New update. Let's get this shit started.
I can't watch that many Japan
>Blade and Soul
What a joke this is going to be fucking horrendous.
Is this my GJ BU dose for Spring?
Really looking forward to Sidonia and Haikyuu the most, Looks like another great season.
What the fuck happened to all the light-hearted SoL series? Kiniro Mosaic was the last one that aired that was any good.
There are like a metric fuckton of light-hearted SoL series on that chart.
Perhaps that's not a specific enough label.
What I mean are shows that have a complete focus on a feel-good vibe, featuring cuteness, comedy and absolutely NEVER a male protagonist. Male characters are acceptable but never as a focus for a shitty harem setup.
Examples of what is shit:
Using that information, name me one show this season or next season that is like the aforementioned decent SoL shows.
>mahouka koukou no rettousei
Probably gunna be shit but I read the manga and it seemed passable.
I suckle on the penis that is BONES so I'll give it a go.
>hitsugi no chaika
Need me my fluffy shows.
yurifag please go

Oh, it's fucking nothing.

At least some anon gonna enjoy Blade and Soul/Sengoku Musou
>Meguka film 3
>Every else is shit
I'm not into Yuri. I just hate pathetic waste of life self-insert male characters. I watch these shows for cute girls doing cute things in cute ways, ala Kiniro Mosiac. Why the fuck would I want to watch some faggish idiot take up screen time like in Acchi Kocchi or GJ-BU?
Potemayo is an exception because he's not the focus for a shallow harem show.
Harem shows are almost always shit.
There are two JC staff originals this season, actually.
Fucking hyped. This pushes most of my happy buttons.
Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka, Love Live, Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san and Sadon Desu fit that mold.
It doesn't look bad but the title seems like they just thrown random words together, I like the designs.
>Not watching a Bones Original.
>Dropping GJ Bu.
2. Love Live
Source: I happen to be a time traveler.
What's the point? You can never tell what will be good or not from just the descriptions and pictures.
It's time to judge based on artstyle..it's what gives off the most information:
Iconic Comedy Classic
Little Durara/Persona esque, pretty generic
rips off the unique One Piece artstyle
Unique Tatami Galaxy/Mindgame artstyle
Little unique like Mekaku, but mostly generic
>Date a Live
Little unique, but most generic
Generic Sengoku style
>No Game no Life
More qnique style resembling older works and certain type of manga
More serious sci-fi, half generic
>Akuma No Riddle
More realistic style, half generic
>Soul Eater Not
Generic (wtf is this really Soul Eater)
Generic, altough the bishoujo ain't 100% generic
Iconic seinen show
more serious sci-fi, half generic
Realistic style, half generic
Not feneric mvoie/OVA's
Harmonie, Kura no Sumika, Parol, Wild adapter
Tell me /a/, why is most Anime so generic?
I guess I'll just work on my backlog next season.
This makes me wonder if they'll just throw in the movie scenes completely with the great shadowing and animation, and add in the couple scenes where Rygart is dealing with his PTSD.
Either way, I can't wait for the threads where people call this super great animation and other studios should learn from them.
Because you are the ADTRW type of anime watcher.
>it's what gives off the most information:
No it doesn't.
Yay! New Yu-Gi-Oh!
>Ryota Murakami cannot forget his female childhood friend
>Kagerou Project revolves around a group of who wield unusual eye related powers
>Transfer into highschool
>Tatsuya is a honor student without magic capability at First HighSchool, along with his sister that happens to be top student among the freshmen
>a boy who is living now alone thanks to his parents jobs' transfer..apartment filled with perverts..a senpai he adores also happens to live there
>a prestigious school in the metropolitan area. Not only does he meet beautiful girls in his busy school life, he even goes as far as living with them under the same roof!
Haremshit is still trash
>Date a SHIT
>She actually all but lives in that cafe. She meets lots of different girls there, including a tiny and cool girl named Chino, a tough and soldier-esque girl named Lize, a spacey and quintessentially Japanese girl named Chiyo, and the ordinary but dignified Sharo.
SoL shit is shit
>He has seen this rainbow before. With the memories of his father's mysterious death and an encounter of a MYSTERIOUS BOY AND GIRL
>The story of No Game, No Life centers around Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET hikikomori. One day, they are summoned by a boy named "God" to an alternate world.
