanned they were.
Hmm. Not as glorious.
5 or 6 hours until the OVA proper announcement thing. We might get a PV.
Those foreheads are formidable.
I suddenly came to the realization that I'll never be a British High School Girl enjoying tea and operating tanks. This mortal coil is disgusting and useless.
I hope they confirm if it is going to be 40 mins long.
It's a mock up M2.
IS-3's look amazing as long as you ignore the cracked welds and design flaws, but the West didnt know and the Soviets knew the West didnt know.
Also, that IS-3 is commanded by...well, I guess she would be Soviet Saber.
>tfw going to bed
>tfw I know this thread probably won't survive to when I wake
Well... It was nice while it lasted guys...
Pretty sure a 20mm shell's tendency to freakin' EXPLODE offsets its lack of volume.
>retconing anchovy to be a bimbo wearing a skirt no smaller than a belt.
the point is that the low rate of fire makes it much harder to hit a fighter when you only have very small windows of opportunity
Depends on which 20mm, they're a lot of different rounds in that calibre. Ooerlikon, Hispano, etc.
The shorter ones had low velocities which didn't help their lower rate of fire.
The Italians have any good TDs?
> Il Duce not wearing fascist uniform
WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT!?
from what i understand their TDs were alot better than their actual tanks, but mostly because they doubled as artillery
Which tankmaiden is best maid?
You saying she's a Fagot?
