obligatory what anime is that

Lack of an overarching plot. Deeper character development and backstory for the characters could have made up for it.

Boring shit

Boku no Pico

FFS its perfect. They have the character plot down and everything, though the animation isn't the best it's made up for by a fucking awesome plot. Boku no Moco is pretty good as well.
>>
You mean this doesn't already happen in nearly every thread?

It was shit because CURIOUS.

My favorite anime is actually Madoka.

it's by kyoani

Madoka was boring as fuck. The scenes with Madoka just brooding about things were terrible and sleep-inducing. They could have put some meaningful dialogue in at the very least.

I finished watching Hyouka today

A few problems, there wasn't enough character relationship development, I can see why though, because that would have taken away from the main mystery solving aspect.

Scenery porn 7/10 [amazing in certain scenes, most were pretty lax]
OP/ED 6/10 [A bit bland]
art style 7/10 [pretty standard]
plot 7.1/10
cozyness 7.9/10

Was not made by Shaft. The mysteries were shit as hell, and several times the presentations committed some of the things you should never do in a "mystery novel". Thus this side of the plot was invalidated. The other, the SoL one? Characters stayed mere plot devices till the end, everybody fulfilling a certain role in that machine that doesn't even do mystery solving, it's about bullshitting. Whatever love plot they tried to interweave, was sidelined in one case, and was done again with zero development in the other. Now, that can be made fun in its own right, but KyoAni's animation created severe dissonance with what is actually going on screen. So, what would have saved this anime is being adapted by pre-monogatari Shaft with pocket money for a budget.