>The story revolves around Nekoyama Suzu, a timid, shy tsundere girl loves dogs, and Inugami Yachiyo, a super masochistic, air-headed, friendly girl who loves cats. One day, after a fateful meeting,
Yet again - trash.
I need mangafags' backup for Soul Eater Not, since I'm going with pure conjecture and a few pages I've seen floating around.
It's mecha, and GJ-bu felt absolutely vacuous, for want of a better word.
Pictures tell us more than a thousand words anon.
So you always hate all shows with a 'generic artstyle'?
Mekaku takes place in some weird anti-anime universe where the MC is the only one who doesn't get a love interest, every other male character gets one.
Well, I mean, he technically did but she killed herself 2 years before the story.
I won't watch it unless its uber-amazing
Any confirmation on what shows are 2 cour yet?
You'd think his sister would at least be into him but she pursues the /ss/ route.
Pretty much every single anime ever made has a generic artstyle, anon.
Seems like kind of a weird primary criteria for a show that it needs an out-there art style, but okay.
>Mushishi 2nd season
>Soul Eater spinoff
>Blade and Soul????
WTF Japan????? This is almost guaranteed to fail.
my criteria for non-generic ain't that high.
look at my post again
>Slutty girls killing things with a plot line that no on cares about.
Why will it fail again? It's almost just like Monogatari, it'll make boat loads of money.
/ss/ anime soon.
When will this shit die?
Get a load of this guy.
Sidonia no Kishi
Soul Eater Not!
Gokukoku no Brynhildr

Expecting to drop about 5-6
I don't like idol shows (or idol culture in general) and Usagi-san seems like the type of overly cutesy show I don't like. Basically if all the girls act like abused children who are too scared to raise their voice above a whisper, I don't like it.
Inugami-san and Sadon Desu look pretty promising though.
Any chance there's something this season that I've overlooked? I literally have nothing for my SoL fix and the closest I have gotten are D-frag, which is harem shit and Zvesda.
I'd watch Gin no Saji, but I've already read the manga. There's also Seitokai, but it's just the same joke repeated ad nauseum.
I'm only interested in JoJo since nothing else seems to interest me except for I guess the ping-pong one.
Please remember all the times in other seasons when you were actually wrong about a show being good or bad based on just the description.
FUCK YES ALL THOSE YEARS WAITING.
Mikakunin? Seems like the obvious choice. Inari Kon Kon is also nice and has delicious but it has male characters so it might give you an aneurysm
>penises ruin muh SoL
Gonna be watching
And everything mecha or magical girl related
Not much there that's really interesting.
I betted on Yuyushiki being a surprise, as well as Mushibugyo being actually decent. It seems my predictions were right, although I watched neither.
When Konami stops making cards for the tcg & ocg, which will probably not happen for a while.
*delicious Kyoto accent
Those for sure, others are subject to /a/'s hype.
>Selector Infected WIXOSS
It's Black Rock Shooter mk.2, isn't it? Picked up.
It's actually coming out? I've seen it announced for a long time.
>Inugami-san to Nekogaya-san
This makes Sakura Trick look tame.
>Akuma no Riddle
Senran Kagura except edgier and gayer. I'm in.
>Love Live S2
Can't wait for more Nico.
>Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?
This was with Kiniro Mosaic and Yuyushiki in the Hidamari Sketch xHoneycomb ads. That's a seal of quality, right there.
Will give Soul Eater Not, Futsu no Joshikousei and Magica Wars three episodes.
Or it can tell just seven.
>haven't watched an anime i've enjoyed since psychopass
>can;t get excited for the new season
just die in my sleep already
Check Sonico, Tonari no Seki-kun and Sakura Trick.
I HAVE WAITED ALMOST 10 YEARS FOR MUSHISHI HOLY SHIT I AM SO GLAD I AM STILL ALIVE TO SEE THIS DAY.
>it has male characters
So does Mikakunin. Bad choice.
From what I read of the synopsis of that show, it was the typical "engaged to random girl without consent" anime. Not something I especially care for.
I'm actually downloading Inari Kon Kon now to see.
