what did you guys think of the ending of death note?
I thought it was pretty decent, then I remembered this was an obvious troll thread so I have to either complain or sage
I liked the anime ending better than the original manga one.
I wanted him to win.
Light losing makes the entire series a waste of time.
need to be done
SAGE for Deathnote Sucking.
Matsuda confused the hell out of me, during the entire series he would say he supported Kira, leading to some fucking sort of foreshadowing I thought, BUT NOOO
He had to lose otherwise the series would go on forever
He could take over the world and be the king until the end of his mortal lifespan.
It'd be somewhat more radical and interesting, compared to the rather mundane ending that DN really got.
2nd'ed imagine life with a 4-5 season Deathnote HUH! HUH!
He should have gotten bored and retired in a cottage somewhere. Then he could kill people for the lulz while watching television newscasts about random politicians and activists dying horribly.
Both of these endings would involve timeskips with more bawwing than even Gurren Lagann's
hey, that's what I would have done if I had the damn note.
Obviously we both have no sense for the dramatic.
Epic struggles? Pfft.
cont'.... and then one day he got sooooo bored he started digging up on his back yard and then he discovered a mysterious drill. he then picked it up and something came out of the ground.. then his deathnote started glowing. he rolled up his deathnote and inserted it in the hole inside the cockpit thingy of the thing that popped out of the ground.... and another season started...
Anime ending = Light dies due to his miscalculation, does a last, desperperate, run to escape, and finally collapses in a pool of his own blood while having hallucinations of himself as a normal person, and of L.
Manga ending: 20 pages of Ryuk talking.
This is like the kind of shit you'll see on Gaia or something.
Best ending ever.
You have twisted my cottage fantasy into something wonderful.
...Fuck this, I'm gonna go watch Kamina die again.
cont' after activating the thing from the ground, the thing spew out a bossy red doll ordering light to go make tea. and light was pissed, REALLY pissed. he tried to use the note but to no effect. and begins another season...
cont' and as light became a slave to this certain doll, he formulated a plan to get out of this mess. he plans to make a billionaire pigtailed blonde girl to fall in love with him and to bribe him away from this doll with 150 million yen, but the plan backfired an light became a servant to this girl for the debt he has made, and another season begins...
cont' and as light became desperate to get out of this situation, he turns to the world of gambling. he then went to a certain shop to try out his luck. at first he seemed as lady luck was at his side for his winning streak seemed unstoppable. but a mysterious person known as Mr.K offered him a game. this person challenged light to quadruple or nothing. since light became so cocky with his streak he accepted the challenge. but moments later he ultimately lost thus bringing him to an endless abyss of debt. and another season begins...
protip: x or nothing bets dont put you in deeper debt. They just fuck with whatever you did that day.
light vs akagi, I'd watch it
I prefer anime ending to manga ending. I really liked mikami's way to die in that, and light's flashbacks were pretty cool. And no-one saw Light dying, he got his dignity in there (if there was any left from those swimming lessons)
cont' light saw no hope in this situation so he decided to kill himself using the subway train. as he was about to be torn to pieces the moment he opened his eyes he was in a STRANGE room with a STRANGE ball in the middle, and STRANGELY enough he can't get out of this house... minutes have passed since he arrived and then a weird exercise song came from the STRANGE ball inside the STRANGE house. and the ball has some instructions that appeared on its shell it says: "L"ien (w/ a pic of L ) he was ordered to kill that being.. and another season begins...
Am I the only one that preferred the manga ending?
cont' misa noticed the long absence of light and thought that he might be dead. so misa tried to look for a way to bring light back to life, then she remembered someone telling her that there are seven magical spheres that if you collect them they will grant you any 3 wishes, misa using her vast amounts of resources has succeeded in claiming these seven spheres and she was able to bring back light to her side. light being thankful to misa has promised to be by her side forever. the end.... or is it (this season followed by a foreshadowing of yet another season to be added.)
