How do I enjoy harems and slice of life anime? Am I just an awful person who hates fun?
harem a shit
only good sol is nichijou
If you don't like it don't watch it.
Don't make a thread like this again.
But this is a dire situation because with each new season there are more and more of these types of anime and less and less of the stuff I can actually get in to.
watch daily lives of high school boys
Harems are like chips, anon. People who say they don't enjoy the taste are either lying or the vast minority. Shouldn't be a surprise either way, even anime hipsters are vocal, whiny cunts.
Somebody post the "medieval english knight shields" one, I don't have it on hand.
Wait for a better season.
>each new season there are more and more of these types of anime
Is the last fad, read manga.
There's still way more than enough anime for you to watch that you might like.
I say it again: If you don't like it, don't watch it.
You should at least be capable of acknowledging and accepting your own tastes.
Work on your backlog
They are good for when you are tired. Since there is no real plot and it's just people doing stupid things.
I like slice of life anime, but it seems like 99% of them take place in a school setting. Then again maybe all anime in general is over-saturated with school settings.
I hate harem and sol too, I prefer grinding mindlessly in shitty ass MMOs.
Everyone likes something that's mindless gratification (like chips, see >>101624157) regardless of it being shit and everyome knowing it's shit.
If it's not for you it just isn't, go with what you like and whatever.
It's a mystery.
It helps if you have an appreciation for the animation, the music, the character archetypes, the overall presentation/deliverance, as opposed to any character development, or plot intrigue.
It can also be a tool for people with unsatisfactory lives to temporarily escape into a world soothing, serene and positive.
You now realize you've relived high school - and other grades depending on the shows - dozens of times through the views of dozens of characters.
Yet you learned hardly anything from the curriculum, and more about cicadas, the dreaded japanese cold and which foods are fucking oishii.