I don't have anything against male characters in SoL, as long as they aren't pathetic self-inserts that the girls drool over. Minami-ke actually has lots of male characters, as does Today in Class 5-2 (OVA, not the atrocious TV series) and Minami-ke is almost my favourite SoL series of all time, along with Aria, which also has a lot of male characters.
I should also add that I really like Natsume Yuujinchou, which has a male protagonist (though is shoujo).
Honestly, I find it kind of difficult to explain exactly what type of shows I like other than simply listing them, along with stuff I dislike and trying to spot similarities.
>everyone hypes show for months
>it airs, it's shit, everyone drops after first episode and tries to forget about it
Great times, every time
Sidonia is one or two cour?
I WALKED TEN THOUSAND MILES, TEN THOUSAND MILES TO SEE YOU
>it was the typical "engaged to random girl without consent" anime
It's that except also they're furries.
Mikakunin's male character may as well not be there, honestly. He gets like 2 lines an episode at most and he's also not a helpless faggot. People were afraid when they saw a guy in the previews but no one actually bitches about him.
You can never tell what will be good at this point, but you can weed out genres and sequels you don't like and usually the absolute dogshit shows.
Remember when we thought that about Mahou Sensou and Pupa?
So he gets even less screentime than in episode 1?
>Today in Class 5-2 (OVA, not the atrocious TV series)
This seems interesting. What's wrong with the TV series? Also, I second >>101677212 on Tonari no Seki-kun. Fucking amazing show.
Mahou Sensou was hyped? And the mangafags were warning us about Pupa near the beginning.
I circled the good ones
Useless male protagonists and moe: the season
What the fuck are you doing
Lot of them looks good.
>What's wrong with the TV series?
I'm honestly not sure. I just remember that it was fucking horrible and basically ruined everything about the OVA series, which is hilariously funny and even better if you're into pubescent females.
I actually read the Seki-kun manga, but for some reason I can never be bothered to download such short shows, and streaming is just, ugh...
I cut out the ones I just plain won't be watching.
Red = Watching but fully expect to drop
Orange = Could go either way
Green = Hyped because of source material and/or staff. Something would have to go horribly astray to ruin this.
Ah, I see what you did there. You CIRCLED the good ones, but not a single series is marked with a CIRCLE.
But you did indicate the shit series with a SQUARE.
Those are rectangles you weiner wizard.
>2. Love Live
>Source: I happen to be a time traveler.
actually someone incredibly plausible
>explaining the joke
Green: Will likely watch the entire series even if it's bad
Yellow: 3 episode rule
Unmarked: Probably never gonna watch it, unless it somehow is good
>Kanojo ga Flag
>Hatate Souta, a young man
Nice try, but I can see through this choice of words
I don't even need to read the rest of the premise to throw it in the trash can it belongs.
So you hate every anime with a highschool boy?
>Mahouka or Black Bullet
>>Slutty girls killing things with a plot line that no on cares about.
>Why will it fail again? It's almost just like Monogatari, it'll make boat loads of money.
>>boat loads of money.
they be REALLY lucky enough if they could get similar high sales as Vandred or Strike Witches
43 series. With more most likely getting announced soon. Anime sure is dying guys.
i am so fucking tired of season after season of the same formulaic moe/harem/highschool/neets with godhood thrust upon them bullshit that gets the a-ok from producers. i'm not even asking for another evangelion or a 3deep5u deconstruction but anime where there is even some REMOTE degree of variation in the plot not the characters' hair color.
can you feel it? it's the season of selfinsert. an anime about two neets who actually work and come to terms with their potential to escape neetdom would be pretty interesting to watch, but nah instead they get DEUS EX FUCKING MACHINA'D by K-K-KAMISAMA into video game land where they're suddenly gods.
fuck, man. these days my eyes just glaze over any anime that boils down to "boys n grils doing things in high school best girl mite win mite not" or "this kids is chosen for to magical power girls squad" or "uhhhhh im a neet and why is this 10/10 angeldemon woman suddenly after me no sex actually happens???"
don't get me wrong... i love anime with a passion. i really do. it's just fucking depressing to see my favourite medium being fucked in the ass by japanese otaku and their shit tastes. i feel like the heroin addict whose dealer suddenly started slipping him shitty smack and he has no choice but to use because withdrawals would kill him.
miyazaki was right, guys
I don't think you know what a young man is, Amerifag.
