Remember when SHAFT made good OPs?
Every single OP made by SHAFT that is considered good is actually shit. You can't prove me wrong.
Nekomimi moodo's animation was shit. The song was the good part.
Only their ClariS OPs are shit. Otherwise they still make great OPs.
Nisekoi's OP has a good song
That song was pretty much the only good thing about Tsukuyomi.
Though the anime was still leagues better than the manga, mind you.
Remember when SHAFT was still creative since they had to work with an extremely low budget?
Why prove you're wrong when you can't even prove you're right?
>Still disliking Claris
I thought this joke died down a while ago
I can prove I'm right because I'm already right because I know I can prove I'm right
It's not a joke, m8.
I would nekomimi mode all night back in the day
ClariS only good song was Nisemonogatari's ED, the rest is all the same J-Pop shit.
It's too late.
Haha this guy.
That's their best song, but some others are very good, too (such as Luminous).
It's not funny anymore. Actually, ti was never funny.
I think you misspelled irony.
The only irony is that both of these songs suck.
Actually you just have bad taste.
Remember when they used surrealism and real life photos in their anime? I miss that time.
I think you mean rumba > ringo > bure, anon
I just want Shaft to do another original.
Yeah. Loved that.
They will when they are done milking Madoka.
I just want Nisekoi to bomb horribly so they never attempt to adapt anything so shitty ever again.
Yeah because SHAFT is well known for their shows being highly successful with regularity. They never made a second season of Maria Holic at all.
>when they are done milking Madoka.
So in 15 years?
I've been defeated. You win.
What about their EDs?
Their EDs are usually extremely lazy. Once in awhile they're a masterpiece (e.g. bakemono)
>What is irony
>What is reunion
>What is Connect
>What is Luminous
>What is Colorful
>What is Click
>What is Magia
>What is Hikari Furu
>What is Kimi no Gin no Niwa
Someone didn't watch Monogatari s2.
I'm still mad about no Shinobu OP.
Hey, ClariS can be pretty good too. If only they showed their faces, the world would be a better place.
Maybe they just have really ugly faces.
To be fair the Hanekawa traveling sequence was one of the best pieces of animation SHAFT have done in a long while.
I hadn't bothered to watch Nisekoi's OP before, but it is pretty shit, isn't it? If you took out the colour changes, it would be a really "anime" opening. It doesn't have the flair that SHAFT OPs usually have. Actually Madoda's OP falls into that category too, but I guess that's the point.
I guess the OP needs to attract the target audience and something really out there wouldn't be suitable for people who like something so generic.
And to add: the Sasami-san OP is just terrible all round. Definitely the worst SHAFT OP ever.
It (along with the Neko Black and White openings) was done by the guy who did the Grisaia OP. He didn't do anything else in the show.
It's a shame, because I was looking forward to more and I was hoping that he would replace Inu Curry in the series (since they haven't shown up at all recently). Unfortuantely the only similar thing was Oshino's letter, but that was by somebody else.
What's the name for song for the OP with Kaiki and Hitagi?
Shinobu slideshow was the best thing from the season, though
I just looked the guy up do you have any more information on him all i got is URA?
It was okay, but I didn't think it was enough to carry the whole episode. It went on for too long. They could have used some other methods to show the story, instead of just that.
It wasn't by SHAFT. They brought in Frontwing's lead artist to do that one. He also did the TWGOK Megami-hen ED, and the Neko White/Black OPs. It's easily visible.
>It wasn't by SHAFT
Its in a SHAFT show. It's an anime by SHAFT, SHAFT hired him to do it. Its by SHAFT. If you were going to start making arguments like that you might aswell say that 95% of most anime are not 'by' the studio given lead credit for animation production given the amount of 2nd animation studios, outsourcing and freelancing there is generally.
Thanks dawg, kissu
I'd say it's pretty valid. People still talk about Inu Curry part separately. It makes sense to do so because they're so visually distinct from everything else.
Yeah but how do I prove myself right if you prove yourself wrong because I'm right and that makes me right in and of my own right to be right, right?
They did, remember Sasami?
Sasami was an adaptation.
Wrong. If we assume that you're wrong then that must make me right, meaning that you will always be wrong because I have proof that I'm right because I always write what is right, while you will be wrong because you cannot prove that you are right due to the fact that being wrong means that being right is not possible. To sum it up, what is right is always right if you write it versus you will always be wrong because your waifu a shit
What happened to this?
