Which do you prefer and why?
I prefer dubs, because I can listen to it without having to keep my eyes fixated at the bottom of the screen to read every last word.
What's bait about it? Is everyone on /a/ a narcissistic sub purist?
I prefer whatever I have at the moment and then I seek for the other one if it exists, enjoying both.
This is low quality b8 right here, if you can't read, then this is not for you.
I can read it just fine, but why would I want to be inconvenienced? It takes away from the enjoyment of it.
I prefer the dub of TTGL.
Deal with it.
I have no preference. Subbed takes away from some shows because it can distract you from visual subtext and foreshadowing through imagery.
Dubbed is good but sometimes the voices don't suit the character or they just sound shit.
Either way if it is there I will watch it.
>the great debate
There's a debate?
Also nice b8.
I watch anime raw. Because I am more intelligent than you and know more languages
I still like the fact that they got a white guy to voice a black guy wearing a pink shirt.
Stop replying to shit threads.
>the great debate
Use settings on your media player to raise the subtitles a little higher. Then you don't miss as much of what's going on while reading them. Mine are about 3/4 of the way down the screen instead of at the very bottom.
This is very useful. Thanks anon I never even thought of doing this.
It works with MPC yeah?
yea 99% of /a/ are cancerous fags that came from /b/ there are only a few true oldfags
>subs for the emotion
>dubbed when showing friends
I dunno, I use VLC
if you are somewhat smart its doable on any player
SAO has one of the best black guy dub voices I have ever heard. Primarily because the black guy in it actually sounds like a normal, non-stereotypical black person. Klein's dub voice sounds shit though, he sounds like a teenager when he's supposed to be an adult. The rest of the voices I have no strong opinion one way or the other about.
I generally prefer dubs, however there are some dubs I've run into that are so terrible that I just have to stick with the sub.
just no im not even him, you fucking recognize his privilege
>the great debate.
YYH dubbed was actually really good.
Soft subs, that way if I don't like it, fuck it, I can swap it out.
Dubs there tends to only be one watchable option per language, and if you don't like what they did you're stuck with it. Plus it costs whosoever's distributing it more and makes them take longer, I kinda don't see the point unless it's gonna be on cable TV or something.
Yeah, no. You sound retarded and from /b/ yourself, if you always type like that.
On topic, certain shows have good dubs, but once you go subs, you never go dubs.
After watching subs for so long, Im used to skim reading them out of the bottom of my eye. Dont need to look down the screen.
Dubs can also be fun. Depends on the show.
Panty and stocking for example was fun to watch dubbed and just laugh at the crude humor.
Space dandy is also proving to be a good laugh in dub.
Where the fuck are the mods? God damn
No, you misunderstood.
Obviously it's "the great (de)bait"
Problem is that I watch most anime as they come out in Japan, therefore I watch the entire show in subs. Then when the dub rolls around I'm so used to the sub voices that it sounds really weird to me regardless of how good the dub for the show actually is. I generally feel the same way if I watch the dub first, after that I just can't enjoy the subs because the voices are different. Though either way I can adapt to the new voices if I stick with it for about 3-4 episodes.
Oh come on, what's wrong with this thread? It's not like it's fake news or misc. flamebait.
Just post your opinion. Relax.
Except that it is a flamebait. Just look at the replies
Only if it moe....Subs are a fucking commitment
le neck beard masterrace xD. Either provide to the thread or gtfo.
I'd watch dub over sub as long as the voice actresses aren't mono toned trash.
oh whatever. The crew that's piled into /a/ right now, christ.
Okay, let it sink.
Learn to scan/skim read, it's much faster.
I prefer subs over dubs. I find that original voice actors have more emotion than they do in dubs.
>Don't care if this thread is bait.
If dubs are good sure, why wouldn't anyone? Of course the subs are usually better.