Never seen worse taste in a long time.
Go watch old shitty anime from the 60s then. So super original.
I am watching everything because I am not a disgusting casual.
Only those with them as MCs.
Here, I fixed it for you.
Go RSS Seki-kun or something. I feel that it's very faithful to the manga. I'll probably give Today in Class 5-2 a miss.
No, you just have no taste.
Being discerning =/= being casual, you faggot.
>>not watchin Ping Pong
Most of this thread is retarded spouting of things we already know. You don't need to write a paragraph about what you aren't going to watch.
Wait, what the fuck? This isn't copypasta? It's fresh? Nice.
Only difference between then and now is that those anime are old.
WILL I BE ABLE TO DIFFERENCE MECHS FOR ONCE
THANK PHONY GOD
>an anime about two neets who actually work and come to terms with their potential to escape neetdom would be pretty interesting to watch
Boy, do I have news for you. I mean, it's no NHK, but it sure as hell doesn't glorify NEETlyfe.
Watching everything that is airing =/= having no taste
Are action/adventure-y anime that don't have some blatant "boy meets girl with quirk" gimmick dead?
Are you stupid? Same answer.
It does if you don't drop any of it.
60s anime is shit, agreed, but the industry has grown. shouldn't the quality grow as well? or has anime crossed the same post-90s hump the music industry did? is it all downhill from here?
jesus fuckin christ, man, it is NOT hard to come up with original plotlines. it is NOT AT ALL hard to break genre conventions.
>f-fuck off, ok!!
you are the cancer killing anime and you know it. how much cheeto dust did you have to dust off your keyboard before even writing that two word epik comeback? fucking christ, lol
Yeah, if you think SAO was AotS. It's the same vein of garbage pandering, except it somehow manages to be even worse. The protagonist is one of the most blatant Mary Sues I've ever seen, even more than Izayoi from Mondaiji, and he isn't even played for laughs.
Fucking saved. This is amazing pasta.
Wow, Anon, ice-fucking-burn.
Nobody cares about your whines. Just stop watching anime. And learn how to type like an adult.
thanks man, i'm flattered. just wanted to vent some frustration
>I'll probably give Today in Class 5-2 a miss.
Watch this and see what you think
>learn how to type like an adult
>using "whine" as a noun
i am not going to get into a shitslinging match with a borderline autistic ESL. fuck off
I have no idea what it's about outside the summary, I just like the idea of the world/setting.
A good example of this is toaru majutsu, even though the anime itself is sub par, the world/setting is fucking fantastic.
whine (hwīn, wīn)
1. The act of whining.
2. A whining sound.
3. A complaint uttered in a plaintive tone.
>a-ano... pls look my dictionary anon-kun
I have a friend who once claimed he loved anime. Over the years, he consistently found the anime shows superior to what he found on television. He started to find more and more anime, and in doing so, he told me that he discovered something. He liked all of the anime he’d seen at first because these were the shows that were successful and well made, the ones with the quality or broad appeal to the jump across cultures. He found that he didn’t like anime — he only liked good anime. Sure, the medium had something important to do with it, but his enjoyment came more from the quality of his sample than the entire medium.
i'm leaning the same way, man. i just wish there'd be more such shows or at least a prominent indie anime scene to keep me from losing interest. god knows where else i'd find my escapism
Instead of complaining constantly about the state of the industry you should be grateful that there are indeed still good anime coming out every year and work on your backlogs or something.
He could also work on his grammar and spelling.
>no KyoAni show
that's what we're doing, but there's nothing wrong with hoping for another renaissance
>grammar and spelling
i dare you to point out a single spelling/grammar error in any of my posts, faggot
fuck off to myanimelist with your avatar forum b-but you must capitalize your sentences properly!! bullshit
>>no KyoAni show
they're working on that Tamako Market movie
Well, that was actually pretty nice. Is it a short anime? How bad is the TV series in comparison? Depending on your answer I might backlog it.
>there are indeed still good anime coming out every year
I hope the Sidonia adaptation won't be total shit.
No, it's a bunch of OVAs, if I recall.
Bad. Don't even try.
