what the fuck did i just read
The worst part.
But Part 6 is better than Part 1, 2, 3, and 5, anon.
can someone post that video of jojo+yuri yuri
No, fuck you.
That's not Part 1
>That's not Part 5
Fixed that for ya
Part 5 at least had its moments, like the 7 page MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA and some neat stands. I can't really recall any stand-out parts from Part 1, really the fight with Speedwagon and the ending. Also nostands
Only good thing about Part 2 was Joseph. It had the worst villain, worst Zeppeli, 2nd worst fights, and the worst story.
That is not Giorno, that is Jolyne
Part 5 had superior fights and characters.
The story about the second Joestar that failed.
And she was a woman.
>It had the worst villain
Pillar men vampire generating maya-like warriors seeking to become perfect beings
>2nd worst fights
Creative use of ripple + actually clever/smartass MC
>and the worst story.
I'll give you this one.
>insulting the fights
>insulting the story
>insulting based Cars
THE OFFICIAL JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE POWER RANKINGS
Cars turned to shit after Wham died IMO
It was dumb how he went from caring for his subordinates to "lol I never gave a fuck about them anyways"
I like this ranking.
Yeah, that's why he's great to hate. He accomplishes his goal as a villain.
Looks like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean, OP.
It just keep getting better and better. But it's all good anyway.
Then is Pucci a better villain because of the part where he kills several main characters?
Including based barnacle-chan ;_;
SBR is overrated
>5 and 6 better than 4
4 = 7 > 6 > 2 > 5 > 3 > 1
Nah. I didn't really care for the cast of Part 6.
My jap isn't very good, but I think it says JoJo's Odd Journeys Part 6 Stone Ocean.
I disregarded your opinion as soon as you put 5 at the end...
I meant to quote this guy
5-7 have some really shitty last arcs. Body swap out of no-where, snails+time acceleration everyone is erased, jesus light train... I really hope part 8 doesn't go off the deep end too.
Fuck you, Part 7's ending was awesome. And it made sense, unlike Part 5 or 6.
But SBR Dio was so good.
What a stupid, objectively wrong opinion.
No one fucking thinks Part 7's ending was good. It's easily the worst one
Did you even read it? How does bringing DIO from an alternate universe with D4C make less sense than fucking Gold Experience Requiem, or Made in Heaven?
No. I love part 5. But the ending was objectively the worst. Instead of an awesome fight against King Crimson we god Requiem, fuck that.
I still love part 5.
Stop using objective when it should be subjective. This isn't /v/.
Part 7's very ending was good, with Dio's decapitated head being his downfall rather than his saviour, but there was a bunch of shit before that.
Somebody said part7 ending?
Made in Heaven made perfect sense. It was part of the entire theme of Part 6 which was 'you can't fight fate'. I don't see how you could think that's an asspull or it doesn't make sense.
DIO I can get, but the entire High Voltage arc was just Johnny getting his shit pushed in for about 4 chapters. It somehow failed to both be a callback to Jonathan vs Dio and Jotaro vs DIO, despite the fact Tusk can ora ora and there's the World.
Hell, all of High Voltage seems like Araki just wanted to stretch things out a bit more. And honestly I'd be okay with it if Johnny was shown to be capable of doing anything after Ball Breaker was over, but he literally fucks up at everything. The only good moment is the one with his dad.
I'm even fine with how Dio gets taken out with D4C's power, but then everything is condensed and the plotlines are given so little real closure, just enough to drop the subject. There's a reason 'he died of a cold' is a joke now. Because the ending of SBR was a joke.
What the fuck are you even complaining about? Love Train? That was explained thoroughly. The other stands were just as "bizarre" as the others.
That's not really what anyone means when they say SBR's ending. And your'e not fooling me into opening that up and getting sad
>It somehow failed to both be a callback to Jonathan vs Dio
When was it ever supposed to be that? Just because it's the first part of the SBR universe, doesn't mean it's going to be 100% Phantom Blood. For fucks sake, it has as many Part 2 counterparts as Part 1. Not to mention Avdol,
For me it was kinda a redo of Part 1 to 3. And Jojolion is kinda Part 4. Of course they have their own unique flavor but it still take some elements from the first parts.