Saying 'It's not by SHAFT' because someone based in another studio freelanced on the piece is frankly ridiculous. Sure you can say X person did this for SHAFT and you can tell its them. Its more semantics than anything else really. You wouldn't say the scenes in Gurren Lagann Gen'ichirou Abe worked on were by SHAFT just because he did them surely?
Its a Pachinko game.
It's coming right after Kizumonogatari.
The only good one is koimonogatari.
Are you serious?
ClariS a shit
WELCOME TO THE FUTURE OF ANIME, SON!
Why do you want them to show their faces...?
They're 2D beautiful as it is. Why break the illusion?
IT'S ME HOMURA-CHAN
IT'S ME HOMURA-CHAN
IT WAS ME ALL ALONG HOMURA-CHAN
YOU ALL BOUGHT IT
YOU ALL BOUGHT IT, HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER
YOU ALL BOUGHT IT
EVEN MY FAMILY
EVEN MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY BOUGHT IT
No, but if a particular studio was contracted to do an episode, then I would say it was by them.
who gives a fuck? It was good because it was interesting. Things that are visually interesting can be so for a variety of reasons. Animation quality is one of them.
I'm sorry if you like to eat shit.
The problem with this is, the guy might just have been using animation as a catchall for visual as people often do. They will say something like Kaiba had shit animation when they didn't like the art style.
They look like huge sluts
Awh son of a bitch.
>people liking ClariS
It's a Pachislot game, that we know. But we don't know that they -won't- do an OVA or something with it later, right?
>Implying they aren't vocaloids
Well, I kinda wish people would use words as they were meant to be used in that case. I feel like the world is getting more Newspeak everyday.
>people have been using literally to mean figuratively for so long that now both figuratively and literally mean figuratively in common parlance
Most people don't even know how to tell good and bad animation apart and think the frequency and level of complexity with which something moves is the key indicator of quality of animation. Generally on /a/ when someone mentions animation half the time you can assume they are talking about art style and the other half don't have a clue what they are talking about.
I fucken hate you Monogatari fags, every time there's a Shaft thread you talk about Monogatari or Zetsubou Sensei as Shaft's best works and never accept Madoka for what it is. Hell even people here are hating on ClariS, what the fuck? They are great, Connect is probably Shaft's best OP ever. I'm tired of you shoving your shitty harem in other people's asses when Madoka is clearly the best thing they ever did.
Best shaft op
Best shaft ed
Both were commissions by Gekidan Inu Curry, go fuckin figure.
Madotards please go and stay go.
That is one good choice for ED.
Thanks for the laugh, I needed that.
The OP for Maria Holic isn't too shabby either in terms of visual and audio one of their better. That show got it good at both ends.
Isn't the warehouse the Maria Holic OP takes place in the same place Arararagi gets his guts ripped out?
Madoks is my favorite SHAFT show but its OP is objectively shit.
Is probably the warehouse of God, so yeah.
Madoka is probably Shaft's best show, but the opening is nothing special. Also, most Monogatari fans aren't Shaft fans. They're Monogatari fans.
>Also, most Monogatari fans aren't Shaft fans
And how do you know that?
>Monogatari fans aren't Shaft fans
>best selling show post-2000
>best franchise post-2000
Nobody denies Madoka is the best.
>Madoka is probably Shaft's best show
PPD > SZS > Hidamari > REC > Madoka > Monogatari > Soredemo > Denpa Onna > Arakawa > Maria Holic > Natsu > ef > Sasami-san > Popotan > Negima!? > Moon Phase > Vampire Bund
>best selling show post-2000
That actually goes to bakemono, in straight BD/DVD sales.
>>best selling show post-2000
>>best franchise post-2000
Jesus Christ, just get out already.
SZS fans appreciate Shaft for Shaft more than any one else. Most others just like that show (that happens to be by Shaft) but probably don't care much for Shaft's style. Which Monogatari isn't a brimming example of.
>REC that high
Wow look at this faggot
Negima!? was my first SHAFT show, and I've liked them ever since. Bakemonogatari is my favourite though.
Its one of the most compelling short anime I have seen and manages to be one of the best in its genre overall. I don't see the problem.
I really hope you felt dumb after reading your own post.
Now I know you're just trolling, okay then.
In case you guys missed this.
I made some typos. I basically meant Monogatari isn't an example of Shaft's style at it's best.
Bakemonogatari is the epitome of Oishi's style. I can agree with you if you mean the later seasons, though.
You didn't watch Bakemonogatari then, why are you even talking about it?
Who the fuck is that guy
Why was the neko white ED so crap?
The Neko White ED was fine.