>korean mmorpg adaptation
There are. You get more and more anime each year (discounting the drop after 2007), and plenty of them are good. Even if they sound shit from the synopsis, many are executed well and are entertaining as a result. That's the single qualifier for a "good anime".
besides atelier, nothing looks interesting
You're talking to a guy who posted a Western cartoon for a reaction image.
>Blade and soul
Why is this allowed?
Good enough. If it was less than 10 minutes I would have put it on this list.
Hollywood, American cartoons etc. There's so much indie crap in those.
Anime has always been for otaku. You're not a true anime fan, you might as well stop now.
A well executed shit synopsis is only wasted potential, and still a shit series.
Look at Kanojo ga Flag. It could be the best execution of anything ever. It will still be shit.
that list is missing pupa
There are an awful lot of LN adaptations that have good staff attached to them.
>besides atelier, nothing looks interesting
>nothing looks interesting
>i dare you to point out a single spelling/grammar error in any of my posts
You started that sentence with one.
>music projects topping the list by far
No surprise here. Worst fanbases at that.
>choice of reaction images impacts quality of argument
There was never any renaissance of anime. You're just thinking of the best shows over several decades and comparing the level of quality to one quarter of a year.
>you are the cancer killing anime. how much cheeto dust did you have to dust off your keyboard before even writing that two word epik comeback? fucking christ, lol
I'm sorry, but anyone who talks like this is an idiot. What is wrong with you, exactly? Are you 12? Are you new?
>you're not a TRUE anime fan if you don't lick up the shit being served by studios and ask for seconds
>you're not a TRUE music fan if you don't listen to lil wayne and lady gaga
>you're not a TRUE cinema fan if you don't watch michael bay's transformers and buy the merchandise
there is nothing prohibiting otaku from having good taste
>conversational lowercase a grammatical error
just fuck right off to tumblr lol. even leddit won't have you.
I generally try not to put shows that are so bad it leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of those who watch it. I guess you could watch it "ironically", but someone relying on that list is not going to look at it that way.
What else do you got?
Kiniro no Corda and Kamigami no Asobi.
>Haikyuu! and Black Bullet
Where's Shokugeki you dicks
Someone post that screencap from the late 90's. Yes, that one.
No, it gives insight into the type of person the poster is.
Obviously one that is around Western cartoons. The type that complain that anime doesn't cater to the Western audience.
Jesus christ, where the fuck did you come from? Just get out.
Damn, you're right. I was just messing with the other guy but there's literally no way it'll do good with a Gonzo budget.
>internet slang on internet site
http://www.reddit.com/ is waiting for you with open arms
>>conversational lowercase a grammatical error
It is on /a/. See how most everybody in this thread is capitalizing their sentences? You look like a fucking idiot. What's next from you, emoticons?
r u srs
Why should anime cater to your specific wants and disregard everyone else's?
How new are you?
Not him, but you otaku folk have got to be fucked in the head to foster that degree of conformity while being social rejects yourselves.
Nobody's "otaku" here in the west you fucking retard.
If he wasn't new, he wouldn't be bitching about the amount of crap today. Of course, the passage of time does a good job eroding away the shitty series. How does someone not get this extremely simple point? In 2030 the inheritors of /a/ will probably say the same thing about 2014 being imaginative and original. Just look at the old seasonal charts. Frogs stuck in wells, the lot of them.
It's been like this since the website began. What the fuck are you complaining about?
If you don't like it, you a very much free to leave.
What happened to that Sailor Moon season that was supposed to happen?
>Hey mom, look, I'm trolling /a/!
We fell for it.
Because my tastes are objectively better than yours, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to prove me wrong. You may groan, you may scramble at your keyboard to produce some half-assed comeback that will inevitably include the word "newfag" but as you cry yourself to sleep clutching your Kirino dakimakura you will know that tomorrow and forever, Anon will have better taste than you.
Nice. I just finished this the other day.
>If I capitalize my sentence, no one will know it's me.
Do you expect all 40+ shows to be good and new? As long as we get several watchable shows and 1-3 somewhat original it's okay.
Now I've seen everything.
>Blade & Soul anime adaption
Holy shit, are you serious?
Bunch of shit and one or two good shows.
I'll take this as satire and go fap now.
Why won't it just die?
Mekaku City Actors will be the top selling anime of this year.