Because regardless of the refrences to Part 2 and part 3, it's still Johnny's story. It's a retelling of Phantom Blood, which is what Araki has always said SBR was. If some people want to say DIO was a fanservice thing, fine, but it fails at that to even bring back feeling of Jonathan vs Dio, like I said.
The second to worst part.
Boring characters, a lame villain and some okay to good fights on top of the worst ending ever.
>which is what Araki has always said SBR was
I see people say this about a lot of things. Never did I once find him say it.
Yeah but stand moe
The best jojofu doesn't make the part any less lame compared to the rest of the series.
Do good quality scans of Part 3 exist, or is it all yellow scans with white MSPaint boxes over them?
I saw the anonscans rescanning project, but it's far from complete.
To me it felt like an experiment. Not the best, but I didn't hate it. I might have if I read it when it was coming out, though.
Implying part 4 wasn't the best. Part 4 had best villain and stands
No that's it unfortuantly. There's just anonscans which is defunt because he's sick and gave up because of possible digital western versions. And then there's the last two volumes which the scanlator gave up because he got mad at someone else having the gall to try to scanlate the first three volumes of Stone Ocean at the same time as him
> this must be the work of an enemy stand
> nah, just an alien
Every fucking time
I really like Part 4 but it was more of bizarre day in the life than adventure.
Kira is fantastic but doesn't make up for all the stupider "villains."
Part 5 had better fight and stands (apart from gold experience and requiem).
Also the best style.
> meanwhile, Kingdom is getting 3 chapters every few days, because scanlating is easy when you're competent
I need more
Gyro...god dammit why...
These get me laughing every time.
While I'm glad that the art 3 anime is going to be truer to the manga I'm still gonna miss Dio flying through the air and throwing trucks.
>Tfw there will never be an alchoholic stand user
Can stands get drunk too?
Could you imagine drunken punch ghost battle?
In the end of manga Jotaro and Dio were inexplicably flying for no reason, they should animate that way as well. Looking forward to see how they show The World's time stop for the time, it was done really well in the manga.
It was nice not having Dio as an enemy again, he's cool and all but not in every part. Kira was best villian and also had the best fight but ye you're right
likes the little dudes stand tho with the evolving and all and also kira's stand. The tower was cool too
>In the end of manga Jotaro and Dio were inexplicably flying for no reason
They were just jumping really far anon.
Is that not basically flying.
Seriously they appeared to be in the air for a long time. But then again the whole fight only lasted a few minutes despite taking 20 chapters, so who knows.
I was kidding but yeah given the pace of the fight and all the time shenanigans with their air time is something that stands apart from other fights in an odd way.
We'll see how David handles it.
>ORA vs MUDA animated
>Star Platinum stopping Jotaro's heart beat animated
>"The one who stopped time was me" animated
I am going to be erect for so long that the only cure will be a penectomy. I don't even like Part 3 as much as 7, 4 or 1 and still.
You guys do know that Stardust Crusaders has been animated before, right? The OVAs?
I'm sure everyone is aware of the OVA's and the mediocrity of their content.
Yeah, and it was a terrible adaptation.
Next you're going to tell me that the Sun in on fire.
That's one of the best things about SBRverse. No more Joestars vs Dio.
Where the hell do you think you are? /v/?
Can never be too sure. I know the OVAs were very meh, but they have a special place in my heart as my first jojo related media.
Yeah now it's just a curse.
Whether it's a Higashikata curse of a Joestar curse, I'm not sure. From the family tree, the Joestars got over their problem of A. Dying young and B. Only having one kid per generation.
That said, I might be wrong. I'm starting chapter 20 right now.
I love this.
I wish more people did things like this.
1080p or 720p anime
>tfw I own that entire series and love it
God damn it was great, I love Kakyoin's "Joestar-san". The whole thing was on the low end of the quality spectrum voice-wise but it's serviceable and funny at times because of it.
Nigger, all of that you mentioned was done very well in the old OVA - minus steamroller, as it was an oil truck.
Not at all. It was meant to animate the "best of" fights from the latter half. It did this very well.
It took creative liberties, but it was very faithful to what Jojo was. The 2000's OVAs were shit though.
>tfw they'll never dance again
I don't know why but based on that short trailer for SC I am assuming it's all going to be done much better this time. Not that it was particularly bad the first time, just that it will be better for the new anime.
OnoD and Koyasu alone will make it better than the OVAs in my opinion and I kind of like 1st OVA Dio's voice.