This season? Yes. This year? There's also Fate/SN, Kantai Collection and Gundam Origins to contend with.
I'm well aware of the line-up for this year.
Is it this year though?
I usually pick something else up in the middle of a season.
>The only interesting series is 3DCG
Read the manga then, /v/.
AND EVERY GASP OF BREATH I GRABBED IT JUST TO FIND YOU,
AND EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY, I PAY
oh god I'm still laughing
So only Captain Earth, Mangaka, knights of sidonia, black bullet, and break blade for me
I'm going for safe bets with Jojo and Mushishi, but there are other 10 shows or so i'm going to try or that interest me - just i'm not already 110% sure i'll carry them on to the end, like the 2 aforementioned.
>no lolicon series
So the same as this season in that regards, unless NGNL surprises me and it won't cut out all loli service.
>new Elfen Lied-tier shitfest
>new Bones mecha
>new Gonzo shitfest
>new YATP shorts
>new Elfen Lied-tier shitfest
Which one is that?
Br-something in the Darkness.
>it's 2014 that 10 years ago that Mai HiME ending almost destroyed 4chan entirely
All I want is another new mai-series Sunrise not another idol shit second season
Will pick up:
>Rabu Raibu 2
>Knights of Sidonia
>Atelier Escha & Logy
>Selector Infected Wixoss
Most of it, most likely.
Is it just me or are there rather a lot of anime this season featuring NEETs?
it isn't just you, they've just become more sensitive of their target demographic
Just a coincidence maybe.
Or they want to keep their audience inside so they don't go outside because of spring.
Haha. Sometimes I love you guys, other times I hate you. Keep on truckin', /a/
>watching yuri shows
Ha ha, what?
But needs more Mechs!
So after looking at everything multiple times I correct myself
Selector Infected Wixoss will be AOTS
>Implied people dying
>Song from the PV implies killer OST
Everything I could want and more
Stupid name though
Well nothing can be perfect, we can just strive for it
You know, I'm actually expecting Atelier Escha & Logy to do well. My reason being that the format of the game isn't like your usual JRPG. It works more like a Slice Of Life, and I don't actually think you can rush the pacing of something like that. Furthermore, the plot of Atelier games are rather light, and can be executed without much leeway.
AOTS? Not likely. I can at least hope it stays above average.
There are a lot of good shows with stupid names.
In other words no apocalypse? No despair? No frantic fights fersus fate? Dropped.
It's an Atelier game. It's about alchemy and making shit.
I won't really discredit the despair, since I'm pretty sure there are backstories to be had. But it's pretty much optimistic as far as things go.
Fights... I'm pretty sure there'll be some. But I don't know the studio well so I don't know if it'll look good.
Studio hasn't been around long or done much, after looking them up I realize I have watched every single show they have released.
They aren't bad, but they aren't great either they are just average. Shows they have worked on haven't really given them a opportunity to show their full potential being sol/school shenanigans. So who knows
Hell just froze over, didn't it? How many years has it been since they made an original IP anyway? The last one that I can remember was Utena and that was about seventeen years ago.
Other than that I hope that this show does well so JCstaff will try to do more IP's in the near future.
What happened to SnO? I thought the movie was supposed to come out this Spring?
Sorry, I just woke up.
IP is not the correct term there. WIXOSS the franchise is not owned by JC Staff.
43 new shows and only 3 original shows, and one of them is a second season.
keep recycling japan!
Where have you been the past 10 years?
complaining about the same
i'm used to it by now anyways.
Somebody has to think of the environment
kenzen robo sounds retarded enough to loop around and become entertaining.
>I only watch shows that can be considered cool and socially acceptable, am I mature yet?
Just get the fuck out.
Love Live S2
Akuma no Riddle
Inugami Nekoyama (Inuneko?)
>3 episode rule
>More info needed to decide
Good season for me.
Not listed: need more info or PVs.
As for OVAs: Will watch Mikakunin, Neptunia, Noukome, and Magi
Manga is interesting enough and it's not nearly as tryhard as Elfen Lied.
>Mekaku City Actors
Honestly, I'm not following the new and why everybody is so hyped but the concept has great potential.
Ghost Yomi's Counterattack: Purple Edition
I'll be enjoying the NTR and the possible Guilty Crown-ness
Better than Heroman, worse than Star Driver I'm betting
>Hitsugi no Chaika
Shoulder A Coffin Kuro But Future
Gamburu. The description doesn't do it justice.
Nico nico nii
>Knights of Sidonia
Tentacle waifu and long ass laser
'MERICA. More GJ fun.
>Atelier Study of the World's Death
If it at least retains the world building and atmosphere of the games, I'm happy.
>Break Blade TV
Lygart (Rygart?) PTSD and Girge being a badass. Great looking mechs.
Everything else goes by the three episode rule.
Shit OP MC, good side characters, but another magic school anime in the end. They probably won't even have good magic circle porn.
Feels good man.
>loli not winning
Well you'll certainly be busy
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou for sure
I, uh, hope you don't have a job or anything...
Did you already finish your backlog or something?
what is the Neptunia thing? an OVA?
>Anime based on Kagerou project
My backlog is endless.
we share similar tastes but
If your find GJbu like that. then
your'e a yurifag in denial
kill la kill yourself faggot
Mikakunin's by Dogakobo, not DEEN.
You need to shift Minami-kei and Kiniro Mosaic into the shit column. Ika Musume can stay but it'll only ever be a poor man's Keroro Gunsou
Do we know whether Fairy Tail is a sequel or remake?
Looks like anime is back on life support.
I haven't agreed with a post more than this all day
fuck the new JoJo fanbase, god it's going to be suffocating with them around.
It says 'continuation' so presumably a sequel
is it gonna be the fake movie, sequel or remake
Like usual, I'll watch what I already know and let /a/ make me want to try some others.
>that Mai HiME ending almost destroyed 4chan entirely
Also please say anything but Otome
spoiler texts and spamming
>ping pong the animation
Won't watch anything with a red line through it, will definitely watch everything with green, everything not strictly marked gets the 3ep rule
>another SYD OVA
The SYD train never ends.
Oh god, I didn't even know!
>Blade and Soul
Oh ok it's fake. Fuck you OP.
The childhood friend get NTR by the main guy with the loli.
you're new as fuck don't ya
Work on your english bro.
>Tell me /a/, why is most Anime so generic?
Because that's the artstyle people like
Gochuumon Usagi is a Kirara Carat title. At this point Kirara Carat must be running out of titles to be adapted, and producers are just grabbing leftovers if they don't want sequels.
>Song from the PV implies killer OST
>cheaply made industrial music
I love JC Staff, but the art on this looks painfully generic. It wouldn't hurt studios to use a different visual style from time to time.
Okay but KY QC-chan isn't on there.
>Tell me /a/, why is most Anime so generic?
They are getting painfully generic these days, and sickeningly meta.
One more fucking "flag" or multiple option anime where the MC chooses routes or something and I swear to fucking god.
also getting tired of the harems, and of the reverse harems, and of everything else that is normal in anime. Been reading manga where shit is still weird and interesting.
I am not done with some shows from fall and winter yet so I am not particularly exited by any of these and all of them are under the 3-episode rule
Jesus fucking christ why are people like you on /a/ at all, when your taste is so shitty and your mind so dismissive and closed?
Where do you faggots even come from (besides /v/ and /co/)? Seriously, imagine a pile of dog shit. Think about it in vivid detail. It's all fresh, some of it crumbly and off-color, glistening and leaking juices in the sun. You can see that some of the turds have tapeworm pieces in them, others have pinworms in them, still squirming a bit. Stick out your tongue as far as you can, and dive your face into the pile and inhale. That is your taste if you think this is going to be a bad season and there's nothing to see besides one or two shows.
I don't believe you.
Greatest love story ever told.
How can you guys even decide from these charts? With a few exceptions, I can't even begin to guess what'll be good.
I'll probably just end up watching ~20 shows.
Update from last thread:
>Akuma no Riddle
>Mekaku City Actors
If the threads are good:
Haven't seen the prequels:
Currently, Outbreak Company and Love Live season one are the only things left on my backlog from 2013.
Dude if you have something against meta then stop watching fucking anime.
Pretty much the most academically interesting thing about anime is that it's meta at its core. If you spent time doing more than just jacking off to whatever shows you deem "original" enough you'd realize this.