Araki is a great Mangaka, but he is really crap at planning ahead. Gaping plot holes like Gold Experience being pierced by the arrow early on in part 5 with no effect, and Annasui changing gender is just sloppy work. Stone Ocean is a complete mess after the introduction of green baby, and the ending is worse than the concept of "it was just a dream". He basically erases the whole universe his work takes place in, making me feel it was sorta pointless to read it in the first place as it didn't really happen.
Thank god Araki stopped drinking just prior to SBR, it really shows.
When you say 'crap at planning ahead', you're implying that he actually tries. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how he works. He just writes what he feels like and has fun, and if sometimes comes into conflict with a previous story 'he forgot'.
So how long do you guys think JoJolion will take?
Araki's weekly releases took around 4 years or so each part while SBR lasted almost a decade.
At this rate, probably 5-6 years.
Not really disproving my argument. If he doesn't even try to plan ahead, how is he not doing a terrible job at it?
Not that I even think he works like that. I think he's fully aware of many of the plot holes, but feels that he can get away with contradicting himself, if he does it well enough.
Some things can't be explained though, people Koichi defeats turning into midgets can't be blamed on bad planning as it happens more than once.
I reckon it could last as long as Steel Ball Run. Will be interesting to see where the main story goes with it.
As long as SBR, if not longer due to the numerous delays.
>people Koichi defeats turning into midgets can't be blamed on bad planning as it happens more than once
You could probably come up with some bullshit about symbolism or whatever in that example but the more likely scenario is that Araki just felt like it and his editor thought "well it doesn't really change the story so much, why not."
That doesn't fully explain Annasui's sex change or maybe some other things though, but readers seem to be willing to let it slide because the rest of it is so good.
You might just be taking things too seriously. Everyone wonders about Hazamada and the Lock guy turning into midgets, but it's just another weird quirk. JoJo isn't something you seriously think about and mull over it's plot holes, or things that just don't make sense. You'll go crazy like that
Pucci succeeded in making me hate the shit out of him
Does part 5 ever stop being shitty? I liked it at first then it turned into a boring mess and now I'm struggling to read it.
I thought he said it was because there were so many girls on the team, he wanted at least a second guy? Since at the start he was hinting at Weather being Jolyne's love interest. But I'd also believe the idea that Annasui's personality didn't change, just the editors didn't like the yuri context of her being obsessed with Jolyne
>Irene will never appear again in the HORSE universe
I wouldn't mind part 8 being really long if it would pick up the fucking pace. The last few chapters are definitely working towards something but I wish it did this a long time ago.
It picks up at some points. Otherwise no. But Stone Ocean and Steel Ball Run are great. So once you push through VA you're pretty much gravy
The fights stay cool though and it picks up a bit once they find Trish.
Just hold out for the mediocrity of Stone Ocean and the awesomeness of Steel Ball Run.
Trish was such a disappointment, in everything. She does nothing, her stand has a big reveal but does nothing. She has romantic subtext with Bruno, and then Mista out of nowhere. She might as well have just died earlier.
While that makes sense, there's no real even remotely plausible way to explain why he started off as a girl and ended up as a man in the end. Whereas you could come up with some bullshit (unbelievable and tenuous, most symbolic/psuedo-deep bullshit but still) to explain some of the other plot holes, that one would be a bit harder.
Is part 6 the most bizzare part?
No, part 8 is.
Heavy Weather was pretty fucking bizarre though.
It gets pretty damn bizarre towards the end and of course in the end but every part has given us just us much weird.
Part 8 has been loaded with weird but I blame that on Araki giving us more in more questions with hardly any answers.
in the end she was just a tool for Giorno to lure out Diavolo.
The "romance" with Mista being the fact that she swapped bodies with him, and eventually came to terms with how he smelled like shit?
I find myself having a hard time remembering what each individual character was doing in the end part of part5 due to the body swapping. That concept may not have been the best of ideas.
Editor meddling is what I'll stick with for my explanation for Annasui.
I didn't believe people when they told me how bizarre part 8 is. It's easily the weirdest and it's still very early on. By comparison, SBR had only gotten to the point where Tusk showed up for teh first time.
>"lol I never gave a fuck about them anyways"
He cared about them, it's just that he himself wasn't a 'romantic' warrior like Wham.