Isn't DAL that show I rightfully dropped with the advent of that shitty "haughty loli" character?
Did it get better?
I'm trying something different here, but I think it's a bit better at conveying info. This isn't grading shows, but listing my relative interest (pre-watching) per series via numbers.
>1 = just barely interested, pre-qued to ride the Drop Zone
>10 = hyped
>2-9 (obv.) in-between the the range
>unmarked are 0s; won't try unless I hear good things
I didn't like Break Blade and it's probably not going to have that glorious Kokia opening. Blade & Soul is going to be a joke.
Don't worry DAL is really not lolicon, if that's your problem.
I don't care about lolicon, I am not going to watch a show with that fucking character in it for any notable amount of time.
I am eager to see how they will handle the twins. I just hope they don't give too much screen time to the wrong characters this season.
Yes, I hate people who have an unending hard-on for "originality," and that was greatly addressed in D-Frag! recently with the school festival game-dev contest. It's not restricted to just anime, every medium of story-telling since the dawn of time has been like this.
>One more fucking "flag" or multiple option anime where the MC chooses routes or something and I swear to fucking god
This is where you sound like an idiot, because you are acting like we get these every season every year, when actually there has been just one of these in recent memory (Noukome). Just because you remember Noukome doesn't make another show like it "generic"; if it sounds like something else that doesn't make it the same thing. How many movies would you not watch if you thought "oh it's another action movie/cop movie/war movie/oscar bait, shitsux won't see"? Because you and people like you are doing just that with anime. Wait for the fucking things to come out before passing judgment in other words. You can't sum up a show in a paragraph and tiny picture and capture the mood/atmosphere/character qualities in it.
A show that looks good on the chart summary could turn out fucking terrible, and one that looks terrible could turn out good. This isn't just a "sometimes it's true" thing but a golden rule-of-thumb that every season we are disappointed in something we thought would be good and blindsided by something no one saw coming.
I'll try to watch most of this but I usually only end up watching 3 or 4 things and quickly drop everything else.
I want for casual normies to stop posting.
More like jaded and burnt out.
Then get out of /a/
Sounds like it's time to finally kill yourself
Really? I'm like the complete opposite. It goes something like this:
>I'll just watch a few shows this season
>I have other, more important things to do, so I can't be watching everything
>settle on 3~5 shows that I definitely must watch
>pick up an extra show or two right at the start because of the threads
>by the end of the season, I'm watching all but a handful of shows.
>I add to my backlog anything I didn't get to watch but wanted to
I'm kinda like Keima, I just can't stop myself, but I also don't care because I enjoy it.
Why are you so hostile?
Are you upset I'm not willing to sit around watching little girls do inane shit every episode?
I'm upset you need to blog about not watching anime on an anime board.
***Hitsugi no Chaika
I bet your backlog is shit.
It's also missing Chibi Devi. Then again,
>so bad it leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of those who watch it.
Then why is Onee-chan ga Kita listed?
>Giving a shot
>pretty certain to watch
Date a Live
>People are seriously still picking up Captain Shit
> Blade & Soul
> Aoi Yuuki voicing a character with lots of black in her design
Please let her use her dark Jubei voice.
> top right
What the fuck is that.
Is yuri the thing right now? There's been quite a few yuri themed shows within the last few seasons.
This men is speaking the true.
Yoshino is lewd, not haughty.
Just so you guys know, it's going to have a KanaHana trap.
That's not saying much, since there is no lolicon show these times either ways, so there won't be any in Spring, just like there's none now.
Right now this upcoming season seems pretty shitty.
Holy shit how much of a faggot can you be.
worth picking up:
>blade and soul
shit that you SHOULDN'T pick up or should drop immediatly
>Ping Pong the Animation
If you are interested in crap like this then no wonder the season seems shitty to you
I think that you're the only person in this thread who wants to watch Fairy Tail
They'll never leave, anon. The worst part is that they will continue to shit up the board with their melancholic view of the season.
it's the best shonen
If I were somehow able to magically impose an unenforceable restriction on posters on /a/, it wouldn't be something like that they always use proper English or even that they're necessarily over 18, it'd be that all posters need to actually love anime.
And just what would you watch from this season? Enlighten me, please.