I've never been reading an ongoing Jojo before Jojolion. I wonder if it would seem less bizarre if I read it in one sitting.
It really is some weird shit
the first is supposed to be jonathan right?
i love how many times we heard that due to that curse, all the joestars die young but we haven't seen that many joestars die.
He explicitly says "Fuck Wham, I just want that stone"
To be fair, we have no idea what happened to Giorno and Josuke. And Jonathan, Johnny, and Jolyne all die relatively young, while Joseph just lives forever.
When did he say 'fuck wham' explicitly? And since you said explicitly, I expect you to show me proof of him straight up saying 'fuck wham'. Cause unless I'm just retarded and don't remember that, I don't think it happened.
I was being hyperbolic
But re-read Cars vs. Joseph and you'll see
It definitely makes it weirder. Especially since I keep forgetting things that happened only a couple of chapters earlier. Wonder who the main sort of villain in it might be. I'll be happy as long as we get more Killer Queen at some stage.
Did they even carry on saying that after Part 2/3?
Giorno could easily have been killed, and inexperienced leader of the Italian mafia at 15, even with a stand there is many ways to assassinate him. People wonder why he didn't show up in Florida like Dio's other sons. Death is a great explanation.
Josuke was probably killed by Rohan when he finally discovered evidence for him cheating in the card game, which resulted in Rohans house almost burning down.
One of my favorite parts.
Part 6 is a great part.
I liked the theme "Fate" and Pucci is the best Jojo villain in my opinion.
>Had the best goals
>Killed the Jojo party.(You might hate him but Jotaro is the strongest Jojo after Giorno with the arrow, but the arrow is a temporary thing anyway.)
>Came the closest to achieving his goal
>Has the most powerful Stand
>Symbolism with DIO = GOD
>People wonder why he didn't show up in Florida like Dio's other sons
He was at Disney World.
>Giorno not in Florida
But Anon, he's in Disney Land
Speaking of which, why isn't there any fanart of Giorno having fun at Disney Land?
>avdul would never give someone a death so cruel
>here's a knife, kill yourself
>Giorno could easily have been killed
No he couldn't Do you understand his power? It negates literally every attack to him. Jotaro tries to ora ora him, it's defense mechanism activates, Jotaro is stabbed to death by a hobo.
>and Annasui changing gender is just sloppy
Cars is not human.
He was upset by his comrades deaths but he only truly cares about becoming the perfect being,so the extinction of his race matters not.
His goals > anything else
Giorno with the arrow >Giorno without the arrow
GER is temporary
The arrow falls of the stand, otherwise Polnareff would have used SCR instead of plain Silver chariot against Diavolo.
>Implying Giorno brought the arrow and Polnareff to disneyland
Also can someone please explain Diavolo's backstory to me,the translation is awfull.
Cars auto know that without friendship you can't be a perfect being.
>implying you dont get a free pass to disney if you bring in a talking turtle
dude, disney was fucked up in the head, trust me
the guy was bonkers
Polnareff didn't want to use SCR because he was afraid of it's power. That's what he said in the flashback
So then why does the arrow fall of GER and GER returns to being GE?
They need the arrow and need to stab themselves with it,thats another reason he didn't use it.
He was scared of it and needed to stab himself.
GER has the arrow on its person though, its right there on the forehead.
Man, Araki's usage of color is fucking trippy. I absolutely love it.
Where did he say he was afraid of the arrow? If he really was he wouldn't carry the damn thing with him all the time. He wasn't afraid of it, he was afraid of it falling into Diavolo's hands
The worst ending ever.
A gigantic piece of shit. That ending made me drop the whole series. Yes, I read part 7 but I have no interest in honestly getting back into JoJo's after the whole main universe was killed off. So stupid.
You dropped the series but finished the subsequent part anyway?
You should try Jojolion or wait until it's finished. It's completely crazy.
What if Giorno was on Disneyland when Bohemian Rhapsody was activated?
All dose dead mickeys and goofys.
boring cast with boring dialogue and boring personalities
I liked Stone Ocean's ending.
i liked what it brought us
>Also can someone please explain Diavolo's backstory to me,the translation is awfull.
He's pretty much the Anti-Christ, born from a jailed woman in an all-female jail with no male staff whatsoever.
>people rage this hard over Heaven
Pucci's just getting better and better now
